An independent woman. A prideful man. A brutal storm. Can this Christmas unlock the love they never expected?
Gertrude Devlin expected a fresh start on the Montana frontier, but not a boss like Art Loftis—a man as cold and unyielding as the brutal winter storm that traps them together. Art wanted a young, docile bride, not a fiercely independent woman who threatens his control over his hotel and his heart. As the snow piles up, so does their tension, turning every encounter into a battle of wills. But as secrets crack through their defenses, an unexpected spark ignites. Now, with nowhere to turn and everything at stake, can this unlikely pair survive each other—or will they burn through their last chance at love? A clean and wholesome Christmas Romance by Faith Quinn
Just not good. Feelings changed with no real motivation. The Hero was obtuse and the heroine was boring. A love story is supposed to make you fall in love with the characters. There just wasn’t romance— and I don’t mean sex I read clean stories.
Gertrude was working for the wealthy as a cook, and they did not appreciate her talent. Gertrude answered an advert for a cook and possibly even more in Montana. When she arrived she noticed Art's disapointment in her looks. But, when she cooks everyone loves her.
Loved it. Gertrude was a very special woman which took Art a long time to realize it. But in the end everything worked out for both, she got a restaurant and he got a wife and partner.
