I’M A FOOTBALL PLAYER… SHE’S A CHEERLEADER… BOUND BY A STRICT NO-FRATERNISATION RULE.
BUT NOW WE’RE STRANDED IN A STORM, ALONE IN MY CAR, AND EVERY INCH OF MY BEING WANTS TO IGNORE THAT CONTRACT.
With a demanding father who won’t get off my back about carrying my team to the NFL final, I have no time—or desire—for anything that doesn’t involve football.
But my team’s image needs mopping up, which means spending time with the cheerleading coach’s ambitious and sprightly daughter, who I’m pretty sure dislikes me almost as much as her mother does.
She’s bold, outspoken and a hazel-eyed, honey-haired pain in my ass.
A pain I’m slowly starting not to mind.
Everything in our contract says we can’t have each other, but I’ve been expected to follow the rules my entire life.
This was such a quick and enjoyable read! I loved the romance aspect and found Mae and Nathan's chemistry fantastic. The slow burn build-up between them was intense, which made their connection all the more exciting. Nathan is the football captain, and being the oldest on the team, he feels the pressure to set a good example for his younger teammates. When he first meets Mae at a bar, there's an instant attraction, but things get complicated when he discovers she's the daughter of the cheerleading coach who isn't exactly his biggest fan. As a result, he tries hard to keep his distance from her.
Nathan is passionate about football—it's his life and his ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl. He doesn't have time for a relationship, so when Mae comes along and becomes a major distraction, he feels frustrated. His backstory is tough, and I felt for him. Watching his character grow throughout the story was so rewarding, and I found myself rooting for him when he finally chooses what makes him the happiest.
Mae has her challenges and struggles too, but she never lets them get her down. It was heartbreaking to see how her mom treated her, but thankfully, she has supportive people around her. I loved how she gradually breaks down Nathan's walls and discovers the gentle and protective soul beneath his grumpy exterior.
Overall, this was such a fun and lighthearted book! The chemistry between the main characters was wonderful and the "one bed" scene was done perfectly, adding to the tension between them. The romance was sweet, and there were plenty of swoon-worthy moments that made my heart melt.
eeek, I had another opportunity to ARC read lotties upcoming release & I couldn’t be more grateful for this so a HUGE thank you to her! 🥰
“dangerous” has been an anticipated read ever since Lottie started teasing nathan & maes book, & I have no words to describe their story! everything about them had me consumed & I couldn’t get enough. 🤭
mae & nathan had me stunned. I was kicking the air with their banter & the tension was absolutely insane between them. the enemies to lovers in them had me gasping & needing more — like yall, nathan was admiring the hell out of mae & all she had to say was “are you having a stroke? what are you looking at”, 🤣 that was the quote that made me want this book even more. but their SWOON moments together? even better. it was just so hard not miss a moment with these two.
I loved them together but individually, each of them had a story & it just made me want to hold them & never let go. 🥺 my heart felt at full with them towards the end & they were just perfect in all. mae was amazing, the way she continued to stay strong & take on the criticism for her sake, the way she able to stand for self in her moments but the way she was full of care & love. & as for nathan, the way that this man was everything & more. how utterly protective of mae he was, he fell hard & absolutely HARDER (even when he didn’t want to 👀), there was no going back. 🥹🥹
“dangerous” was amazing & everything i had hoped for. loved the story, the characters, the plot, & the setting. Lottie in her sports romance era is top tier moment, & I’m so excited for her upcoming book in the series with evan & flo! 🤭
Oh, how I loved this book. I think it's safe to say that this book might have just saved me from an about-to-be reading slump! This was everything I wanted and more...
𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: ღ Footballer x Cheerleader ღ Coach's daughter ღ Grumpy x Sunshine ღ No Fraternization Rule ღ Sports Romance ღ Slow burn ღ Found family
I don't think words can describe how quickly and thoroughly Mae and Nathan stole my heart, both separately and together. How I laughed at everything Bennet said and adored Evan and how protective he was of his son. How Radish stole my heart and I think he still has it. I'm not okay, because gosh these characters, this universe. I'm so done for.
It gave me similar vibes as Mile High, so if you loved that series, this book is FOR YOU!
I'm going to end this review with a few of my favorite quotes. If the pure amount I raved about this book is not enough, I hope these quotes convince you to read this stunner of a book (because I am still reeling from it, if you can't tell😭)
“I’ve never wanted to be a droplet of water before. But there’s a first time for everything.”
“The word ugly and you don’t even belong in the same sentence, Mae.”
“This girl has the ability to fucking ruin me. And my life. I had wanted to savour the moment. I haven't had a woman in my bed for a long time—not that I’d missed it—but having Mae so close to me was different. It felt right.”
“There’s something about confiding in someone else when, for the most part, you’ve been silent, which makes you realise how far you’ve fallen. How deep you are. How deep I am. Because Mae Bexley does something to me—something no other woman has ever done. She makes me forget about my problems. She makes me feel alive again. Like me again, and fuck, he’s been lost for a long time.”
“If she won’t support her daughter, then I will, and I’ll do it without complaint because caring for Mae Bexley is no skin off my back.”
“I marvel at how perfect she is. How perfect she is for me. But she doesn’t wear perfection like most people do. She’s perfectly imperfect. Authentically herself. Her humility is quiet. But clear as day to me.”
Convinced? I hope so. I can’t recommend this enough.
Thank you, Lottie, for the eARC in exchange for a honest review! I poured my heart into this because this book took my heart right out of my person. I am so exciting for Evan and Flo’s book!💗😚
I was literally smiling and kicking my feet throughout the entirety of this book. 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨 was such a fun read but, it also had so much heart. I loved it and simply could not get enough of 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 + 𝘔𝘢𝘦. Their chemistry was evident from the very first meeting, their vulnerability was inspiring, and their love was downright swoon worthy. This book is a romance girlies dream. I truly loved following along on 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 + 𝘔𝘢𝘦’s journey to happily ever after.
I definitely recommend reading this book. It’s sweet & spicy with all the feel good vibes. I am very much looking forward to reading more from this author, and I’m especially excited for future books in this series.

Well the upcoming book by Lottie Moore will be exactly what you are needing.
Mae and Nathan will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am so lucky to be chosen as an Arc reader, meaning I was able to get lost in this world early on.
Mae is a strong minded, sassy woman who I absolutely adore. Her life got turned upside down when she was let go from her job. Little does she know she will fall perfectly into the arms of the grumpy old football player. Nathan Slater.
Nathan. Yet again another beautifully written character to love. His moody personality contains cracks allowing you to see the true him underneath the icy exterior.
Every character is portrayed in such a way that you feel you know them. They are your friends, your family. Except some people… they know who you are 🤣
Lottie Moore has a way of making a romance book hold so much story. Such a captivating read within the spicy chapters, which were 🤌, are chapters that build on the story. Betrayal, jealousy and love all spun into one.
All I can say is if you’re looking for a spicy sports romance then look no further. Nathan and Mae and waiting for you to read their story. I will see you there 🤭
Thank you Lottie Moore for choosing me as an Arc reader, to dive into this world you have created. It’s truly appreciated and I loved every moment
4,5 ⭐️ | This was one of my most anticipated releases of this year and I’m so happy I got the chance to read it before the release. There’s something about Lottie’s writing that sucks me in because once again I couldn’t put her book down. It was such a fun, sweet & spicy read but also showed a vulnerable side of the characters which made me love them even more.
Nathan is an American football player and Mae becomes (due to some unfortunate events) a cheerleader for his team. They are forced to spend time together and even though they signed a no-fraternisation contract things are heating up.
Nathan and Mae were so perfect for each other! I loved how Mae was able to break Nathan’s grumpiness and we got to see how sweet and caring he is. Him calling her princess had me in my feels every time. 🥰 Their chemistry was undeniable and I loved how their relationship developed so beautifully. The things they were both going through made their bond even stronger and the happy ending was so heart-warming! 🫶🏼
Thank you so much Lottie for sending me an ARC of Dangerous! 💗
I love a grumpy x sunshine forbidden romance, and this was very well done. Mae (the FMC) is so fun, teasing, smart mouthed, clever, and witty. I love her and I want her to be my bestie. Nathan (the MMC) is the sexy, sweet, hot, broody, broken, guarded, kind, and caring football player with a golden heart you can't help but fall in love with. Together, they’re just perfect. The tension and the teasing between them is chef kiss and it leads to some marvelous spicy moments. All in all, Dangerous was a fun, sweet, spicy, and quite entertaining read. I definitely recommend it. Can't wait for Evan and Flo's story!
I want more! These two were absolutely adorable. One of my favorite things is that the author didn't emphasize the age gap. I am not the biggest fan of that type but I forgot it even existed half the time You follow Nathan, the football team captain, and Mae, who is a temporary cheerleader. They get partnered up to work on bettering the team's image. But so much more happens. They are complete opposites but so perfect. And he does not mind keeping up with her energy 😉
This book follows Mae, who has just lost her dream role working with animals & her apartment. so she sucks up her pride and heads home to stay with her mother. their relationship is not on great terms and one of the stipulations to move back in, is to join the NFL cheerleading squad her mother coaches. This is where Mae meets Nathan, captain of the Missarali Storks who is working his hardest to carry the team to the finals and be the perfect son his father wants him to be. After the last season, the footballers & cheerleaders are tasked to clean up their image, everyone is placed into pairs and get some good press. The one rule: NO FRATERNISZING! but we all know rules are made to be broken ;)
I absolutely loved Mae’s character and despite giving up her initial dream, found love in that change and rolled with it. I love how sassy she was and nearly gave up Nathan for his happiness and dreams. She was selfless and loveable.
Nathan is our typical grumpy football player who has a lot on his plate. Trying to juggle his team as well as the high image his father wants him to be. Seeing his moodiness falter around Mae is so sweet.
The ending of this book was my absolute FAVE - I'm a sucker for them type of scenes. (no spoilers - you'll know when you read though!). The growth in both main characters was admirable and our HEA was just perfection.
Lottie did a fantastic job at making us feel all the emotions, the chemistry and connections were buildable throughout. I was hooked start to finish and read this in under 24 hours! Don't let that pretty af pink cover fool you - this book packed some spicy! We had fully open door, detailed moments.
It was a super sweet yet spicy read with a fun plotline and loveable characters!

Thank you Lottie for sending me an ebook copy in exchange for my honest review.
[ This book review reflects my own views and is based on my personal reading experience. All opinions provided are my honest evaluation of the book ]
[this review has been cross posted on various sites]
This was basically my introduction to sports romance as a genre and I have to say, I think I'm a turned woman! I feel like I've been missing out all this time on something beautiful🥹 I'll be reading more of this genre thanks to this book and will definitely be picking up the rest of the series when it comes out! I'm so grateful that Lottie chose me to be an ARC reader and I can't wait for you all to get to love on it come Friday!
I was hooked immediately; the writing style was so easy to read and I honestly couldn't put it down. The tension between Mae and Nathan from the get-go was the perfect amount and watching their chemistry grow was so wholesome🥹 their meet-cute was my favourite thing! And when you get to know more about the location and why it's so special to Nathan is just the cherry on top🥲 Mae is the sweetest girly who can also be cut throat when she needs to be (I relate to this on a deep level😂) and Nathan is Mr Grumpy who is sunshine only for her (and an exception of Poppy who I also LOVE). Some of the scenes in this book had me kicking my feet a little too hard!! Honourable mentions to: "Fuck it.", "I had nowhere else to go.", one bed, the locker room, the TENT😮💨 Nathan kept referring to Mae's mouth being the death of him, meanwhile his mouth was the death of ME. I can't wait this man. He is everything we want in an MMC; protective, loyal, jealous, encouraging🥰 I'm a sucker for the princess nickname and Mae now owns it because the way Nathan treats her is nothing if not that🫶🏼 Also consider this as my official hate statement to Kevin Slater🖕🏻
I'm so excited for the next book in the series🩷 Evan and Leo have captured my heart already🥹
Fav Quote: "Everything before… that’s just before Mae Bexley. And it will stay that way forever, because she’s my future."
“Just because you love the ocean doesn’t mean you have to drown in it.” – This quote perfectly captures the intensity of this book, and I was absolutely drowning in every moment of it.
If you love a romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat, Dangerous is exactly what you need. It had everything I adore in a love story: ✔️ Forbidden love ✔️ “Enemies” to lovers ✔️ Sneaking around ✔️ The one bed trope (!!) ✔️ Spicy scenes that actually make sense for the story ✔️ Slow burn perfection ✔️ And, of course, football players 🤤
Nathan and Mae were the perfect characters. Their chemistry was electric, their backstories were well-developed, and the tension between them was chef’s kiss. The build-up to their relationship had me absolutely hooked—I had to force myself to stop reading because I was devouring this book. I was giggling, kicking my feet, and blushing like a complete maniac.
This book gave me major Ana Huang vibes, and I loved every second of it. Lottie Moore is officially on my auto-read list, and I cannot wait to dive into more of her books.
If you’re looking for a swoon-worthy romance that will make your heart race, Dangerous is the book for you!
I absolutely loved Law of Love by Lottie Moore—it was a five-star read for me last year, so I couldn’t wait to dive into another one of her books.
This sports romance did not disappoint! It was such a fun, spicy football romance that kept me hooked from the start. I adored both main characters, Nathan and Mae. They had amazing chemistry right from their first meeting, and they balanced each other out perfectly. But what really got me were their more vulnerable moments—those made me fall for them even harder.
The side characters were awesome too and Radish the dog? Stole the show for me. If there's a dog in a book, or any animal for that matter, I'm instantly in love.
Also, I’m so excited for Evan and Flo’s book to come out—I loved them both and I’m a sucker for a single dad x nanny trope. Can’t wait to see how their story unfolds!
All in all, this was a super enjoyable read. If you're looking for a sports romance with good vibes, chemistry, and a cute pup—definitely give this one a shot!
Okay, but how am I supposed to recover after this book?? Dangerous had me in an absolute chokehold, and I’m not even mad about it.
Let’s talk romance — Mae and Nathan? Breathtaking. That’s it. That’s the review. The chemistry?? Explosive. The softness?? Heart-melting. The way they just get each other?? 𝗜’𝗺 𝗿𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱. 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱.
Mae is such a sweetheart, and seeing her navigate her family struggles while Nathan’s battling his own just hit me right in the feels. Watching them find safety and home in each other was so 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹, I was on the verge of tears half the time and grinning like a fool the rest.
𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥??? 𝘛𝘰𝘱. 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘛𝘪𝘦𝘳. I was giggling, blushing, and absolutely kicking my feet like a teenager with a hopeless crush. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆, 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate football players? 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼??? 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘯𝘰 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘢𝘥? 𝐈’𝐦 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤.
I couldn’t put Dangerous down! Lottie Moore has written such a gripping and steamy sports romance. The chemistry between the football player and cheerleader is off the charts and I loved the mix of tension, passion and real emotion.
The characters felt real, their struggles were believable and the story kept me hooked from start to finish. It’s exciting, heartfelt, and seriously addictive.
If you love enemies-to-lovers with plenty of spice and heart, then this book is the book for you
Final thoughts: Dangerous is a must-read for fans of sports romance with spine-tingling chemistry and heartfelt emotion. Lottie Moore hits the sweet spot. It's steamy, heartfelt and thoroughly addictive. Five stars all the way!
I really enjoyed this read! A quick, tropey, mild spice romance. Nathan and Mae, both headstrong athletes, with similar parental issues, trying to get through their necessary PR volunteering stunts to help boost the image of the football and cheer teams.
The characters were funny, loveable and relatable. The plot was engaging and fun. I did find the storyline slightly wattpad-esque. But I eat that stuff up everytime.
If you enjoyed Hannah Graces Maple Hills series, this is very similar!
If you like tropey, quick, witty NFL romances this one is for you!
Absolutely brilliant! Up there with one of the best books I’ve read! Pages and pages of sexual tension like you wouldn’t believe! A slow builder at first but definitely worth the wait! The ending is as assumed but I’m a sucker for a love story. 100% recommend
After losing her job at a vet clinic, Mae is forced to move back home with her mother. But there’s a catch… she must join the cheer squad for the Missarali Storks football team, the squad her miserable mother coaches.
Nathan Slater, star football player who also happens to be the biggest grump, is forced to spend time with Mae. They are required to sign a no-fraternization contract and if it’s broken, there are big consequences. Things quickly heat up between the two and rules get broken.

I was lucky enough to receive another arc from Lottie and I couldn’t be more excited to tell you guys how amazing this book & author is!!
I was giggling and kicking my feet reading this sweet football romance! Nathan and Mae’s love story is like no other, simply the purest and most beautiful. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, the chemistry was undeniable. They started as enemies and ended as a couple who were perfectly made for each other.
They both grow so much together and it’s so nice to read. They care about each other so deeply, it’s insanely cute!! Nathan is so protective and sweet… but the mouth on that man!!! Holy shit!!! He’s crazy hot, she has a smart mouth… they compliment each other so so well!
I totally recommend reading this book! The release date is Feb 28th! You don’t want to miss it💗
“She makes me feel like me again-and he’s been lost for a long time.”
This book! THIS BOOK! Was absolutely AMAZING. It had me laughing, kicking my feet, excited, crying, yelping, all of the feels. I loved Nathan and Mae instantly. They both are such good characters and them together were DANGEROUS!!(Just thinking about them makes me excited) Their connect was so good from the first time they saw each other. Ahhh so good. The spice was SPICY! The tent scene and the locker room!!! 🥵 Nathan’s mouth was a romance girlies dream. (I’ll take one of him please!) The back and forth between the two, had me in a chokehold.
I recommend this book so much! I related to some aspects of their stories (won’t go too deep into it, wanna avoid spoilers) which made me connect to them even more. PLEASE RUN to read this because it was AMAZING!!! What I would do to read it for the first time again! 💖
“Don’t pretend you look at everyone the same way you look at me, princess.” The corner of Nathan’s lips curl.“Look at you, how?”“Like you want me to fuck you.”

Thank you to Lottie Moore for allowing me to read the ARC, for my personal review.
Wow I loved this book SO much! I’ve not read that many sports romances, but when I saw the tropes for this book I RAN to apply for an ARC and I was lucky enough to be chosen so thank you so much Lottie!
The chemistry Nathan & Mae had form the get go was😮💨 I think Mae is one of my favourite FMC’s, she’s funny, snarky & just a queeen 👸🏼 I found myself laughing out loud at some of the comments she made😆 Nathan was your typical grumpy athlete with other issues deep down. I loved his character development & the growing relationship between him and Mae
The enemies to lovers was in full swing, the fact he fell FIRST was incredible, I was kicking my feet multiple times. Nathan is so protective and jealous I was grinningggg so much especially towards the end🤭 If you love the nickname ‘princess’ let’s just say this is the book for you😮💨👸🏼✨🏹
This was my first book by Lottie and I really loved her writing. Nathan & Mae were just perfect for each other! Nathan Slater though, the mouth on that man, damn I was not expecting that! 👀
This has everything you'll love from a sports romance, forbidden love, Coach's daughter, and even a super cute dog Radish. Defo one to add to the tbr.
never rated a 5 star this quick! Everything was so amazing omg!! 5 stars all around. Chemistry, Tension, Characters, Romance, Pacing, all PHENOMENAL!! This is how u write a romamce book!! I was HOOKED from the first chapter and couldn’t put it down. I loved the yearning and how the love was portrayed! I miss the characters and I loved them all. Mae is literally like a dear friend , and Nathan the perfect man that you are 🫦 also the side characters were thoroughly entertaining too!! can’t wait for the next book im this series 😛
thank you to the author for an e-archive of this book in exchange for an honest review
Unfortunately, this one was a miss for me. While I was able to speed through it and liked this slightly more than her debut novel, I found the characters to be underdeveloped and the plot to be poorly researched. I understand the author is not from the US, and there is a disclaimer that there may be some inaccuracies, but it’s so obvious she has no understanding of the NFL. The entire plot was just so unrealistic, and I couldn’t get past it. I also think the writing style just isn’t for me… there’s a lot of repetition with wording and scenes that are all over the place. However, I did enjoy the relationship between the main characters. The tropes in her next book are pretty intriguing though… I mean sign me up for single dad x nanny!
read if you like: sports romance, animals, football x cheerleader, forbidden romance, grumpy x sunshine, spice
