I bought this book because it’s incredibly difficult to get books in this area, so when I saw the title and skimmed it quickly I just had to get it.

When I saw the 2-3 reviews the book had I was a little disappointed but now having read the book, I think anything below 5 stars doesn’t do justice to this book.

Yes there are some things that are on the fringe and the author doesn’t provide sufficient evidence for their mental excursion but that’s also the point that the author is making that this area is too new and needs to be let in for more work to be carried out.

The author makes the case of quantum effects in biology using a handful of examples and says that quantum effects are everywhere. They are probably right in this context - and then they build the case for metabolic disorders and they are probably right on that as well. I found the content very illuminating. Yes I do agree that some of the bridges are weak and perhaps the author is trying to stretch things out but I think it’s perfectly valid at this stage of the research in this field.

Everyone must read this book - it’s worth it. It will definitely expand the reader’s horizon on all things biology. Definitely recommended.
