An undeniable improvement. Cleverer writing, sometimes. Finer art, occasionally. More stories, because the book started with some four-page micro-comics. So far, this has been my favourite issue.

All these stories are lame, even the ones co-written by Joe R. Lansdale. Of course, it doesn't help that some of them are only a few pages long. I'm not sure the writer exists who can tell a satisfying story in only a dozen or so comic book panels. Seems like the editor was really scrounging for material on this one, especially when you consider that one of Lansdale's contributions is a strikingly unnecessary companion piece to the 1979 Jack-the-Ripper/time-travel movie TIME AFTER TIME.

Slicker than the old comics, but somehow lacking in much of the charm. The stories were mostly alright, same with the art, but somehow lacking in of it felt a little flat.

The first story is about a couple of punk kids that are trashing a house and get a rude surprise. An unscrupulous attorney gets his come-uppance in the second story. The third story, the first three being very short, a guy runs over a woman and kills her but is done in by his own GPS.

The next story, a regular length one, is about a guy who has a clone and mistreats it. It's one of the few stories in this series of volumes where the evil guy does not pay for his deeds. The next story is about a killer who takes over the guy's house and finds a rather major surprise there.

The next story is about a possible reality show that is really deadly but has high ratings. In the next one Jack the Ripper has a run-in with something belonging to H.G. Wells. The stories are all good.

Of the 3 I read, this was the least entertaining, I think the stories are wearing down to mere money making. It's like the Final Destination movies, it just keeps going.

This was interesting enough but certainly for juvenile, sadistic children. I mean why do things like this exist? Well, I give it one thing, these are fun stories, and slightly if not very disturbing. If Stephen King had his way with these, a whole new generation could be insomniatic.

I still enjoyed it, but the sub plot was cheesy and unoriginal. Just weird really.
