Dani Hartley is running from heartbreak and shame. She needs a new beginning, a fresh start with no commitments or attachments. What she definitely doesn't need is a gorgeous cocky sex god trying to fly in and play Superman.
Lucas Wade knows a thing or two about running. He has secrets in his past so dark they've turned part of his heart black. He only truly cares about two people in the world, his mother and little brother Logan. With the past that he has, the last thing he wants or needs is a mouthy red head busting into his life trying to get to know him and his secrets.
What started as one night of passion quickly turns into a mess of feelings and desires that neither Dani nor Lucas can deny. But, what happens when two lost souls try to save each other all while working to keep their own secrets hidden.
How far down would you follow someone to save them from them self? And how do you save them if they don't want to be rescued?
Follow You Down is the second book in the Reflect Me series, but can be read as a standalone.
K.B. Webb is an Amazon bestselling author. She lives in a small Louisiana town with her husband, two daughters, and crazy dog. She stays home during the day being a full time mom and spends her nights writing. When she's not writing or chasing after two kids, she loves to read, cook, and watch Grey's Anatomy reruns.
“Sometimes life is fucking hard. So hard, you wish you’d just die.” This is one of the first lines I read in this book and it hooked me right away. If that isn’t a true statement, I really don’t know what is. We’ve all gone through rough times in our lives, and I’d be willing to bet that we’ve all had very similar thoughts. We meet the main character in this story Dani, right smack in the middle of one of the worst times of her life. She’s moved from her hometown to run from a disastrous scandal and is determined to build a brick wall around her heart. Determined to have relationships with no strings attached, no messy feelings involved.
Dani is such a kickass female. A real woman. She’s also a girl that made mistakes, made bad judgement calls that could have sent her scurrying under her covers to hide - but that’s not what she does. She’s too strong for that. She picks herself up, says a sassy little “see ya the fuck later” to the dust on her shoulder and moves on with her head held high. And as an added bonus - that girl can work a stripper pole like nobody’s business! Damn. She makes me want to go out and take some fucking classes. Especially if it helps me get a man like Lucas right where I want him ;)
Lucas Wade. A tall, sexy drink of gorgeousness. He swoops in one night and completely flusters and saves Dani all at the same time. In her new lifestyle, she’s taken a job as a bartender - a job she is ridiculously unqualified for. Luckily for her, Lucas decides to come to her rescue….for a price of course. He’s one of those guys that takes what he wants, he comes with his own baggage and just like Dani - is just looking for a good time with no strings attached. With the chemistry and sexy flirting going on between them, it looks like Dani is the perfect girl for him. What could go wrong right?
What I loved about this book was that it tied in the characters from the first book. Molly and Logan stole my heart and since I didn’t get the ending I wanted in Reflect Me, I was thrilled to see them back again. KB Webb surprised me with how effortlessly the two stories flowed together - fantastic.
Lucas and Dani are a unique couple, their attraction and physical connection is so intense but they constantly deny each other any emotional ties. They rely completely on their lust for each other...and boy - lust is very nearly enough! Lucas is a king in the bedroom (black silk ties anyone?), and Dani is irrefutably his match. Their passion was squirmingly hot - a delicious fire in the bedroom and I loved it.
Past baggage and dark secrets do have a way of finding their way back to us, no matter how hard we fight to keep them buried...when that happens to Dani and Lucas - will the bond they build on a purely physical relationship be enough to save them?
I have to mention Dani’s Mom Gail - I adored her character. She was so charmingly hilarious, she was tough as nails and sweet as candy. She loving accepted her daughter for who she was and supported her every step of the way. I mentioned she was hilarious right? Trust me - she steals the show in my opinion.
“Sometimes loving me will mean following me down into my own personal hell. I need to know that you’ll follow me and save me from myself, not run.”
Would you be willing to descend into someone else’s Hell all in the name of love? Find out what the fate of Dani and Lucas, Molly and Logan is in Follow You Down.
This can be read as a standalone, however I do recommend that you read Reflect Me first, so that you can get to meet Molly and Logan.

Follow You Down is the second book in the Reflect Me series by KB Webb, both books are stand-alone and follow the same timeline showcasing two separate sets of characters. You definitely don’t have to read the Reflect Me to enjoy Follow You Down, but I would suggest it because it gives you insight into things going down in the background of Dani and Lucas’ story. That and it’s a great read.
We start off this book with Dani, she’s just moved to a new town after experiencing a messy break up. It’s a fresh start for her, one that she desperately needed. After sulking for longer than acceptable (at least to her meddling mother) she enrolls in college classes and gets a job at a local bar, Ricky’s. She is hired as a bartender, and has no clue what she is doing. Enter Lucas. He finds the new bartender attractive and can’t help but offer his assistance when he sees her struggling with mixing drinks. In exchange for a date he agrees to give her lessons…
Dani is everything you want in a book heroine. She’s got a feisty side, but is also soft and vulnerable. I do like that she is confident in herself — she owns her sexuality and makes no apologies for it. Because of her past she’s not interested in a relationship, but a good time? Sure. The attraction to Lucas is instant, but she keeps him at a distance. Well, she tries.
Lucas … I could just hump his leg or smack him upside his head. Maybe both. Such a typical frustrating man. There are moments in the book where he is like a freakin’ knight in shining armor and I’m like FINALLY he got his crap straight… and then he thinks with the wrong head and needs to be throttled. The tension between him and Dani is palpable. And the chemistry? It’s through the dang roof!
KB Webb has an amazing ability to write a vast array of emotions into her characters/storylines. They really are a roller coaster of highs and lows. Not to mention the smexy parts. I love how she has me laughing out loud one minute, then setting my panties on fire the next. It’s refreshing to have characters that can make fun of themselves and not always take themselves so seriously. There are so many overly dramatic and over the top books out there this is like a breath of fresh air.
I do have to take a quick minute to mention Dani’s mom — one of my favorite secondary characters I’ve have read in a long while. She cracked me up and kept it real.
I give Follow You Down FOUR stars for storyline and FOUR stars for smut! An great read by a great new voice in the indie world. If you like your romance laced with humor, angst, and hot smut this is definitely the book for you! A certified Mommy’s a Book Whore must read!
Dani's mother has always been right. Dani is hundreds of miles away from her family and the only life that she has ever known. She became a person that she didn't want to be selfish and self centered. She bought herself an apartment in Monroe, Louisiana with hush money, Dani got a job at Ricky's as a bartender she thinks that this is a step down for her. Dani has never bartended before and all she knows is whiskey and beer, she doesn't know how to make girly drinks. Lucas offers to help by teaching her how to make drinks in exchange for a date. This is book 2 in the Reflect me series. You don't need to read the first book to understand this book. This book falls into the romance genre. Dani Hartley used to be a stripper she is going to take college classes, she seems like a very caring, loving person. She doesn't want a relationship. Lucas Wade works as a dock hand, a womanizer he used to be a bartender, cares about his little brother Logan. He doesn't do relationships. Gail Hartley is Dani's mother, she stays at home she is a very nice, caring and loving person, wants what is best for Dani. Mark Hartley is Dani's father, didn't want Dani to be a stripper, Police officer for over 25 years. Geo the owner of Ricky's and Dani's boss. Molly waitress at Ricky's, curvy, nice, helpful, has a daughter Lyric. Wynee is a waitress at Ricky's, helpful, nice, covered in tattoos. Jasmine is Dani's neighbor and friend, nice. Jason is Jasmines older brother, very protective, nice. Logan is a very nice person and he cares a lot about Molly. There are a lot more characters in this book. I can relate to all the characters and they are very likable. I loved this book. I loved that I was drawn in from the first page, I wasn't able to put this book down until I finished it. I also liked that the story line you could relate to. I loved the authors style of writing. This is my first book by K.B. Webb and it will definitely not be my last. This book is one of the best books I have read this year. While reading this book I was very happy and some parts I was very upset at. But one of my favorite quotes from the story is “ Life is hard; then you die.” I loved this book!!
Follow You Down is the second book in the Reflect Me series, but can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the first book in this series so much, that I dived right into this one immediately. I devoured this book in one afternoon! I became addicted to Lucas right away and couldn’t put it down. This book somewhat parallels Reflect Me and intertwines the story and characters perfectly. The writing had a smooth and easy flow just as the first book did. This one was also written with a dual POV so you were able to feel the emotions of both characters.
Dani has moved to town to make a fresh start. She has made mistakes and decides that she can start over and put the past behind her. She is certain that she doesn’t need any friends, no commitments and certainly no boyfriend! She gets a bartending job at Ricky’s. She has no clue what she’s doing, but that doesn’t stop her from trying. While messing up drink orders, breaking a sweat and pretty much starting to freak out…he walks in and saves the day.
Lucas has a past that he would also like to forget. He is very different from his brother Logan (From Reflect Me) in many ways. Lucas is not the relationship kind of guy. No commitments, no emotional connections and certainly no girlfriend! Lucas walks into Ricky’s and is suddenly mesmerized by a fiery red head behind the bar. Can they agree to use each other physically without any complications? He sure as heck is gonna give it a try.
“He runs his fingers down my back before resting his hand at the curve of my ass. I can feel his heart beating and can smell the sex on his skin. I realize I did mean what I said. I am his, but what does that even mean?” ~Dani
I highly recommend this book. As much as I liked Reflect Me, this one is even sexier. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series and more from this author.
I was a lucky bunny and managed to win a ARC (THANKS AGAIN!!) I have read the previous book so I was bouncing in my seat over this one.
Danielle Gail Hartley is starting a fresh - After falling for a married man who broke her heart and fobbed her off with a pay-off and a NDA. So it's time to leave her Mom (Gail Hartley - Reminds me so much of my mum its not funny), her Dad (Mark Hartley - Kick ass daddy/cop), her job as a high class stripper and Dallas behind.
Her new job at 'Ricky's' is going well with the exception that Dani has no idea about being a bartender - If it aint a beer or a whisky she's pretty clueless - But the silver lining arrives in the form of the one and only, hunky monkey, Mr Lucas Wade!! HOT DAAAAAMN.
Within minutes he has her set in his sight's but only as a one time thing and that's exactly what Dani has in mind too. Neither do relationship - Or so they say.
Dani's trying to prove a point that relationships are not her thing but Lucas practically announces it at every opportunity - His hiding behind a range of things from his past that make you rugby tackle him to the ground and hug him - maybe lick him too?!
I read this book in a day because I just could not put it down and at the end I was practically begging for some miracle chapters to pop up.
As I said 'Follow You Down ' has the perfect mix of laughs, love and some very tasty dirty bits and amazing characters - My personal fave being Mommy Gail - HILARIOUS WOMAN.
COMPLETE WINNER FOR ME!!!
'Dani Gail, I have seen you dance asked to "Pour some Sugar on Me"; We are past the point of TMI.' Mommy Gail
Amazing! I thought I was hooked on K.B. Webb's style of writing after Reflect Me but I was wrong. NOW I am addicted!
The story of Dani and Lucas is full of complication and takes you on a genuine roller coaster, in the best way possible. Simple is not words to describe the relationship as their story unfolds. Dani is someone you instantly admire for her strength and ability to do what she needs to in order to make her life her own. Instantly she knows that despite Lucas being infinitely HOT he is not one for anything but a few nights of fun. Between the interfering ex's, good friends and family, and three alarm scenes you see the story and all of its facets develop. Falling in love with both of them, despite Lucas' ability to be a jerk and a sweetheart simultaneously, is easy. As their relationship progresses you wonder if who they were before is less than they can possibly be together.
Webb’s ability to get you to appreciate the characters’ personalities and underlying motivations is impressive. She infuses a humor in her writing that is a true gift and makes those laugh out loud moments possible. She brings each character to life and makes you care about who they are and what is going to happen next.
If you are looking for a book that keeps you reading from start to finish with a little Alpha and a side of HOLY HOTNESS this is your book. K.B. Webb needs to get busy and keep writing because I want MORE!
This book was provided to the reader for an honest review.
I really, really liked and enjoyed this book so much, that I couldn't put it down.
I really liked Lucas, a womanizer who never thought he could fall in love -- according to him, he doesn't do relationships.
Dani, a girl who has been hurt being involved in a relationship with a married man and ultimately he chooses his wife over her. Dani leaves her hometown to start a new life and ends up from Dallas to Louisiana.
She meets Lucas and start having a no strings attached relationship, but boy that relationship didn't last very long as a "no-strings attached" kind of relationship.
They both ended up having some pretty strong feelings for each other. They both vowed to not fall in love, but it was inevitable. The question is, is it going to work for them, they both have said their secrets from each other....the question is, have they been completely honest with each other? When shit hits the fan, will they be able to forgive and forget?
The supporting characters in this book were an extra bonus in this book. Totally loved Jazmine and Jason (brother and sister).
I loved how Lucas finally breaks down his walls and realizes how he feels about Dani and Dani has a soft heart and tends to fall pretty easily for men. Her and Lucas sound like a really sweet and cute couple.
I received a complimentary advanced copy from the author for an honest review. Totally give this book 4 stars.
You definitely should get it, it hooks you from the beginning!!
Amazing story about struggling with trust, and finding love in an unexpected place. Found myself feeling a bit sorry for Dani at the beginning, and yet thinking she got what she had coming. Quite often, throughout the book I found myself in multiple ways of feeling at any particular moment.
I like how open K.B. Webb is with her writing in this book. Not afraid to swear...that there was awesome..
I love how strong Dani was,and yet behind the closed...and yet sometimes not closed doors she was submissive.
Dani and Lucas were perfect for each other. Both through something that left a permanent scar on how they perceived love. Starting out just physical was safe. Felt good and felt right. Little did Dani and Lucas know that what they truly walked into was a mending of their own souls. What once was a no relationship clause, turned into, two who walked a mending road. But it isn't going to be easy with each path comes obstacles and boy do they have many to go through. Trust,Ex's, Past and Secrets...Oh my! Dive into this awesome read...though I recommend you be ready for a shower later ;)
Ah Lucas. Lucas is scorching hot, hot, HOT and every woman loves him. Lucas doesn't 'do' relationships, he doesn't 'do' having a girlfriend, but what he does 'do' is girls! He does them well, hard and satisfying.
He doesn't stick to just one girl either, however, he has made an exception with just one girl who he has known for a long time, but they are just "bedfellows" [putting it politely]! There is nothing polite about this book, its definitely a 'fuck me' 'fuck you' book. Its hot, its horny and its compulsive reading.
Dani is a lovely, outspoken, direct kinda gal. You know where you are with Dani, you know just what she is thinking too! I loved her.
The relationship between Dani and her Mom using Skype to communicate was just awesome, I felt like I was sitting in the same room as Dani and cringing. But then, I saw it as a Mom myself with grown kids and ME cringing lol
Awesome book.
The F word is in the constantly, so get used to using it!
I won a copy of this book and was asked to leave an honest review so here I go!
I love Lucas Wade!!! everyone needs lucas in their life!!! he is hot! he is domineering in bed it is so sexy!!!! he is just amazing! even when he is fucking up he is amazing! ya just cant hate him! he is definitely one of my favourite new book boyfriends!!
Now for Dani! well I loved dani as well! she is feisty and outspoken but not too in your face, just the right amount! :)
As for the rest of the characters I loved Danis mum (yes Mum not mom, I am Scottish) I loved Jasmine and Jason, what a brilliant brother/sister combo! I cant wait to read more about them in the next book in series I hope??
This is a must read book, you should go buy a copy when it is out!! :)
I was given an ARC for my honest review I'm not sure there are enough stars for this book. Ms. Webb came back with book two and bitch-slapped us all. Lucas and Dani are so relatable. What I loved about this story is that through the flaws of the characters, you can see people you may know or even yourself. I swooned, hummed and cringed. All in all very good follow-up in the series; and good lawd can the woman write hot and steamy scenes. Can't wait for Jasmine and Ryan's story; my heart was in my throat during their "meet".
If I could choose two words to describe this book it would be : Steamy and Entertaining. This book I just couldn't put it down. I loved how unique the characters were. There was enough drama and steaminess to keep the readers wanting more. I thought that Dani's character was interesting and like that her family/upbringing was normal. I really enjoyed her mother when she made her appearances in the book. I loved the connection between Dani and Lucas. The story line the book was well written. Overall I really enjoyed this book and think you lovely readers will too.
I loved Logan in Reflect Me but seriously Lucas in this book is so hot.
Dani has moved away from her family to get a fresh start from mistakes made in the past. She gets a job as a bartender where she meets some great characters including Lucas. We've met and loved these characters in Reflect Me so it was great to read about these characters again. This book has a great storyline which had me sitting and reading this in one sitting.
I really do recommend these two books. Although you can read this as a standalone I felt I got more out of the story by reading both.
I won an ARC of Follow You Down from Mrs. Webb but even if I hadn't I would have purchased this book anyway cause her first book was wicked as well. Love love loved this book! Not much else to say other than it was awesome! Everything about this book was awesome! Dani is wicked and Lucas is down right hot. Add in some hot dirty sex and you have a firework book! This book will leave you satisfied in every way.
I won a copy of this book and was asked to leave an honest review so here I go!
WOW loved this book as much as the first,if not more.well written, fantastic story line, and one hot alpha male.what more can you ask for in a book.looking forward to next book and im now counting down the months lol.
this book was great. I loved reflect me and this was like visiting a bunch of old friends. I received this for an honest review. well my honest answer is that I loved it . I cant wait for Ryan and Jazzy's story ;)
Dani moved from Dallas, Texas to Monroe, Louisiana to get a fresh start after a terrible break up. As close as she is with her parents Dani needed to put some distance between her and her old life. After her mother convinces Geo the owner of Ricky’s bar to hire her daughter without any experience, Dani reluctantly takes the job. Her first night working is off to a bad start when a handsome strange comes up to the bar and offers to give her bartending lessons in exchange for just one date. Knowing she won’t last long at this job without help she agrees to the date.
Lucas Wade is known for one-night stands and hooking up with a girls around town. He even has a long-standing arrangement with an old high school friend. After a bad experience with one woman and having grown up with an abusive father, Lucas doesn’t believe that love exists and if it does then it only means that you will end up getting hurt so why bother?
When Lucas walks into Ricky’s on Dani’s first night working he can’t pass up the chance to meet her. After talking to her for only a few minutes he knows she’s not like the rest of the females in town and he has to have her. To get what he wants he offers bartending lessons to Dani in exchange for just one date. Since Dani has no other option she agrees to his proposition but will just one date be enough or will them wanting more.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. When I finished reading Reflect Me (the first in the series), I wanted to know what Dani’s story was? She seemed to slide into town, now her and Lucas are hanging out more. I unable to put this book down and went on a reading binge just to see what is in store for these two.
Dani is a headstrong woman who has made some poor decision in her life. I like that she owns up to most of them to Lucas before their friendship starts to bloom and becomes more. Lucas is a guy who has had a world of hurt and is hiding himself because he doesn’t want to feel that way again. He’s a protector by nature due to his childhood and I love how he still wants to protect his brother Logan and friend Dani when they are both strong enough to take care of themselves.
As I read further into the book K. B. Webb threw a twist into the story, what I thought was going to happen next didn’t. She took any chance of predicting what could happen out of the story with that small twist. I like how she didn’t follow the predictable path and made the story line more realistic as to what happens in every day life. I love where this story went and how it end. K. B. Webb wrote another amazing story and I eagerly anticipate the third in this series Heartbreak Warfare. I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone of my friends and all my fellow readers.
Follow You Down is the second book in K.B. Webb’s series, Reflect Me. From the beginning of the story there was so much to take in and process. I was immediately swept away by the characters and the way the story was headed. K.B. is a genius with the way she makes her stories count! This book did not disappoint. The way she brought in the other characters from the first book in the series also intrigued me. I was reeling the entire time reading it and wanting to find out what would happen next!
Dani Gail Hartley is trying to start over. She had a messy break-up that was shameful to say the least. She is young and trying to get a fresh start in a new place, while enrolling in college classes and working as a bartender. However, being a bartender is not her forte and she receives a proposition from a sexy guy who she can’t resist. Not wanting any attachments, she launches into a no strings attached relationship with the playboy, Lucas Wade.
Lucas Wade is sex maniac! He wants sex from any and every girl he can get, with of course, no strings attached. He doesn’t do relationships. When he sees the sexy red headed new bartender he dubs “Red”, he immediately hatches a plan to have her too. However, little does he know that she is unlike any other girl he has ever been with!
Will Lucas fall for Red and break his no relationship rule? Will Dani let go of her past and become attached to Lucas? This book was everything I was hoping for and more. The characters invoked in me happiness, sadness, excitement and arousal throughout the whole book! If you want a book to play on all your senses…Read this book! Well played, K.B! ~TSRBR
Would I recommend this book: Yes! This book is hot, steamy, sexy and erotic all rolled into one! It also has a great plot and should be read!!!
Would I read other books by this author: Yes! K.B. is one of my favorite authors. Her stories tug at the heart, but are oh so erotic! I love her writing style!
***Received an ARC of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review***
Follow you down is the second book in the "Reflect Me" series. You can read this as a stand alone though.
K B Webb has done it again. I loved the first book in the series and the second book was just as amazing as the first book and just as hot, if not more hot. Dani has just moved to a new town after a very bad break up. She wants and desperately needs a new start. Dani moves, enrols in college and gets a job at Ricky's being a bar tender. Dani has no idea how to be a bar tender. Lucas works at the same bar as Dani. He thinks Dani is gorgeous so offers to help her with her bar tending in exchange for a date. Dani is a great girl. She is very vulnerable and sweet. She can also be a little bit feisty when she needs to be. She's fun and owns her own sexuality. She is strong and out going. I loved that she knows she's made mistakes, and wants to correct her wrongs. She's a great heroin. Lucas is smoking hot dominant country boy, who hasn't had a very good past. He's been lied to and hurt badly in the past so doesn't get close to anybody or want to settle down. The chemistry between Lucas and Dani from the start was hot.You could feel the connection between them instantly and it just grew and grew and the book continued. They were perfect together. The story flowed very well and I was hooked right from the beginning. Lucas and Dani were so easy to like that I just wanted the best for both of them. I loved reading how Lucas slowly started trusting Dani throughout the book and seeing his barriers coming down. He and Dani were perfect together. I loved how K.B Webb bought in Logan and Molly in to the story and tied the loose edges up with their characters. K B Webb managed to bring them both in to this book in a very seamless way. Lusas and Dani's chemistry was smoking hot. There bedroom antics were out if this world. I've never read scenes so hot before. I couldn't put this book down. It took me on a emotional journey and I can't wait to read more by K B Webb in the future. Her books are now a must read.

K.A. Webb does it again with Follow You Down. This one is about Lucas, Logan’s older brother and his love, Dani.
Lucas’ past has him never wanting to settle down. He was lied to and hurt by something he never saw coming.
Dani thought all she wanted was to have some fun. Only that fun ended up with her falling in love with the guy.
Lucas and Dani’s chemistry was HOT. It was more than hot, I loved them together. Not only could you see that they were meant to be, but you could see it went beyond just hot chemistry.
They of course had their ups and downs. But who doesn’t when you go into something saying you wont fall for eachother, then you do. They both fought it, and when one pushed to hard it made them realize that their love was worth fighting for and that they belonged together.
Another 5 HUMONGOUS AMAZING STARS
K.B Webb did it again, she swept me away with Lucas and Dani’s story! It’s always the ones that fight so hard that fall so quick. Not only was this an excellent book it was HOT!!!! I absolutely loved the characters and can’t wait to see what this author has up her sleeve next.
Before I start this review let me just preface by saying that I love how this book could be read as part of a series so simply as a stand alone. If you read Reflect Me, than certain parts of this book make more sense of fit a little bit better, but again, it's not required.
When I started this book I knew that it was going to tell the story of Lucas and Dani, which are two characters from the first book. Lucas and Dani's story starts right at the beginning when Dani first moves to town and happens concurrently to Reflect Me (book 1). So, this is where the versatility of the author comes into play.
Lucas and Dani are both characters that are present and have a supporting role in Reflect Me and it is hinted at what their future will hold, but you're left grasping for straws until you read Follow You Down.
Follow You Down is a great story about two people with terrible pasts and enormous trust issues coming together and teaching each other how to trust and how to really love someone else.
Lucas starts off the book as a prick but quickly redeems himself becomes one of my favorite characters in literature that I've read recently. He plays the bad boy, the too cool for relationships kind of guy; that is until he meets Dani.
Dani is the girl with the sordid past... former stripper, and an affair with a married man. She gets paid hush money if you will and decides to use it to better herself. Start a new life for herself. Still I'm unsure how she picks this small town since she knows no one there prior to moving, but that's trivial.
Together these two great characters with all of their baggage and past transgressions find each other and learn what it means to care about and really love another person.
I definitely urge you to try these books if you're looking for something new. You won't be sorry. I can't wait to read the third book. I am definitely a fan of K.B. Webb.
I really enjoyed the second story of this series. I like Lucas and Dani’s characters a little more I think than Molly and Logan. Lucas we learned about in the first book as Logan’s older brother and protector basically; he was Logan’s father figure since their father had run off. Lucas had some deep seated issues with commitment because of the way his father treated his mother growing up. Dani was a new bartender and the place Molly worked and just from reading things from Molly’s point of view you knew this girl has some issue; Dani had an affair with a married man, who happened to be in the spot light in her town so she had to relocate to be away from it all. Lucas and Dani start out as a just sex relationship and you know how those turn out; nothing good ever comes out of those. One person always ends up falling for the other and if you’re lucky, they reciprocate and in this instance these two both can’t admit that they want something more even though they have clearly surpassed the just sex relationship. Lucas tries to convince himself that he doesn’t need Dani and does the unthinkable, which I won’t tell you, you’ll have to read to find out. Dani just gives up and lets him be until he comes crawling back to her and wants to try the relationship thing. Secrets start and just keep piling up until they all come into light killing anything these two thought they could have. Will Dani forgive Lucas for his past indiscretions or will more secrets of her own come into play that makes Dani be the one that needs forgiving?

5 stars WOW! This book was so much better than the first one. It had a Kristen Ashley feel to it and KA is one of my favorite author. The story is HOT! Filled with hot sex (loads of it) and drama (loads of it) keeping the story very interesting and very fast paced. I didn't want the story to end and wanted to know more about Dani and Lucas. These two together are one hot pairing! Dani is a fiery stubborn woman who knows what she wants, but still has her sensitivity and tries to guard her heart but looses that battle. Lucas is a hot one night stand kinda guy who ends up falling for the one girl who keeps him on his toes because he wants to make things work between them. Miss Webb really nailed it with this story it's fun, had me laughing in the first few pages, it's emotional, made me cry and made me swoon, there's something about the Wade brothers. The characters were both really stubborn but into the same type of relationship and into the same type of kinky stuff which worked really well, I wasn't expecting something this hot when reading the first one. I'm left wanting a lot more! We also get a lot of insight and back story for the first book. It's set when Molly is still with Brian and about to dump him so we get to know more about what happened through Logan's head when things went down between them which is good because you understand a couple of reactions the characters had in the previous book and it all makes sense. We also get a glimpse of what's to come in book three and I cannot wait to get my hands on that one. It's gonna be bloody brilliant!
This was an amazing book. I loved it so much. This Monroe crew is one of my favorites. All though this book can be read as a stand alone I suggest you read Reflect Me first. You will have a better understanding of what is going on in the book from others characters point of view.
I immediately loved Dani, she is fierce, headstrong and really unsure of herself. She thinks that she knows what she wants but really she has no clue. She has let several men break her spirit down and thinks that she is only worthy of pain and loneliness.
Lucas Wade is HOT AS HELL! I loved Mr. Wade... He just like Dani thinks that he knows what he wants, but in reality what he thinks he wants is no where close to what he needs. He will have to get over the demons that his daddy left him with in order to ever move on with his life.
I enjoyed this book so much. The author does an amazing job at expressing the feelings of each character and gives you the POV of both Dani and Lucas. As I was reading the book I kept wondering if these characters were based off of real people. The author puts so much passion into these characters I cant imagine that she doesn't have real inspiration for them.
The book is full of passion, turmoil, and so many different levels of emotion. It will keep you turning the page and falling in love with everyone in the book. I cannot wait to read Heartbreak Warfare.
Reviewed for A Wanton Book Lover Blog: Follow You Down, (Reflect Me Book 2) delves into the developed of the relationship between Dani Hartley and Lucas Wade (Lucas is the older brother of Logan Wade; Dani works at Moes with Molly). Looking for a new beginning, Dani finds herself bartending at Moe’s with no bartending experience. Lucas happens to be at Moe’s on her first night and watches her struggling. He offers to help her out in exchange for a date. Lucas and Dani’s have hot sexual chemistry and find themselves regularly “sleeping” together as Dani has made it clear that she does not want a relationship. Even though neither Dani nor Lucas wants a relationship, they find themselves eating breakfast together, hanging-out, and more or less, in a relationship. This is all threatened when Lucas’s ex-fiancé shows up and Lucas finds out about some important details about Dani’s previous relationship that she didn’t disclose.
I really enjoyed Follow You Down. Dani and Lucas had a HOT sex life! Lucas was also into a little kink so that kicked the story up another notch. It was interesting to see what was supposed to only be a physical relationship into an actual relationship. Lucas and Dani’s characters were interesting and quick to jump to conclusions which lead to an interesting story line. I also enjoyed the new characters introduced including Jasmine and Ryan which will be the subject of the series.
Sexy and fun, this book kept me glued to my tablet from beginning to end. I actually read it in one evening because I couldn’t put it down and that was after I read Reflect me earlier that afternoon. Yeah, I was that wrapped up in these characters and their story. Lucas and Dani are a lot a like in some ways. In the beginning they both agree that they don’t want a relationship because they’ve been screwed over in the past. Lucas is sexy, honest, and sweet to Dani. Dani is trying to get her feet back on the ground after an incident back home. She feisty, funny, and loyal to her friends and family. These two instantly click and even though they fight it at first, its obvious that it won’t take much to push them beyond their comfort zone into the ‘more’ territory. Both of them were entertaining when they’d banter and tease each other. It was very easy to get pulled into their world. The story line was engaging and flowed nicely. I had no problem breezing through this because everything read easily and I didn’t want to put it down. The characters were fun (even the supporting ones) and they all had their own personalities that defined them as individuals yet they all melded together to great a great group of people. I really enjoyed this story and I really hope there will be more in the series. 5 out of 5 stars!
