Conrad Miller has watched his three best friends find love and happiness while he has remained as the perpetual group grump. It’s not his fault he hates most people and can’t stand anyone outside of the strange, dysfunctional group that’s grown to become his family. After losing his parents at a young age, he’s grown to rely on order, schedules, and being in control as an attempt to not absolutely lose his mind. But as his nightmares get worse and the constant nagging from his friends starts to wear, he knows he either needs to make a change or get left behind.
With the help of a persistent therapist, a dog he doesn’t want in the first place, and a fitness instructor who hires him for a project, Conrad starts to learn that sometimes the best things in life are unplanned and come in packages you never expected.
Henry Baker is relocating from the U.K. to Charleston to chase the dream he and his gran have had for open up his very own dance fitness studio. After amassing a major online following and facing the loss of his beloved gran, Henry takes the trust fund she left him and relocates to the lowcountry to finally make his dream a reality. One step in making it happen? Hiring the grouchy software engineer to design him a fully custom website and app that allows him to stream his workout classes worldwide. What starts out as strictly business slowly becomes more as he learns that this grumpy American has more to him than meets the eye.
Both Conrad and Henry have parts of their pasts they’d like to keep locked away and safe from prying eyes. But they learn that sometimes there are people who can see you for who you truly are no matter how hard you try to hide it. And if you let them, those people might just change your life forever.

THANK YOU REBECCA FOR THIS ARC AND I CHOOSE TO BELIEVE YOU GAVE IT TO ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!
Now let’s get down the business: I fucking loved this book. Yes I cried at the end seeing everyone be together one last time. Yes I actually read and enjoyed the epilogue. Yes the smut was so bomb I highlighted scenes to go back to. I have been waiting forever to figure out Conrad’s deal and story, and this book not only delivered, but it superseded my expectations of what his trauma and relationships would develop like. Two key takeaways from this novel: first, trauma manifests its way in people so differently such as Conrad internalizing and isolating versus Henry’s abilities to externalize and motivate; second, I will claim Conrad as my book personality because there is not too many of his inner monologue and thoughts that I haven’t had myself.
I loved this book because it was sweet. Simply because it was sweet and it was nice to read queer literature where there wasn’t a crazy ex, there wasn’t a weird sexual trauma, there wasn’t the cheating, etc., the relationship and coming out was beautiful. The interfering of Conrad’s trauma within his interactions and daily life were interesting too. I will say that I wasn’t entirely convinced of his therapist’s interventions and styles, as someone studying to be a counselor, but clearly every mental health professional conducts their practices differently, so I digress. The descriptions of therapy, the reworking of the brain, it made sense for Conrad and his journey. Additionally, it made sense for his character—the development wasn’t rushed of him magically curing the trauma within some sessions and happy pills.
Another aspect that I liked was Conrad’s grappling of his sexuality. Unlike usual queer novels, the characters fear the rejection and reactions to their coming out, but Conrad was only worried about his feelings of change, which ultimately tied in the therapy, it was just so well tied up I could’ve weeped. And I loved to see Henry’s character interact with his own traumas of his family’s rejection in relation to Conrad’s closetness. I had wished to get more scenes with Henry’s friend from London, and I felt like he assimilated so quickly to American culture that only randomly did we have his English ass present. I was so happy to see cameos of the other characters in the previous series books, and I think that the abundance of them really cemented that it was Conrad’s only family.
On the more fun side, Rebecca just knows me so well I swear to god!!! Things that made me laugh: Conrad’s inner monologue with the girl hitting on him at the cafe; Henry’s interview with Alex; the goonies movie reference; the insane amounts of gay panic; the Nat. 20 boys interacting with their partners; Annie. I adored the pet names?? The smut was very satisfying and she kinda popped off with the degradation kink. I was NOT prepared for the kiss scene, or the climactic tragedy scene at the end—Rebecca you will pay for your crimes. I fear the ending of this series with this book was the best decision she’s ever made, and I’m so sick about it being over I could die.
I enjoyed this book so much. Normally, it’s not my type of read because of one of the tropes (queer romance) but I decided to take a chance on it since I enjoyed reading the series throughout the time and since I was very curious for Conrad’s story 🥰
I loved Conrad. Since the beginning, he was so complex and mysterious that all I wanted was to read his story and find out more about him. I really enjoyed his growth and the way we got to uncover his facade and find out the true good and sweet guy he is, despite all the grumpiness 🫶🏻
Henry was amazing. He was so sweet, patient, and very happy and I really loved his character and how it affected positively Conrad 🥹
They were a very sweet couple and somehow there was a “slow burn” in this relationship, since they started getting to get to know each other and share their past and traumas, finding comfort and a safe haven in each other 😭
I must say I loved some scenes like the rain/storm scene and the hospital scene where Conrad showed how much he cared for Henry and how attentive to details too
I loved the trope grumpy x sunshine in here and I loved the plot and the British x American characters 🤭
One of my favorite scenes in the book was the therapy sessions that showed how important it is to take them when we need to solve our problems and when we need to find the necessary healing in life. Hanna was incredible 💅🏻 And I really hope that the next book is about her and Miles 😍
Also, I loved how Conrad discovered his sexuality and developed and came to face all his feelings with time and patience, and found the strength to come out and be proud of himself
I enjoyed the new side characters and it was really good to see the previous couples and get an amazing closure to the series 🥹
My only and personal complaint was the dirty talk that sometimes felt too much for me and some nicknames, personally.
It was a very good end to a series and I can say now that this is my favorite book from the series 🥳
Very excited for the upcoming releases 🤪
Thank you to Rebecca Wrights for the opportunity to receive this book as an ARC and in return to give my honest rating and review 🫶🏻

I CAN'T STOP CRYING. HELP. This is my new favourite book, my new comfort read, my most anticipated read of 2025. AAAAAAAAAAA. I loved this so fucking much. Conrad and Henry made me smile, giggle and laugh so much. They also made me cry, BUT I FORGIVE THEM (sort of). I literally can't wait to share my thoughts on this with everyone. I'll be screaming at the top of my lungs how much I love them.
𓂃⋆.ᐟFULL REVIEW!!
I tried to make Conrad and Henry justice with this review but I feel I'll never be able to fully grasp my love for them in order to explain it.
I was soo lucky to arc read this ENTIRE series, and from book 1 I already felt strongly connected to Conrad. He was my grumpy baby and I was constantly thinking about him.
And Henry?? I've never felt this good about being so wrong in my life. Definitely the best "plot twist". I'm completely and utterly obsessed with Henry and their story.
Everything in this book — from the characters to the writing — is absolutely perfect. Henry and Conrad feel natural, meant to be. They're so domestic and comforting. Every-damn-time they called each other by their nicknames, I found myself smiling and giggling and shit (which is kind of embarrassing when you think about it).
Diving a bit into the characters: CONRAD. My baby, my love, I'll protect him with my life. He struggled so much all throughout the book to come to terms with his sexual orientation and it broke my heart a bit, but then he was LIVING for the first time. He embraced love and himself, even if just a tiny bit, and I cried real tears. He became confident, HAPPY (so annoying, right?), and SMILY. He smiled so much.🥹 HENRY. He is the literal SUN, and I bet everything that Connie would agree with me. The way he views life had me rethinking my whole philosophy. He went through so much to be here, alive, but he never gave up the fight and is now living his best life. (I know they're fictional characters but THEY'RE REAL TO ME) He's so understanding, and even if it hurts him a bit, he still supported Conrad's decision — which, fair, obviously.
Annie, my girl, is the cutest thing ever!! She really made them a family. Alex and Hanna: I loved them. They're literally so funny and absolutely right 100% of the time.
This book was absolutely worth the wait and I don't think I'll ever be able to move on from them. I laughed (Conrad is so damn funny), I cried, I smiled like a lunatic, and I cried a bit more violently.
It's the absolute perfect book, and everyone should read it.
Rebecca, thank you so so much for letting me be part of this series's journey. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but: ᯓMy definitive ranking of the Nat. 20 Series: ˖⊹ ࣪ TRUE SIGHT!! ˖⊹ ࣪ Mending Me (me babies, I miss them) ˖⊹ ࣪ Desperate Haste ˖⊹ ࣪ Divine Sense
Definitely not the last time you hear me talking about this book, but still hurts a little to say goodbye to them.🫶🏻
The Nat. 20 series so far as been IMMACULATE and I could have not LOVED it any more than what I already do! However, the way that we ARE FINALLY getting Conrad’s story?! UGH. This without even reading it PUT ME IN SHAMBLES for what’s to come and OH MY GOD! After reading it, I AM JUST A PUDDLE ON THE DAMN FUCKING FLOOR.
Conrad has been the grumpy and closed off one in the group for the ENTIRETY of this series. But being able to see more of who he his (in multiple ways *wink*) and for him to be able to have his happily ever after just makes MY HEART WARM. For what this man has been through, not to mention what he went through to discover who he really is and his happiness, THIS MAN NEEDS MORE HUGS than he will put up with. Of course, however, I’m sure that he’ll be more than happy to let it pass if those hugs are from his sunshine himself; Henry. OH MY FUCKING GOD. HENRY! I LOVED EVERY. SINGLE. THING. about this man and I ADORE HIM. He LITERALLY is a ray of fucking sunshine, and I need a friend like him IMMEDIATELY. He one hundred percent needs some cuddles too, and I’m glad that he was able to find the people in his life that loved him for who he is because COME ON. HE. IS. AMAZING!
It was such a wonderful experience to be able to have more of an in depth look into someone who is for one, going to therapy but also discovering themselves when it is outside of the normality. I believe Rebecca wrote this really well in terms of what can happen and how scary it can be when you realise that you may be a little bit different from everyone else and that’s okay. Not to mention, I was DEFINITELY going through all of the emotions at the same time with Conrad and I couldn’t have been happier for him and Henry; and let’s not forget Annie girl (she’s so cute, I LOVE HER!) to be able to have their own little bubble of happiness.
I couldn’t write this review without mentioning that it was such a wonderful thing to be able to see ALL of the other characters again and not to mention having THAT ending. I have been DYING for that to happen THROUGHOUT THIS ENTIRE SERIES and for the fact that it happened at the end of THIS BOOK. I. DIED. DEAD. I LOVED EVERYTHING and more about this book and this series, and I can’t wait to see what is instore next from Rebecca! <3
Wow just wow. So I received this book as an ARC and wasn’t sure if I was going to read it just because I hadn’t read the rest of the series and I’m one of those people who like read things in order even if they can be read as standalones.
Lets just say I’m so happy I decided to read True Sight, this is my first Rebecca Wright book but it won’t be my last seeing as now I have to read the rest of the NAT. 20 series. Ok now for the actual review this book was sweet and gave me all the feels. Henry and Conrad were absolute perfection together and watching their love unfold was so beautiful.
I loved that we went on a journey basically of someone who was so scared to let people in because they were scared of losing them, to them finding their true self in the last person they could have ever imagined.
Conrad is your typical grumpy MMC he has a hard exterior and really just keeps to himself. The only people close to him are his best friends who he’s grown up with. But when realizes that his friends have all found their person and how things are changing drives him to start therapy(which we love a man who goes to figure out his sh*t)because last time things changed he lost his parents and grandmother.
Here comes Henry your literal ray of sunshine who just moved to SC from England to open up his own gym. He reaches out to Conrad to work on the tech side of things for his new studio and instantly falls for the grump.
Watching Conrad come into his sexuality and shed all his walls for Henry was done to perfection. And the patience Henry had with him while he navigated his feelings and coming to terms with who he is chefs kiss. Loved every bit of this story just wanted a little more at the end.
My favourite of the series!! This was so so good and so perfect as the last book of the series.
I don’t know what it is about Henry and Conrad, or their story, but they just scream soulmate to me. And the way their love just makes my heart melt into a puddle. The two of them were just so sweet, so soft and so cute. I was giggling and grinning from ear to ear while reading this book.
Conrad, while grumpy, was such a softy for his man and Annie girl. I loved watching him soften up for his people, learn to be brave for Henry and learn to let go sometimes, let things happen the way they’re supposed to. I really enjoyed getting to watch his growth and character development throughout the book. AND HIS GIFT!! OMG. That alone had me melting on the spot.
And then there’s Henry, my sunshine king!! This man really is just the sweetest. The entire book, he was so patient, and so understanding of Conrad. And always so positive, encouraging and supportive. “I’ll teach you how to be scared and brave all at the same time.” I mean come on 😭 I simply love him and his character so much.
Other than how perfect Henry and Conrad were, the way this last book wrapped up the series was so well written and makes me miss them even more. The full circle moment, them being one big family, and the nat twenty 🥹 they are one of the best found family I’ve ever read, and I’ll definitely miss them now that the series is complete 😔
Overall, True Sight was a 4.5 stars read for me and I had the absolute best time with Henry and Conrad, the sweetest grumpy and sunshine, and with the rest of the Nat. 20 family. I can’t believe this is goodbye 😭
Thank you so so much Rebecca for the arc and for writing such a beautiful series 🥹
I simply can't believe this saga is over, what? 😭😭 Rebecca managed to surprise us with the couple, because we were all expecting one thing, and she delivered something MUCH better. Conrad is, in most of his thoughts, the character I identify with the most: grumpy, hates delays, hates people, hates excessive happiness. He's me, I'm him. However, obviously, his relationship will be with someone who's completely sunshine-vibes (Henry manages to be a mix of Bailey and Ophelia 🤭). It's beautiful to see Conrad discovering and finding himself, as well as overcoming his traumas with the help of the people he surrounds himself with. And who would have thought there's so much dirty talk in this book, and that our Connie boy is more of a dom? 🔥🔥 It was the best ending this found family could have, and I'm so happy to have met each of these characters.
This book was my first adventure into the world of Rebecca Wrights. I enjoyed a lot about this novel, specifically the adherence to the grumpy/sunshine trope. Both Henry and Conrad were cutesy, dynamic, and interesting characters filled with complex emotions. The spice was not like dark romance level but it played slightly into some fun spicy action. I also loved the minor characters in this novel.
Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.75/5 So… this was my first ever ARC and honestly, what a way to start! 🥹 I’ve also never read a queer romance before, and now I can officially say: I LOVED IT. . True Sight is the last book in the series, and it gave me everything I didn’t even know I was hoping for.
It follows Conrad and Henry. Conrad is a grumpy guy who hates people and has a group of dysfunctional friends whom he calls family and Henry, on the other hand, is pure sunshine. He’s fun-loving, warm, and endlessly patient. He’s just moved from London to Charleston to open his own dance fitness studio with the help of his gran’s trust, after making a name for himself through online classes. . From the moment they collided i was hooked with their dynamic. I loved to see the sweet little things Conrad did despite his grumpiness and Henry’s patience and kindness that gave Conrad the space he needed to discover his feelings and his sexuality at his own pace, and it was written with such tenderness that I couldn’t stop smiling. Their relationship felt real and so full of heart. . Something I LOVED the most were the therapy sessions Conrad went to.The Wednesday nights he spent with his friends. And the hospital scene. 😭🤌🏻
Rebecca wrapped up this series in the most beautiful way. True Sight is more than a romance—it’s a story about self-discovery, healing, love, and finding your people. It’s about being seen for who you are, fully and completely, and realizing that sometimes family is the one you build for yourself.
And now, like every other reader of this series, I’m begging the universe for Hanna and Miles’ story next. Rebecca, if you’re reading this… please. 🙏😭
Also one more thing that insta didn't allow me to type but This book will always feel special to me because it was my first ARC and also the story that gently introduced me to queer romance. It was sweet, a little spicy, and so beautifully written that I know I’ll always remember it as the perfect beginning.
Officially my favorite book in the series! Can totally be read as a standalone too.
I love Conrad's character growth throughout the book, and I knew from Book 1 that his book was going to be amazing!
Henry is such a fun character and balances Conrad's grumpy personality perfectly. I'm so glad this was written with dual POVs because Henry's chapters were such a joy to read.
I really enjoyed all the therapy scenes in the book - even though they are very serious, I had the most fun reading those scenes because I felt like we got to learn the most about Conrad in them, and he hasn't had a lot of screen (page?) time in the rest of the series
Rebecca always makes me fall in love with the side characters, and True Sight is no exception, because now I'm super excited for a book that may or may not exist with some side characters who we only see a few times!
Thank you to the author for an ARC copy. I read this book so fast cause I couldn't put it down.
I beta read this back in spring and I was so excited to have the chance to read again and it even better this second time around. Conrad and Henry are too sweet for words and I just loved everything about them. They were the perfect ending to this series even though I’m so sad to see it go.
Normally not a huge fan of grumpy / sunshine but this was done so well. Henry was exactly what Conrad needed even though he wasn’t looking. And I love the way Conrad found himself and got over the confusion of all his feelings for Henry and just accepted it. Henry fits it perfectly with this fam and I’m so happy everyone found their happy ending after all the traumas they’ve endured.
I’m so sad it’s over 😭 these nat. 20 boys became a huge piece of my heart and I’ll never get over them.
- mm romance - grumpy / sunshine - software engineer x fitness instructor - friends to lovers - men in therapy - found family

- beta read -
Not leaving an official review because I’m still sworn to secrecy on most details, but Connie baby has my heart!! Another banger from RW and I’m so excited to share more later on.
• 0–15%: What am I doing to myself? Why am I reading this? Why is this written like this?
• 15–40%: Okay… I guess I can get through it. Not great, but fine.
• 40–80%: The relationship is kind of working for me, but what is going on with this dirty talk and the sex? Why does this feel so uncomfortable and cringey?
• 80–95%: I am so close to DNFing this. Like, painfully close.
• 95–100%: I mean… I finished it. So there’s that.
I really wanted to like True Sight. The premise had potential, and there are moments where the story genuinely works, but overall this was a difficult and often frustrating read for me.
One thing I genuinely appreciated was Conrad choosing to go to therapy on his own. He recognizes that his behavior is not sustainable and that he is pushing people away, and that kind of self-awareness is refreshing. I also liked that therapy is a recurring element in the story instead of a one-time fix. Moments like Conrad going to Henry’s house during the storm, remembering Henry’s fear and showing up for him, felt like real character growth and showed what this book could have been.
That said, the handling of therapy and medication is one of the book’s weakest points. Medication is introduced in an extremely unrealistic way: a prescription is written almost casually, with no proper intake, no gradual build-up, no meaningful follow-up, and no discussion of side effects. Both Conrad’s and Henry’s medication are mentioned once and then essentially forgotten. The nightmares, which are the main reason Conrad seeks therapy in the first place, are brought up repeatedly throughout the book, yet are barely explored during the therapy sessions themselves. For something that is supposedly central to his healing, this lack of depth makes the entire mental health arc feel superficial and poorly researched.
The writing also struggles with pacing and structure. The beginning is hard to get into due to excessive and unnecessary description. Important moments are buried under details that add nothing to the emotional impact and often pull you out of the scene. While the middle of the book is more readable, the timeline of the relationship never feels quite right. We are told weeks and months pass, but many of those weeks are skipped or happen off-page, making the emotional progression feel rushed and incomplete. There simply are not enough meaningful, on-page interactions to support how quickly the relationship deepens.
The romance itself did not convince me. Attraction makes sense, but the emotional leap to love does not, especially given Conrad’s personality. His development feels abrupt rather than gradual, and too often his “grumpiness” is used as an excuse for him being genuinely an a-hole. He says and does things that are deeply insensitive toward someone he supposedly cares about, without enough reflection or consequence. Henry is just supposes to take and be understanding which is very unfair.
The portrayal of gay intimacy is another major issue. As someone who is not even gay, it was immediately obvious to me that there was little to no research done here. The sex scenes lack realism, particularly when it comes to preparation and communication. While explicit details are not necessary, some acknowledgment of how gay intimacy actually works is important. In this book, there is no preparation at all, not even the most basic kind, and the result feels careless rather than romantic. Combined with the sudden shift from sexual inexperience to confident dirty talk, it makes the smut feel forced, cringeworthy, and inconsistent with the characters. Don’t even get me started about how cringe the dirty talk was, because ugh…
Other elements suffer from the same lack of realism. Conrad’s lifestyle does not match how his body is described. The dog feels more like a prop than a meaningful part of his growth. Henry’s move from London to Charleston is never properly explained and feels random and plot-driven rather than organic. Even the cultural details often feel stereotypical rather than researched.
In the end, True Sight is not a terrible book, but it was a near-DNF for me more than once. It has good ideas and a few genuinely strong moments, but they are buried under rushed development, weak research, and excessive description. For me, this was a 2.5-star read 📚
We've all been waiting for Conrad's book and I can say it did not disappoint, I loved it. From growing from the trauma of losing his parents young to then losing his grandma who was his only other family besides his three best friends. Seeing his friends growing and moving within their own lives he finally decides to start going to therapy, reluctantly if I may add. He didn't want to open up but with the help of his therapist, a sunshine client, and an adorable dog that he may not have wanted in the beginning he slowly learns that great things come in unexpected ways.
Henry relocated to Charleston from the UK to follow his and his gran's dream of him opening his own dance fitness studio. One of the first things he does is hire Conrad, our grumpy software engineer, to build his app and website for his business to work worldwide with his new and old clients. What starts as an accidental run in with a grump slowly grows into friendship and then more.
Both Henry and Conrad have been through some tough times in their lives and may not want to open those wounds to others, but slowly learn there are people who see you and if you let them they can help make your life better.
This is a series I will always recommend when I can. I loved this series and seeing each member of their little family find their person and fall in love. The growth from each character was well written and each one of them found the right person for them.
We knew Conrad was the grumpy friend of the group and it was fun to see him get his sunshine partner in Henry.
Annie was so sweet and loveable, seeing how he treated her even when he tried to make it seem in the beginning that he didn't want a dog. You could see that he cared about her and that she was good for him.
Seeing Conrad go through the process of realizing he's into men and not women as his relationship with Henry progressed was sweet and at times frustrating. You could see the moments he wanted to tell his people about his person but wasn't ready and didn't know how to open up about it at that point. When Henry confessed and left him shocked it was heartbreaking for Henry but after talking to Alex and realizing that he may have shocked Conrad and he was still processing. He decided to give it 48 hours before reaching out and talking about what happened.
However they don't get to have the meetup's they each thought they were going to have due to Henry being in a car accident, when you get to Conrad listening to Alex's and Ellie's voicemails about the accident you could feel the heartache and emotions he was going through. When he went to visit Henry in the hospital he didn't know if he was going to lose the person he loves like he did his parents.
Seeing him run out of the hospital and go to Hanna you know that even though he was reluctant at first he has grown to feel safe with her and was able to get through some of the emotions he was feeling to go back to Henry in the hospital.
His friends are at his apartment waiting on him and there for him even though they don't know the full situation. You know they are a family and always there for each other. Being there ready to meet him after he wakes up and making him a part of their family.
With the ending seeing the group finally all together with their partners and playing D&D, that ending was a sweet finish to the game we've been watching this group play for the last 2 years and excited it finally happened.
I just want to thank Rebecca again for being a part of her ARC team and getting to read these books, I'm sad to see the end of this series but can't wait to see what's coming next.

ALL the stars seriously, 15 out of 5 The very best spice
What to Expect: Grumpy x Sunshine He Falls First Friends to Lovers Men in Therapy Rep Found Family Fitness Instructor x Software Engineer Hot Nerds Playing D&D Spicy Texting
I am left in all my feels that this journey has come to an end…I can’t believe that this series is over, but WHAT a way to end it! I seriously loved every single couple and with each book I had a new favorite couple.
How am I supposed to move on without D&D Wednesdays? It’s just not right… In all seriousness, Rebecca wrote a brilliant series filled with so much love, loss, damage, healing, loyalty, and the most incredible found family I have ever read. These dynamic characters took us along through their struggles, self-discovery, healing, and our favorite part, falling in love and finding their person when they weren’t even looking for one. She gave us the perfect balance of emotion, hilarious banter, sizzling spice, and a warm sincerity that leaves you so beyond satisfied with these characters.
The way I was craving Conrad’s book before reading it and thinking it was going to go one way and then seeing it go in a completely different direction in the very best way possible was the BEST. Our boy Conrad has been grumpy, extremely private, and closed off to all aside from his core group, but the way we get to see him open up in this book made me so proud of him. The sweet side of Connie is SO INCREDIBLE. Seeing what he has been though and then watching him discover who he is and what he wants in life was good for the soul. One of my favorite parts of the book was watching Conrad opening up for his sweet “Annie girl” and really embracing being a dog dad and getting to see that nurturing side of him that he then brings into his relationship with Henry. So, see Conrad… Hanna was right after all.
And then there is Henry, our “Sweets”, he is everything single thing that we wanted for Conrad. I mean I already loved a brit, but Rebecca DELIVERED on Henry. He is the one hundred percent yellow, everything about him. He’s bright, motivating, silly, incredibly kind, thoughtful, and so lovingly patient with Conrad. He’s the character you wish was real because you want to be friends with him IRL. Their love story was perfect, and while I so thought Conrad interests were going to go in another direction before going into the book (yes, I was one of those *emoji*) I could not have picked a better person or love story for our boy Conrad. Thank you Rebecca, you were right after all. LOL.
This series wrecked me in all of the very best ways, and I am so sad to see it end, BUT I cannot wait for what is to come from Rebecca in the future. I know it will suck me in just as much as this found family did.
So long, Nat. 20 family, “I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you” (I had too) and I cannot wait to reread you again and again.
*Thank you so much to Rebecca Wrights for providing me with an E-ARC of this book. Also, check content on warnings before reading.
Omg! We finally have Connie baby’s book! Yay! With Conrad being the one whose story has been highly anticipated and the end of the Nat 20 series coming to an end, there was a lot of excitement about this book. The surprise of this book was finding out it was a…MM ROMANCE! A Queer romance! Conrad finding love with the most sunshine of people that he may have taken the mantle of sunshine, Henry. Rebecca Wrights took the time to illustrate Conrad and Henry’s story which was nice and thoughtful.
Alas, we have reached the end of this series, (sniff) it was bittersweet having finished this book, but it was a good way to round out the series. Over the course of this series, I have seen Hank, Kolbi, Malcom, and finally Conrad not only find love, but also work through their own struggles and grow as individuals.
For Conrad, his story was a mix of things from the trauma he experienced over the loss of his parents, and his grandmother, and later coming to terms with his sexuality. Conrad was always seen as the grumpy, grouch of the group, but seeing him open up and actually enjoying himself alongside Henry was such a ray of lightness that I enjoyed so much. I think getting to dig deeper into Conrad’s story allowed me to see why he acted the way he was, as well as seeing him form such a loving and endearing relationship with Henry was equal parts sweet and caring. Conrad’s journey with coming to the realization over his sexuality was eye opening, and I’m just happy that he was happy with finally being open and being his true self. This was my first ever MM romance, and I think it was really good.
I don’t know what else to say other than, Connie got his happily ever after and Henry was such a sweetie! Yes there was some emotional moments in this story that will tug on your heartstrings, but just now that Conrad and Henry get their happy ending together. Over the course of this book, I got to see Conrad show different sides to himself that I haven’t seen from him before, the little subtle details that Henry and Conrad did with each other that was SO FREAKING ROMANTIC AND LOVING! I don’t want to spoil it for you, but there is a really sentimental thing that Henry does with Conrad that just made me go “AWWW”. This book had a little bit of everything that Rebecca always makes a good book with that emotional connection/ moments, romantic gestures that are subtle but meaningful, lighthearted joy, humor, and spice that I wasn’t expecting to be so hot! Needless to say, I’m glad I got to read Conrad’s story with Henry, and I got to read my first ever MM romance.
How am I doing, you ask? Well, I’m currently in denial that this book is over & the series is done. Call me dramatic, but let me grieve in peace because I am not okay. Someone please explain how I’m supposed to just… move on with life now?
Rebecca once again worked her magic giving us a story brimming with heart, hope, healing, & love in all its messy, beautiful forms. It’s a journey of self-discovery and found family, of overcoming trauma, & learning to be unapologetically yourself. She gave us that perfect mix of emotion, spice, & warmth; the kind of balance that leaves your soul sated & your heart soaring on cloud nine.
The characters were written with such care that they felt real, their growth so rewarding to witness. Each carried their own distinct trauma & watching how it shaped them, yet didn’t define them, was powerful. There’s Conrad. My grumpy, control-obsessed, quietly sad, change-averse, left-behind fearing Conrad. He had me from the start. And who knew the answer to his guarded heart was just one head bump away? Enter Henry: loud, bubbly, vibrant, sunshine in human form, with enough energy to light up a whole room. The yin to Conrad’s yang. How could two people who are so different be so right for one another. Truly, I just wanted to wrap both in the biggest group hug imaginable.
Their relationship was crafted so beautifully; starting as friends, building trust, being patient & understanding with one another, creating a safe isolated bubble where they could just be. The emotional connection, the playful teasing, the sizzling chemistry, the hesitation & tiptoeing, the messiness of real life, it all rang true. Add in meaningful romantic gestures, Annie, & the thoughtful inclusion of therapy, & Rebecca gave us a love story that tugged at every single heartstring. And then that ending… bittersweet perfection that left me smiling through my tears.
Needless to say, Rebecca delivered another absolute slay. I closed this book wrecked, full, & already counting down until the next. Farewell my Nat.20 family, but know I’ll be loitering in your fictional world forever.
Thank you Rebecca for providing me with an ARC of this story.
There are endearing grumps who are quiet and generally cranky and then there's Conrad who's an asshole. Then there's Henry who pretends like Conrad isn't being an ass and lashing out at him all the time and is constantly quipping and winking.
But what really pissed me off is Henry going to his best friend's wedding and Conrad telling him to remember "who's slut" he is and then Conrad is at his friends party pretending to be in love with his friend,Margaret and they kiss and proclaim their love to each other to seal the deal in front of their friends. (Because he doesn't want his friends to know he's gay and seeing a man ) DOES HE TELL HENRY ABOUT IT? NO. Henry is back and they're continuing about their life with Henry being hidden away from Conrad's friend group and then of course we get Henry telling Conrad he loves him and Conrad who still hasnt really developed much since the start of the story, tells him he doesn't think he has anything to say in response, Henry leaves upset and Conrad THINKS about reaching out but obviously Henry isn't important enough to actually do it. OF COURSE HENRY GETS INTO AN ACCIDENT AND CONRAD SHOWS UP TO THE HOSPITAL TO PROCLAIM HIS LOVE.
Get out of here with that crap. 😒 Honestly, it was already awful from the beginning. Conrad is horrible and Henry is too pushy. Their 'dirty talk' was cringe but I might've already been checked out at that point.
The ONLY time I thought the story was going to improve was when Conrad showed up to support Henry through his fear of storms but unfortunately that was the only decent part of this story and everything else I hope I erase from my memory.
I take full blame for continuing when I wasn't enjoying it but I didn't expect Conrad and his friend to kiss and Henry be completely oblivious to it and then end up in a hospital to get Conrad to realize his feelings.

Your Honor, I LOVE THEM!!!! That's it, tha't's my review! In all seriousness, I absolutely love them. I fell head over heals for Conrad and Henry's story and I believe Rebecca saved the best for last! Because everything about this book is perfection . The MMC, the tropes, the lenght of the book, the friend group, it was all hands down PERFCTION! I enjoyed every part of reading this book. We have been getting grumpy anti-relationship and punctual Conrad throughout the entirety of the NAT 20 series and seeing him fall in love with a Henry, who is sunshine personified, was the best thing ever! He was literally the sunshine to his stormy cloud!
I don’t want to say too much because I fear I might spoil this amazing story! But throughout this book we get to really know Conrad and finally understand why he acts the way he does in the previous books. He has gone through so much in life which has lead to his grumpiness and outlook on life. But as he starts seeking help, he begins to let more people in and really find himself and navigate his sexual identity. Throughout his self-healing, he meets Henry who has just moved from abroad and is helping him create the website for his studio. And the more time they spend together to more you feel the tension and fireworks build around them. Henry is such a strong and inspiring character. He hasn’t had it easy but is open about his mental health and how he has learned to manage and maintain it. Our sunshine boy has also suffered a similar loss to Conrad which just makes me want to hug them both extra hard.
And we can’t forget about the main star of the show, Annie! Conrad adopts Annie Girl and once she’s is home with him he tries to not fall for her sweet face, but ultimately does and becomes such a good dog daddy! So please go read and give these two all the love they deserve!

***ARC REVIEW***
Rebecca Wrights has done it again y'all! Had me crying, laughing, and wanting twenty more epilogues. The book follows Conrad's journey of love, self-discovery, and self-forgiveness. Who knew that the grumpiest of the Nat 20 crew would be the squishiest of them all? (feels Conrad's side eye break the fourth wall)......Anyway.....Conrad and Henry are absolutely diabetically sweet together. Most importantly, they balance each other incredibly well. Wrights composed their banter splendidly. When I tell y'all I was giggling and twirling the adjustable string at the end of my bonnet!!!!I fell in love with these characters pretty quickly. My favorite part: Henry never let Conrad feel anything less than adored. For a grump with more walls than Germany in 1985 and China, Conrad hides his tender heart through self-depricating humor. Henry, like the beautifully chaotic bulldozer that he is, sees right through the stony exterior and makes Conrad whole. They embody what it means to be seen by the person who understands you most. They are both perfect for each other, and they heal one another.
I don’t even know how to begin to show my love for this book. I’ve been waiting and wanting Conrad’s book since Mending Me. I was like, I love him, he’s grumpy, and I love him. I was lucky enough to beta read this months ago, and now having ARC read it again, I STILL LOVE HIM. Even though he clearly will never love me like I do him 😉 his story is perfect for him!
Conrad is the last of his friend group without a partner, and he hates change. He thinks he’s gonna get left behind, and he’s already suffered some devastating losses in his life. Enter Henry!!! The sunshine to his grump. From just a client, to friends, to questions and feelings, they lean on each other and find themselves wanting more with each other. Henry was so patient with Conrad, in letting him explore these new feelings in his own time and way. Even when Conrad had his moments , Henry was there! And with any Rebecca Wrights book, the emotions she throws at you are top tier! But Henry likes to rile him up too. Their banter in the beginning by was good. Conrad didn’t know how to react to him and I loved it!
Now, the spice! My lord! Conrad Miller shocked the heck out of me! SO HOT! Absolutely loved them together! Read if you like the good boy and daddy vibes! 🥵
Of course, the Friend group, their texts, and game night are as epic as ever. They are so funny! I also loved the relationship between Conrad and Hanna , his therapist. Their banter is great! Henry and Alex were also a great duo!
Thank you to Rebecca Wrights for letting me beta and ARC read for you! I’ve absolutely loved this series and I’m so sad to see it end!
Oh boy! Where do I even start?? I found this series in April and became obsessed with it probably within the first chapter. All the feels I’ve experienced throughout this series was a rollercoaster of emotions the happy and the heartbreaking. When I tell you I’ve never cried over a book cover and release in my life and when Rebecca released what Conrad’s book was gonna be and who his love interest was, I cried, because the story was coming to an end and because I was going to get to see Conrad have his happily ever after and boy did she execute it perfectly! Henry is the perfect amount of happy and high energy for our lonely and grumpy Conrad. Getting to watch (and yes I mean watch because everyone of these books unfold like a movie to me) Conrad find himself and break down his barriers was truly the most heartwarming thing to experience! Obviously this is a five start read for me!
I encourage everyone to read this series asap!!
5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Why don’t you just call me Henry then?” “Just Henry?” “Just Henry,” he repeats. “My Henry,” I try to whisper to myself but he gasps when he hears me and leans over to kiss me on the cheek. “I like that one the best.”
“Don’t push your luck, sweets,” he calls out before slamming the door. My eyebrows meet in the center of my face as I wait for him to get in next to me. Annie is lying down in the backseat, successfully worn out. “Sweets?” I ask once he’s in the driver’s seat and fastening his seatbelt. “Henry Baker? Baker, sweets? Get it?” He looks at me as if I should have caught on sooner. “It just felt right, especially for someone like you.”
Conrad and Henry!!! 😭🫶 I just absolutely adore them!
I first read True Sight as a beta reader and I immediately loved their story! And having read their story again as an arc reader, I just needed through it and fell in love with them all over again 🥹🫶
Having read the previous books in the Nat. 20 series, we all suspected that our Connie would be with Margaret, but Rebecca gave us a surprise and introduced us to our gold3n retriever Brit from across the pond Henry! 🥰
I, like many readers were surprised but we all LOVE him!!! And Henry is exactly what Conrad needs 🥹
Their story is absolutely beautiful and the way they're there for each other is just... no words. I love it! I love them!!
We get more convos with the guys and more D&D nights 🙌and loving and tender ❤️and SPICY 🥵 moments.
And let's not forget our sweet girl Annie!!! She's Conrad's dog that he adopted and she's just so cute! And well behaved and loving and she sure loves Henry!!! Because not liking Henry would be an absolute crime!! 🥺
You guys have got to read this! Especially since it's the last book in the series!
I'm still devastated to know that we won't get any more of the guys and gals but this beautiful world that Rebecca created is just full of joy, love and healing 🫶 and at times heart breaking moments 😭 (and SPICE🥵🤭)
All in all, thank you Rebecca for giving me the chance to have read for you again and I can't wait to have Conrad and Henry's book along with the others! 🥰
Conrad Miller has been perfectly fine being the group grump. That is, until each of his friends fall in love and suddenly the thought of them moving on without him starts to become more and more real. When the cute, British fitness instructor emails him for help on a project, he reluctantly says yes to the job. But things, including Conrad’s persistence for grumpiness, start to change once he meets Henry Baker.
I can’t believe we’re at the end of the series already, I’ve been so lucky to receive an ARC for every book of the series and I swear they just keep getting better and better!
The build up of tension in this had me gripping my kindle! True Sight is spicy romance book with lots of heart, heat, and healing and some kisses in the rain that had me kicking my feet! Rebecca has absolutely nailed it with this one!❤️

I absolutely loved this book! True Sight was the perfect conclusion to the series, and I couldn’t have asked for a better send-off. What really stood out to me was how beautifully Rebecca centered the story on Conrad and Henry’s relationship. Watching their connection develop from tentative steps into something so strong and heartfelt was incredibly rewarding. This was such a well-written MM romance—tender, emotional, and full of moments that made me smile.
Conrad’s growth was a highlight for me. His journey of self-discovery, figuring out his feelings, and learning how to be open with Henry felt so authentic. I really appreciated how the story allowed him the space to come to terms with who he is while also showing his vulnerabilities. Henry, on the other hand, completely stole my heart. The patience, understanding, and quiet strength he brought to their relationship made him one of my favorite love interests I’ve read in a while. Their dynamic was supportive, honest, and at times a little messy—just like real love.
Another thing I loved was how Rebecca balanced the romance with touches of humor and group moments, giving us glimpses of the wider cast while still keeping the focus on the couple. It felt like a true wrap-up, while also letting Conrad shine in the spotlight he deserved.
Overall, True Sight is heartfelt, emotional, and beautifully romantic. I closed the book feeling both satisfied and a little sad to say goodbye to these characters.
A huge thank you to Rebecca Wrights and her team for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
First of all,I can't believe this series is finished and My heart is breaking right now to know that all the boys have found the one 😭🥺🥺💝💝
I finally got to read Conrad story and Woww, Conrad, how my heart aches for him, a man so gaurded 🥺, carrying walls like armour unsure of what life truly has to offer him 😔 😔 His life needed healing -- which made him go to therapy and it wasn't easy for him to open up to a stranger and open up about his life 🥺 🥺
He fought for himself quietly and that bravery speaks volumes
Then came Henry. He was a ball of sunshine and he wasnt afraid to live life💝💝
He didn't just love Conrad, he showed him how to live -- be messy, be unapologetically real..
Henry wasnt afraid to fight for the two of them
Conrad needed a henry in life, to show him to him being happy is important 💝💝
This isn't just a love story. This also about finding family in your choosen brothers, friends who stay when the world gets heavy.... The loyalty they had for each other, where they were filling to fight and the support, the one where they say -- We got you Brother.. 😭 😭
I dream and hope for that 💝💝
Rebecca Wrights gave us a story that feels like hope. For anyone who’s ever felt lost, for anyone learning to love themselves before loving someone else—this book is a hug you didn’t know you needed.
Thank you so much Rebecca and I so blame you for making my heart break 💔💔😭😭!!!
Conrad and Henry are pure perfection. What a way to end a series. I cannot believe that this series has come to an end, but nothing like saving the best for last (IMO).
Getting Conrad's story made me realize just how much I didn't know about him. In other interconnected novels, authors allow us to get to know upcoming characters in current books, and I feel like for the most part Rebecca did that with Kolbi and Malcolm. But Conrad she kept close to the vest, which connects directly to who he is as a character. For 3 books we only knew Conrad as this grumpy, rule-following hot nerd. He loved and only tolerated his friends who were alos his family and was not a fan of change but getting to read the first account of Conrad and why he was the way he was was such an experience, one I wish I could read for the first time again.
IMO, I think that this novel provides the best character development. Conrad was written perfectly. Everything about him screamed of authenticity and believability. The way in which he deals with his trauma, his reluctance to change, and his fears was visceral and had me in all my feels.
Henry, he was pure sunshine and the perfect pairing for our Grump. I loved the openness of him. His energy and outlook lifted off the page; I couldn't help but smile at my kindle like a loon when he spoke.
In all honesty, I wasn't sure who I expected Conrad to end up with; I assumed, based on past novels, that the pairing would be MF, but for me Conrad always gave me a "my person will be my person, whoever that is" vibe, so to say that I was surprised that this was going to be MM, not at all. Love is love and their love story is one for the ages. The developement of this relationship was ohh so slow, but oh so worth every moment. Their relationship went through all the stages to get to were it finally ends up, but each stage was necessary for Conrad's growth.
While I am said to see this series end, I know that Rebecca will be back with more stories that will have be all in my feels!
Where do I even begin?! I’ve been honored to read all of Rebecca’s books as ARCS, and the second I started reading the first book in this series, I was chomping at the bit to get to Conrad’s story. I knew there was going to be incredible depth with him from the start.
And boyyyy was I right! There were so many themes touched on in this book that led to the best character development for Conrad. So many times I wanted to reach into his book and just give him a big hug. His trauma ran deep, but he handled things in such a healthy way and I loved how Rebecca shared those parts of him so beautifully.
Now let’s talk about Henry. Even through his own share of trauma, he was this bright, wonderful ray of sunshine that everyone needs in their life, and who Conrad never knew he needed. I adored watching their relationship bloom. This was admittedly my first MM romance book so it was a new reading experience for me, but I lovedddd Conrad and Henry together and watching Conrad navigate new and exciting feelings in his life to become who he is in the end. The only thing I didn’t connect with (and this is just my opinion) is there is use of consensual degradation, and it always takes me out of the moment. But again, that’s just my personal opinion, and it didn’t change how much I love Conrad and Henry together!
Rebecca rounded out this series perfectly, I felt like I was in the room celebrating with all of the characters at the end. Can’t wait for what’s next from her!
this was amazing. i could not put it away. this book took me less than 24 hours and its been a while since i could finish a book this size this fast. she has a way with her words that just attaches me to the book and keeps me reading. rebecca put everything in there again. the love, the softness, conrads grumpiness, sadness, just all the emotions. and I already miss all the characters.
i was put through EVERYTHING, but you know what? i loved it, as i thought i would.
i was so happy that conrad finally found his person and is doing better than ever. but still i wanna give him the biggest hug, because i think he might need it. i loved reading about him so much, just to understand him even better and the get into his head, because he has been like a mystery the last 3 books. i think his might be my favorite truly.
henry is such a sunshine and so perfect for conrad in so many ways. he just the sweetest ever, such a golden retriever and i love it. how he is there for conrad and just how supportive he is. loved him from the beginning immediately.
these two are so perfect for each other and always bring the best out of the other person which i love to see.
i wanna write more but i would spoil way to much. so you have to read it for yourself when it comes out september 5th!
