Harper Davenport found it ironic that her daughter built one church up from the ashes, while single-handedly burning the other to the ground. After spending her life creating an identity in ministry, Harper finds herself alone with no family, friends, or money to fuel her lavish lifestyle. Following a cascade of disasters, she ends up at the last place on earth she wants to be.
Amidst the pressures of the ranch business and the excitement of being a newlywed, Maeve is thrown into the middle of family conflict once again. Knowing Oakleigh’s growing faith is being put to the fire, Maeve is forced to navigate how to model love and grace while keeping her boundaries high.
When faced with the consequences of her actions, will Harper accept what she can never seem to earn?
It's insane how invested I became in a character I've hated through the first 2 books of this series...yet here we are. I became completely engrossed in Harper Davenport. Amy did an incredible job showing Harper's past so we can see the disaster of parents that shaped her into the rude, prideful, absolutely terrible person she became. We learn why she treated Oakleigh and her sisters the way she did. It was a generational curse. A curse that only Maeve escaped from and doomed Oakleigh and her sisters to.
But God. God was there the whole time just waiting for Harper to lift her heart in prayer and reach out to Him. Maeve was so graceful in how she handled Harper and showed Jesus to Harper when she least deserved it. Oakleigh did her best and still showed so much growth from where we meet her in Boundless.
Everything about these characters is authentic and real. You don't read these books and think "that's not how someone would actually handle that." You think, "Wow...this is exactly how I'd probably handle it." These books are so raw. So real. Almost as if you're sitting with a friend over coffee who's telling you about drama in their family and you're sitting there sending up prayers of healing to these broken relationships. Multiple times through these books I found myself sympathizing with who was a villain in the first two books. Because I learned why she became the person she became.
Harper didn't have a Ruth to point her to the Healer. Harper was stuck with her abusive father and mom who did nothing to help her. Again...but God. He had a plan in all of it and He pulled her through even when she set herself up for her own destruction.
This book was the perfect ending to this family saga. The character development in ALL of these characters is (again) so real. And so powerful.
If you're looking for a gritty, hard-hitting, not-holding-back-the-hard-parts-of-life Christian fiction book. This series is it.
RATINGS: ✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️ 💋 17+ (due to heavier content)
How do you take your redemption story? Straight up, no sugar, with a side of grace? That’s exactly how Relentless by Amy Caldwell serves it. This book brewed up a storm in my heart, and let me tell you—it’s the kind that lingers long after the last page. Relentless serves up a story that’s bold, messy, and full of life’s hard truths—where sin is real and the struggle is real. But by the end, it’s steeped in the Good News of the Gospel, reminding us of the incredible grace, love, and redemption that only God can offer.
Amy Caldwell doesn’t write stories; she pours them, one authentic drop at a time. Relentless felt less like fiction and more like sitting across from someone sharing how God rescued them from their own self-sabotage. Harper’s fall from ministry royalty to rock bottom felt like watching a cup shatter in slow motion—messy, painful, and impossible to look away from. And yet, every jagged piece pointed back to grace, just waiting to put things back together.
While Harper’s painful journey unfolds, Maeve’s steady presence provides the balance. A ranch-owning, coffee-loving woman of wisdom, she’s the kind of character who brews strength with love. She’s the barista of boundaries and the queen of tough love, always pouring truth but never forgetting the cream of kindness. And Oakleigh? Well, let’s just say her faith had to steep a little longer than most, but the result is something so beautiful and authentic.
Grace is the thread that binds Harper and the other characters together, proving that no matter how far we fall, God’s love never gives up.
There’s something special about the way Caldwell writes redemption that mirrors the experience of clutching a warm cup on a cold morning. You don’t realize how cold you’ve been until you feel the heat seeping into your hands. Harper’s story reminds us that sometimes God doesn’t just fill our broken cups; He replaces them, restoring and strengthening them through repentance, making them vessels that can hold the fullness of His mercy and grace.
This story is a reminder that there’s no person too bitter, too broken, or too far gone that God can’t redeem. If you want a novel that will steep in your soul and remind you of the power of unrelenting love and grace, Relentless is the cup you need.
Relentless brews up a story as rich and complicated as the perfect cup of coffee — bold, messy, and at times, bittersweet, but ultimately satisfying as it reminds us that God's love is the finest brew of all.
When you turn the last page, you’ll want to sit quietly for a moment, coffee in hand, thanking God for His relentless love—the kind that never stops, even when we’ve done everything to push it away.
Amy writes as if she is living the life of her characters, each and everyone. From the most loved to the most despised.
Book three of the Boundless series left me utterly speechless.
In books one and two which, I highly recommend, we follow Oakleigh. A girl who appears spoiled until we get down to the nitty gritty of her soul. In book two we see more chaos and learn more about the family history of the Underwood’s and Davenports.
Maeve is the sweetest yet firmest character in this series. She takes her niece Oakleigh under her wing at her ranch but all of the family drama that she works so hard to run from literally shows up at her doorstep.
Harper Davenport was lost, broken, belittled and tossed aside by everyone she’s ever loved and it turned her into a callous monster. She wasn’t a good wife, mother, sister, First Lady, friend. Nothing. She was the character you loved to hate.
But God…
After being exposed(read books one and two, no spoilers here), she literally hits rock bottom and somehow finds her way in Montana with a sister she hates and a daughter she feels betrayed by. Harper has some past trauma that she has to struggle through before she can see that Jesus loves her just as she is.
After pushing away everyone, she finds love and grace, like everyone does at Calloway Ranch.
This story will leaving you wanting to hug the meanest person you know. It was compel you to show Gods love to all those around you. We all have a story and there is nothing that can’t be solved with Jesus and a cup of coffee.
I am speechless with how well written and captivating this series has been. I don’t often re-read but this will be a favorite series for a long time.
This is one of the BEST and most unique Women's/Christian Fiction series I’ve ever read. Amy didn’t shy away from diving into delicate topics of scandal within a church. These books are full of heavy family drama, with a healthy dose of cowboy romance and suspense. The topics aren’t sugar coated, bringing to light the gritty reality of this family’s story. Broken, redeeming and beautiful. I can’t say enough amazing things about this book which is number three in the series. Please read them in order because you are going to love the growth and journey these characters embark on.
In book one we had followed Oakleigh Davenport whose father was the head pastor of a mega church in California. When secrets and scandals within their family go public, Oakleigh is shipped off to Montana to live on a ranch with her aunt who has always been considered the black sheep of the family. We went on to follow her Aunt Maeve’s story in book two, and here in book three we follow the raw and heart wrenching story of Oakleigh’s mom, Harper Davenport.
Although this series follows the fall of a pastor’s family, please know that these books don’t at ALL speak poorly of the church or the Christian faith. It simply brings to light the reality that we are all broken and in need of God’s love and forgiveness. Things aren’t always as they seem – sometimes the happy and the seemingly put together people in our lives are the ones who are crumbling from within.
This book is exceptional and a refreshing outlook on Christian Fiction, but not without trigger warnings. Topics of adultery, alcoholism, physical abuse from a parent, miscarriage…it’s all there, but nothing is explicit and completely free from any language. Grab yourself a coffee (because it’s an essential part of these books) and dive into this beautiful series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book absolutely took my breath away. If you’ve read Amy’s first two books Boundless and Steadfast, you’ll understand what I mean when I say, Harper Davenport was past the point of redemption. Well… I was wrong. This story takes you behind the scenes to help you understand the dark things in Harper’s past, and also her present. Hard things that made her hard.
Throughout this book, it’s about the unraveling of Harper. Because some of us need to hit the hard rock bottom of the pit that we dug for ourselves before we can feel the true nature of God’s RELENTLESS love.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I give this book hands down a 5 star review. I’d give it way more than that but I don’t want to break the scale.
If you haven’t read Amy’s books yet, it’s a must. She reveals the impact of church hurt in ways many of us can relate to. But she doesn’t do it in a way that stirs up resentment. She illustrates so well the difference between man-made reflections of God and the actual reflection of God revealed in His attributes and the Bible. This is the final book of this series and I will miss Oakleigh and Maeve, but their stories are also so complete.
I hope that Amy has more works in progress because I’ll read anything she writes. And I hope you guys will too.
Author Amy Caldwell hit a grand slam with this series finale!! Relentless is perfection from cover to cover! Taking on the story of Harper was something I had hoped she would share and dive into at some point, and boy did she. You will not be able to stop reading as you go along this journey into Harper’s life. ALL the feelings throughout the entire story. Per usual Amy brings to life a character in a way that has you wanting to know more and more of their story and who they are. I always LOVE the way Amy walks them through their spiritual journeys as they get to know the character of God more and how that reveals more of their own hearts. The theme of God’s RELENTLESS pursuit and love for all of us, no matter what we have done or what has been done to us courses through the veins of this story. Such a great reminder and encouragement to all of us.
Of course all of our favorite characters are along the ride for their own parts of the story and you will enjoy catching up with Maeve, Oakleigh and “her cowboy”! Don’t forget to grab your favorite cup of coffee (wishing I could sit with Maeve and try her coffee) to enjoy as you read Relentless!
Relentless is the final book in the Boundless series and perhaps the best one yet. Spilt between Oakleigh, Maeve, and Harper's points of view Relentless closes out Oakleigh's story in spectacular fashion while continuing the overall story of Oakleigh, Maeve, Harper, and life on both the Ranch and in White Bridge.
Amy pens Harper's story brilliantly by offering the villain of the previous two novels' redemption and grace. While reading Boundless and Steadfast, there were hints to Harper's past, but they barely scratched the surface of what is to come in Relentless.
As I finish reading this trilogy, I'm reminded by the titles that God's grace is boundless and that his love is both Steatfast and Relentless.
I received a copy of this book from the author about how this doesn't impact my thoughts or opinions on this book.
Relentless by Amy Caldwell is a beautifully written story demonstrating the abundant love God has available to all who humble themselves enough to receive it.
Book three in the Boundless series follows the uncompromising Maeve as she enters the story as a newly married woman. It also follows Oakleigh as she rises to the occasion and continues to learn how to live out a godly life. Finally, it also follows Harper, who by all measures of the scale should be an irredeemable character. Books one and two of the series led me to dispise this character. However, Relentless is written in such a way that it shows how even the most hopeless cases are not viewed that way by God.
Caldwell did a fantastic job of bringing White Bridge to life, once again, with her unique cast of characters. Their stories feel real, their struggles feel genuine, their faith is authentic.
I can not say enough about this story! It's truly a modern masterpiece in the Christian Fiction genre. Please do yourself a favor and check it out!
I loved this third book and how it brought a lot of things to a nice close and tied them up in a bow to ride off into the sunset with. We closely follow the story of Harper’s character in this book and watch her past try to write her future, but ultimately The Lord takes hold of her heart, using the grace of her sister Maeve to set her heart in the right direction. It’s such a beautiful redemption narrative that I loved watching unfold over each chapter. Wow, I’m so sad to see this series end — Will I ever go to Montana in the winter physically after reading this series? No. But will I be re reading this series over and over again to visit the ranch emotionally? 100% Yeehaw!
Amy does an amazing job of diving into the deep waters of church hurt, betrayal, forgiveness, healing, grace and God’s steadfast, relentless pursuit of our heart. This book was highly anticipated for me as I absolutely LOVED the first two books. And it DID NOT disappoint! I had a hard time setting it down. She perfectly encapsulates the emotions of so many characters and I was honestly sad to read it until the last page…I didn’t want it to end! If you haven’t yet read the first two books, pick those up first and finish the series with “Relentless.” Your soul will be better for it!
I fell absolutely in love with this series. Relentless had me crying my eyes out in multiple different places in the novel. As someone who has battled addiction myself, I resonated so much with Harper in this particular book. This was the perfect ending to the series. And so well written. I love how Amy doesn't shy away from hard or heavy topics, but gently points the reader to Jesus in the midst of them. I cried, laughed, was shocked, and felt alllll the emotions while reading these books.
I will carry this series in my heart forever and continue to recommend it to everyone that I know who enjoys a good fiction series.
*Trigger warning: abuse & addiction are mentioned in this book.
Amy has written some phenomenal books and this one is no different. This was just the ending we needed to this series. She has a beautiful way of letting her characters be flawed but showing God’s transforming grace in the process. In this book we get some great follow up stories to the last two books. Maeve’s story gets a lovely start that we have all been waiting for (no spoilers). Every villain has a backstory, and in this book we find out why Harper is the way she is. Bottom line if you love redemptive stories these books are for you. Don’t hesitate to pick them up!
What a great ending to the series! As always, Amy delivers. This book continues in the series with Harper’s story. Just like the first 2 books of the series, from start to finish, this book takes you on a ride you won’t soon forget. Harper Davenport is a a complicated character who you love to hate. I loved getting to know Harper and understanding the reason she is the way she is. Maeve, was wonderful as ever as the matriarch of this family. I’m sad that this is the last book.
I’m speechless, how is it possible that I now have a special place in my heart for a character that I despised?! A genuine emotional rollercoaster with Oakleigh, Harper and Maeve but they all came out of it so much stronger 😭🥹
I will however be very upset if this is the last book! I need more Oakleigh and Crew, Maeve and Dallas, Sawyer and Bethany 🥹 Will Paisley ever come around?!
Praying for another addition to the series!
The Lord truly is boundless, steadfast and relentless💕
Goodness. What a great series. I miss Maeve already! To be that level of gracious, unbothered, and steady. And let’s definitely give props to character growth all around. I love the way Amy handles heavy topics. Some hit pretty close to home, too, and were spot on. I cried, laughed, and got chills while reading this book. Bravo!
Gosh I am so sad this series is over. I loved learning more about Harper's past and why she seems as flawed as she is. Oakleigh is seriously one of my favorite characters in a series and I loved it! If you're looking for a series that restores your faith in humanity and God, this is the series for you!
Harper… what a character! But a stark reminder that God is interested and can reach even the most challenging people! Absolutely loved the finale to this series. I would love to read more about these characters, Amy did a great job in providing a story that challenges the way we deal with hurt. In a world that promotes us to clap back we’re reminded that God calls us to love!
Ok, Amy Caldwell will be an auto buy author for me. I am obsessed with these characters and could read about them forever. I loved seeing more about Harper in this book, but talk about being so incredibly frustrated but also understanding where a character could be coming from at the same time.
What an amazing end to this heartfelt family saga! I'm so sad to say goodbye to these characters, but I loved the journey so much. These characters are probably the most realistic I've ever read. They're flawed, and so very relatable.
This is definitely a series you need to read in order, as each book builds on the other, leading us to Relentless, Harper's story. I can't say much without spoiling it, but I laughed, cried, and swooned a little (Come on, Dallas saying "my girl" to Maeve? Yes, please.)
If you're looking for a family drama with strong faith and flawed characters, then read the Boundless series!
Wow, incredible book, and incredible series! I love that we weren’t done with these characters in book 1. I didn’t relate with Oakleigh in terms of being a socialite and famous influencer, but I still loved seeing her story play out. In this book, you get to see more of her mom’s backstory and struggles. That was amazing because initially, it seemed like she would never change. No one is too far gone and out of reach from the love of God!
