Someone wants Owen Black and Maria Santiago dead. When on a lark they investigate an alleged haunted house, they soon discover that the house does indeed have an unsavory past. And they realize they are being watched.

While on a trip to New York, Owen is kidnapped and comes face to face with the original owner of the haunted house, someone who wants him dead. Maria is visited by an exotic stranger and is encouraged to search for Owen. She learns of an impending arrival and discovers she is marked for excision, herself.

With the exotic stranger’s help, Maria and Owen must go back in time to change history and to save their lives.
