oh dear lord this was hornier than I remembered. HJS writes some fabulous spice, I'll give her that. Oh what I'd give to be Saskia in a Henry x Casper sandwich. Or to just join them all, honestly.

I picked this up expecting a light, steamy holiday read, and while there were moments that were enjoyable, I came away mostly disappointed. The erotic scenes were well done, but the way serious topics like divorce were handled felt shallow and almost dismissive, with important issues brushed aside rather than explored. Honestly, it might have been better if those heavier elements had been left out entirely, because mentioning them without giving them proper weight made the story feel off-balance.

The chemistry between Saskia, Henry, and Casper was noticeable, and some scenes were fun to read, but the plot lacked depth and the emotional stakes never fully landed. I wasn’t even expecting a story with a lot of heart or deep emotional content, but since certain topics were included, my perspective changed as I read, and it only got worse as I saw how poorly they were executed.

Overall, I didn’t end up enjoying this as much as I hoped. There were glimpses of what could have been entertaining or engaging, but the story didn’t come together for me, and I kept feeling frustrated with how things were handled. It’s not a terrible read if you just want something quick and steamy, but for me, it fell short in almost every other way.

This was ONE HOT AF SMUTTY CHRISTMAS NOVELLA!!!!! A woman gets plowed by her soon to be ex husband & new man as they get snowed in during the holiday! And we get the heat right off the bat whew. So much smut & quite the experience listening to it all in duet style! I felt like a little Ho Ho Ho after finishing 🎅🏻🎄

This is not the book to pick up for deep plot twists or emotional devastation. It’s short, it’s hot, and it delivers on the MMF tension with just the right amount of festive charm.

The spice? Perfection. The dynamic between Saskia, Henry, and Casper gives us that delicious blend of nostalgia, unresolved tension, and “well, we’re stuck here so why not?” energy. Low angst, high heat, and a surprisingly sweet undercurrent that makes the ending land just right.

The audio version absolutely elevated it. It’s a duet narration (and we love that!), with both John York and Ryan Mairs giving smooth, intimate performances. If you listen to the Quinn app, you’ll definitely recognize their voices—and yes, they bring that same energy here.

This didn't work for me for a number of reasons.

Spoilers below....

- Casper and Saskia are getting divorced because despite having so much chemistry and clearly loving each other she doesn't want kids and he desperately does. To me this is a heavy topic and one that's pretty depressing if I'm being honest so from the start I was just not in the right headspace for this book

- The voice actor for Henry just didn't fit the part, he sounded very young and dare I say it... feminine. Him calling her "darling" in his prim voice did not a thing for me

- Saskia never stopped wanting Henry even while she was married to Casper for 15 years and again .. this feels heavy and just sat weirdly with me. It also sounded like she lead Henry on for the whole time she was married so that he never found anyone and just pined for her.

- Really thought this would go the way of Gifting Me To His Best Friend but the fact that it ends with Casper dating someone else and the 4 of them meeting up for foursome holidays was just... not the vibe I was after.

TLDR: I went in expecting a light read with loads of spice but instead was left feeling sad for everyone for various reasons

Not a bad novella

Not my usual cup of tea. I didn't get the ick but something didn't sit right with me and I'm not sure if it was the ex coming into the gold or the weirdly amicable divorce they had... I dunno. It was a good little spicy read without too much depth and just a bit of bdsm.

This was basically straight spice, with the plot mainly revolving around their activities in the bedroom, and the lounge room, and the dining room table…you get the picture.

“We’re snowed in on Christmas Day, my friend. We’ve got nothing but time.”

However, it has enough additional character development that made it readable. It was a fun little pallet cleanser with a touch of festive cheer.

This book is hot I absolutely love Henry and Saskia but her soon to be ex husband screams red flag ( the whole breeding kink in the hopes that some of his cum would cause the iud to fail- the fact he wanted to knock her up and she didn’t want that . The fact he keeps saying “my wife” to her when they are getting a divorce . The fact that he says I’m the “ master of her pussy” no dude 🤮🤮. That would be hot maybe if he didn’t give red flag
