I’ll start by thanking the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. I do this because the formatting of the book I received was extremely hard to read. Black background with white sort of cursive print and the entire book is right justified. At first I thought the book formatting made it hard to read, but in the end the book is just hard to read.
Evelyn has amnesia from an accident that killed her parents. She has a one night stand with Christian, ends up pregnant, she ends up as his attorney and then there’s a scandal for reasons I can’t understand. Turns out Christian apparently has some amnesia from stuff in his past too - everyone has amnesia! This book is far-fetched and the romance is not believable in the slightest. At times, I think the author forgot the surprise pregnancy premise of the book as Evelyn would drink at the events they attended. She’s in another accident and no one is even asking about the baby.
This book is too disjointed and the ending does not seem realistic given all that happens. I won’t be trying this author again.

I think I gave this a three because there were never any repercussions for Ethan’s actions. Granted Christian Wayne and what happened with the accident was all kinds of messed up, but he had no idea that it left anyone dead or injured. He thought he was just in an accident. He had (amnesia-blacked out) from all the alcohol too. He never should have been behind the wheel. On the other hand, Ethan, not only was with Evelyn Miller in a relationship before her parents passed away, but when he was he mentally abused her and played f-ed-up mind games on her.
You see Evelyn had amnesia from the accident and the trauma of it all. It wasn’t until the bliss of being in the relationship with Christian that wasn’t easy to finally get to but they both worked at for the sake of their baby, remember they started as a one-and-done. But Ethan showed up out of the blue to reveal that he had been with Him before Christian. But when Evelyn gets home from work and sees Ethan she goes into shock and needs to be rushed to the hospital. But Ethan then orchestrated this elaborate way to reveal that his brother and his ex had an affair and made it public, to the tabloids no less.
Compromising her job and putting the merger they both had in the works in jeopardy. This is calculated, full of malicious, disparaging to both of them, and he continued his smear campaign. He did so beyond telling her Christian had been the driver in her parent's accident, her help in her second accident, and he might as well have written it himself--he was way beyond causing the word “GOLDDIGGER” to be written on the side of her house in red spray paint.
Ethan was your classic case of a poor little rich boy. The way the dad only showed affection toward Christian and not Ethan makes you wonder. Did their mom have an affair? Could that be the reason Dad could not hide his disdain, but stayed with their mom?
“I was close to my mom when I was younger, but after Ethan’s birth, we started to become distant. Even my father didn’t interact with her like before. It seemed like he purposefully ignored her.”
Sadly, this family had so much money, but it couldn’t buy happiness. Here all Christian and Evelyn had been trying to do with a struggle at first and had started to find common ground was to form a small family. Until Ethan. Can they piece it back together? Read and find out or did Ethan destroy everything? It was a mind teaser to make you think for sure.

My Final Say: This was a very challenging read for me. Unfortunately, I did not love it. Much like another book I've read by this author, I found it to be a mixed bag. It was interesting but odd. Some things that were presented seemingly defied logic.
There were elements to the story that certainly made me take notice, however, the delivery was not clean or perhaps precise enough to make it land properly. After a while, the timeline holes, the repetitive phrases, the formulaic romantic encounters, the leads behavioral inconsistencies, and the first person approach to storytelling just did not work for me.
Other: I do believe this book may appeal to some readers. I hope so, as I'm sure the author worked very hard on this story. Her bio requests patience during her learning process; I support this and wish her all the best.

what’s a romance with no angsty drama? I rarely choose a complex story since I don’t enjoy the misery that the characters went through but I’d say that this book by Scarlett Score isn’t too heavy with angst yet still has the complexity in a fair amount. It was an okay read for me 👍
The story revolves around Evelyn and Christian Wayne, a relationship that sparks from a one-night stand that led to a surprise pregnancy. The issue is Christian is Evelyn’s client and their brief encounter has become a big rumor so now they have to fake a relationship! Now, here’s where the drama starts, Christian Wayne is her ex’s (Ethan) older brother, but neither of them knew it–yes, neither… as apparently Evelyn has amnesia and doesn’t remember Ethan at all. Additionally, Christian also has a dark truth lingers that might affect his relationship with Evelyn. Can they finally be relieved from this struggle and get their happy ending?
If you’re up to an angsty and complex story, then this book would be perfect. I think it could be considered a dark romance at this point, though I could still finish it without draining all of my emotions. Plot-wise, I think the ending was too rushed and I feel the conflict was too easily resolved considering the angst theme of this book. Nevertheless, still having a good time reading this one!

The story started off well, but when pieces of Evelyn's past started emerging, the story took a turn.
What started out as a one night fling two months ago, ends up much differently when Evelyn shows up as his new in house lawyer. Unbeknownst to Christian, she's pregnant with his kid. But when photos are leaked to the press about their one night together, they decide to enter a fake engagement.
But Evelyn's past is traumatic. Her parents were killed in a car accident and when she finally woke up from her coma, she had amnesia. She didn't recognize anyone or have any memories of her deceased parents. That is until Christian's younger brother shows up and jogs her memories. He was an abusive boyfriend of hers, too controlling. But he also knows what really happened to her family.
Can Evelyn forgive everyone for their lies?

Overall a well written story even though it tends to drag at times and be a bit long-winded. Christopher Wayne, the swanky playboy billionaire, is a very believable character. He’s strong and assured until he isn’t so much after being hit with a few shocking moments. Evelyn, the independent lawyer suffering from severe amnesia after the accident that took her parents, is very intelligent and likable in general, but still quite lost in the fog of regaining her memories. Together they burn like fire in the sheets while discovering how to maneuver in this new relationship. Some very surprising twists and turns abound in this book. I was very disappointed in the wrap up of their story as I feel several important questions were left unanswered.

This intriguing story had me connecting with Christian and Evelyn. They enter into a one-night stand and a month later she learns that her new client is the man she slept with. Things take another turn when their rendezvous is exposed leading them into a fake marriage. This story reads like a soap opera with a villain that has you wanting to reach in and yank his chain. Will Christian and Evelyn ever get their chance for happiness.

My only concern was that the person who gave the website information, and Christian’s meeting with them wasn’t settled.
And what happened to Ethan?
Maybe this needs thought out a little better.

I enjoyed reading Forbidden Daddy's Arrangement by Scarlett Score. The storyline is well written but had a few untied issues. I was rooting for Evelyn and Christian all the way through the book. Will they get their happily ever after? I guess you will have to read the book to find out. This is the first book I have read from the author and look forward to reading more of her work.

I enjoyed this quick read, I finished it in one day. I loved the twist in the book I did not see that coming and the growth of the two main characters was chef kiss. I do wish the ending was a little longer. Maybe a little more on the brother because I felt like something else was there. This book did make me cry which I didn’t see coming but it made me like the story even more.

WOW this was a great story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. These characters was captivating and romance as their love was forbidden romance. They couldn't even fight the temptation any longer. One night with him will change her life forever in this moment. They gave into passion and lust.
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed.

I read this book in 3 days. Scarlett really kept me on my toes with this book. It’s a cute spicy read. I would give it 2.5 peppers. Christian and Evelyn had the perfect banter back and forth. They are both head strong. Ethan the brother I wasn’t a big fan of because he was the problem and bad guy, but I felt bad for him, he let his hate get in the way. I do recommend you check out this book and Scarlett’s other books. It was good!

You are only a hop skip and a jump away from one terrific romance book that will have you seeing stars. HOLY HOTNESS this cover really magnetizes you right away and just you wait and see how magnificent Evelyn and Christian are written. You can't help but fall in love with the storyline and characters while reading their romance story.

I wanted a quick easy read which I suppose it was but it wasn't really enjoyable. If I didn't need to read two books by the 31st for my Goodreads challenge, I would have DNF'd it.
The story felt rushed and flat at times. For a lawyer you'd think Evelyn would show a bit more intelligence. Really did she have to wonder if a penis could put a dint in the baby's head?

This was a quick but disappointing read. The characters weren’t fleshed out or even very likable, and this trope of pregnant after a one-night stand has been much better done by other authors. I received as ARC, so thankfully I didn’t have to pay for it except for time I won’t get back, So Christian and Evelyn, nope.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Evelyn and Christian. They meet at a conference and have a one night stand. Several months later. They meet again in Christian’s office. He is acquiring another company and needs legal advice from his attorney, which happens to be Evelyn. The attraction is still there. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
