I loved the realistic portrayal of characters who aren't perfect yet find their way to greatness. The storyline flowed well, and I couldn't put the book down. The relationship between the shadow raiders and dragons truly touched me. They went through hell and survived. The fae in this book are some of the best portrayals of fae I've seen. The fae prince was the villain in this book, but I couldn't wait to see what he would do next. He is very manipulative.
The romance that develops between Jaxxon and Tiara as she discovers her magic had my heart fluttering. It's a magnificent slow-burn romance that pulls you into their story. Tiara is not your typical character either, which is one thing I loved about this book. She's into her sneakers and sports. She's very charismatic and is the sunshine to Jaxxon's grumpy ways. They balance each other well. The ending of this book had me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book if you want a fresh new fantasy book that keeps on giving. I can't wait for the second book to arrive on my doorstep! This has been my favorite read of 2025.

Omgosh, what an epic fantasy adventure!
As always T.L Price has created a magical world, built to perfection in terms of excitement. With magical beings, Warlords, fae (not just any fae - evil vampiric fae), dragons and many more.
This storyline grabbed my soul (from the first page) and ran away with it, leaving me excited for more!
The characters are very well created, their backgrounds filled with drama, love, heartbreak - but yet they survived and carried on surviving, and in this book they find a reason to live (not just to survive but a reason to fight, and go on an epic adventure to save many species).
The bond between the characters had my heart racing through out the book. Also not going to lie I screamed, I laughed, I cried and I fist bumped the air several times!
Oh I just loved it and seriously can't wait for book 2 Destiny’s Diamond!

DNF'd after the first few chapters. Just. No.
I was pulled in by the Facebook ad, which asked, "Do you have a Quicksilver hangover?" To which i was like YES, YES I DO. Well, Quicksilver, this is not.
I immediately felt thrown against the wall of characters as though I was supposed to know them already with ZERO background or character development. That added to the fact that the main character is an obnoxious ass. Then, we have the cringey dialogue. I'm sorry, nobody talks like that. The dialogue was ridiculous. The one and only thing that I liked about it was the idea of their dragon scale tattoos. I was like, "Ooh, hot." But all that did was make me read another couple chapters of this awful book.
The angry, fighty characters are the one thing I didn't thproughly enjoy Quicksilver, not the thing I wanted to see more and worse of.

This book is a wild ride! The world-building is top-notch, blending sci-fi and fantasy seamlessly. The villain? Pure evil—narcissistic, delusional, and impossible not to hate (in the best way). The characters grow, make mistakes, and react like real people in tough situations, which makes them so relatable. It’s fast-paced with minimal fluff, so you better pay attention or you’ll miss something! Action-packed and intense—I can’t wait to read the next book

A fun sci-fi slow burn romantacy about the Crelentian relm concored by a vishious fea vampiric race called the Red Vralgari who steal and feed on magic from their victims..
The Crelentian relm was peaceful and powerful, rulled by the north and south shadow rider kings and their celestial dragons. Their females and their dragons were gathered and ruled the center of the relm in the city of spice.
After the fall of the queens, kings, their couts, and dragons the remaining survivors were the only children and baby males and dragons males that grew up in hiding and were forced to learn their ways of living by themselves.. until by chance, on a raiding mission, on a minning relm, found females of their kind with light elemental magic to complete them and ensure a future of their race..
The main characters were the orphened princes Jaxxon and Zade of the north and south kings and about a hundred children that the princes had to take care of, all now rowdy men or teenager shadow riders.
The young women they found also grew up as orphans in the mining colony when their Crelentian mothers were exiled after stealing a powerful artafact encouraged by the God of war..
Now, on the run from a Vralgari prince - Aeralis, stationed in Celentia by punishment from the vampirik red king to watch over a hibernating Vralgari army, Aeralis, his hord and an enslaved demon hord are looking for the artefact to grow into power and godhod.
The male shadow riders female light riders with dragons are together on a mission to find the dragon's hatching ground potentially with female dragons to survive and promise the future of the relm to strengten their forces and try to take back their beautiful relm from the evil Vralgari that are on their tails..
The plot is good and refreshing, but the female characters are terebly annoying, winy, and immature, in my opinion.. it could be better and has potential...

Mix fae, vampires, and dragons together then put them in space and you get the masterpiece that is Destiny's Hammer by T.L. Price. This book is perfect for fans of Fourth Wing, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and The Serpents and the Wings of Night.
The novel follows a young man called Jaxxon who along with his men are trying to survive after a decade ago their planet was invaded and the life he knew had been turned upside down after the brutal murder of his race. Meanwhile, while on a raid to get supplies to survive they discover magic that doesn't belong has been used and cross paths with Tiara and her friends. Along the way secrets are revealed and they end up on a quest on their home planet that will hopefully lead to hope for his kind.
The FMC Tiara and MMC Jaxxon are extreme opposites, however, the banter between the two of them is excellently done creating great chemistry. The setting also matches the story perfectly and adds to uniqueness to the story. While not as well developed the remaining characters also hold their own and I am looking forward to learning more about especially Zade, Maya, and Lori in future books.
I will definitely be continuing this series as it releases!.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has interesting twists and turns, especially as you see the main character Warlord Jaxxon grow. He doesn’t think he deserves love, but when it hits him on the head, he falls hard. He turns out to be a really cool guy. He is a warrior who fights to protect his people from the Fae. The baby dragon Lakoda is too cute. The dragons are portrayed in a realistic way, and you see the dragon rivalry.
Finally, a book with real villains! The Fae prince is vicious. I’m intrigued with his personality. He’s calculating and on a mission to bring down Warlord Jaxxon. This book has a great fantasy plot with a nice romantic theme that doesn’t overwhelm the story itself. I can’t wait to see what happens to them in the next book.

I feel like whoever gave this book more than three stars has to be victim of a psychosis, otherwise I would have absolutely no explanation for such thing. I found myself throughly confused after the fist quarter of the book, with just one question flipping in my mind: how could a woman write such an obnoxious, misogynistic character as the love interest? If I was the last woman of a dying species, and the males (whom I haven’t even met) talked about me like a piece of meat whose purpose in life was to procreate in order to save said species, I would probably k*ll myself before letting them find me. But let me give you some examples:
“ He thought for a second before adding, “And boobs. Lots of boobs.”
That really got the men laughing, but Jaxxon noticed their eyes hungered for every detail. He didn’t blame them.”
While describing her after seeing her once. Also:
“Our paths were meant to cross. And I won’t lose you again. Jaxxon was a warlord who wouldn’t be denied.”
Wouldn’t be denied? This is fucking creepy and also, the way they were all sexualizing her (without any kind of effort or consent from her, and we all know not-consensual sexualization is the only one accepted by misogynistic men) felt slimy and disgusting.
Not to mention the constant need to bring other women down to upstage the FMC. Again, after the descriptions and how he saw women, I had to check that the book was not written by a middle aged, bald man.
I have not stayed to read the second part of the book, so I am in no position to give my thoughts on the plot. Also about the writing style, I feel like my opinion is not one that should warrant much credit: English is not my first nor second language, and while I’m fluent enough to write this, I have no official or unofficial titles on this area of expertise.

Started my 2025 early this morning with a fast-paced arc with compelling characters. A sci-fi fantasy. There are dragons, dragon riders, shapeshifters, magic, vampire fae, a Prince who thinks himself a God, the history of different planets, races, and humans who have discovered females who can become their mates.
The author is known for her sci-fi dystopian with elemental magic, and she keeps up the quality by giving us a science fiction space conflict and politics with fantasy elements with technology and weapons giving it a steampunkish in-space vibe. She picked the best characters to start, presenting us with the world, language, moods, vibes, and triggers so we know exactly what to expect and it's hard to put down. The author knows how to keep our interest with great chapter-ending hooks. Crelentian females can be the answer to all, first... because one of their leaders, Tiara is absolutely a kickass not to mess with. She defends the weak ones and fights for a better light. The first scene in which Tiara and Jaxxon communicate is exciting and sets the tone. These are two leaders who will give us a great relationship.
The novel has a hint of primordial behavior as these males (mostly displaying alpha behavior) are drawn obsessively to the females. They wish to protect them and keep them beside them as a family not just to have a good time. Lots of characters to fall in love with and lots of relevant scenes that will help with character development. Good balance of scenes with sass and fun, politics, and action in joining forces against the ruthless prince god.

This author is new to me and I'm glad to say that I enjoyed the story. It felt more like a sci-fi dystopian story than a romantasy. I'm a fantasy/romantasy girlie through and through and although this book had my favorite romantasy components: Dragons, Dragon Riders, Elemental magic, evil Fae (vampiric in nature) to name a few; it was definitely sci-fi. In my opinion
The only thing that kept me from giving this story a 5-star review was the characters. I enjoyed the dragons and side characters more than the main characters. Jaxxon was too rigid and set in the old ways and Tiara was annoying. I understand wanting equality and to contribute but she was constantly doing stuff thinking she was getting the upper hand or that what she was doing was funny; when all she was doing was making reckless, selfish and inconsiderate decisions.
This story was full of angst and tension because Jaxxon and Tiara were always at odds with one another and Jax and his team had more dangerous matters to deal with without focusing on Tiara and the other female's drama.
This story kept you guessing and literally had you experience a range of emotions: Laughter, Sadness, Irritation and Excitement. Although our characters went through some things in this first book, they haven't even scratched the surface of the shenanigans that are waiting in store for them.
Jaxxon is determined to reclaim Crelentia, and restore all that was lost but first he must change his old school way of thinking and come to the realization that Tiara and the other newly found Crelentian women are the key to Crelentia's survival.

Just say dragon riders and I’m all in! After finishing the Fourth Wing books, I was looking for something with dragon riders. Wow, this one blew me away! Warlord Jaxx and Kylo, his dragon, are leading a dangerous mission to find an artifact sought by the Fae. Only, they find a mysterious woman who is more than meets the eye. Tiara is a firestorm. She is tough as nails and determined to find a better life for her and her friends. She has no idea she’s in danger from the Fae, and it’s a good thing Jaxx shows up just in time to save her. The book quickly takes you to Crelentia, the realm of Shadow and Light where Jaxxon and the Fae live. The worldbuilding was great, making you feel immersed in Crelentia and its magic. There’s even a magic library!
The romance is well done. Jaxxon and Tiara fall for each other, but neither wants to admit it at first. They are both strong-willed and sometimes bump heads. This leads to banter and hilarious good times. There’s also a romantic relationship between the Fae Prince and a demoness. OMG, those two are true villains you don’t want to mess with.
The writing is impeccable and the pacing is perfect. It’s a page-turner. The characters are balanced, and you see them grow from the beginning of the book to the end. I preordered book two as soon as I finished reading the last page. I’m eager to keep reading their story.

This leads to banter and hilarious good times. There’s also a romantic relationship between the Fae Prince and a demoness. OMG, those two are true villains you don’t want to mess with.
The writing is impeccable and the pacing is perfect. It’s a page-turner. The characters are balanced, and you see them grow from the beginning of the book to the end. I preordered book two as soon as I finished reading the last page. I’m eager to keep reading their story.

I rarely leave reviews but just needed to say something about this book. I’m very disappointed in the fact that this was written by a woman and yet one of the main characters, Tiara (among other women), seems to be constantly sexualized by the “love interest” Jaxxon and his surrounding men from the very beginning of the book to the end. Besides relentless sexualization, there’s just straight up misogyny, too. To make sure I wasn’t crazy, I read other reviews and found that a couple other people seem to be in agreement about this. Significant additional issues are that the writing just doesn’t seem to flow right at all and the story is a bit all over the place. Think sororities, spaceships, vampires, demons, dragons, royalty, and warlords all wrapped into one book in a way that honestly does not work and definitely was way different from what I expected going into reading this. It’s a wild ride for sure. If you’re looking for a kind of mindless read, I’d say go for it just to have fun. If you’re like me and read for meaning, deep storylines, and character development, I would pass because you will not find that in this book. Still, respect to the author for putting out a book in a genre that’s become highly popularized and difficult to find a space in.

What a wild ride!
Destiny's Hammer was such a treat and I cannot wait until the rest of the series is complete.
First, the author does an amazing job at entering us into a magical world and introducing us to characters that are strong independently, but together they are absolute FIRE. I loved the relationship between the main characters, and it felt feel very organic to me. There were no unnecessary moments of conflict or tension, but while the book was full of it, it was all necessary and very plot-driven. The characters were very dynamic with links to trauma and heartbreak, but you find the light in the world and their relationship right along with them.
Secondly, the plot pacing was perfection and I blew threw the whole book in less than 24 hours. It grabbed my attention and kept it from the first sentence to the very last page. The romance, the battles, and the magic was so incredibly done that it definitely didn't feel like I was reading.
Lastly, I typically rate on feelings, and it's very clear that 5 stars means I felt ALL of the feelings, and Destiny's Hammer definitely left me in a book hangover!
Overall an amazing read, and I absolutely cannot wait until this series is complete.

Destiny's Hammer is another stunning addition to T.L. Price’s repertoire, and once again, she has blown me away with her exceptional storytelling. The world-building is absolutely top-notch, effortlessly blending sci-fi and fantasy into a seamless and captivating universe. The combination of fae, vampires, and dragons—set in space—makes for an epic and unique adventure that kept me hooked from start to finish.
The villain is one of the standout features—pure evil in the best possible way. Narcissistic, delusional, and completely impossible not to hate, this antagonist adds so much intensity to the story. The characters themselves are wonderfully crafted, reacting like real people would in tough situations—growing, making mistakes, and evolving throughout the narrative, which makes them incredibly relatable.

I love dragons, so I accepted a free copy of this book.
I loved the concept of the story, completely. A race of aliens trying to rebuild their society, using the help of their dragons and magic… Promises of a steamy adventure when they find women that may have also been part of their species… Happily ever after…
The problem is that only one of those things is true. The "sex" warning had NOTHING to do with the main characters, and I just can't quite get over the fact that the "woman" in that particular scene had to be covered in a thick layer of fur, because she was told to shift to her demon form. The two times that I thought the main characters would finally come together, they were interrupted. Things did NOT end happily, unless being invaded is a good thing. It also did not help that none of the conversation was believable. People do not talk like that, and a mature adult would not think that way. "Your father, the shadow king of the north…" I'm certain that he knows who he is, so it's not necessary to specify that EVERY TIME.
I'm not sure if I will want to read the next book. I want to know what happens to them, but it was not an easy read for me. What should have taken no more than three days, took almost three weeks., because I just could not get into it.

Such an interesting plot! Warlords with shadow magic and dragons. I saw this on Tiktok and knew I had to read this one. Overall, the story paced well and kept me intrigued. While there's some technology in this book, the majority of the worldbuilding is magic based. The fantasy map is by far my favorite. I love books with fantasy maps. Here, Crelentia is a land of shadow and light. It was taken over by the Red Fae, who are vicious. Prince Aeralis is the Fae prince. He has a demoness by his side. The two are villains in the book.
The romance is spicy with at least two scenes. Touch her and die! Jaxxon is a warlord who went through a horrific childhood at the hands of the Fae. But when he meets Tiara, their relationship changes both of their futures. Grumpy and sunshine romance with great plot lines. I enjoyed their first meeting at the club. It was cute. I'm looking forward to the next installment of this book series.

Right off the bat, I felt thrown into the middle of everything without much time to understand the world. There’s magic, there’s advanced technology, and, of course, there are dragons. Usually, I’d love these elements, but having them all at once — without enough world-building to balance them — felt overwhelming. It came across as a bit chaotic rather than immersive.
As for the characters, I couldn’t connect with them. The pacing didn’t give me enough time to get attached or honestly care about their journeys. I wanted to feel more invested in their stories, but I was too busy trying to figure out their world.
It had potential but needed more grounding to make everything flow naturally.

An intriguing twist, full of shadow raiders, fae, dragons all things Romantasy.

I loved how the fae are depicted in a completely different light as bone chilling vampiric fae and demons who are both far from the hero’s. The shadow raiders, who have lost so much and feel all their hopes and dreams could be answered when they encounter Tiara and her crew. Who are quite simply the complete opposite to the females the shadow raiders have encountered or learnt about through past history.
The plot was refreshing, encompassing new worlds, with a whole mix of characters ensuring it was a compelling read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first instalment and am looking forward to the next in the series!

I get so excited when T.L Price releases a new book! After falling in love with the Exiled Elementals series I couldn’t wait to see what new book Destiny’s Hammer was about!!
Price has such an incredible ability to create and take you to a magical world and forget about everything else…🤩

I absolutely loved the characters - Warlord Jaxxon and his right hand man Zade are a great pair and I really enjoyed there bond and there banter! 🤣
I also loved the female characters Tiara, Lori and even Maya 😅
I love the way Price writes sassy, confident and clever women 😍

This is so hard to review. I love anything dragons, and usually can forgive a lot of issues with writing and dialogue. However, this book was simply hard to read. I felt like I was dropped into a series at about book 3 instead of book one. There’s no world building, the lore is confusing, the characters are introduced almost all at once, and the storyline is a tad chaotic.
There is little to no character building and the terminology needs to be consistent. If you’re going to write about new planets and create storyline’s with dragons, magic users, magic eating vampires, shifters, and demons, please consider creating a language.

It was a little slow going at the beginning as I kind of was stumbling around trying to figure out what was going on but, as soon as I was able to follow along easily the story opened up into something delightful. There is tons of action and danger and of course lots of budding romance. Tiara and Jaxxon are slowly finding their way and both are having to learn to give and compromise. Maya will need to ge watched she is trouble. There is the possibility for something wonderful for both the men and the women if they can stay away from the Vralgari Fae.

but i did feel like the writing was all over the place. there were just too many characters and too many things happening in the beginning for me to fully enjoy myself/immerse myself in the book. i found the dialogue a little cringey at times.

I loved Jaxxon and Tiara. They are opposites but the same. They push each other’s buttons and it is funny to read.
I loved so many of the characters and there is one that I really don’t trust and it isn’t Aeralis (I don’t like him either but that’s a given).
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is the first book and I know it will get better. If this was a standalone I would probably give it 5 stars because it is really good.
