The War Game #5

Beachhead Episode

Rate this book
There’s a whole galaxy out there up for grabs — Carter Ash is going to take it.

After narrowly surviving multiple attacks, the United Interplanetary Republic is ready to claim their first new system. The fleet is built, the soldiers are trained — it’s time to go.

Conquering new solar systems is no easy feat, and Carter has his work cut out for him. There’s dungeons, armies, and all sorts of challenges ahead. At least he has a fiery redhead to back him up.

But not all is as it seems in the new system — people are dying in unexpected ways. There’s danger around every corner, and an old enemy is out to stop them before they can get a foothold.

That’s just life in the War Game.

The War Beachhead Episode is a litRPG novel for discerning adults.

Again, not the best stuff out there, but interesting enough that I've kept reading to this point. On the (relative) strength of this volume I'll read book 6 as well, but no promises past that. I did find the smut/story ratio was good for this sort of book, i.e. the former took up relatively little of the runtime.

This was the key determinant of this getting a 4, as if these books had excessive amounts of sex in them, the overall story isn't compelling enough for me to wade through that.

this book sucks!

This book sucks! Enjoyed all the books so far but got a third of the way in having had to grind my way through it hoping I’d catch the early book spark, but that’d be a big NO.

Boring, followed by boring couched in an uninspired tasteless dopamine killing narrative.

This was yet another excellent entry into this series.

A new planet is inhabited by the fledgling new group created by the MC. Soon, things start to happen, from Game related stuff to real enemies showing up. Another two harem members join up, and things get pretty hectic by the end of the book.

I've really enjoyed this series, and very much look forward to book 6.

Fan service really!!!

Really the first 400 pages are just exploration and NOC fighting then the last 200ish pages where a show of military incompetence and at the end a short speech of why there going to fighter bigger in next book.

This is such a phenomenal series,.easily one of my favorites! The concept, overall story, and characters make it so you won't be able to put it down! I eagerly await the next entry in the series!

Another solid entry for the series. It does feel a bit like the author is accelerating towards a series conclusion in the next book or two.

The coincidences that are revealed with each pre-game memory the main character unlocks have some promise.

Great series

This "final" book in the series was excellent, the MC comes in

to his own and takes charge. His enemies get their just desserts and he keeps rolling along

another great installment

Great read. Love the storyline and the harem knight himself. New problems and solutions and some visits from the past pop up. Can’t wait for the next one
