Biblio Barbie is a Colorado native, monster lover, and purveyor of spicy, slightly unhinged romance. When she’s not writing about sentient mascots or pickles with passion, she’s probably curled up with her husband, an iced tea, and an idea that definitely shouldn’t be allowed to become a book, but will. Author of Howls and Home Runs and Gagged by the Gherkin, Biblio Barbie is here to make you laugh, blush, and question your grocery list.

Catch her on Instagram @biblio.barbie where she’s usually rating books with bizarre meters, chatting about Shrek, thirsting over monsters, and probably... hot dogs. Look, we don’t ask questions.

I had so much fun reading this. I loved the cheesy jokes and puns sprinkled in. I think bought Lief Erickson was from SpongeBob this whole time, so I’ve also learned something new 😂

Having lived next to no less than three different Leif Erikson statues in my lifetime, I can honestly say I never viewed Leif in THAT way. That being said, thanks to this book, that’s all changed.

Delilah is on a girl’s trip to Chicago when she stumbles upon a Leif Erikson statue and it’s near instant infatuation. There is a lovely amount of heat to the story and a bit of a language barrier, but both parties get what they’re aiming for in the end. This author does a great job getting me weirdly emotionally attached to sentient objects and I look forward to each release (ahem).

I did have a nice “awe” moment reading the Icelandic translations at the end. Plus, the bonus recipes are always welcome!

This was such a fun, witty and wild ride! When Delilah and her friends take on the windy city, it sets the stage for the best girls weekend and a hawt metal Norse hunk, come to life! I loved seeing Gemma, Bex and Amber featured in this story. Biblio Barbie knocked it out of the park with capturing how awesome and amazing each of these Booksta friends are! I legit could not stop laughing at the humor that was weaved into this story.
Moving onto Leif, he was a total hunk. I loved the magical and mystical wink he kept tossing Delilah's way. I'm glad she got a parting gift so that she has a piece of Leif forever!
Overall, this was a really fun and quick read!

An annual girls’ trip takes an unexpected and enchanting turn in this sparkling read!

From laughter-filled PowerPoint presentations to late-night heart-to-hearts, the girls are soaking up every moment together. But Delilah can’t shake the feeling that something—or someone—is watching her. When the statue of Leif Erickson seems to twinkle just for her, she chalks it up to her imagination… until Leif himself steps in, smooth as ever, to give her exactly what she needs. His words? Utterly swoon-worthy. His gift? Something she’ll treasure forever.

A fast, magical, and delightfully spicy escape—perfect for when you crave a book that leaves you grinning from start to finish!

My Date with a Leif Erikson Statue
By Biblio Barbie

Have you ever seen a statue and thought “damn they are hot”?
Don’t lie. You have.

Delilah takes a girl trip to Chicago when she stumbles upon a rather good looking statue of Leif Erikson and that’s when the real fun begins.

Leif isn’t all that he seems. But Delilah just thinks she’s imagining his twinkling eyes that only she can see. She’s not wrong that there is something different about this statue and he’s about to make things really interesting.

Biblio Barbie wrote such a fun book. It’s got humor (such great puns), spice, best friends, and it’s perfectly entertaining. You’ll enjoy this quick read and you’ll end up wanting more of our hot metal man.

4.5/5 rounded up

Do you want a novella about a hot Viking statue, that only speaks old Norse, banging a woman on a girls weekend and then leaving her a special gift. Plus a bonus hot dog recipe at the end. This is the perfect read for you 😂

Honestly didn’t know what to expect but it was fun and funny and honestly just an enjoyable read.

There are translations at the end of the book, I didn’t know that and took the time to type this message out on my own and the translation didn’t disappoint

This was so much fun! A girl’s trip that ends up including a spicy romp with a Leif Erikson statue that mysteriously comes to life? Who would say no?

This is a silly, fun, spicy, and quick read! Biblio Barbie always makes me laugh, and this was no different! I really loved the idea of doing a PowerPoint life update to keep your friends in the loop, true adult friendship 😂 this is the perfect novella to grab when you just need a pick me up!

•Sentient Romance
•Quick & Funny
•Spicy Times w/ Leif

Thank you so much to Biblio Barbie for sending me a copy for an honest review. 💖

✨Release Day✨

This was such a short and fun read. Delilah and her group of friends were so fun and relatable. It made me want to go on a girls trip. Read this if you’ve ever looked at a statue and thought, “Yeah… I’d tap that.”

“He’s giving Viking daddy, and I’m here for it.”

“I can work with this, right? Gargoyles have stone d*ngs, so metal is not much different. However, I might need to get an updated tetanus shot.”

I’m so happy to support you on your writing journey, Danelle! Thank you for letting me be part of it 🖤

I’m absolutely loving every book in The Sentient Object Holiday Series, and Biblio Barbie is no exception! With that signature Diva of Dong touch, this unique story introduces us to a sexy Leif Erikson statue—after this, you’ll never look at statues the same way again.

I adored this book—it’s silly, spicy, and completely unhinged. A girls’ trip that takes an unexpected turn into a very sexy encounter? Sign me up!

Leif leaves Delilah a little something to remember their night of passion—now it’s up to you to find out what it is.

The language barrier made everything feel even more real, adding that special touch to the story. Plus, it’s one of our favorite tropes as monsters and sci-fi girlies!

This was such a fun and hilarious read—I couldn’t put it down. Honestly, we all need a sexy statue in our lives!

Every book in this series has been so much fun! Delilah and her girls take a little trip together every year and this year just so happens to be around Leif Erikson Day and there's a hot statue so of course sentient shenanigans are bound to occur. I metal statue smut was lots of fun and the friendships were perfect. Ready for my next girls trip!

Probably the weirdest thing about this wasn’t that she had sex with a statue but used a dildo in an airport bathroom. Now that’s absolutely sick.

Biblio Barbie does not disappoint! This was such a fun and spicy read.
The friendships were wonderful and the gals were all too funny.
The spicy is definitely spicy and who knew a statue could get it? 😆
I thought the ending was perfect, but I also wouldn't say no to some more of Lucky Leif.

I definitely recommend Biblio Barbie's books and I can't wait to read the rest of the Sentient Object Holiday Series!

I recieved this short story for free as an Advanced Reader Copy ahead of release. I am so excited about the entire Sentient Object Holiday Series. This was the second book I read in that series.

I liked the structure of this short story. It had good plotting and a clear ending that wrapped things up perfectly (didn't leave you feeling unfinished like some short stories do). I liked that he was a real statue and not a shifter! also loved the translations and recipe at the end of the book!

Excited to read more from this author and this series!

I’m amazed by the imaginations each of these authors have!

It was also super interesting reading this and hearing Biblio Barbie’s voice in my head. Lol

This was super cute though! I love that it centered around a girls trip and what else are you going to do but dress up in clothes you don’t normally get to wear, drink too much and sneak an orgasm or two when you’re alone?

I also really loved how authentic Leif was with not speaking English. Language barrier is hot no matter if it’s an alien or a statue of a big hot Viking.

And she got one hell of a souvenir!

Wildly entertaining, nonsensical, and just a little unhinged! This girls’ trip turned sentient statue hook-up is a hilarious one-sitting read that will have you researching old Norse explorers in your free time.

I loved that Delilah still spent time with her best friends and enjoyed their weekend together while daydreaming, instead of blowing them off. She’s a real one!

I'm so glad the first sentient romance I read was this! I loved every moment of it!

The premise was perfect, girls trip with a close group of friends who do not see each other often visit Chicago. On that trip, the organizer Delilah starts getting strong eff me vibes from the Leif Erikson statue.

If you haven't read SOR do yourself a favour and start with this one. I sped through this and moved immediately onto Howls and Home Runs!

What a great short story. I liked how she noticed there's something more to his statue right from the off. With some laugh out loud moments and a bit of hot spice, it's what every girl needs on a weekend away. His parting gift was excellent and definitely something to remember him by. Another great addition to this sentinal object series

I was so excited to get this arc and it was well worth it! It left me craving more (in the best way) it was short, to the point, and sexy as hell. I was literally laughing out loud, an absolutely genius sentient object read!

I received an advance copy of this book, all options are my own.

This was absolutely amazing.

I cackled laughing. It was fun. It was relatable. I felt called out as a monster romance reader. And I will never look at a statue the same again.

hey Leif daddy

Wasn’t sure how she was going to pull off a statue book but somehow it worked. The special present left behind was amazing. Can’t wait to read more.

Welp add Author Biblio Barbie to my auto-read Authors list.

Ok so I knew going into this book three things for certain....

One... it was going to be slightly unhinged and absolutely entertaining.

Two....I was going to more than likely never look at a statue the same way again.

AND three...it most certainly was going to be HOT as hail... and it was!

I'm not really sure any other author could have managed to pull this concept off so smoothly.

Even though it's a short read it still manages to have a plot... I mean seriously it's a fun story.

I genuinely love this little series... they're great short and spicy reads that are tons of fun!

Now don't mind me while I go google this viking man...

So I want to give this story major bonus points for having a bunch of women go on a boozy holiday and there is NO fighting and everyone is casually supportive. Love to see it.

Look, I don't think I can get behind a Leif Erikson statue personally, but I cam certainly see what the appeal is in what he's packing. A short smutty weird read!

I read an advance copy of this book, my thoughts are very much my own.

I just love this whole series and I knew Biblio Barbie's would be fantastic!

Dehliah and her friends are enjoying a well planned out Girls Weekend in Chicago and stumble across a Norse weekend that includes a very sexy Leif Erickson Statue. Dehliah keeps sneaking glances at the statue and ends up having some delicious time with him and his magical metal dong.

I have such a love for sentient object romances and this one was just right up there with them!
