Beautiful. Maven. Index. Ten Women Sharing Stories About Defining Beauty On Their Terms
In Beautiful. Maven. Index., ten women from diverse walks of life share deeply personal and transformative stories about what it means to feel beautiful in a world that constantly tells them what beauty should look like. With honesty, humor, and raw vulnerability, these women redefine the narrative around beauty, creating a powerful tapestry of voices that challenge conventional standards and highlight the importance of self-empowerment.
Each chapter offers a unique perspective—from navigating societal pressures around body image, to embracing age, to overcoming self-doubt and celebrating individuality. These stories reveal the complexity of beauty as something far beyond physical appearance, acknowledging how it’s shaped by culture, identity, history, and, most importantly, by the choices we make about how we see ourselves.
With an eclectic blend of backgrounds and experiences, the women featured in BMI offer new ways of looking at beauty—not as a set standard to attain, but as a dynamic, fluid, and deeply personal journey. Their voices are a testament to the strength that comes from embracing who you are, exactly as you are.
Beautiful. Maven. Index. is an invitation to discover beauty in its many forms—and to believe that every woman, no matter her shape, size, age, or story, deserves to feel powerful, radiant, and most of all, beautiful on her own terms.

Reading this collaboration of each woman, in her own voice, in her own life story and perspective of growth, allowed me to reflect about my own journey.
Each chapter gave connection and inquiry into the story of how our society and how we individually define our own beauty standards. Time to break free with what was learned.
These shifts of perspective and their own evolution in their stories allowed me to go inward to celebrate myself while also celebrating them. It felt beautiful.
I found myself many times redefining my own knowing of beauty from the strength, love and words of these women.
A great recommendation for women to read in their journey as they not only reflect on their life journey, but also the beauty that they are in their story too.
