Lockland Logan was warned to stay away from his envious sibling, Jalen.
He didn’t listen.
Lured by Jalen who claims he wants to reunite, off the premise of being changed, Lockland invites him back into his world. This ends with Jalen doing something so heinous it destroys Lockland’s foundation, pulling him deeper into his brother’s evil web.
But when he makes a promise to his demented mother before she to walk away from the streets, protect his sister, and bury his grudges before he buries her, he reluctantly agrees.
That is until she passes before he can exact revenge.
A man of his word, Lockland can’t let her go—not yet.
Keeping her body hidden, he vowed to finish what he started and take down the man who destroyed everything he loved… Jalen.
As the feud spirals into chaos, old wounds resurface, and dark secrets emerge, threatening to tear apart what little remains of their family.
With time running out and the streets closing in, Lockland must decide how far he’s willing to go for justice, and whether a promise made in love is worth dying for.

Lockland, Turner, Jalen and Memory. As only this author can she weaves a tale about family where lies are uncovered and betrayal is deep. I literally read this book twice. I didn't want to miss anything. These four characters have a mother named Cakes who is a real part of this story. Go get your copy!!!!!!
🌸 OMG, intense is totally the vibe of this book! 📚💖 I was on the edge of my seat, wondering if Jalen's clever moves would outsmart Lockland, especially when things got super dangerous between them. The drama was real, and it perfectly showed how rage and jealousy can lead to a total meltdown. 😱🔥
And let's not forget about Cakes! She was definitely stirring the pot between the brothers. 🍰🕵️♀️ I would've loved to know more about Jalen's past before Lockland came into the picture. His struggles with love and the issues with his mom added such depth to his character. 💔
I have to say, the constant crunching of boots on gravel was a bit much, but it didn't take away from the thrilling twists that kept me guessing. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, another twist popped up and blew my mind! 🤯💫
Overall, "A Weird Place" is a an okay read with so many unexpected turns. If you're into stories that keep you guessing and are full of surprises, this one's for you! 📖✨
Ms. Styles, you have done it AGAIN! Where your imagination comes from and how you write ‘page-turner’ after ‘page-turner’, I’ll never know, but I thank you because I enjoy your work immensely! Your characters jump off the pages and I become immersed in the storyline. My brows knit, my stomach knots, then a smile forms! Just when I think I have it figured out, you flip it! -lol! MUCH respect for your craft! ONE request- write faster and stop making us wait SO long between masterpieces (smile)
This story was so good. I stayed engaged, but as with most of this author's books, I had to take short breaks . The story has a lot of tense moments. And that ending was everything! It was totally unexpected. If you like twisted, intense, tales of woe read this!
Another hit from T. Styles, you never disappoint. This was an intense page turner. The relationship between Jalen and Lockland raw, the love, the jealousy and envy. Love hurts. Looking forward to the next part.
This book was ok, tbh it dragged. But i can’t start a book and not finish it. I wouldn’t reread it but T Styles is still one of my absolute favorite authors
Intense is the best way I could sum up this book. A few times I was wondering if Jalen moves would outwit Lockland, especially when the war started to become more dangerous and each wanted each other by any means necessary. It truly shows how rage and jealousy could lead to one own downfall. But we can't pretend Cakes didn't have her hands involved in what happened between the two brothers. I would've loved more in depth in Jalen ways before Lockland came around because it seems he was troubled from a lack of love and hatred from his mother before it manifest into what it was as an adult.
I would say the overuse of boots or shoes crunching on the gravel became way too repetitive and it felt ingrained in almost every sentence at the start.
Overall this was a great story with twists as I thought I figured it out and yet another twist threw me for a loop. Great read
