Charlotte's Web Collector’s Deluxe Edition: The Beloved Classic Novel About a Pig, a Spider, and the Power of Friendship―with Printed Edges, Foil, ... Williams Illustrations, Plus Bonus Content
A quote in the supplemental material cites this book as written for "anyone over eight and under eighty". That is what makes this so wonderful. Never dumbed dow as most children's books are today or full of life lessons. It has some lessons (or observations) to impart as in the passing of time in all ways especially in the process of aging and seasons passing and the passing of all creatures from this moment onto the next after death. So simple in the telling and, yet, fantastically structured in the plotting. Some Reading!
This was a reread of one of my favorite books from childhood. I first read it in third grade and immediately fell in love with the story and its characters—and I still love them just as much today. This is one of the books that sparked my love of reading.
Returning to it more than thirty years later, I felt many of the same emotions I did back then. The story and characters are sweet, the book is full of whimsy, and it gently reminds us that change and growth are natural parts of life. This is a book I believe everyone should read and enjoy.
