From mighty Zeus the thunder god and Heracles the strongest man in the world, to Pegasus the winged horse and snake-haired Medusa—the characters from Greek myths are famous throughout the world. This collection of stories, maps and information is a rich exploration of Ancient Greek mythology.

“My beauty is not for your pleasure,” she blazed. “It is not for a mere man to take what has not been offered.”

“Besides, I’m sick of men thinking they can take what they want. Of their easy assumption that women are here for their pleasure. Of their boasting to their friends of their conquests…”

“There are all kinds of wonders in the world—magical, glorious, useful things.”

“It’s always the women who suffer, isn’t it?”

Because of his smiles and his soft words, she lost everything.

“Treasure every moment of your life, Odysseus, even your struggles, and never tell yourself that you’d be better off dead.”

I had the time of my life reading this book. Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe has got me into my Greek Mythology era. I wanted to learn more about Greek Mythology so I brought this book and learned so much. 5 stars.
