A simply wonderful read, characters that are great and plot that’s riveting reading
Enchanted Falls is a simply magical place which is completely filled with a variety of shifters and the wonderful characters Kalyna Foxworthy is a fox shifter and she is a very well-respected librarian that is extremely popular amongst the visitors to the library.
Rust Leonid is the town mayor and he also is a lion shifter that is well respected among the individuals that live in Enchanted Falls and this is how the pair meet and begin a romance that the town watch with great interest.
In the town there are some that are bias to the mixing of shifter species and others that believe that love is more important and when a famous fox heirloom is stolen and it falls to this wonderful couple to discover who is responsible. The are attacked whilst they are closing in on the culprit and it draws together other couples and individuals in the town that want to see the valuable artifact returned to its home.
This was a wonderful read it has a great plot and a love story that has to overcome some prejudice, also it is essential that they remain in good stead with the other members of Enchanted Falls as this is their home and is where their friends and family reside.
I guarantee that you will love this read and will enjoy the outcome of the story it was riveting reading and hard to put down until I reached the end and discovered the outcome.

The Purrfect Rival begins the Enchanted Falls series with Kalyna and Rust’s… sizzling, tradition-challenging romance. The mate attraction was obvious from Kalyna and Rust’s very first meeting. Although in this town, differing species rarely, deeply intermingle, let alone have a real mate bond. Kalyna is a fox shifter, and Rust is a lion alpha. Yet their magics are reaching for each other, enhancing the others, and yes, defying tradition to become something rarely seen in Enchanted Falls…a prophecy come true. There is opposition that can be overcome in time, and there is defiance that will try to break them, steal their magic, and disrupt the entire town’s residents’ magic. It’s up to this couple to solve a mystery, keep each other alive, and, somewhere along the way, solidify their mate bond into something to last beyond a lifetime.
I enjoyed this opening title in the Enchanted Falls series very much. There is worldbuilding, there always is in the first story to some degree, but meeting the townsfolk, seeing where the division lies, and where acceptance of something different is made apparent brings this story to life. Watching Kalyna and Rust navigate the politics, the emotions, and the dangers of their situation was a fascinating introduction to this world. If you love a well-written, emotional shifter romance with touches of humor, steaminess, and tension-filled danger, then you’d love The Purrfect Rival by Milly Taiden.

New town- Enchanted Falls. Another one that is filled with mostly shifters. This book stars fox shifter Kalyna Foxworthy, who is the town librarian, and lion shifter Rust Leonid, who is the town's mayor. The romance between these two has eyebrows lifting and magic sparking. Of course there are those who do not want these two to be together. Lions should stick to their own kind, ditto for foxes. While this is just an old prejudice for most, someone is taking their distaste and distrust too far. A valuable fox shifter heirloom is stolen and Kalyna and Rust are repeatedly attacked. Everyone is ready to get to the bottom of whatever is going on, and they are willing to work together to do it. Maybe this mixed species romance will turn out to be a good thing for the town.
This one has it all. An unexpected pairing, lots of magical fireworks, a bad guy who has evil minions to order about, lots of new characters to keep straight. I read it in record time and can't wait to see what (or who) comes next. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Introducing your next favorite series!!!
Milly Taiden has written a book that made me want to learn more about Enchanted Falls! I loved how the story built up slowly, but in a mysterious way. I love mysteries and never thought of a paranormal love story combining that lies in a town shadowed by tradition and rivalries. I enjoyed how the main characters grew chapter by chapter and the ending felt like a great conclusion! Although, I wish the chapters were a bit longer because I just wanted to know MORE! Which is a great thing in my opinion because I was invested after the first chapter! I can't wait to see what else happens in Enchanted Falls. I received a free review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Centuries of distrust and separation mark the relations between the Fox and Lion shifters of Enchanted Falls. Their Elders warned of the combining of red and gold, the combination of their magics, bringing ruin. But when literal sparks fly at the first meeting between Kalyna and Rust, perhaps all is not as it seemed.
The mixing of fox cunning and lion strength created an entertaining story, as well as a fledgling alliance between the clans that call Enchanted Falls home as they battled dark magic and betrayals from within their families. I really enjoyed this introduction to Milly Taiden’s new magical world and can’t wait for the next story.

Enjoyable, sweet story
This is the first I’ve read from this author and I really enjoyed it. The main characters were admirable and their relationship development was believable and sweet.
I wish there’d been a little more context provided for the world. There was a bit about their city but it left me with questions: was this a different world? Were there humans? Did they know about the supernatural? Where did other supernatural species fit into the hierarchy?
Generally I enjoyed the story and I plan to read more in the series, but world building could’ve been more detailed.

When Kalyna enters the council chamber she sees Rust and they both stop unable to look away. Although their animals don’t put a name to it they are mates but not any mate but a special joining that will bring all the different species together or irrevocably tear them apart. But there is one person who will not let paring take place, Rusts cousin Boz and he will use any means he can find.

This was such an entertaining read. The characters are intriguing, the plot engaging, and there was never a minute where the story felt like it was lagging. I was captivated by the story from beginning to end and can't wait to read more in the series.

Different type of read to me

Wonderful story
I don't think there's a Milly book I don't like. This one captures all the paranormal images I love through reading. Where different species join together in love and shows the town what unity can do. Loved it!
