An intense drama and vengeance filled lengthy read with some magic as well as cult life. Be forewarned there are triggers for some. Rose will do anything to save her bestie Beth from dying of her deadly disease, the sister of druglord Carl even putting up with his tormenting. The attraction between her and Bear is intense and he wants her, even if she pushing boundaries. Numerous characters to keep up with, some from previous books, but can be read as a standalone.

Bear and Rose
This is another book in the Skilletsville PA Destroyers MC and we have Bear and Rose’s story. They may have not started out in a conventional relationship but that didn’t stop them forming a bond. This book gave me so much of the things I love in my MC books. It had drama, betrayals and steam with the right amount of darkness. I cannot wait to see what this author brings me next in this series.

Dark & Delicious!
There are so many layers to this book and I had so much fun peeling each off. Bear and Rose were truly meant to be. They come together under unusual circumstances but the love that developed between them could be felt off the page.
This story moves quickly and had a complexity to it that I loved. Please review the TWs if you have any because they are real! Can’t wait to read more from this author!

This book was bad a** I loved every minute of it. first time reading this author, and I'll will be reading everything before this one. I loved Bear and Rose. he's was the classic bit awesome Grumpy MC, and Rose was sick a strong and firecracker type of woman. the two of them together were great. I loved how they worked together and then found that attraction. I'm definitely moving on to all the rest of these books!! I can't wait for more.

Powerful. Wondered what kind of woman it would take to catch Bear but Rose is something really special. Her loyalty is extreme for those she loves. Carl needed to go he was to evil to keep but his ne good turn maybe bought him a little grace. I’d love to see the blacklit tattoos they would be spectacular but the cost to get them was truely terrible. The Destroyers are turning into a club of very happily married men.

First time reading this author and I am absolutely hooked…..could not put this book down. Bear is the ultimate growly biker and Rose is the perfect combination of strong, cunning, and adaptable. Despite the odd way they meet and start to spend time together they quickly develop a relationship. Although they each have their own motives they work together well at handling the threats that are thrown at them. This book had everything I could ask for…angst, drama, darkness, love, spice, and happiness. I am excited to read more from Calia and from the Destroyers MC.

Roses Are Dead is the third book in the Skilletsville PA Destroyers MC series. I love these bad boy bikers. I became so engrossed in the story I felt all the feels. I laughed and even teared up. You know you're invested in your characters when they make you cry. This is the story of Bear. We read a bit about him in the previous books but in my opinion if you read this book first you wouldn't feel like your missing out on anything. I recommend reading the entire series (including the prequel) Legacy of Smoke #0.5, Blue-eyed Jacks #1, Live Love Steal #2, Roses Are Dead #3. I look forward to reading any future books in this series.

I have loved everything by Calia that I've read so far… but this one is AMAZING!! I love that there is no constant rambling repetitive inner monologue that makes me skim read.

Excellent! Mystical and witchy and leather and whiskey, this book absolutely satisfies. It’s an MC Romance with two practicing Pagans, one of whom is a witch. He sees her standing, sky clad, casting a spell. And that was it for him, he just didn’t know it yet. Bear worships the Norse gods and Roishin’s beliefs intersect with that.
There are marvelous scenes where she gets new biker babe clothing and those were catnip to me. Catnip. I personally want a leather duster like the one she wears.
The sexytime scenes are explicit without being graphic, and are quite well done.
There’s a *boatload* of Triggers. You’d need a chair and a lunch to wait while I name them. Fortunately, I don’t have to; the author lists a very thorough content warning in the front matter.
This is not an abused-heroine-on-the-run book. She is abused, but she’s not running anywhere. Roishin is playing a game for some very good reasons, and she is working her magic to try to stay one diabolical step ahead of her abuser. Bear is BIG. And HOT. He’s a tattoo artist, and is up for the position of VP in his MC. He wants desperately to save Roishin. Together they are truly magical.
I loved this book! It was epic but accessible, smooth as the aged whiskey Bear is so fond of. These characters will stay with me for a long time. Which is saying a lot because I read about 2k books a year.

But, her choice in men has always been horrid and it seems that's something that's never going to change.
Now Roishin is trying desperately to get out of her current situationship. She's willing to do whatever she has to, even if that means she has to go as far as cursing the man she finds that she's currently living with if that's what it takes. She just knows that she wants out of this thing and she doesn't care what it takes to get out.

Bear is 6'5 of a man, most look at him like he's a beast of a man with his Mohawk and all his tattoos that cover his body. So, imagine Bears immense surprise when a local dealer who's been skimming funds off the top hoping to never get caught. But, when he gets caught he offers up the very woman Bear has been searching for and he offers Bear her up as payment for a month. Bear knows that this isn't normal. But, Bear believes everything happens in life for a reason so he decides to accept the offer knowing he really has no reason not to.
Roses are Dead is a love story that manages to steep itself into your very soul while you read about a religious nutter, her dying best friend, and Bears MC club. I loved that in this story we get Bear and Roishin's backstory. And this is such an interesting backstory and it is one that I never actually expected.
I will say that Carl was nothing more than a pain in the ass and I am so glad that in the end, he got what he deserved. This did up the action and the tension than I had expected from about the 70% mark to the very end. This is such a fun, exciting, fast read.
If you enjoy the supernatural and the MC then you are going to enjoy Roses are Dead. I suggest you pick it up ASAP, I just know that you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

I really liked Bear and Roishin because they were so fitting for each other. I like the nicknames they gave each other because they fit who they are and I love how they fell in love with each other which was quick but the way they admitted it was very them. I loved that they made vows to each other and that she was doing what she could to keep her secrets safe while she told Bear the surface truths about Carl. I quickly got invested in this story once I got to know more of the plot and mystery while also enjoying the romance between the biker and the witch he was starting to get interested in. I loved Roishin's need to keep Bear, his friends, her friend Beth and John and their four kids safe by leaving Bear to go with Carl even though she knew how that end for her, but not exactly how he was going to come to that outcome. I cried for her and him near the end of the book and was put back together in the best way possible at the end. I'm glad they got their happy ending by the time everything was done. It is definitely 4.5 to 5 stars I'm giving this book.

Bear needs to find out if Carl is playing both sides. He may be good for selling product, but if he is talking to the police, he needs to make sure the club is protected. While there, things don't turn out as planned, and he ends up walking away with Roishin.
Bear knows Carl is playing him, but what is his endgame? Rose knows Carl has something in mind for her as well, but if she can keep him to his word, to help his sister, she will do anything and take any punishment for that to happen.
Rose doesn't trust easily because of what happened in her past, but Bear has gotten under her defences. Bear realises that Rose is perfect for him. She sees through the facade and sees the person underneath. Both fall hard and fast, but what will happen once the month is up?
A fast-paced, action-packed, steamy novel. A real page-turner. One that I couldn't put down.

Oooof I loved this book . A pagan witch and a heathen Follower of Ásatrú ? Of course I’m in , add in the Destroyers MC and I’m one happy Witch.
Bear is a beast of man at 6 ft 5, his Mohawk and tatted … well every where really. He cannot believe his eyes when he sees a beautiful, NAKED woman with hair down past her butt, who is at the end of the boat dock throwing eggs and screaming in to the wind during a lightning storm. Yeah, only a witch would do that , casting a binding spell. Bear didn’t know who it was aimed at but it bound him to her for sure, he couldn’t get her out of his mind.
Imagine his surprise when a local dealer who is skimming off the top has this siren hiding in his house and offers her as payment… for a month. Now it’s not normal is it? But Bear believes his gods do everything for a reason so why not?

Rose is a witch and this is a pretty character heavy book as we get to really know the character Rose more than Bear and Rose’s backstory is so interesting as she is a witch and is really spiritual. I enjoyed this read but it was very different than what I ever expected. Bear is dark and broody, overprotective after getting to know Rose on so many levels and they are similar in religion. I didn’t really like how religion heavy this was but I liked it because of the witch stuff with Rose and the spells and different things she’s been through. Carl was such a pain and I’m glad he got what he got at the end. This ramped up more than I expected at the 70% mark too right until the ending. Very fun and pretty fast read.

Carl was such a pain and I’m glad he got what he got at the end. This ramped up more than I expected at the 70% mark too right until the ending. Very fun and pretty fast read.

I have enjoyed the other books in this series and was excited to see this one being published!. So it makes me sad to only give this one three stars (maybe 3.5). I just couldn’t get into all of the spells and witch type situations. It’s just not my thing. It took away from the story for me too much. For me, if that wasn’t in there I’d have given the characters and their story 4 or more stars. I know so many love these types of books and for you, it’ll probably be great! Just personally I found myself skipping scenes because it just wasn’t my thing. I am still glad I read this book. I loved Bear’s character and I love how Rose bit back at him a lot. I even love the silly pink shoes!

Roses Are Dead is part of the 31 Days of Trick or Treat: Biker & Mafia Series, as well as being book three of the Skilletsville Destroyers MC Series.
There was a lot of supernatural elements with this one. Rose is in a bit of a predicament with her life at the moment. She is doing things to ensure her best friend gets the medical help she needs. But in doing so she is also putting herself at risk and in danger. Enter Bear, who tries to help Rose the best that he can. However, Rose is such a determined person and has a wit and craftiness about her that she doesn't need anyone's help...until she does. It was a very suspenseful read with everything going on with the story.

Roishin (Rose) is bartering for her best friend's (Beth's) life and has sacrificed herself to Beth's brother, Carl. Bear has been tasked with collecting a debt from Carl and ends up taking Rose as collateral. Turns out Bear isn't as scary as he appears and he and Rose are similar in their beliefs. This is a grump meets sunshine (kind of) romance between two broken souls who finding healing in each other. It can be read as a standalone but knowing the history of the other characters would have been helpful at times.

Book three of Skilletsville Destroyers MC by Calia Wilde and it is fantastic. I read this book in one sitting. I just kept turning the pages to see what would happen next. There's action, some violence, and a bit of romance. The characters are well developed and fantastically engaging. The chemistry between Rioshin and Bear sizzles from the beginning. And Calia's motorcycle club world building is incredible and brilliant! I highly recommend reading this book if you enjoy reading about motorcycle club!

What an intense, powerful and all consuming story that had me hooked from page one. Bear and rose are everything I needed and more. I could not stop reading it.
It's filled with spice, drama, darkness, angst, suspense, action, love, fun, happiness, and so much more. I really did love these characters, their story and the plot. So wonderfully written.
Highly recommend.

This is another great addition to the series and I loved seeing Bear get his HEA. He and Rose may have met in an unusual way but they sure were perfect for each other. She's such a strong, smart and adaptable woman. And he's quite the growly biker but they sure strike sparks together ;P Expect to feel all the feels in this one, as well as the angst, drama, danger and spicy romance. So good and I can't wait for the next book :D

A new author for me and I was hooked instantly by Bear and Rose’s love journey. Bear, growly biker is brought down by strong and loyal Rose after their odd meeting. I enjoyed the MC world created and was drawn into the drama, darkness, loyalty, sizzling passion, possessiveness and love. I will be looking into more by this author. Bear never knew that he was missing an important part of his life, that is until he met Roshin (Rose). Now he is back tracking his life and realizes that he cannot live without her.
Roshin, stayed away from relationships because love was never real, that is until she fell for the big burly biker, Bear.
I loved the way that the characters worked together. I loved the plot and how it flowed perfectly with the rest of the characters in the story. I can't wait to read more from this MC.

I never could have guessed that MC books would be one of my favorite tropes, however, I can't find it in me to be embarrassed about it. I loved the drama, violence, and magic that followed Rose and Bear throughout this book. Their chemistry was incredible. What happens when death is knocking at their door? Will their passion be enough to save them, or will it be the fire that finally burns them?.

Rose/Roishin has never made good choices when it comes to men. She finally reaches the point where she is tired of being the victim and cast a spell on her ex. Bear is gets what he is owed by all means necessary, including taking Rose as collateral. The pair have such chemistry from the beginning but the path is never smooth.

The story is about Rose, who is a witch, and what she wouldn't do to save her bestfriend life. Beth has cancer and the only one who can save her is her brother Carl who is also Rose ex. and he's an A$$ a very horrible person. there are triggers that may affect some be cautious. Bear is part of the MC and he ends up getting Rose from Carl. that's another story in itself. this has violence, trust, love , spells, and protection. if you've read any other story by Calia this will fit right in

Their story is intense and dramatic and completely consuming. It's intriguing and dramatic and an absolute must read!
