Audrey Wilde Brian and I have been together for 5 years. We’ve experienced a lot of firsts together, though not many adventures. But it’s fine. Those things would have mattered to old me, but everything before Brian no longer matters. I sacrificed it all in hopes that it would make me happy putting him first. I grew comfortable. I thought I was happy and in love until my best friend, Carina, meets the love of her life. I soon find myself questioning everything in my relationship. Immediately, I’m swept up in their engagement bliss as we prepare for the wedding of the century. There’s just one problem… Her fiancé's brother—Alexei.
Alexei Cristof I have it all— money, prestige, women. I’m comfortable with where my life is and where it’s heading. More money, more prestige, more women. What more could I want? Everything is perfect until I’m faced with the one thing I can’t have. There’s just one problem… Her boyfriend—Brian.
This is a standalone novel with a guaranteed happy ending. There isn’t any cheating in this book.
I was drawn in for the blurb for this book and initially I really enjoyed it. But as we continued on I found myself frustrated over and over again by how weak willed I felt Audrey was. Add in what happened with the MMC’s father and how for someone who was supposed to be such a hard ass/bad ass mafia guy and he didn’t kill or even hurt his father I felt thrown off by it.
I understand it was slow burn, but when the fmc spends 70% of the book with another man before anything even happens with the “main couple” it threw me off. It also felt like the book was about two couples (her best friend and his brother) and didn’t focus on the main couple enough.
Overall the writing was well done but I couldn’t connect enough.
4 ⭐️ Why you’ll love this book!! 🔥old money mafia 🔥billionaire 🔥rags to riches 🔥dark & sinful MMC (def morally grey) 🔥touch her & die 🔥enemies to lovers 🔥there is a third act breakup BUT guaranteed HEA!
Audrey is in a lack luster of relationship with her boyfriend Brian. I do not like how he treats her and what his mom does eww if I had a boyfriend’s mother who did that and he was like Brian I would dump him.. I don’t know if he has always been like this if so I would be done .
Alexei is a playboy only looking at woman at the time that can take care of a need and only that. Until the dinner with the family and Audrey. Once she got under his skin the fun began lol the text he sent her and his brother Ace tell him and his other brother to leave Audrey alone only sparked their interest of course ..
Can I say I dislike Brian some more because god do I ..I mean 5 years dating and still not living together when they live in the same town red flag ..
Mafia Romance. Slow burn. Yes, please! I came across this author/book in one of my local fb groups and she was looking for readers. I reached out and let me tell yall. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed this read!! I felt that the FMC was very relatable. There were so many moments that I was internally yelling, squealing, cheering, and so many emotions. Awesome job, Alora! As I can’t wait to read another of your reads!🖤
Initially I was rating this book a 4 star, but as I got to thinking about it and writing this review I realized it’s more like a 3.5. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, BUT I wanted more!! Slow burn, loved it, and when I say slow, we’re taking 70% in and you finally get to the really good stuff. The playful banter kept me hooked. There were times I couldn’t put the book down and others when I felt the story dragged on. Alexei is everything you want in a bad boy, the type of man that would lay his life on the line for you. So, was I shocked when his father did the unthinkable and he was allowed to survive?! Like where’s your gangster? Ultimately, a good read for a debut novel.
everything about Alexei Cristof was sin incarnate.
When I saw the blurb to this book, I was immediately intrigued. And the second Alexei appeared on the pages, I was immediately enamored. I love a morally gray manwhore, especially when said manwhore is tied to an elaborate criminal empire. I mean, color me intrigued.
The story is very much a slow burn. Audrey has been with her boyfriend for 5 years and while all the red flags are waving, she spends a lot of her time justifying him in her mind. Which, honestly, relatable. But also, after a while, I did want to shake some sense into her. But I digress. Audrey is asked to be the maid of honor for her best friend's whirlwind marriage and she happily accepts. This also puts her in the sights of her fiancé's brother, Alexei. The second Alexei comes on the pages, I knew I'd love him. He's an unrepentant playboy with a taste for partying and strippers. No woman makes him look further than one night, but soon, something about Audrey begins to intrigue him to look deeper.
Now this was a solid 4 stars for me, up until the 40% mark where I found the story began to drag. I got tired of the story line of Brian and Audrey's inability to put him in his place. I also found the story to be choppy and a bit all over the place in parts. My main quibble is what felt like an incredibly sudden 180 degree flip in Alexei's personality. It just didn't click for me and I had a hard time buying into it. By the time their romance came about, it felt a bit sudden and I felt like there wasn't much relationship development for it to feel satisfying enough for me to connect to it.
Was it a fun read, absolutely. I'm certainly intrigued enough to continue the series. And while I didn't love this book, I did like it.

Book Review: No Longer Safe by Alora Kai Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Okay, this book?? It had me feeling ALL the emotions. 🥹💘 If you love slow-burn romance, forbidden feelings, and a story that makes you question what it really means to be happy, then No Longer Safe is IT.
So, Audrey has been with Brian for five years. It’s safe, comfortable, and she’s convinced herself that’s all she needs. But then her best friend Carina gets engaged, and suddenly, Audrey starts seeing love in a whole new light. Cue the entrance of Alexei—Carina’s future brother-in-law and the walking definition of temptation. 😳🔥
Y’all… Alexei is DANGEROUS. Not in a “bad boy” way, but in a "makes you rethink every life decision" way. Audrey knows she shouldn’t feel drawn to him, but their connection is undeniable. The way they just get each other?? The lingering looks, the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife?? I WAS LIVING FOR IT. 😭💘 Meanwhile, Alexei, who’s used to getting whatever he wants, suddenly realizes there’s one thing he can’t have—Audrey. And it destroys him.
This book is all about choosing yourself, finding real love, and realizing that sometimes, safe isn’t the same as happy. 🥺💔 Audrey’s journey felt so raw and real, and the way Alexei adores her?? PERFECTION. If you love:
💖 Slow-burn, forbidden romance 🔥 Tension that will have you screaming into your pillow 🥀 A heroine finding her own happiness 👀 A hero who is hopelessly in love but trying so hard to respect boundaries 💍 A wedding backdrop with alllll the drama
Then you NEED to read No Longer Safe. It’s sweet, emotional, and reminds you that you deserve a love that sets your soul on fire. Now excuse me while I go stare at the ceiling and recover from these FEELS. 😭💘
Thank you to the author and the author agency for an arc copy of this book.
💌 When Audrey's best friend gets engaged to Ace—a billionaire with high status—Audrey becomes her maid of honor and is paid a hefty sum to do so.
💌 At first, it seems like Audrey is just jealous of her best friend's perfect life, but there's more to it. Watching her best friend have everything she ever wanted makes Audrey question her own stagnant relationship.
💌 Her boyfriend? A complete red flag—no time for her and criticizes everything. Audrey's pain is palpable as she settles for far less than she deserves.
💌 And then there's Alexei. The man who doesn't believe in love or marriage but treats Audrey like she deserves the world.
💌 From the start, Audrey and Alexei's chemistry is undeniable. He makes her laugh, listens, and treats her with the kindness and respect her boyfriend never did—making her feel truly seen for the first time. Alexei, with his quiet strength and unwavering loyalty, steps into her life like a storm she didn’t know she needed. He challenges her to dream bigger, to believe in herself, and to see the beauty in her flaws.
💌 Despite his reluctance to believe in love, he finds himself drawn to Audrey in ways that scare him yet feel inevitable. She’s the light in his otherwise shadowed world, a world he’s built around walls to protect himself from pain. And Audrey, who’s spent so long settling for less, begins to realize that maybe Alexei is the kind of love worth fighting for even if he doesn’t think he deserves it. Together, they’re messy, complicated, and imperfect, but their connection is real, raw, and unlike anything they’ve ever known.
💌 Some chapters felt too short, and the story dragged in places, but overall, it managed to keep the drama alive.
I’ll be honest- I had my doubts when I picked up this book. I’ve never read third-act break up before, so a part of me was like “How are things going to be then? What do you mean Audrey breaks up with Brian and gets together with Alexei?” I couldn’t really understand that at first. But I have to admit that I am absolutely in love with this book. As someone who is a huge fan of mafia romances, WOW. And the fact that this is the author’s debut? And it’s just so good?? I’m already waiting for Dimitri’s book impatiently. Our girl Audrey is so damn strong. I tried to imagine how I would have dealt with the situation if I were in her place, and I’m 100% sure I would have buried myself six feet under the surface. The fact that she was able to lift herself up after a disastrous break up, and stand strong and confident in her own skin- 🤌🤌🤌 She’s amazing. One thing that I had been super curious about, and definitely not ready for, were the cane-wielding grannies (saw that in the tropes list and went 🤨). If my first impression of them was “crazy”, then I have no idea how to explain my view of them at the end of the book. Not sharing any spoilers here, but I went from “I’d stay away from them” to “they’re actually really nice” pretty quick! I want a cane-wielding granny as well 😭😭 Overall, this was an amazing read. It was slightly fast-paced, very easy to understand, and the way Alexei cared for Audrey-? Perfection. Now I’m upset because I know that the chances of me coming across a mafioso like him, or Ace, are lower than that of dinosaurs returning to the planet, and I’m not too sure if I can forgive Alora for introducing me to a man I’ll never have. I suppose fake scenarios and day dreams will have to do for now 3
This actually had me hooked and I couldn't put it down!!! It's a slow burn and when I say slow burn.......it is sloooooowwwwwww lol I was super happy when the two Main characters finally got it on!!! 🤣 but honestly the story is so good it keeps you reading.
Audrey is just bursting to get out of the small town she lives in she always wanted something more......but she's trapped in a loveless relationship with Brian. They've been together 5 years and still don't live together or even talk about marriage and kids. She is super funny and Wild!!! I really liked her as a FMC she's been held back by the douche that is Brian.
We have her best friend who's getting married and you guessed it the guy she's marrying is in the mafia.....so she starts to help her bestie with wedding planning and such and this is where she meets Alexei the bad boy, the black sheep of the family. Alexei is the groom's brother and he doesn't believe in love but when he meets Audrey he can't seem to shake her off and she's all he thinks about. Only one thing in his way and that's the boyfriend. The push and pull between these two is lush 😋 once these two give in to the chemistry urgh 🥵 if you love tropes such as
Best Friends wedding Enemies to lovers Old money Mafia family He falls first Slow burn Possessive MMC
Please check the trigger warnings too but honestly this book was chefs kiss and I can't wait for more of the other brothers.....I think Dimitri is next in No Longer Mine and I honestly can't wait!!!
‘No Longer Safe’ is about wanting more than what you have and having the courage to take a leap of faith. It's about seeing who someone really is and caring for them anyway. It's about putting faith in someone and knowing they've earned it.
Audrey feels stuck… stuck with her boyfriend who always seems to have an excuse to avoid doing anything she wants to do. He wants to change who she is…. And she gets an opportunity too good to pass up. Her best friend, Carina, is going to be traveling for her wedding and she wants Audrey to come. And then she meets Carina's fiance's brother, Alexei… And she starts to see that maybe she can have it all.
Alexei and Audrey have a push and pull type of chemistry and it is delectable. You can feel the electricity, the tension with every single interaction. Audrey is a beautiful soul and as she spreads her wings and starts to heal, Audrey is unstoppable. Alexei may not be seen as a catch initially, but as the story unfolds, we truly see him and who he is *for her*. I absolutely love them together!
The family members – oh the grannies. I love them! And the brothers! Ooh la la! I'm so thrilled to see them in future stories!!! (This is book 1 of the ‘Rags and Riches’ series).
This book is everything. It starts out as a whisper and ends with a roar. Phenomenal!
Its an angsty start for debut author Alora Kai with No Longer Safe. The heroine Audrey had settled for Brian. Their relationship was boring, but she didn’t see how mundane things had become until her best friend got engaged and she saw all the passion and excitement that was missing from her own life and despite herself, she feels an attraction to the groom’s brother Alexei Cristof, something that he definitely reciprocates.
I was a bit on the fence about reading this as I’m not a huge fan of cheating involving the hero or heroine as a rule but thankfully that wasn’t part of the story. Audrey breaking up with Brian was more down to him sucking the life out of her, and she was tired of being his doormat, something she’d let happen but was now taking back control of her life. The overall story was engaging if maybe a little wordy in places but interspersed was some amusing interludes – grannies, I adored you and Alexei’s brothers weren’t half bad either and I was pleasantly surprised with the mafia vibe. Alexei was the kind of character you initially love to hate but who you know will come good in the end. He pushed all of Audrey’s buttons anytime they meet but he made her feel alive. I would’ve liked more of a conclusion to the situation with his father but perhaps as the series progresses, we’ll get to see him get what he deserves.
Audrey has been with her boyfriend for 5 years. The spark is pretty much gone, but she still loves him. When her best friend gets engaged, she finds herself in the lap of luxury and very attracted to the groom’s brother. Alexie has no plans on settling down, but when Audrey walks into his life, he is immediately done for. She just needs to get rid of that boyfriend. (TW: DV, mafia romance)
This was so good! I believe that this is the author’s first book, and I could not even tell! I cannot wait to read more from her!
Both Audrey and Alexie were well developed. It was a slow burn without being a frustrated one! The spicy was spicy without being over the top. The mafia part of the romance was a side story, and we do spend a ton of time with the illegal activities. Alexie is also very respectful to Audrey even if he he “touch her you’ll die” at first glance, he is more “touch and I want you to die but I’ll get over it” at heart.
There is one VERY common trope that I am not a big fan of (not miscommunication), so I personally wish it wasn’t there. It didn’t ruin the book for me, but it also felt not needed!
Overall, this was an amazing debut novel and I highly recommend it if you like mafia romance! It isn’t too dark!

This book had me hooked from the very beginning, and I couldn't put it down!!! This book is about wanting more than what you have and having the courage to take a leap of faith. Audrey feels stuck… stuck with her boyfriend, stuck in her small town, and craving the need for change yet afraid to take that leap. Her best friend, Carina, is newly engaged and wants her best friend along for the ride. She meets Carina's fiance's brother, Alexei, who makes her start to see that maybe she can have it all. Alexei and Audrey have a push and pull type of chemistry. You can feel the tension with every single interaction. Audrey is a beautiful soul, and as she spreads her wings and starts to heal, you see who trueself shine. Alexei has a hard exterior, but as the story unfolds, we truly see him as he truly is, especially when it comes to his feelings for Audrey. I absolutely love them together! It's a slow burn, and when I say slow burn, I mean turtle, pace slow. But once our two finally came together, it was like fireworks. The family members – oh the grannies. I love them! And the brothers! This family is truly protective when it comes to the ones they love. I can't wait to see what's next in this series!
I have absolutely loved being an arc reader for this book! I have and always will be a huge Mafia Romance fan! They honestly have me in a choke hold.
And this book is no exception!!
This book follows Audrey who is stuck in a doomed relationship that she’s desperately trying to salvage as it’s ‘safe’. Until her best friend gets engaged and she starts to see the cracks within her relationship and seeing her partner for who he truly is.
Alexei is the play boy, who does not take things seriously and of course doesn’t believe in love, until he meets Audrey and suddenly, she is all he can think about and he absolutely LOATHES it!
The character development in this book for both the FMC and MMC is beautiful and the chemistry between them both is written so beautifully.
This book is the perfect blend of romance, mafia, a bit of humour and plenty of twists and turns to keep readers guessing.
And I’m not gonna lie The Grannies are something else so amazing 😂 and the brothers? True loyalty and will protect the things that matter to the family most ❤️

No Longer Safe Rags to Riches Book One By Alora Kai
💵 Old money Mafia 📚 Rags to riches 💵 Dark and S¡nful MMC 📚 Touch her and 💀 💵 Enemies to Lovers 📚 Third act break up BUT there is a HEA
🎶 Has a Playlist 🎶
"He's everything I hate." "She's everything I crave." My goodness this was a ride and a half!
This novel follows the story of Audrey, who is stuck in a relationship with no spark but doesn't realise it until her best friend gets engaged and has a million engagement events with the soon to be hubby's old money rich family, including the tall dark, handsome and downright sinful Alexei (one of the groomsmens brothers) who is infuriating in all the best ways 😉 She ends up engaged to her own boyfriend 🤢 until she finally realises he is absolutely no good, and well mother knows best 😆 And then it is on! Alexei has his chance, BUT does he have the courage considering he is a mega f**kboy? Will there be a happy ending or is she just out of luck with her Rags nit being up to scratch for the riches?
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
If you love books that are slow burns then you are going to love this one. This is the story of Audrey and Alexi. She is on a mission to get out of the small town that she lives in. She has always had dreams of something more though. However she is trapped in a loveless relationship with Brian. These two have been in a relationship for five years and it is going no where quick when it comes to future plans and children. When her best friends is getting married to a man that is in the Mafia she of course helps her to plan the wedding which leads to her meeting Alexi. He is the black sheep of the family and the brother of the groom. Audrey is the sweetest but she has a wild streak a million miles long. However he never has believed in love until he meets Audrey. These two might just be a little obsessed with each other. However, the one thing in their way is Brian. I really liked reading this book. It was a really fun read.
No Longer safe starts out with Audrey being in a crumby, bland, no love relationship with definitely no orgasms with Brian. Her best friend is getting married and her fiancé is loaded. So she wants to take them to all the wedding festivities. Of course Brian says No, because he’s a douchebag. So Audrey goes with Her alone. She meets the Cristof brothers and they are wild. Brian catches wind of her partying and the affection of one brother and assumes the worse. So he goes to NY for one of the trips. Brian really shows his true colors and the monster within hisself.
I am definitely part of the “Hate Brian fan club”
After the fiasco with Brian and Audrey trying to rebuild who she once was she tries dating again only to be led into more hurt. I can’t spoil this for you!!
This book was an absolute 5 ⭐️ read!!! The backstory given on Audrey, and others was perfect. The romance was real and raw. The spice was minimal but I came for the plot and it was phenomenal!! I cannot wait to grab up book two; No Longer Mine!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️

I loved this book. Is it a literary classic? No. But it is a compelling, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance packed with depth, heart, and just the right amount of spice (open-door, but not over the top).
Audrey and Alexei stole my heart. The chemistry? Off the charts. The tension? Had me yelling “JUST KISS ALREADY” more than once. But this isn’t just about romance—it’s about healing, found family, and reclaiming your voice. Watching Audrey rediscover her power was nothing short of empowering, and Alexei’s arc from broody chaos to beautifully vulnerable was so satisfying to read.
The twists kept me guessing (and screaming), and the emotional moments had me melting. Bonus points for the badass bestie energy and the chaos of planning a mafia wedding—it was everything.
My only complaint? BRIAN. Justice was not served.
If you’re looking for something that blends action, romance, and personal growth in a way that feels fresh and binge-worthy, this is it. Sequel drops May 30th, so now’s the perfect time to dive in!
This book follows Audrey who is starting to wonder if the 5 year relationship she’s been in with her boyfriend is what she’s truly wanting. Her best friend has found the love of her life with all the fireworks and Audrey can’t help but wonder what that feels like. Her journey back to finding herself is really inspiring. Then we meet Alexei, the bad boy/play boy that is so much more than meets the eye. His instant attraction to Audrey and the way he works to show her she deserves more is beautiful. It is a slower burn for the main couple coming together in my opinion but there’s plenty of sexual tension thrown in. There’s a bit of a second romance story thrown in since it follows them planning the wedding between Audrey’s chosen sister and Alexei’s older brother, definitely like the concept of two couples in one book. Definitely curious if the next books in the series will follow the other brothers or not. I give this book 3.5 stars and (2 for spice level)
When Audrey's best friend gets engaged to ace a billionaire with a high expectation family she becomes her maid of honor but is also paid a hefty sum to do so. Because the amount of parties and duties will literally make it a full time job. Watching her best friend be in love and have everything she could ever dream of makes her question her own relationship. And as things become more and more obvious that Brian her long-term boyfriend isn't treating her the way he should it comes to an end. Alexie is all sorts of trouble and is known for a lack of commitment she shouldn't want him and he most definitely shouldn't want her. But there's chemistry there's magnetism and they can't seem to stay out of each other's orbit. Welcome to the world of criminal billionaires. While Brian tries to tamper down and change Audrey's personality Alexi just wants to see her shine in all her glory. This book is incredible and an absolute must read. The spice, spices too!
Audrey is the Maid of honor for her best friend (Carina’s) wedding. Audrey senses that Carina’s fiancee is more than he seems but when she is pulled into the family orbit by way of wedding duties she is almost certain there is more. Audrey is soon drawn to Alexi (Corina’s fiancee’s brother) and Alexi can’t get thoughts of Audre out of his had. Too bad Audrey has a long term boyfriend.
This book exceeded my exceptions in the best way. It is a little bit mafia, a little bit insta attraction, a lot of steam and some twists I didn’t really see coming. There are some great characters in this book and I am hoping we get to see a lot more of the Cristoff family. There are some strong female characters that I loved reading. Then there is Alexi. Let’s just say that the playboy falls hard and fast and it was a joy to read. I love it when you start a book with no expectations and the story grabs you and pulls you in. This is my first book by Alora Kai but it won’t be my last. Great read.
ARC Review ✨ First I would like to say a big thank you to Alora for letting me be apart of this ARC Team! Rate: 4.5/5⭐️ Spice: 2/5🌶️
What to expect when reading No Longer Safe; -Enemies x Lovers -Forced Proximity -Found Family -Mafia Romance -He Falls First
I thought I had a feel for what was going to happen and nope I was wrong, like plot twist lol
So Audrey is going to be in her best friend’s wedding and this is where she crosses paths with Alexei. He knows he has to stay away because of her boyfriend and plus he’s allergic to relationships. She is trying to find sparks in her relationship again but has it run its course?
Alexei & Audrey was very entertaining lol between the banter, spice and the ending I was hooked. I will say it is a slow burn and the only reason I didn’t give it fully five stars was because it was a slow start to get into but after that I could stop gasping because I was shock, saying awwwe or laughing.
Side notes: -Everything that came out of “B” mouth all I could think of was ewwww 💀 so A Plus writing right there on that character.
-Um can the grannies get like a novella 😂
Fav Quote: “This entire time I’d been afraid he would destroy me but instead….😉”

This was my first read by Alora Kai but it definitely won't be my last. I'm looking forward to seeing where this series goes.
No Longer Safe was the perfect blend of romance, spice, drama, and tension and the mafia twist was right up my alley. The rags to riches trope was fresh and new to me, and was written so well. I really enjoyed the plot was written around Audrey and Alexei's journey. I love a man that is down bad but doesn't want to be, and so gone for the girl that his heart and head were at war.
It took Audrey seeing what real chemistry, passion and love look like from her friend's relationship to realize what she was missing in hers. She had to meet the right man to realize that she was with the wrong one all along. Of course that man had to be a morally gray bad boy, but aren't they the best kind?
The ending was too rushed. Aside from this, I enjoyed the plot mostly until a certain point but I couldn't really find much love or likeability for the main characters throughout the whole book. I wished a certain family member had been murdered. I wished for the MMC to be darker and not do what he did 80% into the book. I wished for the FMC to have more self-respect and love for herself. I wished for more relationship building.. I wished for Carina to fall off a cliff and never return about 5% into the book. And Ace.. he can quite literally stick his head up daddy's arse and suffocate for all I care. Hopefully his father would die in the process.
I received this book for free (ARC) in exchange for my honest review which I am leaving voluntarily.
Ok so I was a little intrigued when I started reading this book but I was a little let down I felt the MFC was a little weak she put up with a lot the first abot 50% of the book was on her relationship with Bryan which to me was a waste🤷🏼♀️. Then Alexei had potential but to me he didn’t fight for what he want I wish he would’ve been stronger I mean he even watches her go on dates come on 🤷🏼♀️then he lets his dad threaten him what was the point of him having his own money ?then and finding so hard to be on his own ?Then Ace was a disappointment in my opinion he only cared about himself he didn’t even have Alexeis back he knew everything and was happy just watching everything go down with no care in the world even on his wedding . No thank you this author was a No for me it had some potential but was disappointing in the end 🚫.

Audrey has been in a monotone relationship w her BF Brian for the last 5 years. She isnt even sure if she loves him any more. When her bestie becomes engaged and she meets her fiance's family she feels the heat and tension with his brother , Alexei ...
A serial bachelor , who doesnt believe in love or relationships , but Audrey gets under Alexei's skin and in his heart., He doesnt know how to react but knows it doesnt make him happy .
there is a tons of drama especially when she finally breaks it off with Brian .. ugh his momma is a piece of work ... after some ups and downs they do get their HEA
Audrey and Alexi have great chemistry and tension and banter! This is a very slow burn - I really liked how we slowly see how much Alexi cares for her. Anyone who has ever been in a toxic relationship before will definitely connect with Audrey and what she goes through.
The character growth in this book was so good! We really see Audrey find her voice and I love how her confidence grows! Oh Alexi, he is all brooding on the outside but falls so hard for her. He has never put anyone else first and I loved how he would do anything to keep her safe.
“I want to see you wild, I want to see you calm, I want to see you in every element. Know I will never make you feel like you can’t authentically be yourself anywhere you are….Do you want to be you? Please, please, always be that.“
I LOVED “The Grannies” and can only hope to be half as bad ass as they are when I am their age!! I also loved the brothers and how protective and accepting they were of Audrey.
