A mistake from her past could end her marriage… and her life.
Iris loves her husband Dave and their marriage couldn’t be better. But the affair she had years ago still torments her.
If Dave found out, he’d never forgive her. It’d be the end of their marriage, and also their careers. Dave and Iris make a living telling couples how to have the perfect marriage. They’d be seen as frauds if people discovered Iris had been unfaithful.
So when her former lover Nick shows up, Iris panics. Is he there to break up her marriage? Ruin her career? Or are his motives more sinister than that?
Nick refuses to give Iris answers as he works his way back into her life. She's left wondering what he’s up to, living in constant fear of what he’ll do next.
Iris thought the past was behind her. She’d moved on with her life. But her secret remains, and now it’s back to destroy her. Maybe even kill her.
A fast-paced psychological thriller perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Daniel Hurst and K.L. Slater.
1. iris: “i’m going to act normal so my husband so he doesn’t suspect something is wrong” also iris: acts so out of character her husband immediately knows something is wrong

Another easy read in a day offering from this author. Dave and Iris present as the perfect married couple. Their business is marriage counseling via podcasts, and live events earn them loads of money. The problem is that Iris has a secret and an obnoxious nosy neighbour, Jane. Iris is also not the brightest when she chooses to confide in the neighbourhood gossip, Jane. Two things are learned from this story. If you don't want anyone to know, don't do it! And, secrets will out. 4 and a half stars.
The Affair is a story of how the guilt over cheating on your spouse can have dire consequences. Iris and Dave are marriage coaches but Iris has a secret, one she is desperate to hide from her husband. They have a very successful growing business in the marriage coaching business. It’s all based on being honest and communicating with your spouse but if Dave finds out about the affair she knows he will divorce her and their careers will fail! Great thriller.
I read another book by this author and the husband was cheating on his wife and got killed in the end. Yet in this book the wife had an affair and the husband ends up being the crazy one (he saw his wife cheating on him and obviously lost his cool) and gets killed? Oh, and she has millions so she will be able to live a comfortable life. F this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book! Even though the pacing felt a bit slow at times and there were moments where not much was happening, it didn't take away from the overall experience. It was a very engaging story that kept me interested until the end. Definitely a solid 4-star read for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book could’ve been half the length if we didn’t repeat the same things over and over again… the first half was a snoozefest and the only thing that kept me reading was others’ reviews about the ending, which was sadly predictable LOL at least it got a little more exciting about 3/4 of the way in… yikes!
I was using this book to "cleanse the palette" from dark romance. At first I was eh with this book keeping it at like a 3/5 rating. It then took a twist and kept me hooked until the end. Solid 4/5. Good read.
Wow! I really enjoyed this book. The twist was somewhat obvious, but I like to remain blissfully unaware to twists, as figuring it out can ruin the book. Reading is all about getting lost in the story, and I was able to do that with this book. Excited to read others by this author!
I really enjoyed this novel. It kept me engaged, interested and entertained. Towards the end, I kept guessing about what the ending would be, but my theory was completely off. I didn’t see what happened coming. It was a truly pleasant read—-
I’ve read several books by this author and the 5-star streak continues. I had several theories as to what was going on but I never did figure it out until the author wanted me to. Highly recommended.
Not enough happened for me in this one and the twist was very obvious. But I liked the ending. This author always ends with a final twist that I didn’t see coming
Wow, a really good book and not the ending. I thought it would be at all. Highly recommend one of those you could just can’t read all day and not put down.
Overall, I enjoyed the storyline and plot. The book was more drawn out than it should have been. I felt like it took forever to get through the book. The book did have a decent twist.
