"We think Sarah Harris is missing."

These words turn 15-year-old Anna Cassidy’s life upside down. Her new friend, Sarah Harris, has disappeared from their bush campsite.

Anna decides there is only one thing to be done – find Sarah herself. And she’ll do it with or without the help of cute Jake Palmer.

But when Anna discovers dark secrets lurking among the trees, her search turns into a frantic struggle to survive.

Although the book is targeted towards teens, I quite enjoyed reading it! I ended up reading this in 2 days as I needed to know what happened.

now, this book is written very young adult (obviously) and i normally love ya mysterys but i dont know. this book just felt very showy, from the get go i could tell what the ending would be and i really dont like that. maybe ive just read so many mystery/thriller books its easy but that really sucked.

also, jake is an adult. anna is a child. are we getting what im putting down? that just makes me feel weird. YES nothing happened but still the undertones were there and it just really grossed me out.

the writing was good, the plot was promising. but alas!

the start was kind of boring and i didnt expect myself to like it much but then things got interesting. amazing quick read and hooked me well. however i feel there was a plothole and correct me if i was wrong but how did jake write the letter with sarahs pen if anna had it?

I understand that this is for around a 14-15 year old audience, but I just found it very predictable and there wasn’t really any character development.
