Perfect for fans of Solo Leveling and Hell’s Paradise.
This hit WEBTOON comic is the story of a man sent back in time by the gods on a mission to prevent the apocalypse . . . this time around.
Zephyr is the last human fighting evil in a world abandoned by the gods. After he is slain by Tartarus, the Demon Lord, all of humanity seems lost. However, much to the sinister amusement of the gods, Zephyr is reincarnated and sent ten years into the past to try and save humanity. Can Zephyr finally have his revenge against Tartarus and save the woman he loves, or is he doomed to repeat the past?
Zephyr continues to hone his magic and martial art skills as he prepares to face the Demon Lord again, in part by working with black market broker White Rose. In order to stop the cult of Tartarus worshippers from kicking off the apocalypse, Zephyr will have to work alongside his old rival and take on an extremely dangerous dungeon raid.
This volume collects episodes 11–24 of the hit WEBTOON comic.
Readers who love epic fantasy and action adventure manwha will love this thoughtful hero’s journey filled with dynamic fight scenes and stunning artwork.
Blue-Deep is a South Korean comic creator (manhwaga) who works with the power of video games, hard rock music, and coffee. The creator launched Doom Breaker on WEBTOON in 2021.
Doom breaker Vol 2 continues with Zephyr continuing to build his skills and magic. He partners with the White Rose who is able to get him new gear and items. While developing his skills, Zephyr takes on more difficult monsters, masters poison, and takes out an old nemesis. He also plants himself into the ranks of Taurtarus worshippers and convinces them to let him take on an extremely dangerous dungeon.
Doom Breaker Vol 2 continued to develop Zephyr's power and skills. I enjoy the minor characters in this book and watching their reactions to Zephyr's ever growing skills. I was hoping to learn more about Zephyr's history in this volume but there wasn't much on that front. In this volume, we got to see him connecting with other Tartarus worshippers and see some of his plans to prevent them from fulfilling their plans.
The artwork is spectacular and was what oroginally drew me into this series. The colors and detail bring this work to life. A great next installment to the series.
Volume two contains episodes 11–20 of the WEBTOON comic Doom Breaker.
Small recap on volume one: Zephyr is the strongest warrior in all the world. However in his last battle fighting Tartarus, the demon lord, He is killed in battle. However, the gods find him "entertaining" and because the gods find very little in humanity entertaining, he is brought back to life and sent ten years into his own past, to try to save humanity. He is left with all of his memories of his past life, but he needs to rebuild his strength and Mana, hes given some favor from the gods to do so.
Volume two picks right up where volume one ends.
Zephyr is working on regaining his skills, strength and mana. While he is working on building him self back up to where he was when he died, he is also laying out a plan for his revenge against Tartarus and that involves gaining new allies and trying to reconnect with old ones. One of his new allies is White Rose, a Nun who also happens to be a broker in the black market. The ally he needs to bring over to his side is also some one who in this life and in last was his enemy, will he be able to gain his trust and gain a very valuable ally? In order to gain an ally and to hopefully put a dent in the plan for Tartus, he must find a way in to a very dangerous raid, and obtain what is in the boss room.
All of volume two builds on volume one and is moving the story forward. I like that the author shows that Zephyr is making changes little by little. Keeping people alive, that would have been gone. Saving villages that no one would have gone to and helped. Helping others get further and stronger and motivating them in hopes they will be prepared for what's to come. The way that zephyrs tone and his actions change through the story and depending on who he is talking to and what his goal is with that specific person and in that environment.
The author does great with letting the reader in on what he is thinking and the reasons behind his actions and the thoughts and reactions of those around him.
As I ended volume two i can definitely see why there is so much hype around the webtoon and its well deserved. This series will appeal to so many readers. The pacing is well done too, you get action and story progression along side character building and world building without to much filler information.
I cant wait to read volume three!
Thank you NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group | WEBTOON Unscrolled for the Digital ARC to review.
I just finished Doom Breaker VOL 2 by Blue-Deep and here are my thoughts.
Zephyr is human… The last one fighting the evil plaguing the earth after the Gods had abandoned it. The war he is fighting comes to an end when he is killed by Tartarus… When all seems lost, Zephyr is reincarnated to save humanity.
Zephyr is working on his martial arts skills and magic… His upcoming battle with the Demon lord is coming and having to work with his old rival to stop the cult of Tatarus is steeped in dangers untold.
I rarely find the next installment of a graphic novel eclipses the first but this one crushed it. Can I just state that the ending was WHATTTTTTT! What an intriguing place to stop and I was silenting screaming for more. Loved the dragon raid, it was so interesting!
I have cemented my love for Zephyr and his character growth was exponential in this volume and watching the changes in his relationship with Altair was a serious highlight!
I whizzed through this volume and I am dying to see what happens next!
Thank you @webtoon and @wattpadbooks for my gifted copy.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a digital ARC from WEBTOON Unscrolled via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Zephyr's journey continues in volume 2 as he builds up his mana and changes his outlook on life with this second chance to right some wrongs. Both the art and the story itself are very detailed, drawing the reader in and ensuring we remain invested. I really enjoy seeing how the characters grow and getting glimpses into a future where we'll meet characters that, if history repeats itself, will become Zephyr's allies and loved ones as well as meeting some of the villains. There's plenty of action and plot development in this volume and I look forward to seeing what happens next!
Doom Breaker, Vol. 2 picks up right where the previous volume left off. Zephyr is trying to regain his skills, mana, and get back to where he was before he was slain. I think volume 2 is all about Zephyr and his character development. This is the time he realizes that he has to do things differently to succeed in defeating the Demon Lord Tartarus. He teams up with his new group of allies and gives them advice and wisdom on the monsters they face. Since he knows what has already happened, he wants them to learn, and in tur,n they help him learn a bit about himself too. Now, will he be able to make his second chance count? I guess we will continue to find out.
This second volume was so good!! I loved meeting the new characters and of course seeing the various monsters to fight.
The story was action-packed and thrilling full of awesome monsters and exciting battle scenes! The artwork was stunning and not to miss as well!
I loved Zephyr and loved seeing his fighting style. I like how he’s going about things and doing his best to change things for the better this time around.
I certainly can’t wait for more!
If you love stories with gods/goddesses, monsters, action packed, high stakes, skill system, interesting side characters, and more then check this one out!
While volume one established the whole premise to this story, allowed us to discover this world and got us a little glimpse of other characters, the second volume really gives side characters more importance and I loved that a lot. I feel like Zephyr has quite a loner vibe after ending up on its own the first time around, but he is open to try things differently and let more people in, which I’m looking forward to.
Expect a lot of epic scenes, grand adventure and breathtaking artwork.
Thanks to Wattpad for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
If you died and were sent back into the past, would you change things? Would you help those you met in your first life? In this story, the main character gets that exact chance. He takes action to prevent the future he just came from and even tries to improve the lives of the people he once knew. There’s a lot happening in this story that keeps you invested and eager to find out what happens next. The art is also really well done, and overall, I truly enjoyed this story.
A huge thank you to WebToon UnScrolled for the free book. All opinions are my own.
This was an exciting second volume of Doom Breaker. I enjoyed learning more about various side characters and their backstories (including ones from our MC's past). I'm also glad that we are beginning to see how Zephyr is using his past life's knowledge to actively make changes in the way he approaches situations. I can't wait to see where this goes!
Doom Breaker, Vol. 2 by Blue-Deep was a solid follow-up to the first volume, with more politics and many more characters introduced. The world is expanding with every chunk of the story read, and it's really very interesting. A big level-up happens in this volume for our main character too. Would recommend fans of Solo Leveling and Tomb Raider King to give it a try.
INSANE place to end a season! Or is that just me? Regardless I really liked it, though a bit less than the first season if I'm being honest. The end of the blue dragon raid was unexpected but pretty interesting. And I liked seeing the evolution of Zephyr and Altair's relationship. 4/5 Stars
Everytime you think "wow it can't get any crazier than that", it does with this one.
The MMC is focused on saving his loved ones this time around and is making sure to not waste anytime preparing himself for the battles he knows are going to take place.
All of the characters are so dynamic and provide a lot to the story. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.
You get: • Graphic Novel • Suspense • Gods/Goddesses • Video Game Esque • Dark Themes • Demons • Monster Hunters
This was such a wild read! Available on paperback.
Reviewed from a digital arc through Net Galley website
In continuation from Volume 1, Zephyr is continuing to build up his mana and abilities in order to become part of the raid on the princess's tomb. He is seen instructing his group on how to fight the various monsters as well as leveling up his gear. Zephyr uses what he knows about the future in order to help influence his path in present day, from how to fight the dangerous monsters as well as using information he has learned from people to manipulate and exploit others.
In reading the first volume, one thing that I noticed was that there wasn't really much complex character development. There wasn't much in personality or characterization to really set Zephyr out. But in this second volume, I think that this was remedied. In helping his fellow warriors, you start to see how Zephyr is maybe starting to care for them and wish that maybe he can help them survive this time around. You see him taking the time to instruct how they fight and how to do things and it really shows that maybe there is more to Zephyr than even he thought. It brings something new to his character in that maybe as he became the last human in the world fighting Tartarus, he was more lonely than he acknowledged and maybe by doing things differently this time around, it will not only gain more soldiers to fight but also more friends. To me, this volume seemed to give more insight into Zephyr and I really hope that this development will continue in the future installments.
