Luna Hayes is a South African Indie author who writes closed door ( 3/4 closed) romance novels. She loves custom bookish themed scented candles and eating way too much chocolate while she writes- usually with a cat on her lap. When she's not writing she's having conversations (in her head) with her characters while milking her goats or watering her garden.
Review "There is someone out there for each of us. Someone who loves us because of how we are, not in spite of it. Don't settle for second best."
Noah is the serious, organized farmer and Hazyl is the fun, care free, a little chaotic 🤭 yoga instructor. Something inadvertently happened and now they're basically stuck with each other. Now they have to navigate the situationship and this lead to all kind of b(z)enefits 😁 ie, someone that cooks for you, an assistant to help with farm duties, a read along buddy and more.
I saw a little bit of me in Hazyl with her love for the moon, sunrise and sunsets and always looking for the positive in a challenging situation.
Noah is so thoughtful and appreciate Hazyl just as she is with querks and all... " 'Thanks, Noah. For seeing me. Probably one of the greatest things is to know you are seen.'."
The people of Lockhart Falls is such a lovely bunch of people making you want to pack up and move there. Luna brought us all the feel good vibes of a Hallmark movie (I edited this while watching a Hallmark movie 🥰) *Side notes mentions* One of the best bands One of the best motion picture songs One of the classic movies.
I really enjoyed this feel-good romance story. It was a pleasure to return back to the lovely community of Lockhart Falls (although this book could be read as a standalone) It was great to catch up with previous characters and to meet Hazyl and Noah as they navigate their enforced married life. They are very different to each other in their natures but they actually make a great couple! (The old adage of opposites attract definitely works for them!) It was wonderful to see their friendship grow and to witness their relationship change from friends to much more. Both characters were very likeable and their will they won’t they situation was very intriguing. Oh my goodness the goats in the story were absolutely adorable! Who wouldn’t want to do a session of yoga with baby goats to keep you company! The animals in the story added an extra element of fun. A delightful romantic story that was entertaining and filled with sweet moments.
Lockhart Falls is a small tight knit community with friends that help each other out. I enjoyed my first visit to Lockhart Falls in book 1, but this time it was even better. I loved the characters, the crazy situation they find themselves in after a drunk night in town and just the whole vibe and all the goats!
Overall this is a feel good story that can be read as a stand-alone story. It made smile a lot and gave me that warm fuzzy feeling. Noah is just the sweetest MMC and Hazyl is just the right kind of different and together they are just great and I was rooting for them immediately. Their relatioinship might have started out fake but I had high hopes for them.
I was really looking forward to reading this book & it didn't disappoint. Its the 2nd one in the Lockheart Falls series, 3rd book by author Luna Hayes. They say opposites attract but these two couldn't be more opposite, she's chaos to his calm, messy to his neat ness. Noah likes routine, Hayzl is free spirited I loved her quirkiness & her Hayzlisms..( I can relate) even down to her fave song and film, Mr Brightside & Dirty Dancing. It all starts in the local for Hayzls birthday, surrounded by her friends& family, lots of alcohol involved & a good time had by all, What could possibly go wrong? You'll have to read the book to find out! highly recommend, loveable characters & relatable situations... Enjoy!
If you're in the market for a feel-good romcom filled with an accidental marriage, goat yoga and Bridgerton references galore, Friends with Zenefits is the book for you. Hazyl and Noah were a treat to get to know, and their slow romance is just chef's kiss 💋
I thought Erin’s and Jamie's story was sweet, but somehow Hazyl and Noah have wormed their way into the top spot. Their story moves quickly, but even though the writing is much more fast-paced compared to book one, it never feels rushed.
Another winner by Luna Hayes, the story follows Hazyl and Noah.
Hazyl is a yoga instructor and Noah runs a farm. On her 33rd birthday, they get drunk and got married. The judge sentenced them to stay in the marriage for 3 months and he's the landlord so he also terminates Hazyl's apartment contract. Forced to move it with Noah, they have to try and make the marriage work.
I enjoyed the small town romance. There wasn't much spice but loved the romance between the two main characters. The side characters supported the story well.
Friends with Zenefits is Book 2 in The Lockhart Falls Series. This is a small-town romance read imbued with love, laughter and fun.
When a drunken mistake leads to serious repercussions - Hazyl and Noah need to work together to undo what they have done.
Their lives intertwine and Hazyl learns about goat farming while Noah learns about yoga. This is a fun and quirky read that kept me engaged and giggling throughout.
I even learned a thing or two about goat farming among other things too.
A sweet, fluffy and lighthearted romance like this is the perfect book to read in one sitting. Between Hazyl and Noah's awkward circumstances and completely different personalities, you will not be able to wait to see what happens next. The originality and fast paced writing of this book was absolutely chef's kiss🥹! Goats, kittens, a chicken and the descriptive setting will draw you into a scenic world🏞️. If you need an escape, add this book to your TBR! 🤭
