That was classic Mills and Boon.
I rarely read romance from the fabled line of the mentioned series.
Still I will say that this book did not disappoint me. The genre kept pace with me throughout with the predictable yet endearing story-line and deft narration.
The steamy and spicy romance that brews up between the girl that seeked revenge and a Business Tycoon, Krish, who is on the lookout for a Marriage of convenience.
For Maya Shome, money is the last thing in her mind. She's an landscape designer by portfolio but her agenda is to destroy the person who brought down her father. As fate would have it Krish is not happy with his bossy and arrogant-laden-persona of his father. He blames him for his mother's demise.
As destiny would have it : Maya Shome's father was driven to ruins by none other than the Krish's dad. KD for short.
Neglect, hatred, bitterness and acrimony pitch in as flowers of this purely business marital bond.
Blinded by their own selfless motives they expect nothing in common with each other. All Maya wills is to serve vengeance in the best of ways! What better than burning the castle from the inside?
It's all planed and plotted to the minutest details these two brains can etch out. Only that their hearts are not in coherence with their supreme minds. Boldness and giving into temptations in the hills sounds fair for the moment. Regret permeates through Maya every time she returns to her sense.
Words stop to flow. They fall for each other, struggle and fight tooth and nail with their inner self to get their heads up to the task in hand.
But do they fail?
Well, even if they do, will you call it failing?
You might run through the darkness
But it's the light at the end that you'll love to love.
The prose gets you going as a style of penning you are hooked on to. Captivating to say the very least.
We are all faulted with cracks within,
Let it be known that that is where the light enters.
The author has an art of divulging details of the scene in a subtle yet beautiful manner.
The symbolism combined with strong hold over the language flow makes it an agreeable read if you are on the lookout for love-hate romance aficionado.

THE INDIAN TYCOON'S MARRAIGE DEAL is a September 2013 release by Mills & Boon India.
First the cover is sort of misleading. The cover image gives the impression that this is a Bollywood movie or a comic type of story. Which it was not!
This is an astounding story of family, betrayal, love, romance...sigh...and ultimately resolution. I loved this story. The heroine, Maya is strong, talented and very honest person. The hero, Krish is gorgeous and fun-loving yet sensitive when he is needed to be!
This was a new to me author but I would definitely be reading her other books. Author Adite Banerji wrote a heart-warming story which would hook you from the first page as you flip pages to get to the end. It is an emotional romance peppered with family values and betrayal.
Highly recommended for all lovers of romance.

I was gifted this book by the author for an honest review.
The author asked me if I would like to read this book and give my opinion on it, good or bad, oh what a risk taker!!! LOL
I sat and read this partly before cooking supper and then after while the family settled down to some TV.
I've never read a Bollywood book before in my life, or about arranged marriages. However, although this was an arranged marriage and I don't know much about the culture I found myself really taken in with the story line. Maya was a very hard working and no no non sense kind of gal, that's how she came across to me.
There's a nice little bit of erotica in there with the pair ending up realizing what they mean to each other, their true value and worth.
I have to say at this point, I don't much like Mills and Boon! I remember it being, he loves her, she loves him, he marries someone else, she looses him and at the end, everything works out and they live happy ever after..............OMG was I in for a shock and a double take when I read this!
This is nothing like the Mills and Boon I remember.

Engrossing one day read
This book is my first read by this author. The story plot of the book is usual, but the characters' background, events of the book are unique, which makes it an incredible choice to read, twists and turns remain until the end and give us a thrilling experience.
I like to read different professional background characters, and this book has many more of that. This book has a family history, betrayal, and scenes that make you fall in love. The description of childhood trauma because of her family issues is so good that I feel her grief and pain.
Maya and Krish's one tango tangled them in their life and experienced one fearful feeling. Both of them have their priorities. But living with each other not only changes their emotions but much more than that.
The magic of writing style is so good that it doesn't let you go until you finish the book. The end of the book is different from what I presume and unique in a way. There aren't many intimate scenes, more focused on the plot, yet you can't say it was less romantic. Maya and Krish are a perfect couple. A fantastic one sitting read.

I simply loved this book. There are so many twists and turns that it makes it interesting at every step. The character portrayal is awesome.

I would like to thank author Adite Banerjie for granting me a copy of this e-book to read in exchange for an honest review. Though I received this e-book for free that in no way impacts my review.
Krish and Maya are entertaining characters, even though they felt a little flat to me. While both had appealing aspects, and they appear to have off-the-charts chemistry, they seemed to be moving on warp-speed through their emotions.
It's clear that Krish is a man who expects things his way, for all that he rails against his father's behavior. On the other side of the scale is Maya, with her laser-like focus on her goals in life, or more specifically, her one goal in life. Yet in the brief time they know each other their personalities undergo substantial changes. For me these changes happened far too quickly, lacking a realistic timeline for them to happen within. Plus, they aren't the only characters to undergo radical personality shifts with minimal influence in such a short amount of time.
The question Maya faces is if she can let go of the one thing that's kept her moving forward for the past several years. While Krish's issue is how far he's willing to go to get out from under his father's domineering thumb. While they are busy trying to escape their pasts will they be able to see what they have in each other, before it's too late?
While an enjoyable romance, I am sorry to say that there was nothing in this book that made it really stand out for me. It seemed to follow the traditional romance formula, just at hyper-speed. That's not to say that it doesn't make for a nice afternoon escape and lift you out of your own concerns and worries. It simply lacks that something special that is necessary to make the story really jump out at me. But, by the same token, it makes for a great beach book!

I fell in love with Bollywood movies some years before leaving Germany, and I got to know a lot about Indian daily soaps after living in Sri Lanka. That’s why the title and blurb—and of course that tempting excerpt—immediately caught my attention. “The Indian Tycoon’s Marriage Deal” by Adite Banerjie sounded like something I’d enjoy… and enjoy it I did, a lot!
Whether that is thanks to my partly Asian roots or not, I do like stories that are impossibly big and drip emotion and tragedy from every page. This book promises exactly that, but delivers much more, too. One of the things I loved most about the story is the strong-willed, independent heroine. Maya isn’t just beautiful, but also successful in her job and aware of what she wants from her life. If you scratch the shiny surface, you’ll find wounds and scars, but also tons of strength and intelligence. This is no meek heroine that gets thrown around like a ball, although her enemies are powerful and crafty. Sure, she falls for the handsome hero who inevitably steals her heart, but she never loses her head or herself in the process.
At first I was a little skeptical that it might turn out to be a stereotypical read, because the idea of the tycoon’s son, his devil of a father and the instant fire of attraction between the protagonists is nothing new—however, I like the details that give the story depth and show how much the author is a master of her writing. You’ll find that the hunky hero Krish is more than charm, wealth, power and confidence. Look out for the bond he shares with his mother, and for his very own environmental projects. Then there’s the heroine’s unusual job, her painful past—and let’s not forget the entertaining, well thought-out supporting cast.
This book has played out in my mind much like the Bollywood movies and Hindi dramas mentioned before, which shouldn’t surprise me because the author is also a screenwriter. Adite Banerjie manages to focus on great themes like revenge, marriage, love, guilt, regret, greed and hunger for power, yet still leave room for personal development. I was satisfied with the transformation undergone by both protagonists, and of course the Happily Ever After has left me with a glowing satisfaction.
These two lessons I took away from the book: Forgiveness is the key your happiness. Love will find a way.

A suave tycoon, who exudes power, makes you go weak in the knees and dances like a pro! What more could a girl ask for? Krish Dev a true blue Harlequin Hero personified!
Maya is beautiful, intelligent and knows her mind – a handful for any guy!
Well for starters Maya wants revenge and as she falls in line with Krish‘s plan she is left wanting the real deal – true love. The story flows at a steady pace and keeps the chain of events unfolding and keeps you guessing for the next sizzle.
The novel has all the perfect ingredients to delight the readers and lovers of romance. The plus point of the story is being set in India; Adite has done full justice to describing the stunning natural beauty of India. She does it beautifully whether the bustling capital city or the smaller towns.
Nothing beats reading about romance set in our own county; I had been dreaming about having an Indian hero romancing a lady in my own city and she has managed to write it exquisitely.
The conflict, the intimacy and the passion is expressed simply and it meshes with the story line. Two strong and self-made characters find love but not without a few twists and turns! The author sure knows how to keep the reader hooked!!
Adite has since had the release of her second novel “Trouble Has A New Name” by Mills & Boon and I look forward to reading the next one. She is slowly but surely making a place in the hearts of romance lovers who will wait for the release of her next book.

This book is everything I expected from a Mills & Boon title and more.
I instantly fell in love with the headstrong Maya Shome and loved that she didn't play a typical 'damsel in distress' as our Indian heroines are sometimes depicted to be.
Even though this book is a part of Indian Authors collection, it has potential for international markets as well since Banerjie captured the urban Indian setting really well.
The plot was full of twists and turns taking the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride and it was a quick, easy and pleasant read.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it to Romance lovers.

When I read the blurb of An Indian Tycoon's Marriage Deal, I kinda knew what to expect. Or so I thought. There are unexpected twists in the story that keep you glued to it, the mix of love and angst with dollops of sizzling chemistry make you want to finish the story in a single sitting. Maya and Krish both have a troubled past. Adite has told a sweet story about how they come to grips with the baggage they bring to the marriage. An Indian Tycoon's Marriage Deal has all the sweet mush and hot attraction that one wants from the genre.

Maya Shome is unusual in that she’s a landscape designer in India! Not only does she have talent she also carries baggage. She’s dealing with the traumatic death of her alcoholic father and intent on exacting revenge from the man she deems responsible. And the man is KD, whose son Krish Dev announces he’s going to marry Maya just to spite his father.
Born with a couple of silver spoons in his mouth, Krish Dev wants nothing more than to break out on his own but cannot because of his father’s manipulations. He marries Maya unaware she has a hidden agenda of her own.
After a bit of to and fro and misconceptions and falsehoods, there is a HEA.
Bannerjie paints a vivid picture of the landscape and the life of the filthy rich in India. She depicts Mayas obsessions with beautiful clarity: landscape designing and dancing. Her descriptions of the scenery is so vivid, I can see the flowers blooming on the bare gulmohur trees. Apart from flitting POVs, Destiny’s girl is dramatic and has a starry flair to it. Destiny’s Girl is a story of Maya and Krish. I liked the way the author has treated the age’s old story of fake relationship or a contract marriage with generous sprinkles of sizzling chemistries and love scenes. The love scenes were portrayed with commanding expertise. Even the dialogues and descriptions were vivid. Ms. Banerjee has done a remarkable job in capturing the beauty of the capital city and describing the culture and people of Delhi. However, at times, the read felt monotonous and routine. The story felt predictable and corny with a routine set of romantic clichés.
The language and the vocabulary usage showed Ms. Banerjee’s commanding grasp over the language. The English lexicon used by the author often made me feel like I was reading some classic literature. Indeed, from a literary point of view, Destiny’s Girl checks all the boxes. However, the plot could be made a bit tighter and the story could be made a little more interesting with some unexpected twists and turns.
That said, it was a fun read with some very well crafted love scenes, vivid descriptions, and smooth dialogues that any romance lover would love to read.

hat happens when a rich, hot business tycoon meets a spunky landscape designer–each with their own agenda?
Sparks fly, of course!
Destiny’s Girl is an enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance that has business deals and horticultural innovations in the backdrop. If this sounds strange to you, let me assure you that it’s a unique setting that will keep you riveted.
Maya hates Krish’s father, KD, with a vengeance because he drove her quiet father to death. How and why this happened is gradually revealed throughout the story.
Luck seems to be on Maya’s side as she finds a foothold in KD’s home through Krish. This happens when Krish demands that Maya get married to him immediately in exchange for a luxury-filled life. The reason for this strange request is also revealed later.
There’s a lot of focus on the calculating, untrusting, and manipulative nature of Krish but we also get to see his sensitive side. Apparently, he does have a heart and it beats for someone special.
KD’s history is murky. He is manipulative, controlling, and unscrupulous and will stop at nothing to achieve his ends, including forcing his own son’s hand. Towards the end of the story, he appears to have a change of heart after a severe blow to his ego. But it is not convincing enough for me. In my experience, such people do not change and prefer to live in their delusional world until the day they die.
It is Maya for whom I feel the most. Trapped by Krish’s machinations, she is left with no choice but to comply with his wishes. It’s sad to see the extraordinary power the super-rich have over the fate of people they choose to crush and manipulate.
Nevertheless, Krish and Maya appear to discover that each is wearing a mask to hide past trauma. They uncover what ails each other and set upon a journey to bury their demons once and for all. Throughout the journey, we are treated, by turns, to passionate displays of affection, tender conversations, anger, jealousy, frustration, and hate.
Destiny’s Girl is a whirlwind of emotions that makes you feel breathless by the time you’re done with the book. Of course, I was rooting for Krish and Maya to resolve their differences, be honest with each other, and bond.
Solid research seems to have been put in to make the world of corporate deals, mergers, negotiations, and power play seem realistic. I was impressed by the amount of knowledge the author shared about business matters.
A word of caution: the book has several intimate scenes so if you aren’t comfortable with them, this may not be for you.
Finally, why is the title Destiny’s Girl?
Krish believes it is destiny that has led Maya to him. Destiny has brought KD’s past sins to the fore. Destiny has played its hand subtly in the background, pulling strings and moving characters around till they reach where they’re meant to be.

Destiny’s Girl is an enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance that has business deals and horticultural innovations in the backdrop. If this sounds strange to you, let me assure you that it’s a unique setting that will keep you riveted.
Maya hates Krish’s father, KD, with a vengeance because he drove her quiet father to death. How and why this happened is gradually revealed throughout the story.
Luck seems to be on Maya’s side as she finds a foothold in KD’s home through Krish. This happens when Krish demands that Maya get married to him immediately in exchange for a luxury-filled life. The reason for this strange request is also revealed later.
There’s a lot of focus on the calculating, untrusting, and manipulative nature of Krish but we also get to see his sensitive side. Apparently, he does have a heart and it beats for someone special.
KD’s history is murky. He is manipulative, controlling, and unscrupulous and will stop at nothing to achieve his ends, including forcing his own son’s hand. Towards the end of the story, he appears to have a change of heart after a severe blow to his ego. But it is not convincing enough for me. In my experience, such people do not change and prefer to live in their delusional world until the day they die.
It is Maya for whom I feel the most. Trapped by Krish’s machinations, she is left with no choice but to comply with his wishes. It’s sad to see the extraordinary power the super-rich have over the fate of people they choose to crush and manipulate.
Nevertheless, Krish and Maya appear to discover that each is wearing a mask to hide past trauma. They uncover what ails each other and set upon a journey to bury their demons once and for all. Throughout the journey, we are treated, by turns, to passionate displays of affection, tender conversations, anger, jealousy, frustration, and hate.
Destiny’s Girl is a whirlwind of emotions that makes you feel breathless by the time you’re done with the book. Of course, I was rooting for Krish and Maya to resolve their differences, be honest with each other, and bond.
Solid research seems to have been put in to make the world of corporate deals, mergers, negotiations, and power play seem realistic. I was impressed by the amount of knowledge the author shared about business matters.
A word of caution: the book has several intimate scenes so if you aren’t comfortable with them, this may not be for you.
Finally, why is the title Destiny’s Girl?
Krish believes it is destiny that has led Maya to him. Destiny has brought KD’s past sins to the fore. Destiny has played its hand subtly in the background, pulling strings and moving characters around till they reach where they’re meant to be.

While browsing the kindle, chanced upon this gem. My debut read of this wonderful author. A beautiful, intense revenge turned love saga, this story portrays the passion of Maya and Krish who get into a contract marriage for hidden agendas. The chemistry between the leads is written so well and the way both of them start to fall in love with each other is so seamless. Crackling chemistry, awesome dialogues, beautiful visuals that describe the horticulture industry, this is a book well read. Enjoy it guys.

And this is Krish Dev: dark, dancing eyes set in a face that was all sharp angles, framed by thick cropped hair; a deep cleft that dented his chin and a lopsided sexy smile.
He calls her a lavender rose, exotic and rare. She is intrigued by his flamboyant demeanour and his sassy banter. They meet at a party held in the glittering ballroom of New Delhi’s spanking new seven-star hotel, The Dev Residency, part of a conglomerate run by Krish’s father Kamalkant Dev, better known as KD. But the truth is, Maya Shome is far too nice to be a negative character. Oh, she has human instincts, naturally. But she stops short of doing actual harm. She engages our sympathy from the outset with her sad story, which actually brought tears to my eyes. And Krish, the hero? The handsome international playboy who pursues Maya, he wins us over by his wish to make his own life and not just to live in the shadow of his powerful father. That’s why he finds his own bride, instead of sitting back and letting his father use the most important relationship of his life as a career move. Multi-talented Maya, as well as being a talented landscape designer is also a qualified dance teacher, a skill which comes in handy when she first meets Krish. The two end up tearing up the floor with a killer tango performance, making it clear to all present, including the girl to whom Krish’s father is trying to betroth him, that the pair of them belong together. End. Of. Story.
But of course, it’s not really the end of the story. Once married to the powerfully attractive man who Krish is, Maya must now execute her revenge plan in right earnest. But how can she do it? She finds it difficult to lie to him as she is pulled deeper and deeper into love. What can Maya do? And will Krish succeed in escaping his father’s powerful clutches and get out into the world to pursue his own destiny?
This story will draw you in and give you a couple of hours of pleasure and ultimate closure. It’s a perfectly written story which is also a perfect example of why readers the world over enjoy Mills & Boon novels. Because they draw you out of the humdrum everyday realities and give you a good time. Whether the reader is Indian or not, this story will certainly strike a chord with romance readers.
If I took anything away from this book, it’s the lesson that we have no control over our origins, but we have a lot of control over where we go in the future. The choice is ours, to decide whether we end up bitter – or better.

The Indian Tycoon’s Marriage Deal by Adite Banerjie is a Mills and Boons saga which will keep you glued till the end. The book highlights the motive of revenge, marriage, betrayal and love.
Cover- The cover like other Mills and Boons is fabulous and includes an image of intimacy which is required of it.
Title- The title is straight to the point and the whole story’s theme is delineated in this. It gives us a clear cut idea about the motive of the author.
Plot- The plot is gripping and revolves around Krish is the son of a tycoon and he is trying to avoid the marriage which is based on a business deal.Maya is a landscape gardener whose father became an alcoholic after he lost his job and his wife (Maya’s mother) was killed. She holds Krish’s father responsible, although Krish doesn’t know any of this.
Life takes a turn when opportunist Maya comes across Krish and in the party he asks her to marry her. They both have their purposes for which they agree to marry. BUt destiny has some other plans for them.
Theme- The story revolves around revenge motive. This is the evident theme in the novel where Maya wants to avenge the murderer of her mother and her father’s bad state. She hates Krish and her father to the core of her heart for which she agrees to marry Krish.
The theme of love can also be noticed as the way Maya and Krish click each other is mind blowing. They have a connection but both deny till the end.
Characterisation- The most impressive part about the authoris the way she has portrayed her characters. Maya is an interesting character who has solution for everything be it her work or anything else. SHe is a multitasker and teh way she handles her life is impeccable but she carries a grief and hatred in her heart. When she comes to know that Krish is her enemy’s son, she accepts his offer and tried to avenge him but soon destiny plays its role and things change forever. Whereas Krish is opposite his father who doesn’t approve his decisions but he has to obey him because of the boundations. The way he comes across Maya and asks her to marry him is wierd but when she agrees to it, sounds more wierd. He is money minded but deeply attached to his mother.
Style- The style of writing is simple, lucid and has brevity in it. The way the author has used descriptions be it of a landscape, house or anything, are just impressive. The use of third person narrative and use of epistolar technique in between is enthralling. The editing is also fine but the story seems predictable and might be a hinderance if anyone guesses it before. Overall, it is a contemporary romance challenging the old notions of novel writing.

I was on a long hiatus from the Mills & Boon romances and I had never read a Mills & Boon book by an Indian author, so when I picked up Adite Banerje’s Indian Tycoon’s Marriage Deal I was pretty excited to read the book. As I started reading the book I started falling in Love with the characters.
Krish ‘s heart is looking for escape, an escape from his father’s ways and his grand plans for his business without consideration for his son. The only way for Krish is to marry a girl of his choice and he chooses Maya Shome. To avoid becoming a business deal for his father he decides to make a deal of his own. Maya’s heart is looking for revenge, for she blames KD for all the problems in her life and also for her father’s death. When the Krish approaches her with a marriage deal, she sees this as a perfect opportunity to seek revenge on his father. Maya agrees to Krish’s deal and marries him.
When the two hearts meet though, love blossoms. The hearts fight its presence, but eventually the heart gets what the heart wants. When romance blooms, Maya knows that she cannot give into her heart’s desire, because if Krish knew her reason to make the deal and her deception he would never accept her. What follows is twists and turns down the road that leads to the heart getting what it wants. What would Mills & Boon be without its happy ending!!!!
The characters of the book are well thought out and lovable. Adite has, etched out Maya and Krish so well and has portrayed the conflict between their hearts and minds beautifully. The descriptions of the places and the scenes and emotions are so poetic; the poet in me just loved reading that. The romance and the interactions between Maya and Krish again develop really well all through the book.
I would rate the book 4 on 5 stars as I absolutely loved it. It is a perfect romantic read for anyone looking for a good romantic book. I am glad that this was the book that introduced me to Indian Mills & Boon Romances and looking forward to read many more.

The Indian Tycoon's Marriage Deal is a great read, being from England I loved ben transporte into the rich culture and landscape of India, not only that but finding two fabulous characters. Krish & Maya both struggle with their pasts, Krish the son of KD a fierce, unforgiving business man who wreaks havoc and shatters lives. With only vengeance on her mind Maya is driven to seek KD and make sure he gets what he deserves for what he did to her family, but Krish puts up one hell of a hurdle when he proposes (quite literally) the marriage deal.
With explosive chemistry that's undeniable the pairs plan to keep the marriage business only is just not happening.
I enjoyed this book, I really did, the characters secrets and pain revealed themselves slowly as you progress through the book, reaching the plots climax where the characters must take the leap and grab what they love and treasure most in the world. Love, vengeance and forgiveness you do really get a sample of all emotions.

First Thanks to Adite for bringing such a exciting book to us... It was lovely to read it... You just cant leave the book half read to do some work...
The thing i most loved were that the spinning was realistic. Marriage of convenience but its element were realistic, Krish and Maya!!! I wish they could go on forever... :) You could actually imagine them body and soul while you read the book...
The story is fast paced and you are always eager to know what happens next...
Has some interesting Bollywood elements [Bollywood Masala] in it... All in All i Thoroughly enjoyed it... ;) Thanks again...

Maya Shome, stunning and with an agenda, meets Krish. What she doesn't know that he also has a nefarious plan of his own. Two protagonists with tumultuous past come together for an engaging, sizzling happy ending.
I have read all the books by Adite and I found this story the best one. It has all the ingredients to keep one turning the pages. And I just love the cover. A recommended read for all romance lover.

It's a romantic saga filled with revenge and hatred..
The story is full of romance and love is on the high.
The plot weakens when it waivers into the past courtesy lack of details.
The command over the language is appreciable and some nature details are exquisite to read.
The excitement fizzles out with a plain end.
Overall a good story..

I loved reading Mills & Boons during my college years and Adite's book made me nostalgic for that time. Strong leads, a revenge led story and a contract marriage, it has all the elements required to entertain you. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Destiny's child is one fast-paced super fast romance story between Maya and Krish. Absolute balance of romance and suspense with hot sizzling chemistry between the protagonist.

I read this book a while back. Having cut my teeth on Harlequin romance when I was a teenager, an Indian Harlequin threw me back to good old days. The story was fun, loved Adite's writing. The hero inspired so many of my fantasy short stories... what do I say! Give it a read.
