Marc meets the perfect gem of a boy, except for one thing: Foster has no idea that Marc's a Daddy. Foster is a shy, twenty-six-year-old man who was dumped by his cheating ex after he moved halfway across the country. When "Daddy" Marc appears in his life, the forty-two-year-old therapist sees someone who struggles with insecurity and is at a crossroads in his life. Marc is delighted to discover that they both share a love of antiques. That might be a big common ground for them, but there's definitely something that isn’t. Foster is a hundred percent vanilla and has no clue that Marc is a "Daddy". Will Club Sensation play an unexpected role in bringing them together? Or will Marc show him that being taken care of by a loving Daddy is what he was made for... This story of "Daddy" Marc and his boy, Foster is an interesting exploration of what is, even in the kink world, a fairly unconventional relationship.... but it does exist and who has any right to say if it's right or wrong as long as the participants engaging are adults? Marc is a seasoned participant of the kink world, but Foster was so new that he almost squeaked. The book is not just a romance story but a story of understanding and accepting who and what you are. It won't be for everyone, even those that read and love M/M Romance novels. That said...we meet "Daddy" Marc and his boy, Foster...but it wasn't an especially easy road to get there.
I have read so many offerings by Morticia Knight. From the very start, for better or worse, she draws the reader into whatever "kink world" she's writing about. There are many different levels of partnership to "Daddy/boy" relationships and Monica Knight has chosen well with Marc and Foster. She always chooses her characters carefully and always offers them the chance for that 'happy ever after" that romance readers of any genera want for their "people".
Marc was from the start portrayed as confident and caring. He knew what he wanted/needed and wasn't in the least afraid to pursue it. Marc wasn't "playing a part"; it was WHO and WHAT he was. He lived it every day in everything that he did. None of that was true when it came to Foster. He could only be described as a gem that was waiting to be discovered. His total innocence and lack of awareness is what added the most intrigue to the story. Morticia Knight skillfully maneuvered his transformation allowing us to witness the chemistry, the growing trust, and the attraction between the Daddy and his boy. The results was a beautiful story showing that the power of love can and does, transcend what is considered to be social norms, and can heal and transform.
No matter how you feel about the lifestyle, this story will be a worthwhile, rewarding read that will leave a lasting impression.
It feels like there's something missing from the story. Literally, in the middle of chapter nine, there's a jump in time with no spacing between paragraphs. I spent way too much time backtracking and flipping ahead to figure out what was going on.
To be fair, the meet-cute is sweet, and I do appreciate the details given about the community and type of relationship Marc is hoping that Foster will be willing to try. And, yeah, the last scene is spicy...literally and figuratively. Unfortunately, the timeline was too fractured for me to enjoy the story.
Daddy Marc’s Gem is the second book in the ‘Club Sensation’ series. It stars Foster, an antique seller, and Marc, a Daddy and therapist. This is told in third person from Foster and Marc’s povs.
First the cover. I like it. It’s a simple black and white with a spot of cover. Also, it doesn’t show the cover model’s complete face so it’s easier to imagine that this is Marc.
The blurb does a good job of describing the plot so I’ll only add a little to it. I liked how the two men met, all because of Foster’s dog. They were attracted to each other, and they both had a love of antiques. However, before they did any more dating, Marc wanted to tell Foster about the BDSM lifestyle he’s in and how he’s a Daddy. The plot is mostly about Foster learning about the lifestyle, Marc explaining about it, and then lots of sex. I would’ve liked more action when it came to their shared love of antiques, and how Foster agreed to sell items at a show in Boston. That subplot was left dangling. I would’ve liked to see Foster set up another business after his current circumstances didn’t work out. The pace is slow without much conflict, and any problems are easily solved. There’s a lot of monologue, which is common in this author’s writings.
I liked Marc and Foster. They had distinct voices which were consistent throughout the story. Foster was insecure about his abilities and choices. He also had trouble making up his mind. His ex was emotionally and mentally abusive towards Foster which made Foster even more insecure. Foster knew nothing about the BDSM lifestyle until Marc explained it to him. Marc was confident and was attracted to Foster immediately. Foster’s personality called to Marc to care for him. Which is exactly what Marc wanted to do as a Daddy, so they fit together well. I could believe in them as a couple.
Daddy Marc’s Gem is a pleasant, no angst read. There was too much monologue for me, and some scenes could have been filled out more. I’d consider this to be BDSM light since the men were mostly delving into a Daddy/boy relationship. Although Marc started to introduce a little kinkier BDSM towards the end. I give this book, 3 Stars.

When Foster is abandoned by his ex in a new town with no friends, he finds it hard to know what to do. Making decisions is hard for him, he has always been put down by his exes and made to believe he is too needy and less than. When he meets Marc when he stops to look at some of the antiques at his yard sale, there is something calming and soothing about the man, making Foster feel cared for and seen. The more time they spend together, the more sure Marc is that Foster could be the boy he has been looking for for so long. But Marc is a Daddy, and he doesn’t know how much Foster knows about Daddies, or even if that is something he would like to explore. The deeper they get into exploring the lifestyle and what it means the more likely it becomes that this match is meant to be.
I have read several books with the BDSM lifestyle and the Daddy/boy dynamic, and I think this one does more to describe the lifestyle and the belief system behind it than any other I have come across. I say this as a reader on the outside looking in, with no real personal experience in any aspect of the BDSM lifestyle, but the explanations in this book made sense to me, and I could definitely see the appeal to a segment of the population looking for a way to give up control of the myriad of things in our lives today that increase stress and anxiety, letting choices be taken care of someone trusted who is loving and caring, invested in the well-being of the other person. I had a very positive feeling about Marc and Foster’s ongoing relationship, feeling each had found what they craved in the other to happily move forward into the future. Granted, nothing is given or promised, but this seemed to have a solid basis moving forward for a life partnership. It is one I would recommend to other readers looking at the Daddy/boy dynamic, with the care and protection of the partner as important, if not more so, than the sexual encounters. 5 solid stars from me.

Marc is lonely. He hasn’t had a boy of his own for a long time and he is starting to think it might never happen. Foster is in a pickle. His former boyfriend convinced him to close his business and move across the company and then dumped him. Now he’s struggling to pay the bills and stay afloat. The two of them meet by accident but the spark is immediate. Are their interests compatible? Can they make something out of nothing? Marc is friends with Master Zane. Zane appears a lot in this story because his friendship is key to Marc and Foster taking a chance on love. I like that Marc is willing to keep trying to find someone that matches his interests and needs. He was very kind and patient with Foster. I would have liked to know more about him but it was necessary for this story. Foster broke my heart. He was treated so badly by his former boyfriend. The author did a good job showing the abuse Foster suffered and his strength dealing with it. The author created a character with an innocence and kindness that felt real. I ended the story understanding why these two men would be together in a relationship. There isn’t a bad guy like there are in some stories. Foster’s ex is an obvious candidate for the bad guy in the story. I think it’s more apt to call him the jerk in the story. The aftermath of the serial killer from the prior story is still playing out in this story. This story takes place in Massachusetts. Marc is older and well established in his life. Foster gave up his business to move and plans to open a new antiques shop as soon as he has the capital. Neither man needs the other but they are better together. This is a MM love story that includes graphic adult activities. I will read more from this author in the future.
Marc is lonely but it is something he will only confess to his closest friend, Zane, owner of Club Sensation. They've been close for a long time and since moving to Boston to set up his practice Marc has been counselling many of the Clubs members. But he wants a boy of his own to love and care for.
Foster is alone in Boston, well he does have his beautiful dog Dolly who can, on occasion be a little too enthusiastic with new friends. He was meant to be here with his boyfriend and opening his own antique shop. His cheating ex left him, now he is reduced to a garage sale.
The same Sunday that Marc confesses his feelings to Zane he decides to go antique browsing rather than home. And that is how he meets the cute and shy Foster. The trouble is Marc can immediately see that Foster knows nothing about the lifestyle, though he doesn't appear unwilling to explore, just shy and nervous. Will they find a way to open up to one another without too many misinterpretations? Will Foster realise that the one thing he has been truly longing for comes in the form of a Daddy, comes in the form of Marc? Can Marc follow his own advice and find a way to show Foster how committed to caring he truly is?
A beautiful story, low angst, well written so that readers who are as unfamiliar as Foster with the scene get a true understanding and insight. We also get to see some of the characters from book 1 once more and it feels as though we are coming back to family. A truly sparkling gem.
DADDY MARC'S GEM is the second novella in the Club Sensations series. Marc is a therapist and a Daddy, but a lonely one as he hasn't found his boy. Foster is an antiques dealer/restorer without a shop, in a place where he doesn't know anyone and was isolated before being dumped.
I loved how these two met and how it grew naturally. Foster has questions and needs answers before deciding - which is fair enough, in my opinion. Foster is also a sweetheart who has been dumped on by too many people and needs the love and affection Marc is more than happy to bestow on him.
Tate's story (Born Daddy) is mentioned during a conversation between Marc and Zane, who also makes an appearance with Ryan while Ty is only mentioned, so you don't need to have read book one to enjoy this one.
A short read but one I thoroughly enjoyed. Hot and spicy in places; loving, tender, and protective in others. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me.

“I’m lonely, Zane. Achingly, overwhelmingly lonely. I never anticipated I would reach middle age and have no one. And not that I need to tell you this but being a Dom— a Daddy— means that the emptiness is even more pronounced... it’s not the same as having someone to care for, to hold at night…” He swallowed past a lump in his throat. “To love.”
I really loved this book. It was a really sweet Daddy/boy romance- with a boy unfamiliar with the lifestyle, so I enjoyed that refreshing aspect of the story. I loved both [Daddy] Marc and Foster. Both were very lonely. Marc not having met a boy he connected with and was lonely enough to consider looking for someone outside the lifestyle even if it wasn't entirely what he needed. Foster has been hurt and burned by exes, and is a bit embarrassed by how he could get flustered or overwhelmed making decisions. I loved how he and Marc met at Foster's yard sale (thank you excited messy Dolly!). It was the perfect meet cute and their chemistry was instant. Foster's thoughts made me cackle! These two were so cute together and I was hooked to their story. 5 stars.
This is book 2 in the Club Sensations series. I feel it can be read as a standalone read. This is the story of Marc and Foster. Marc is a 42 year old therapist who is also a Daddy. He is disappointed that he hasn't found the right boy for him and fears that he never will. Foster is a sweet and shy 26 year old. He moved here with his boyfriend who continually tore him down emotionally and then finally walked out on him. He is still reeling with the abrupt change and trying to put the pieces of his life back together. The two meet over a love of antiques. Marc immediately knows that Foster needs guidance and love and that he wants to be the one to provide it. Just one small hiccup. He has to explain the daddy/boy lifestyle to Foster and see if he is interested in pursuing that. This is their story. This is a very sweet story. There is no angst to speak of. The book is written well and is easy to read. I enjoyed the book.

audio update John Solo does a brilalnt job in making these men more real. you feel their individuality, and Marcs need to protect and make Foster the stronger man he deserves to be. well done overall, no mix ups with two main characters, so able to stay engaged with the story.
Marc is becoming lonely and starting to lose hopMorticiae finds the perfect boy to fit his lifestyle. Foster, having moved recently to Boston to find out his partner was using him and showing his authority by getting him to do as he wished without question, leaves Foster hesitant in a power exchange relationship. With the gentle guidance of Marc, he sees the truth and begins the slow healing process of allowing himself to try a true power dynamic relationship that has balance. Marc allows Foster to slowly adjust to the situation with a strong emphasis on why safewords are needed and adhered to.
Morticia shows she understands power dynamics and how it is good for all parties to have what is needed for a healthy and stable relationship. These two show with open communication they can try something real and be happier than either imagined possible.
Sweetly comforting. Foster, moves across the country to be with the man, Edward he thought was his forever one. He brought his antiques he planned to jointly open an antique shop with Edward. He suffers from obsessive anxiety and struggles to make decisions. Edward pushes him into a new category by abandoning hm. Marc is a therapist who is feeling his lonliness and who has a keen interest in antiques. They meet when Foster is selling his inventory. Marc, recognizes a 'Boy' but doesn't think Foster recognizes much less is aware of the lifestyle, much less that Marc is a Daddy.Excellent story of discovery, acceptance, moving on and finding comfort. Delightful characters. Nicely done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Marc finds an ideal match in Foster, a wonderful boy, but there's a potential hurdle—Foster doesn't know Marc's a Daddy. Marc faces the uncertainty of whether Foster will accept this revelation or run from it. He hopes to show Foster that the care and love from a devoted Daddy may be exactly what Foster truly needs.
This was a sweet story of how Marc was the supportive partner Foster needed he just needed to introduce him to his lifestyle. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a DBSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.
In the second installment of the Club Sensation series, Morticia Knight crafts a heartfelt tale of discovery and acceptance. Marc, a seasoned Daddy with a penchant for vintage treasures, encounters Foster, a young man whose innocence and charm captivate him instantly. Their shared passion for antiquities becomes the foundation of a relationship that challenges both to confront their desires and vulnerabilities. The author skillfully navigates the nuances of a hurt/comfort dynamic and an age-gap romance, delivering a narrative rich in emotional depth and authenticity.

This is a sweet and sexy read that pulls you in right from the start. I enjoyed being along for the ride with Marc and Foster. It was nice to see Foster get to find himself and be open to the lifestyle that Marc lives. The two certainly fit well together and it was nice to see the men figure out how they fit together. Foster could use someone like Marc in his life and it was nice to see how Marc shows Foster what a true partner is like. These two are great characters and their story makes a nice addition to the Club Sensation world.

I absolutely loved this, not only are we back to Club Sensation with Zane but Morticia has excelled herself with this book. A beautifully written storyline where Marc who counsels many of the Clubs members wants his own boy to care for and love. When he meets Foster he realises that he is perfect for him but is completely unaware of the lifestyle. The relationship development between them was paced perfectly and built stage by stage allowing Foster (and the reader) to understand the elements to a Daddy/Boy relationship. So glad they worked through everything as they were perfect for each other I received a free arc copy and this is my honest review
"I've been walking on eggshells my whole life...I'm not sure I know how to behave any other way."
Best thing about this book is Foster. I just adored him. I wanted more than anything for him to find the right man who would guide and encourage him and make him see how wonderful he is.
I liked Marc alot, too. All he wanted was to find his person, the one who was right for him, so he could love him and take care of him.
These two were pretty perfect for each other. Despite their instant connection they still took the time to get to know each other. Their love story just leaves you with a smile on your face, happy everything worked out right.
I absolutely loved this book! Morticia Knight always nails the emotional depth in kink-centered romances, and Daddy Marc’s Gem is no exception. The dynamic between Marc and Foster felt so natural and full of genuine care—it’s not just spicy, it’s heartfelt.
The hurt/comfort vibes were strong, and the age-gap + newbie boy angle added such sweetness to their connection. Watching Foster discover what it means to be cherished and safe as someone's boy was just beautiful.
Another amazing addition to the Club Sensation series—I can’t wait to read the next one!.

Marc has almost given up on finding his perfect boy when he meets Foster. The shy, sweet man instantly awakens all his daddy instincts.
Foster can hardly believe that this attractive man is actually interested in him. After a terrible break-up, he takes courage again for the first time.
The way the two men complement each other is so heartwarming.
John Solo has interpreted the story very well. I broke out in a 🥵 more then once!
This is pretty basic Daddy/boy kink. Marc has been feeling kind of blue as he wan't a 24/7 TPE and hasn't found anyone. While out looking at garage sales he meets Foster, your typical nervous unable to make a decision boy who has no idea about Daddies and boys but is soon introduced by Marc and takes to it like a duck to water. Also there is the evil ex who convinced Foster to move from California to Boston and then dumped him. Not sure why the word gem is in the title. I know he's a "gem" but I thought maybe his name was Gem. It was fine, but nothing too beyond the norm.
Oh my heart!! Marc and Foster's journey gave me a myriad of emotions and feels. They had a sweet slow burn on that almost caught my kindle on fire. I could almost swear I felt a room light up when these two enter it!! Marc was a caring, protective, persistent daddy and everything Foster needed after that rude callous ex if his. It made my heart melt feel happy for them taking a chance on each other and finding their hidden gem in each other. Dolls was a very special bonus. A stunning read, I recommend.
I loved the way that Marc cared for Foster from the moment he met him looking at antiques in his yard until the very end; he was such a great Daddy dom, even when Foster wasn't aware and afterwards when Foster agreed to a contract. I also loved the way that Foster came out of his shell while finally standing up for himself. His confidence level kept rising and I am here for it!.

Marc and Foster’s story was a heartfelt, joyful read. Marc had nearly given up on love, while Foster was still finding himself—yet antiquing brought them together in the most unexpected way. Their journey was full of trust, comfort, honesty, and self-discovery. A beautiful reminder that love often finds us when we least expect it. I couldn’t ask for more in a story.

Marc is a therapist who can't find the right boy to Dom. At Foster's garage sale, he discovers a boy desperately in need of a Daddy to love him. Both share a love for antiques, collectibles and museums but Marc recognizes more, Foster's gentleness, anxiety and need for trust. Marc is all about guidance not control, nurturing not forcing. It's a sensual story and tenderly sweet. I received a copy of this through BookSprout and this is my voluntary opinion.
Marc Jameson is a therapist, antiques collector and lonely. As he is out shopping yard sales he meets Foster Olsen who moved to Boston to open an antique shop. Unfortunately that didn’t happen along with his relationship ending. Marc and Foster bonded with their antiquing interest. Marc is a member of Club Sensation owned by his best friend Master Zane. Foster turns out to be the boy Marc is looking for, but there is some anxiety Foster needs to overcome. Very sweet, loving story.
This was such an adorable and cuteness story. You get some laughs from it too.
Marc is ready to find his special boy and when he goes to a yard sale, he finds exactly that. He isn’t sure that he will be able to have Foster as he doesn’t know anything about the lifestyle. Marc is surprised when Foster gives him his answer.
These two learn about each other and spend as much time as they can together.
Marc is lonely and in need of a boy of his own. Foster is lonely after being duped by his ex-boyfriend. When they meet whilst out pursuing antiques it’s an instant connection. Marc unexpectedly found himself a boy, and even though Foster is new to the lifestyle, Marc finds that he has found the one for him.
A low angst read with Daddy/boy elements, appearance of previous characters, and a HEA.
This was a great book! I have been waiting for Marc's book and it did not let me down. I enjoyed Marc and Foster's meet cute and the growing connection and chemistry. Foster has no idea that Marc is a Daddy but a Daddy that he needs in his life. This was great book and I am looking forward to more soon!

Foster made you want to cuddle him and tell him everything will work out. He was so sweet and hopeful, even when full of doubt and self-recriminations. He didn't know his Daddy was waiting so impatiently to meet him!.

This was a quick and enjoyable read! Foster and Marc were awesome characters and so sweet! They really had some great chemistry right from the start. They really made a fantastic couple! Loved seeing other great characters from other books! Very enjoyable and entertaining story!.
