I thought my neighbor was just a grumpy recluse. Turns out, he’s the devil in an Armani suit.
It all started with a Christmas disaster. My curvy boudoir photos landed on his doorstep. Cue absolute panic… And visions of him laughing at my plus-size curves.
But when I showed up to reclaim my photos… He wasn’t laughing. He was waiting. Dark eyes filled with hunger. And my photos gripped tightly in his hand.
One night. That’s all it took—reckless, sinful passion to unravel me. But the next morning brought shocking truth: He’s not just a brooding stranger. He’s a former Bratva boss, with blood-stained secrets and enemies in every shadow.
The snow might be falling gently outside, But inside, I’ve walked straight into a storm.
And as if that wasn’t enough… I’m carrying his baby.

This was an okay read. i thought it would be something different when they said daddy. But they meant like she gets knocked up type of dad.
Amelia is sorta of a stalking girl when she watches her neighbor run he's older and a fox. Her best friend suggested she leave him some baked goods. She does, but little did she know her sexy pictures she took land on his door step, Melor a bravat guy, is interested, but he can't have distractions. But he does when he opens it and is in love.
Things Heat up between the 2 and then drama happens, which has Amelia freaking out at running away every chance she got putting up a little distance and stuck in his house.
Pretty much the same thing is repeated, and she has time now to write. Then she gets knocked up and keeps it a secret because her man is going through a lot. She lies until the end, and he's happy. Then end.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, drama, sexy times, no virgins

I hate a “oh no how could I possible be pregnant right now it’s impossible even though I’ve been getting freaky on every surface of the house unprotected…it’s just impossible” ass book
So, I did not realize that this series is literally all pregnancy trope with mafia dude. Okay. Haha. Here for it I guess. I was thinking more like... kinky daddy, but nope. Literally daddy.
It was okay. I wouldn't say it blew my socks off but it wasn't bad. I liked it for the most part. I'm undecided if I would want to pick up any of the other books in the series.
Amelia is a successful baker/aspiring author who has been admiring her neighbour for a while. After an unfortunate mishap with some revealing boudoir photos that get delivered to the wrong house, perhaps said neighbour can be promoted to lover?
Melor is a former member of the Russian Bratva who has moved to San Francisco for a fresh start. But what happens when his past finds him again leaving not only himself, but his beautiful neighbour in danger?
This was a pretty quick and easy read. I suppose it technically did everything it said on the tin but somehow I still find myself being disappointed. This very much felt like one of those books that is filled lots of different tropes and not all that much story. I think it was just trying to do too much when maybe it should have focussed on the basics.
I liked the concept of this book and the drive of our main character. Amelia seemed to have a real passion for her bakery so I would have liked to see more of this. Melor's past also seemed pretty exciting, if only it was explored some more. Once their relationship had developed I thought they were pretty cute and their dynamic worked well.
Overall I unfortunately can't say I was a big fan of this book. If you're just looking for something that's pretty easy to pass the time, I may recommend this.

Personally I was not into this story. I like insta- live and that but this felt little fake. And so much like those badly made romance movies out there. The FML is also so stupid and the ML felt like those leads in those movies that felt cringey This whole book felt so…. I don’t know how to describe the feelings really but I did not like this with other words. It felt cheasy and a little bit dumb.
But it was an okey book to pass the time. It was short, no drama, insta love and mostly no sad scene (except the death of ml best friend).
An amazing book with an amazing ending. The love story throughout was absolutely perfect, the paragraphs leading up to the main events - the plot twist - the smut but yet gentle love story - it’s so amazing i finished it in 2 days while working 12hr shifts both days! The only suggestion i have on the book is slightly more plot twists, most scenes were definitely things i knew would happen but nevertheless the scenes were amazing!
When I first jumped into Melor and Amelia's story, I wasn't expecting such a great turnout. Seriously. There was a perfect mix of action, anxiety, love, and SPICE! Who knew what some pictures and a couple muffins could do. I highly recommend reading this if you've stumbled across it. You won't regret it. The author did an amazing job at executing Melor and Amelia's story.
I did NOT expect this book to be so good! It has some spice, it has some action, it’s cute and funny! I love books that have a story line and plot but also include spice and more! This one definitely hit the mark!!!
This one started off as cute with Amelia being the baker and Melor being the 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 neighbour that she's attracted to. It started off great and I also liked the instant connection between them and the spicy chemistry that was there.
But, I felt this one didn't pull me in as much though. As we went ahead in the book, I didn't feel the strong connection emotionally and otherwise that I expected between Melor and Amelia.
We do have lots of spiciness and also I liked the story that Amelia was writing for her novel. It had me so invested to know what would happen with the Duke and the lady.

This book follows Melor and Amelia, two neighbors who find themselves attracted to each other… Amelia has been checking him out when he goes past her bakery that she runs with her best friend, when he leaves his house, etc. he has caught her looking… But with his line of work, being out of the brava and doing cyber security, he doesn’t get attached and all he really does is work. Melor ends up with some boudoir photos that Amelia took, shout out to her friend for giving her advice to trying to love herself where she’s at, and is immediately attracted to her… When she comes to pick them up, he knows that what he wants to do is sleep with her… So after heavy flirting, they decide to sleep together… As she is gathering things to leave to men break into the house and she end up in the middle of basically a revenge threat… She is threatened directly, so he forces her to move in. Basically deciding that it’s better to pass time sleeping together while she’s there they sleep together all the time basically on every surface and in every room of his house while she takes breaks to do writing. She lies to her friend as to why she is not able to come into the bakery, which I get the protecting her friend, but it’s a total asshole move, considering how pregnant her friend is. Her and her friend own the bakery together and she abandoned her… Again I know it’s to protect her, but it doesn’t make her a good friend.
Fast-forward to a while later, they finally figure out who the threat is, and he recruits a fellow ex, brought the friend of his to take down the threat… Of course before they get to they are ambushed as they are heading into the hospital to see her friend who finally gave birth. His friend dies, and they are able to neutralize the threat… She find out she’s pregnant, and I don’t understand how she’s confused since they’ve been sleeping together, not using any protection or birth control… The whole shock of being pregnant blows my mind…
The only thing that this has to do with Christmas is that they mention the holidays are coming up, that he decides to decorate for her, her best friend and her best friend‘s boyfriend have decorated, and that the boudoir photos were a gift to herself for the holidays…
There was some character development, so it wasn’t just a book about them having sex… I didn’t super care for reading her book writing… It’s nice that she was an author who was writing while she was technically being his captive… I didn’t super enjoy. I definitely skimmed over there pages and there was an entire chapter that was a part of her book without it being explained or really introduced… It took me a few minutes of going back-and-forth to realize that the author was showing us the book that Amelia was writing… It felt very jarring, and I feel like the whole chapter could’ve been left out or it could’ve been parts of it… Launching into an entire part of that book without any introduction really was way too jarring for my liking.
Overall, this might be when I would come back and read again.

The owner of a cyber-security company, Melor is former Bratva, having successfully gotten out to live his own life. He's had his eye on the lovely woman who lives across the street, and when her sexy boudoir photos are accidentally delivered to him, he can't help but look. When she comes looking for them, the white hot chemistry pops off.
When two strangers invade his home, she discovers his past had come calling, and now she's been drawn into the drama. Lockdown and protecting Amelia becomes his priority, and in the process the two fall in love. There's a surprise pregnancy and a cute cat adoption. ******************** Review: It's not high art, but I enjoyed it. It's lighter than your average dark mafia story, but it still works given the parameters. A lot of the plot points, including the mistaken boudoir photographs, have been done in other books, but somehow they feel fresh. I wish the author would have fleshed out the characters a bit more, but this narrative still works well.
Told in dual first person point of view, the story unfolds naturally and the characters have palpable chemistry. It's billed as part of a series, but it can also be read as a standalone. I recommend. ******************** Ratings: Movie NC17, Overall 5/5, Romance 4/5, Violence 3/5, Spice 4/5, cover 4/5 ******************** 357 pages. Melor is an ex-Bratva heir. He runs a cyber security business he started once out of the Bratva. He's Amelia's hot neighbor. Amelia co-owns Sweet Treats bakery with her bff, Claire and loves to admire her hot neighbor, Melor. She is sweet and independent.
Amelia is happy and settled with her life but Claire thinks she needs more in the romance department. To help with that Claire, full of ideas, sends her to her hot neighbor's house with a delivery of fresh baked goods. She's also talked Amelia into boudoir photos, to help her feel good about herself, and they should have been delivered already. No one answers Melor's door when Amelia brings the treats so she leaves them set with a package on his doorstep and leaves. When she realizes the photos were delivered to Melor's house she goes to get them, hoping he hasn't seen them--but of course, he has! Melor sees the photos and is so attracted to his neighbor he invites her in and for dinner and quickly desert.
This book has it all--spice, action, suspense, and a perfect couple HEA. Though this is said to be an age-gap, ages really aren't mentioned so it's hard to say for me that this is an age-gap read (if that's what you're looking for), and I'd say it's very light mafia. The MMCs compliment each other perfectly. The story flows well even with the twists you may not expect. I recommend!
An amazingly written story full of drama, suspense, action, and romance with a great happy ever after ending. The story has wonderful characters and is a page turner that you won’t be able to put down. A story about a baker and her neighbor falling in love while they two are being stalked by an unknown assailant. During this time they become closer and also intimate. The neighbor calls people from his past to help keep the baker safe. It’s close to Christmas when things come to a boiling point, the neighbor and an old friend go to tend to business but instead talk, the baker has a secret that she’s keeping from the neighbor and the two tell one another that they love each other. The end brings a gunfight, the baker telling the neighbor the secret and the two being happy and in love. The baker finishes writing her novel. It’s not long before the two are heading to the hospital getting ready to have a baby. The two are happy with their new family and are in love. Two years later the two went to the park with their child. While there the neighbor asks the baker to marry him and she agrees. The baker tells the neighbor about their family growing bigger. The couple is happy and is in love. Making this a happy ever after ending again.

This is my first book by K.C. Crowne and I absolutely loved it! I started and finished it yesterday. This book some of my favorite things. Christmas,Bratva and spice—with some thrill and action packed into it!
Amelia is a 20 something young baker She owns a bakery with her pregnant best friend Claire .She is genuine, shy, and committed to her work. She has been crushing on her neighbor— Melor—a 40 something hottie. He works in cybersecurity but was in the Bratva in his former life. Melor is attractive, intense and lives for power, control and success. One day she leaves him some muffins (she is a baker remember?!) but turns out—her Christmas themed boudoir photos get delivered to him by accident. She goes to get her photos. He invites her to stay for dinner and find out they both have a dead parents and are lonely. Sparks and spice fly! Lol. I can’t give too much away—but just know this story is ✨ spicy ✨ with some action and classic Bratva sprinkled in. It was a fantastic read! The bonus epilogues were great as well.
For this being a Bratva romance, situations are fairly easily resolved and seemingly pretty low drama. So it really didn't truly have a mafia/Bratva kind of feel to me. It's also Christmas themed and is a next-door, age-gap romance. While the age-gap is eluded to, it's never really straight up talked about or the MMC's age revealed. The summary on Amazon also states that there's no cheating and a HEA is guaranteed. There's also a surprise pregnancy, but it isn't really the focus of the storyline and the FMC finds out pretty late in the book. The spice was pretty good in this one, like a 3/5. Not sure how the characters get much done since they're constantly boning one another. Although, the FMC comes so easily and often that I feel like a stiff breeze would get her off. It was pretty unrealistic. While there wasn't anything really wrong with this book, it kind of just fell flat for me. It was a pretty easy read and book to get through though, so if you have the time and want to see for yourself, it's not like it was a waste to read. Just not my cup of tea.
Sexy photos win her a sexy Bratva Amelia is the co-owner of Sweet Talk, a delicious pastry shop. With her partner, Claire, they create unexpected pastry delights. When Amelia meets Melor there is instant attraction for them both, especially after Melor sees her vanity photos wearing sexy little nothings. He wants to “see” her for himself. The scene where she comes looking for her missing photos is very funny and sexy. He’s VERY sexy. Melor has been working to get away from the Bratva. His new company in San Francisco provides Cybersecurity for major businesses. But Melor’s criminal past with the Bratva has caught up with him and soon Amelia is drawn into it. She’s in danger and Melor is going to keep her safe…locked up in his house. These two share a happy ending. Linda
Amelia and Melor’s story was such a heartwarming romance with just the right touch of mafia intrigue! I absolutely loved their journey together—it was sweet, emotional, and packed with just enough suspense to keep me hooked.
One of the most powerful moments in the story was Sasha’s selfless declaration before his tragic death while protecting Amelia. It was such a gut-wrenching scene that left me in tears, and I was devastated by his loss. But the decision to honor Sasha by naming their son after him was such a beautiful and meaningful tribute.
The ending couldn’t have been more perfect. With Amelia and Melor engaged, expecting their second baby, and embracing a future full of hope and love, the story wrapped up on such a satisfying note.
This was a quick but incredibly rewarding read, perfect for anyone who loves a heartfelt romance with a twist of danger. Highly recommend!

This book was a very spicy super quick read! It was not as dark romance as I was expecting and definitely not as holiday as I expected either. The book was very good though kept me on my toes with the events and things that occurred! Our MMC Melor is an ex Bratva legacy and when the brother of an old memory comes back to settle a score he is instantly pulled back into that life.. only one problem he had our FMC Amelia the local bakery owner over when the past came back to settle a score. Amelia rightfully so becomes terrified after witnessing death and Bratva life. Melor tells Amelia she must stay with him so he can keep her safe. Their intense feelings for each other grow more and more but can they leave behind the Bratva life or will they or the ones they love get caught in the crossfire?
Melor and Amelia’s story (book 1 of the Silver Fox Daddies series) takes place around the holidays. He is her quiet and mysterious neighbor who keeps to himself and she is a bubbly baker. When he mistakenly receives her mail, from her boudoir photo session, she has to make contact to get them back. She thinks that he is going to laugh at her but instead he invites her in.
What is supposed to be one night of passion turns into more and he does not want to let her go. When his former Bratva life comes knocking, he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
I liked both of these characters and their dynamic with one another. I also enjoyed the San Francisco setting, which was refreshing and different. A great read and sweet love story.
This is a book in the Silver Fox Daddies Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is an age gap holiday romance between Amelia and Melor. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an interesting read. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something more. It is a love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, and engaging secondary characters. Seriously entertaining.

I can't take anymore- dnf at 40%. Spoilers! If the author had allowed a few more interactions, dates, etc. (even sex for a couple days) happen between them before some drama, then the "You must stay with me so I can protect you" trope would have been more believable. And that a Bratva man would open up and share secrets with her so easily? Come on. The less she knows the better. And unprotected sex, from a Bratva man?? lol
Good premise but it's not even Thanksgiving! Where is the Christmas other than a provocative elf costume??
Short novel I got through a SYKD event. I don't think it was too dark of a novel, just a good retired from Bratva story. FMC is super cute and bubbly and creative. MMC is grumpy and focused on his work. He accidentally receives her envelope of risqué pictures and imagines doing dark things to her. The story gets dicey for them as his past comes to haunt him.
Enjoyed it overall. 3.75 stars and 1.5 for spice. Would I recommend this? Yes. Especially if you need a quick palette cleanser, but not to my mom.
