I'm not normally a reader of romance novels, but I was going on a cruise and brought this with to try something different. Being rather conservative, I was slightly concerned by a reference to it being "steamy" but I found I had no reason for my concern. It was a bit steamy, but the interlude descriptions were mild and kept rather tasteful. With that said I really enjoyed reading this book. I had a slight struggle rooting for the main female character because she is living a "friends with benefits" lifestyle, but as her story unfolded she became a more sympathetic personality once I understood the wounds she was protecting by living that lifestyle. The main male character was enjoyable from the start.

I particularly enjoyed the aviation references in this book. It is clear that the author has spent a significant amount of time getting to know small aircraft. I've had the pleasure of flying with a friend on occasion, so all the information provided about the flying made me feel as if I were flying with them.

Clear skies? Not when love’s in the air!

Just finished Flight Plan: An Aviation Romance by Lynn Campbell and oh my god, this book had me hooked from takeoff to landing! ✈️❤️

Aubrey is the kind of fearless, independent heroine we LOVE — flying planes, living life on her terms, and totally not looking for love… until Daniel shows up with those smoldering amber eyes and shakes up her whole world.

Their chemistry? Off the charts.
The banter? Flawless.
The slow burn? So worth the wait.

This isn’t just a romance — it’s a story about second chances, trusting your heart, and figuring out if you’re brave enough to take the leap.

And let’s not forget the steam — whew, someone hand me a fan!

If you’re into headstrong heroines, swoony mechanics with hidden depth, and a romance that builds like a perfect flight path, this book is your next favorite read.

Fasten your seatbelt — you’re in for a wild (and sexy) ride!

Lynn Campbell has written another delicious story with romance, sex appeal, depth of character and continuity that is hypnotic. This book has the same incredible character development and intriguing complex characters and parallel storylines as her last book, Revenge Game. Yet this book has a sweeter flavor, showing Campbell's ability to grasp another genre of writing. As someone who doesn't read a lot of fiction, I couldn't put the book down. I finished the book in a weekend and can't wait to see what else she offers her readers like me in the future. I loved the book.

I enjoyed reading the aviation references, though it's not something that I really understand. I also enjoyed the setting, with which I have minimal familiarity. I did not enjoy the "friends with benefits" promiscuity. I thought the same points could have been made without the "steamy" details. However, the overall arc of the story of a "broken" woman who finds redemption through the love of a good man was laudable.

A grounded, grown-up slow-burn with heart, heat, and a fresh setting.

Aubrey’s independence and Daniel’s quiet strength made for such a compelling dynamic I loved how their connection unfolded slowly, with real tension and depth. The aviation angle added something special, too.

Perfect for readers who love strong women, mature romance, and characters who fall in love without losing themselves.

This is a “steamy” romance between a pilot and an aviation mechanic. The references to flying, aviation and the location are well researched and accurate. The back stories and development of the main characters is good. What I did not like was the very intimate detailed description of sexual behavior of the main characters and the “friends with benefits”. I feel this should be kept private.
