Set in the Cretaceous period of the Horseshoe Canyon Formation of Alberta, Canada, Atrociraptor is a thrilling tale of survival from the author of New Hunter in a world where dinosaurs rule.
If you like dinosaurs this is an excellent read. I loved reading a story about dinosaurs that was largely accurate and followed realistic behaviors. Only two items I felt weren’t entirely believable. 1. Was an older dinosaur getting gray feathers. Birds don’t get gray feathers either age so it wouldn’t make sense for dinosaurs with feathers to get gray feathers due to age. 2nd a male only female only packs wouldn’t be functional in an ecosystem as it be hard to get the make offspring back to fathers pack in a different area. It makes more sense to have family packs vs bachelor packs than make vs female packs.
But I enjoyed the book and it wasn’t too predictable
