A lot of talking. A lot of planning. A lot of burning of mana. And yet read pretty quickly and with some good choices on how the plot is going. Some of the epilogue lagged but some was really good. This is supposed to be the second to last book. I'll be sorry when this is done.

The war is over. Now it is time to do the clean-up, including dealing with (some of) the root cause of both the war and the problems with the mana shortage. Myne herself did not come unscathed out of the issue and if they don't find a solution she might end up dead. What follows was a good read, with some solid character and world development. Especially the after-stories were more to my liking than what we got in a long time. All in all, a good addition to the series, bit of a cliff-hanger ending though.

Pirmspēdējā grāmata no šīs sērijas. Izskatās, ka šai sērijai būs labs noslēgums. Neviens jautājums netiks neatbildēts. Visi varoņa sapņi tiks piepildīti. Laimīgas beigas.

Another great addition to the series, though I am, again, a little slow at reviewing this.

The Prologue is from Ferdinand's POV, and it is a mix of present and a bit of the recent past. It's nice to see what was going on while Mestionora was in Rozemyne's body and that whole conversation. Plus, Hartmut's and Ferdinand's conversation was interesting.

As for the main plot, it is largely Rozemyne dealing with her missing memories while also moving forward with the fate of the country and getting all that in order. I wasn't entirely sure how this was going to go, nor was I entirely sure who I actually wanted to be the next Zent, but the direction this went was quite satisfying and worked well with all that had come before.

Then there was the plot of Rozemyne having too much mana in her body. I enjoyed most of this, but I will admit it did start to drag just a little. It is meant to show just how power the gods are, I think, but trying to use one's excess mana can only remain interesting for so long. Still, there were some great moments in all that.

The Epilogue is told from Gretia's POV. I'll admit that I don't remember much of this, but it's always nice to get another perspective on the events unfolding in the novel, and it allows insights into how some of Rozemyne's retainers view some of the magical events.

The first bonus story is from Hannelore's POV, and it's nice to get a perspective on how most people viewed the (spoiler) ceremony. It's funny how normal something can seem from an outsider's view while things are going crazy with Rozemyne's. But I was wondering how it looked to everyone else, so it's nice to get that answer. I also love being in Hannelore's POV, as I really enjoy her character.

The second bonus story is from Eglantine's POV. It's nice to get a bit more of Anastasius' view on things (he's one of my favorite characters), but the main focus is on what Eglantine went through and experienced during certain events. It is quite interesting.

The final bonus story comes from a commoner in Ahrensbach. It's nice to get a POV from a commoner about all the changes going on in his duchy, and I really enjoyed this fresh perspective.

The bonus comics are cute.

Overall, another great addition to the series, with some major changes happening to the country at large. Don't want to get into spoilers, but it is interesting to see just how powerful Rozemyne has become and how much influence she has over the entire kingdom. There was some suspense in figuring out who the next Zent was going to be, and things turned out differently than I was hoping, but it also fits quite well into prior events.

The artwork is great as always, as is the humor and the writing. I love the front cover (though, I just realized it gives a major spoiler I purposely avoided in my review...), and I also love the second colored art. They're both so pretty.

Oh wow wow.

This opening awe-filled statement is all because of the short stories in this volume. The main story may have started out slow—what with the life-changing, country-changing meeting spanning several chapters and then shortly followed by Rozemyne's slow and lengthy agony, but the short stories and the epilogue made up for all the somberness and seriousness of the main chapters.

It was painful and pitiful to read about Rozemyne suffering. She always catches some strays meant for Ferdinand lol. She is always targeted to spite him. It just goes to show how important she is to Ferdinand. And in this volume, we see just how important she is to many other people too.

The different POVs at the end are such a delight to read! I especially love Jiffy's POV. We get to see how Rozemyne is viewed by the commoners and I love how they acknowledge her deeds and worth. If only the nobles share the sentiment sigh. Love that POV nonetheless. It was a funny chapter so it deserves a special mention.

I can't believe I am in the second to the last volume now. The next part will be the last of the main story and I'm not sure if I'm ready to move on yet. But nonetheless, we must forge our way ahead. The rest of the story awaits for us to read it. I can't wait. On to the next!

I read this in the web novel. I couldn't wait for the official translation. Hail Google Translate!

This ending was amazing. I loved every single part. I've found authors that when reading the translation closest to the original, they are very repetitive. Kazuki is not one of those. Her prose is so easy to read. Here I found Rozemayn's voice to be childish but honest. I mean; she is a 30-something-year-old woman, but she was first in the body of a very small child when she was in her mid-20s, and now she's in the boy of a teenager. Her inner voice is never going to match her body. But Ferdinand understands her and loves her as she is. No, it is never said but it is implied and that's enough for me.

I hope there are more short stories about this story. I so want more of Ferdinand. And of his and Mayn sharing memories and learning about each other. I am so satisfied right now, I could cry.

the beginning of the end let's goooo. can't believe this is the penultimate volume of the entire series. there's so much yet to be done, though, i can't begin to even imagine how everything will be wrapped up in volume 12.
although it took until a side story at the very end of the volume, i'm so glad we finally got more details on rozemyne's divine aura. rozemyne's renaming got brought up and it, once again, reminded me that it just didn't sit right with me that dirk got baptised with that name. whatever happened to nobles needing long ass names? sure, rozemyne was supposed to be an archnoble, soon to be adopted by the archduke, so she needed not just a more appropriately noble name, but she also couldn't be "myne" anymore. even so, could it have hurt anyone to rename dirk something that wasn't monosyllabic?
oh. but what a cliffhanger this volume ended on.

I really love this series. This is the second to last volume in the entire series. Rozemyne has to deal with the issues of how to deal with the godly mana currently inhabiting her body - and she needs to get rid of it all before it kills her. The future of Yurgenschmidt is set on a path to return to what it was meant to be - but if Rozemyne dies, several key people will die with her and potentially throw Yurgenschmidt back into dire straits. The end scene with Rozemyne and Ferdinand is a culmination of all the buildup from the very beginning. It felt very romantic to me - made me think of the song "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. I am glad I already read the web novel (or at least as well as you can with google translate), or the cliff hanger would have half killed me to wait on the next volume.

After Mestionora leaves something's off with Rozemyne, some of her memories have been blocked, she appears fine at first but it soon becomes clear that it changed her personality.
Rozemyne, do you go out looking for trouble or are you unlucky enough that it simply finds you?
They summon the royal family and explain their plan, Sigiswald makes the grave mistake of trying to accuse Ferdinand which angers Rozemyne and makes him look even stupider than usual.

Ferdinand sneakily gives Rozemyne his name stone, always showing how much he cares without explaining anything. I don't quite understand why she feels the need to deny every time someone mention their closeness, there's a difference between saying she doesn't love him that way and speak for his feelings which she clearly doesn't fully understand.

Eglantine volunteers to become the next Zent and agrees to give her name to Rozemyne. The ceremony begins but they are summoned by the gods once again and Rozemyne is given even more divine mana putting her life at risk.

Finally the gods learn...

This book was an amazing read filled with dread sadness and twists that kept me guessing as to what might happen. I fully recommend the full series to anyone who loves a good read. Books aren't just an escape they are full of ideas and different perspectives. This entire series plays on that something not often found in book series previously. I think this will lead to a new era of books and readers who are more open to accepting challenges and hardships that come to them and not just overcome the issues but work them in such a manner to get a better outcome than what they thought possible.

First off I love this series and I'm excited for the finale, but.... This book was a bit of a let down. The prologue with ferdinand's POV and the epilogue with other povs were much more entertaining, and would have given this book a 5 ⭐ had it just been those parts. Maybe because Myne's memories are distorted, but she doesn't seem to be the same fun character to read. And there was so much plot building... It felt like majority of the meetings could have been much much shorter. Really hoping the final book brings it all together.

I can't believe I'm finally nearing the end of this series!

Rozemyne is nearly overcome by the gods who are trying to force the humans to do their will. Ferdinand is trying to bring Yurgenschmidt back to its original intents and purpose. Several people are trying to be the Zent. So much is happening, and trying to keep up is hard for me, but I'm excited to see how it all turns out in the next volume.

This is the 2nd to last book in Miya Kazuki's bookworm series.
It's been interesting this lastest book. A lot of things start to wrap up finally and it doesn't feel like fluff in between. Early Myne has been building a living standard and now it's all about the deep grit politics about who will rule the world.

Women first

This book really gives the women their time to shine. So many of our characters have to overcome circumstances that arise from their birth, parents' actions or other unavoidable life situations. But these ladies rose above and made their own path when given choices they found unacceptable. As always, our world in the pages becomes more full and colorful.

LOVED the extra scenes. The interactions of Rozemyne and Ferdinand and the fuzziness in how they treat each other and think about each other is interesting, too. Looking forward how things will pan out in the last volume!

Casi casi se termina la historia 😢. Este volumen tuvo una cantidad de eventos abrumadora así que feliz. Tuvo muchas menos historias cortas que los anteriores y los personajes han tenido unos grandes cambios.

Part 5 is winding down and this volume covers the postwar cleanup and crowning of the new Zent. Myne is dealing with the consequences of being a divine avatar and preparations for the future. It was a solid volume and I’m looking forward to last volume.

God, I love this series

I am both super excited to see this book and super sad because the series seems to be coming to a close. But that also makes me happy because it’s been an amazing journey. With wonderful characters and original storylines. Well, I don’t want it to end? I also can’t wait to see see what happens.😁

The degree to which I love this entire series is baffling. Ignore my review I am not rational.

Ferdinand having emotions! Myne’s distractability when her library city is mentioned! Her teams loyalty and constant bafflement! The royal family’s inability to parse reality! It is like dark chocolate.

The gods need to learn consent

I loved it. Everything from the spells used to euphemisms that we've slowly been acquiring throughout the series has been applied perfectly. I really appreciate the continuity

Divine Rozemyne

Rozemyne gets divinity from mestionora and that was pretty cool. I think Rozemyne and Ferdinand are into each other than they let on. I would recommend this to anyone that likes a fantasy story.
