In this chilling new thriller from Steve Gannon, LAPD Detective Daniel Kane researches the disappearance of a talented young actress, launching an investigation that unearths the work of a deadly predator––an investigation that lands Kane and his family in the killer's crosshairs.
Detective Kane is back in time for the holidays. A perfect stocking stuffer.
I was given an advanced copy and asked to write a honest review. Also, as a retired police officer tell if there is an error in tactics or police procedures.
Warning Kane: Predator is not for the faint of heart.
The author, Steve Gannon, unleashes a terrifying serial killer, exploiting the serenity of secluded state parks to satisfy his twisted desires. With an intellect rivaling the greatest minds, this ruthless predator outwits law enforcement, leaving a trail of devastation.
This gripping thriller masterfully weaves together a complex investigation, delving into the recesses of the human psyche. Steve Gannon's meticulous research and skillful storytelling craft an unsettling atmosphere, keeping the readers on edge. Be prepared for a haunting, thought-provoking journey into the heart of darkness.
I have been reading Steve Gannon's series featuring LAPD Homicide Detective Daniel Kane since the first, starting with A Song For the Asking. And I've been praising his writing skills from the very beginning.
I love being caught up with his family life, reading about his beautiful home on the Malibu seashore and all his escapades.
In this entry in the series we start off seeing that there's going to be a very nasty antagonist going up against Kane, turning out to be a serial killer targeting beautiful women hikers in national parks. Kane is paired up with FBI Agent Sara Taylor again and they go right to looking for this sadistic animal.
You can read this as a standalone book but I really recommend reading the seven books that were written prior to this one. This is one of my favorite series and authors and I highly recommend this book and ALL the others prior to it.
I have read every one of the Kane series. Dan Kane has gone through an evolution since the first novel, and I am looking forward to reading more novels which I am hoping that Steve Gannon will write.
