Award winning author Anne Kane lives in the beautiful Okanagan Valley with a bouncy little rescue mutt(Merlin the Wonder Dog), a slightly larger rescue dog (Lexi the Bouncy) a cantankerous Himalayan cat (Jeff), and too many fish to count. She has two handsome sons and seven adorable grandchildren. She's always been fascinated by science fiction and fantasy so of course when she writes, she lets her imagination take over. The one thing the reader can always count on is that the main characters will live happily ever after, even if they have to defeat a few nasty aliens first.

When she's not busy writing the next great novel, she likes to kayak, hike, ride motorcycles, swim, skate, practice karate, play her guitar, sing and of course, read.

When Emma witnesses a murder in the park and is shot at, she high tails it to the only man she knows that can protect her Ace. When he learns what has happened to Emma Ace is furious and is determined to get to the bottom of it. He has known Emma since childhood and has secretly carried a torch for her thinking she was dating his little brother but when he learns that wasn't the case he is determined to make her his. Will he be able to keep her safe to achieve his goal.

Loved it

This is the first book I've read by this author, definitely will not be the last. Good characters and storyline along with some suspense and action. Keeps your attention from the start. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was a really good read - great characters, a fast-moving plot and a few interesting twists from the 'normal' MC book. I read it all in one sitting, and have a few favourite characters that I hope get their own books. I'm really looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Emma had dated Ace’s brother, but was only friends. Emma was walking home thru a park and witnessed a shooting. She ran to the clubhouse where she reunited with Ace.

Enjoyed the romance, brotherhood, and the love scenes. If you like a good MC book without all the hard-core blood, this was a good book.
