A revolting AI slop guide to baseball. There is a disclaimer on the copyright page that "all characters and events portrayed in this book are fictitious" even though the entire point of the book is to be a factual guide to baseball. Every image in the book is AI generated, and the glib, greasy voice of AI pervades every sentence.

I just picked a random page, get a load of this TURRIBLE writing:

"on the field, you should be yapping like a bunch of excited puppies" [I guess so?]

"...on the field, you should be noisier than a classroom when the teacher steps out" [You just made a simile about this like two sentences ago!]

"gloves weren't always the size of small cars" [What are you even talking about? Baseball gloves aren't famously oversized, this hyperbole makes no sense]

"make your throws more accurate than cupid's arrow." [fine, why not?]

"...scoop the ball up, smoother than peanut butter" [you don't need this many similes in one paragraph!]

"We know that fielding is as much about inspiration as it is perspiration" [It's really not. Nobody has ever thought or said this in the history of baseball]

"This chapter is going to be your Yoda in the ways of the almighty glove." [If Yoda was anything like this chapter, George Lucas would have died a pauper: "Luke, the force you must use as softly as an ewok's pelt, but also loud like tauntans you must be, and also just to remind you, lightsabers weren't always the size of death stars!"]

"The Baseball Book" was donated to my library in pristine condition and I am throwing it in the garbage instead of letting kids read it. For good measure, I ripped the book in half at the spine, and threw each half in different bins to prevent the raccoons from reading this egregious book in its entirety.
