Prominent medical malpractice attorneys are being murdered and their bodies deposited in plain view. The corpses are surgically altered post-mortem, and each has a cryptic note tied to the big toe.
The case is assigned to Septimus “Mac” McClymonds, an experienced and industrious New York City homicide detective with a perfect record for catching the killer.
