Boys love dangerous animals. This NO, DAVID!-inspired adventure features the wild-adventure approach of "Crocodile Hunter," as a boy encounters the deadliest and most fascinating animals on Earth.
This energetic new book from talented artist Robert Florczak will have readers immediately hooked! A young boy who appears to be on safari is pictured on each spread, alongside the world's most fearsome and exotic creatures--cobras, gorillas, and crocodiles, oh my! On every spread, a simple caption ("Yikes!", "Look out!") explains the true danger he's in. But at the story's end, readers are in for a a spread showing the boy, now home, sitting under a tree, reading a book. Did he really have a wild adventure? Readers can decide for themselves.
So I don’t really like books with so few words...but this book was a hit with my five year old. So much laughter. I think this would be great for a boy who likes scary things and is learning to read.
A wild adventure filled with dangerous animals. The boy’s facial expressions and exclamations make an entertaining storytime. After the story, a page containing animal names and a few facts is included.
Scholastic rocks. Another great book with just simple words of exclamation and fabulous illustrations of rare wild critters and creatures. The book can be used at different levels. Another book A warmed up right off the bat.
