Jungle bedrooms, pirate treasure maps, a chocolate bath, little people with flying boots, a crazy parrot and a Magic Key can all be found in the first of a series of books about the Bugglepuff family. It takes the Bugglepuff family to a new home by an enchanted creek that leads to a fantastical adventure in a world of magic where dreams can come true. But the family has to be careful. Temptations lead the Bugglepuff children and their extraordinary animals on a series of dangerous quests for which the price of failure will break the family apart and the world as we know it. Come on the adventure with the Bugglepuff’s and let your imagination explode!

International Award Winning children's author CL Bennett was born in the United Kingdom in 1973 and studied Art History, working in London and abroad.
After many years of being urged to write a book about her own growing family's day to day haphazard escapades, she found inspiration to put pen to paper one summer after a chance visit to the eccentric and charming fishing port of Brixham in Devon.
With a tremendously silly name in mind, the glorious world of the Bugglepuff’s and the Magic Key was borne.
Two years later on the 1st April 2014 the first book was published.
A tremendously exciting moment for the author and reader too!
Enjoy the first book, there's lots more adventures to come.
An enjoyable story and a good set up for the family as a whole. The story flowed well, but the book seemed to have a lack of a definitive ending. It was more like a cliffhanger ending you would get on a season ending episode of a television show. I am definitely looking forward to the next book to see how things will finish up. While I was Ok with the ending knowing another book is coming out, I am not sure the cliffhanger style ending will work for the target age group. All in all though an enjoyable story and very cool black and white drawings throughout the book!!
So both my children have a copy of this book. My 10 year old loved it, his 6year old little sister wants to live with the bugglepuffs! We have read this book cover to cover about 20 times already. It is the only story she will have at bed time and is she so excited for book 2. I love seeing her so excited about books reminds me of myself at her age and my excitement over Roald Dahl books. Read it to your children you will not be disappointed
I received this book via the First Read giveaway of Goodreads.
I understand that this book is an introduction of the Bugglepuffs family and other book will follow, but I was expecting a little bit more. I would of love to enter a little bit more already in this magic adventure. But in the other side, this make me want to know more about it. I can't wait for the other books to come out (even if i'm an adult ;)) and know what is happening next.
I received this book from the Goodreads Giveaway. Young children will delight in the magical dreams of the very eccentric Bugglepuffs! It was fun going back in time to when I was young and innocent and imaginations ran wild! It's a cliffhanger though, so be prepared to wait for the next adventure!!
Has anyone read this awesome first book in a magical series about the Bugglepuff Family? I got hold of a copy last week as a friend recommended it and my kids went crazy for it. Its an amazing adventure classic. The characters are hilarious and this authors imagination is magical! A classic for the future!
I hope Disney turns it into a movie its going to be amazing - the dream bedrooms and the characters, the crazy pets, the chocolate door - oh I can't say anymore because I'll spoil it. If you want a super book for Christmas for kids its the one.
CL Bennett is our new CS Lewis - well done! Its brilliant! My kids never ask for books but they want Book 2 in the series NOW.
So does anyone know when the second book is coming out. The first book finished with such a big cliff hanger my daughter who's 10 just went - 'No, Mum no there must be another page'...oh dear CL Bennett how could you!!
Open your imagination! What an absolutely astounding magical adventure – with comical characters, strange critters, talking animals ---everything is possible and yet there must be at least one danger --- just a wonderful read! I would love to live with the Bugglepuff’s in their brand new inherited house! Can’t wait for the next charming adventure! While waiting for the next edition I think I'll color all the delightful illustrated pictures in the book!
This is a grown-up's review of a book written for kids. I thoroughly enjoyed the imagination that went into Bugglepuffs and the Magic Key, however was disappointed in the abrupt ending. Wish the story had gone on longer....
I received a free review copy of Bugglepuffs and the Magic Key through Goodreads Giveaways.

This was a fun book with absolutely beautiful drawings. It's fun and cute. Nothing too complicated for young minds, so it is missing the moral aspect some children's books offer. It's very reminiscent of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, without the multiple levels of meaning.
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**
