When a former teammate makes a desperate cry for help from two thousand miles away, Chase Fulton and his team of American covert operatives launch a rescue mission unlike anything they’ve undertaken in their storied career. From the Sea of Cortez to the burning Amazon jungle, the chase is on inside the mysterious and ancient world of tribal existence, at the farthest reaches of civilization. In a world where every step could spell obliteration for the team, they must become masters of their new environment in order to pluck their brother-in-arms from the clutches of an evil that exists in the haunting expanse beneath the centuries-old canopy of trees flourishing under bright, subtropical skies.
When the team discovers that retrieving their fellow fighter is but the thinnest of layers covering a far more sinister campaign, they must somehow find the courage to stand toe to toe with an invisible, nefarious enemy before the clock runs out and the warriors of tactical Team Twenty-One are but one more forgotten secret eternally absorbed by the endless and unforgiving jungle.
Creator of The Chase Fulton Novels series and The Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins Series, Cap Daniels is a former sailing charter captain, scuba and sailing instructor, pilot, Air Force veteran, and civil servant of the U.S. Department of Defense. Raised far from the ocean in rural East Tennessee, his early infatuation with salt water was sparked by the fascinating, and sometimes true, sea stories told by his father, a retired Navy chief petty officer. Those stories of adventure on the high seas sent Cap in search of adventure of his own, which eventually landed him on Florida’s Gulf Coast where he and his wife Melissa spend as much time as possible on, in, and under the waters of the Emerald Coast.
With a headful of larger-than-life characters and their thrilling exploits, Cap pours his love of adventure and passion for the ocean onto the pages of his action adventure series, The Chase Fulton Novels and his new series Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins.
Inspired by the likes of John D. Macdonald’s Travis McGee, Randy Wayne White’s Doc Ford, and Wayne Stinnett’s Jesse McDermitt, Cap creates thrilling tales of action and adventure set throughout the Caribbean and coastal Florida and Georgia by intertwining nautical adventure with international espionage. Cap’s Chase Fulton Novels series promises to keep readers on the edge of their seats, trying to guess what new danger or adventure lies just around the corner.
The Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins series is a spin-off starring the most controversial and intriguing character from the Chase Fulton Novels. After defecting to the United States, Anastasia "Anya" Burinkova, a former Russian SVR assassin and intelligence operative puts her lethal skill set into action against the powerful Russian Mafia. In this gritty, organized-crime thriller series, Cap Daniels takes his readers into the dark underworld of the Russian Mafia weaving actual events into fiction to leave the reader's heart pounding and their fingers itching to turn the page.

I came to learn of Cap Daniels late, so by the time I started reading this series there were 30 of them. Read the first 2 or 3, found them to be very good, so decided to read them in blocks of 10 This review covers the last 10, and for the most part they are very good, a couple of 5* in there,.mainly 4*, with one 3*. By about book 25 I was starting to wonder how the team could take on so many missions, yet all walk away from them. OK to Chase has a prosthetic foot and Clarke is sidelined due to injury and old age, but surely with this many bullets flying around someone is going to get fatally hit SPOILER Ironically it does happen and not in the way one expects. The irony being that having read the reviews of this specific book, people raved it, yet I could only give it 3*. I found it poorly done, almost as if the author felt it had to happen and not with the same attention to detail the other books have contained Lastly one issue I am finding harder to ignore, is the religious threads that are now becoming even more prevalent. More SPOILERS Hunter going off to become a missionary comes out of the blue and then the mission to rescue him results in one of the bad guys, who is an atheist, being baptized. I get it that Singer is deeply religious, but please reign it in a bit
Mr. Daniels has several story lines moving through this book
Chase begins this book going in one direction, but quickly changes course when he is alerted about his friend Hunter being in trouble! The Team goes to South America to find/save Hunter. They quickly find out they don't know all the facts and try to regroup and get more information while everyone else and the jungle try to kill them! From this point on you need to diagram all the players as to what they are doing! Then the jungle canopy saves them from a fatal helicopter crash, they find Hunter, get him rescued from near death and kill the bad guys! Chase gets a major surprise at the end of the story! From the start to the finish, there is constant action and change in this book! WOW!
It's been an incredible journey that began with Chase in a crouch behind the plate to an elite security operator with a higher calling in Christ. Daniels has developed a compelling relationship between Chase and Singer, the hymn-singing, ordained Southern Baptist minister and lethal sniper. The story of Singer's faith and how he ministers to a needy Chase in times of crisis is uplifting and offers a clear explanation of the Gospel. I have already reserved a copy of book 31, The Capital Chase.
Hard to put down the book AS USUAL. Also really enjoyed the mix of intel, action, teamwork, doing the right thing, forgiveness, forgiving oneself, and the sliver of faith that Cap weaves in this story. It’s so hard to wrap our mind around how much God loves us, regardless of our past choices and our daily screwups, but I was moved by Chase and Singer’s depth of faith and understanding in their warrior-world and their ability to communicate that love to their angry, hurt, guilt-ridden yet capable, new paratrooper brother.
Excellent book. It’s hard to believe, but I swear each book is better than the last. This one really pulled on my emotions. I felt like I was going thru the same struggles as Chase was. I had to keep a tissue handy a few times. I’ve read all the books in sequence, so I feel like I know all the characters well. When something happens to one, I really feel it. Chase is surrounded by wonderfully unique characters. I highly recommend this book. I’m sad the I’m nearing the last of his published books in this series. I’m anxious to start #31.
this is a book of the love of a brother but not blood brother
This was a really heartwarming story of the love for a brother and the things a person will do to find that lost brother. It’s adventure, and a story of what a group of men will do for a lost brother . It’s another great one Cap thank you for a wonderful story of the true feeling of a group of men that try to find their friend lost in the Amazon
I've said it before and I'll say it again I didn't think they (the stories/books) could get any better yet they always do! I stole the title of this review from the first line of Cap's Epilogue because it was exactly how I felt. What a magnificent story, told with such passion and heartfelt imagery! WOW! Once again you made this kinda crusty old man cry and I loved it! Thanks for making my life better because of your stories!
It must almost be painful for Cap Daniels to know that the writing that took so much of his time gets devoured in a day! However, his writing grips your interest and propels you to the always satisfying conclusion. Always exciting, always well crafted, a pure joy to read! Thanks for another great one, Cap!
Another great story.as always the one I am reading is the best one yet. And then I read the newest and I think this is better yet. Calling Chase is very inspirational. I wish I had the words to describe my feelings better. I am glad I discovered Cap several year’s ago. I have read all of his books. Never read a bad one.
I have read all the Chase Fulton books and this may be my favorite. There is so much camaraderie between the warrior, I feel like part of their family. I also am happy Anya is part of the team. Keep writing, Cap! I’m waiting for the next adventure!
I respect that GOD plays an integral part of the storyline, more so than any gunfight description. In 1999 I spent two weeks in the Amazon jungle establishing a Blood Bank for a missionary hospital. I can appreciate the environment Chase's team found themselves inserted into to find their teammate!
Cap Daniels does it once again! Making you feel like you're there in the midst of these great characters, making you feel like one of the "family"...... and doing it in a way where, we the reader, gets all the action we can handle and yet guides us in the mission field as well.... Absolutely brilliant! Can't wait for the next installment!!!
The Calling Chase: A Chase Fulton Novel, Book 30 Cap Daniels continues to impress me with his story telling ability.WOW! Once I downloaded The Calling Chase, and started reading it, I could not put it down! Although I have to admit I had to read it cover to cover! You have gone above and beyond with this latest episode of Chase and his team!! The Calling Chase, should get at least 10 stars!
Cap Daniels has given us another Chase Fulton hit. Mr.Daniels ability to draw in the reader and make them cry, laugh, wonder and even remember that we sometimes forget our Creator , is a true talent. I have enjoyed every one of his writings. This is another great one. Thanks Cap Daniels.
Singer could probably sing the chorus, "if it keeps getting better and better oh Lord, I don't know what I'm going to do." That's how the chapters of The Calling Chase were to me. I couldn't stop reading! Chase and his band of brothers, including Anya, will keep you spellbound until the very end.
The loyalty and sense of family that Chase and the guys have is admirable. I love their togetherness, love and discipline that they have as a team. I would love to visit BonaVentura and sit on the deck shootingvthe breeze with this gathering if warriors, heroes and God fearing men.
Disappointed that this Chase was not as exciting as the previous books. Also, I felt that there was too much "missionary" work being done within and outside the novel. I felt that Singer as a devout Christian character was a nice part of the team but this story went overboard to the point where I felt I - as the reader - was trying to be converted.
I found this easy to read and hard to put down. It was enjoyable from start to finish. It was not steeped in political or sociological opinion and commentary. Yet, it was real and I learned a few things I never knew before. Thanks, zCap.
This is the second time I have used the fifth star in the last ten years. The other five star was Singer by Cap. I read hundreds of books now that I am retired and I need to reserve the five for truly exceptional works. As a faithful reader of Cap's books (30?) they truly stand out. You can’t go wrong, but start at one.
Another good story but not in keeping with team 21 ops. When they boarded the Desert Star, why not take the bridge and find out what is going on. What they did was not chase Fulton! Then the second time why not takeover the bridge first, the you control the ship and you can stop it and make everything easier. Not as tight a story as others but still worthy.
what a powerful book this is! Cap dug deep For this “Chase.” I honestly think his brother served as Cap’s basis for this loving tale of loyalty, sacrifice, and brotherhood. it moved me deeply.
Well… Cap did it again! I don’t know how he keeps me on the edge of my seat book after book, but there are very few series that I read the book in less than a day but it happens every time I start a new Chase Fulton book.
Calling Chase is an exciting Chase Fulton adventure. Cap spins an action packed story with some interesting twists. It’s hard to put down. A great read.
OK story, if sometimes a bit silly or farcical. An easy read between good books - only a couple of hours to browse through. But here, "Cap" ups his incessant prosyltizing for his specific brand of magical thinking to the point of engaging my gag reflex. A generous 2 stars.
This story is a little different than others that I have read, but very interesting and a good read. One thing that is clearly distinctive is the underlying faith that is projected in some of the leading characters. I found it most endearing and reinforcing.
If I could give this 10 Stars, I would. Not sure what I.liked the best about it either. It was hard to picture the Jungle, and yet I was in Viet Nam. As always everyone came out ok, and for the most part, better than they were when the story started. Great job Cap.
What a great story for chase and his make shift warriors they as always come thru in flying colors gun battles missing helps and of course hiking in the jungle all in all a super boom...ciao from Bobbie and I puts vida...
I think I enjoyed this book in the series more than I've enjoyed several of the books in the series. And I enjoy all the books...don't get me wrong... I can't believe we are already in the 30th book in the series.
Wow , what an exhilarating read this one was . Have enjoyed every book in this series, it’s one of my top favorites and having to wait for the next book is hard to do as these characters have become such good friends!!
It’s difficult to remember all of the plots but this is the best
I can’t help it, I very much enjoyed this novel. It had a lot of life’s lessons all rolled up in one story. You know you can’t put the book down until it is finished.
