Mickey and Jane Ann Ferraro are judging a barbecue contest at River City. Of course, Frannie and Larry Shoemaker are joining them and looking forward to great food and music, as well as their usual camping fun. Sally Shoemaker tags along , with a big decision to make. But, the competition gets more serious than anything Jane Ann and Mickey have seen at previous contests. Frannie and Larry get drawn into the mystery, and the whole weekend gets turned upside down.
When Frannie and her friends go to a weekend bbq contest, her daughter comes along to discuss a big decision she needs to make. No one expects a murder to disrupt the contest. Frannie ends up grilling the suspects to solve the case. It's another fascinating camping mystery with crazy characters and lots of clues. Highly recommended.
This series is always a quick read that will get your pulse up and keep you guessing till the very end. I hope the next book will be ready to read soon!!!!!
Still enjoying Frannie Shoemaker and her friends and their camping adventures. I’m certainly glad they have campers - if they were in tents I would be terrified for them what with all the murders they have around.
Frannie Shoemaker campground mysteries are always a good read. This one could've used a bit more proof-reading, but it was enjoyable all the same. Not sure how the author comes up with so many different scenarios, but glad she does!
