Dublin Debacle by Elle James
Brotherhood Protectors, International series #4. Spin off from other Brotherhood Protector series. Can be read as a stand-alone but best of at least the first in this series is read for the setup of recurring characters. They are different from the various U.S. based series.
Former U.S. Army Ranger Jack Collin is on an assignment for the Brotherhood Protectors in Dublin, Ireland. His job is to find out who is stirring up trouble between the Travelers and Radical Nationalists and they’ve traced transmissions from a local pub. Emily O’Brien and her family own the pub and have worked hard to escape the connections to the Irish Travelers. Emily doesn’t believe it was her father that was found in ruins of the automobile crash but doesn’t know why that would be hidden. Jack and Emily end up in the middle of the investigation and attracted to each other at the same time.
A conspiracy that could end the peace. They have to help stop the fighting.

Heavy, and tense. I don’t like the arguing and tension of wars and politics. I read to escape. Yes, this a romantic suspense but the threat of war are not an easy subject.
Fortunately the romance between Jack and Emily took over the final threat as they save the day. I have to agree with the comment: “Why can’t people be kind and civil?”

Fast action, and romance.
I received a copy of this from the author.

The unrest is growing....

.....but who is the flamethrower inciting the violence?
Emily is central to the nefarious plot to bring war to Dublin, but she has no idea what is going on around her and exactly who is targeting her and her family. Or why. Watching Jack and Emily fall in love as they battle politics, angry groups from opposing sides and mysterious hooded attackers, is very sweet. They are both wary of love and the heartbreak it can bring, but they realise it is definitely better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. If you let the joy and happy moments fill your heart, they will help to hold it together should the worst happen and that person be taken from you. Love may not conquer all, but it does make you stronger and it makes the hard times far easier to face together.
I love this BP International series, it is great to have them so close to the UK for English readers too! A great series I cannot wait for more.

This time they aren't fighting people; they are fighting an idea. Someone is posting hateful messages to start trouble between two factions. They are telling one side that the other side is killing their people and vice versa. Emily's family is right in the middle of it all. Jack is sent to Dublin to root out the people behind the posts before an all-out war starts. Emily is spunky and that makes her Jack's kind of woman. But he has sworn off women after losing his love years before. Emily is so busy that she doesn't have time to even think about romance. But there is something about Jack that makes her want to make time. Can they solve the problem before anyone else is killed?

As the saying goes ‘another one bits the dust’ and in this case he didn’t want to. Jack gets thrown into the case and in Emily’s path. A path full of family history and an ongoing war. The past of Ireland is covered with a feud among the Irish, I love how the Story brings it into the fold. I love the direction it has taken and the cause for it to unravel it show the manipulation that can easily be done with people none the wiser.
Absolutely love it!

ANOTHER GREAT BROTHERHOOD PROTECTORS: INTERNATIONAL

Hey there, fellow adventure junkies! Get ready to dive into the absolutely wild and totally thrilling world of Elle James’ Brotherhood Protectors International series! In this rollercoaster of an installment, our buddy Jack Collins heads off to Dublin — yep, the lively Irish city — undercover style, to crack the code on some sneaky digital mischief stirring up trouble between the Irish Travelers and the Radical Nationalist crew. Talk about high-stakes undercover work!
Things kick off when Jack strolls into a cozy little pub owned by Emily O’Brien. From there, it’s a whirlwind of excitement — her Uncle gets attacked, and suddenly Jack’s neck-deep in a maze of danger, secret tunnels, masked goons, and mercenaries ready to cause chaos. It’s like a action movie come to life!
Meanwhile, the sparks fly between Jack and Emily, starting off slow but growing into something really special — sending warm fuzzies through the pages while adding some serious emotional oomph to all the suspense and daring rescues. Fans will love the crazy characters, rapid-fire plot twists, and exotic Irish backdrop, though some might wish their romance had kicked off sooner or sizzled a bit more early on.
With all the suspense, secret plots, and just the right dash of romance heat, this book is the perfect combo of mystery, adventure, and good old-fashioned fun!

I am obviously odd person out here, but I did not really follow the book. To start with, it took me a while to figure out who the Travelers were. They sounded like a mafia family. They took protection money. They wanted Emily's family to sign the bar over to them. Then it was revealed that they were Gypsies. They did not appear to be nomadic in this story. Then you had the so called feud with the Nationalists. Sounded like two warring mafia families or gangs. Emily and her brother grew up in the US to get away from the demands of the Travelers. Again, this sounded more like the mafia.

I did like the characters of Jack and Emily. But, the I did not like the story except.

When the culprit instigating the violence was found out, I did not understand the person's problem. Yes, the culprit was angry with a family member, but that did not justify the violence.

I have read several books by Elle James and enjoyed them. This is the first book I have read in the International series. The only reason I read it is that I have spent many enjoyable times in Dublin over the years and was expecting descriptions of Dublin. There was very little about Dublin. I will stick to her other series.

I loved this read as part of Elle James Brotherhood Protectors International series. Elle has a way of making each book seem fresh, there are so many books within this fantastic world, yet each one brings something else to the table. Something unique that just bolsters an already fantastic world!!

Jack and Emily’s story is so flawless. Their attraction and bond almost instant and strong enough to weather any storm.

I love Jack’s protective alpha nature, but watching him treat Emily as an equal was so heartwarming. It showed how much he valued her as a person and that he thoughts were just as important to him as his was to her.

Emily is a brave and independent woman who takes no messing from anyone. I love how dedicated she is and her strength of character.

Watching the two of them work together with Feargus and other brotherhood protectors to de-escalate the tensions and violence was compelling and addictive to read.

Once again Elle James has knocked it out of the park with this wonderful read. I would highly recommend.

Join the international world of the Brotherhood Protectors in this next saga taking place in the "Emerald Isle and the land of leprechauns". Dublin Debacle is book #4 in the series by Elle James. It's a standalone but benefits from having a little bit of backdrop- not a hard thing as the books are all great reads.
Our hero Jack is working under the radar for the Brotherhood to find the source of deadly disinformation and turmoil being spread in Dublin between two differing factions. Our heroine Emily is dealing with the fallout from the death (ahem) of her father and escalating danger to her family. The basic job for these two in their own words: "What do you say we stop a war and get on with life?" Piece of cake:) Conspiracy, drama, death, surprising twists, and romance rolled into one rollercoaster story! I was happy to read and review this book

I'm enjoying the Brotherhood Protectors International series. In this book, Jack Collins, one of the International Brotherhood Protectors, is undercover in Dublin, trying to find out who is stirring up old hatreds between the Irish Travelers and the Radical Nationalist movement. Emily O'Brien's pub is a place of interest, so when her uncle is attacked at the pub, Jack knows he will need to protect Emily and her family while trying to solve his case.
This story has an international location, interesting characters, suspense, plenty of action, a growing attraction between Jack and Emily, and some appearances from other Brotherhood Protectors we have met in this International series. You'll be swept into the story and not let go until the end. I received an ARC copy of this book, enjoyed the story, and have chosen to leave a review.

Jack’s new assignment with the BH sends him to Dublin and befriending the owner, Emily, of a pub. Posts to incite violence has come from her IP address and Jack is there to investigate and to stop whoever is spreading the hatred before it gets out of control. Luckily for Emily that Jack is there, he saves from a kidnapping and helps her Uncle after a beating. As the two investigate, tensions rise, violence is out of control and Jack and Emily find a connection between them that is hard to resist.
A great read with suspense, twists and turns, surprises, secrets revealed, steam and great characters. The story flowed nicely and I really liked these two, Emily could hold her own and wasn’t afraid to get her “hands dirty” and Jack respected her independence and drive.

I received a free copy of Dublin Debacle: Brotherhood Protectors International Book 4 by Elle James, and this review was given freely.
A story of despair, grief, and spite, combined with a drama-packed and fast-paced instant attraction romance.
Former American Army Ranger Jack Collins is sent undercover by the Brotherhood Protectors International to locate and stop the source of the uprising and deaths resulting from two warring Irish factions. Fortunately for Irish bartender and owner Emily O’Brien, his first stop is in the Tap and Tankard minutes before an abduction attempt.
18+ for steamy intimate scenes.

I'm not sure if I was in the right headspace to read this book. I normally do not struggle in the least with an Elle James novel. This one I picked up and put down a number of times.

I liked both Jack and Emily. I liked Daphne. I was intrigued by what was going on with Uncle Lacey and Finn. I thought whatever might be happening between Aoife and Atkins was interesting.

Somewhere along the way, I lost interest in the Travellers story. I can't quite figure out why, but I struggled to finish this one. I will rate it for the elements I did like about the book. I would recommend that you read the book and judge for yourself.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.

in Pursuit of…

Jack and Emily. Both new to the series. Jack is a new member of Brotherhood international and Emily is a owner in Dublin who finds herself and her family in trouble regarding Irish politics and political factions. Their chemistry is immediate and so is the action and danger. The tenseness is felt with the inflammatory comments and actions. Some avoidance at the family level causes strife and adds another element to the mystery the team and Emily is trying to solve. The ending was unexpected and very well done. I liked the twist of villainy and am excited for the next book.

Non Stop Action!

I am thoroughly enjoying this wonderful series. Intriguing locations and highly skilled, trained Brotherhood Protectors are supremely awesome. The descriptions of the locations they are sent to give a sense of reality to the story, while the skills they have acquired in their former careers provide the ability to adapt to any and all circumstances. Heart-pounding, non-stop action, edge-of-your-seat suspense, and some very highly skilled individuals in the background provide whatever type of assistance that may be needed. A side of romance and some spicy moments between the rescuer and the person in danger make this a very satisfying read!

Jack is sent to Ireland to find out who is stirring up trouble between the Travelers and the Nationalists and trying to start a war. Jack meets Emily who it seems her family is in the middle of this. Someone is trying to kill her family one by one. With Emily's help they are starting to figure things out and who maybe the flamethrower is. It's a fast-paced suspense story with danger, twists, some humor between Jack and Emily who have a great connection, and we see some of the other members of the brotherhood when trouble really gets going.

Trouble and love in Dublin

Jack is sent to Dublin to identify a troublemaker who stirring up discord threw emails and texts between two Irish groups with past histories of conflict. Jack is a Brotherhood Protector who begins looking for the instigator at a pub where he meets Emily, the pub owner. Neither knows this meeting will lead to both of them being involved in dangers that include masked men, fist fights, secret tunnels, mercenaries, balcony rescues and hot romance. Elle James keeps us reading the good stuff.

I really enjoyed this story set in Ireland. It was a little different to the other Brotherhood stories. We find Jack undercover in a local pub trying to find out who is sending messages. Unrest is simmering between two Irish groups. Are either to blame or is there sabotage and for what reason?
Emily runs the local pub and Jack comes to her rescue, this ties them together throughout the story. Full of action and mystery I was gripped to my kindle until the end.

Surprisingly different from the usual plot coming from the Brotherhood’s Protector Series. I loved this story firstly because the setting is in Dublin. The main characters have a very strong feature and they have a passionate soul. In this book the main theme is about the sense of idealism which pervades the Irish traditions. The hero works undercover and the heroine is a beautiful and strong woman. A very involving story that could be read in one sitting.

Jack and Emily are very likeable characters. I was given an ARC for an honest review and I loved it. There’s lots of action, suspense, mystery and romance. I loved getting to see characters from the other books in this series. I recommend this book.

This book has twists and turns that will keep you reading to see who is causing trouble in Ireland. They are pitting the Nationals against the Travelers to start the trouble that has been stopped for decades. Try to figure out the person that is causing all the trouble that the Brotherhood Protectors were sent to stop. Emily is the person that gets to Jack. She is a fiery Irish lass that runs a pub that has been passed down for generations. A great book.

A great story. Emily and her brother Flynn moved to Ireland after their mother died to get to know their dad. She runs the family pub and meets Jack. Jack works for Brotherhood Protectors and is sent to Ireland to find out who is stirring trouble between the Radical Nationalist and the Travellers. Is it connected to her family. Must read to find out. I read an arc of this book and this is my review.

Jack and Emily

Emily inherited the family pub after the death of her father. Jack as part of the Brotherhood Protectors assignment was to investigate the rising anger between the Irish Travelers and the Nationalist . Propaganda was being posted and it was traced back to the IP address of the pub. Jack is at the pub and gets caught up in Emily nearly being kidnapped while trying to protect her uncle. The action and mystery unfolds to a HEA.

Jack and Emily.

Emily's family has owned the Irish pub for decades. It was passed to her grandmother and then to her father. Now she and her brother, Finn own it. Jack is in Dublin on assignment. It starts at the pub. He meets Emily. A friendly, kind person who takes no crap. She rescues herself and others a few times. Jack almost has a heart attack on some them. As they chase down the culprit trying to start a war they fall for each other. Loved it.

That was really interesting how that turned out. I wasn't expecting it. There was 2 many deaths on both sides, but why? Who would stoop that low 2 sture of hate and bad things 2 innocent people? It's crazy how it turned out. The 1 person I figured was behind it thankfully wasted. Lol I thought about it and I don't quite understand the ending at all.
