Big Mouth: The hilarious and heartwarming dive into the hyperactive life of Vogue Williams – TV Presenter and Podcaster, new memoir from the 2025 I’m a Celeb Star
"Like hanging with your funniest, sunniest, most sound, wise friend. " – Marian KeyesEverything good, bad and downright mad that has shaped Vogue’s life and career is laid bare in Big Mouth.
So get ready for sharply observed, hilarious and very personal insights into divorce, anxiety, family life, and showbiz, alongside important life lessons, such as how to sellotape a bottle of vodka to your inner thigh on a night out and why you should never be friends with a celebrity.
Growing up in her beloved Howth, a seaside town in Co Dublin, Vogue’s life had its ups and downs. Her parents separated when she was five, a time in Ireland when priests were still ranting against broken marriages from the pulpit. Bouncing between the routine of her mum Sandra’s house and the pub for a few years (her dad, Freddie, was ‘fond of the drink’), everything changed overnight when Sandra (a complete ride) met Scottish businessman Neil and they moved to the big house on the cliff.
In the school halls of Santa Sabina, Vogue made friends for life and spent her teenage years hanging out around off-licences, playing Beat the Slapper and getting kicked out of home. After school, she was packed off to Aberdeen by Neil to begin her short career as a builder but soon jacked it in when she was cast in reality TV show Fade Street.
What follows is a behind-the-scenes peek at a rollercoaster life full of highs, lows, marriages, mistakes, misdemeanors and triumphs. Loudly, Vogue tells her whole story, moles and all, for the first time in this candid and funny dive into her hyperactive life.
Don’t judge me ! I like Vogue but I didn’t enjoy this book … maybe it’s just me but I don’t see the point of writing a book about your life & naming nobody . Either own it and take the consequences or don’t write a book at all which is supposed to be about your life story . Also I expected photos ??? Maybe it’s just the kindle version that doesn’t have them !!
Listening to Big Mouth in Vogue Williams’ own voice felt like catching up with someone you’ve known your whole life. As a dedicated fan of all three of her podcasts, this audiobook felt like a longform solo episode—without the co-hosts, but with all the charm, humour, and heart we’ve come to expect from Vogue.
The stories are candid, upbeat, and often laugh-out-loud funny. There’s a lovely chronological flow that ties her experiences together—from childhood to motherhood—with some more personal insights that she hasn’t shared as openly online, like her first marriage.
Hearing her words in her own voice made the listening experience even more special. It’s a heartwarming and thoroughly enjoyable listen, and if you love the audiobook, I cannot recommend her podcasts enough. Much praise for a kind, uplifting and authentic memoir that I will be returning to listen to again in the future. I hope that one day she pens another!
*I also read and reviewed the physical copy—because I couldn’t get enough !
I really like Vogue and was interested to hear about her life. Initially strong start but I feel like it lost its way towards to end (especially the last chapter!) Parts of it were quite repetitive. I agree with other reviews that mention about not naming people for bad behaviour, we want to know! I wanted to like it so much more than I did, but I think I’ll just stick to listening to the pods for now.
I’m so sad, love Vogue so so much and listen to all of her podcasts but the book just felt like recycled content - have already heard pretty much everything she mentions. It feels like she was trying too hard for it to be comedic and just comes across as quite superficial. So sad. Still love Vogue forever tho ❤️
Oh Voguie - I'll gobble anything she outputs and this was like one long podcast and the ideal companiion for my Friday roadtrip! Slightly sad for not as much juidey bits but like any good irish gal - she'd never snitch.
