When a dear friend passes away, three women find a letter, a letter that will send them off on three very different paths to seek love and see the world as a final request (you have to read it to find out how this goes down, it's really sweet, you don't want to miss it!). The three short stories in this collection follow these three friends on their individual "quests".

"The Empress of Ireland" is the first story with Ireland being the direction the first woman takes (which was probably pretty obvious there). Although the trip may just have a few very bumpy, if not hilarious for us readers though perhaps not so much for poor Laila, moments the trip winds up being one that ends exactly as it should. This is a wonderful short story and one that I'm so glad I didn't miss!

"Island Bride", the second story in this collection, takes the next friend on her own little adventure to New Zealand. She's a wedding planner and decides that she's going to take her work with her when she fulfills her part of the letters request. She sure does find a lot more than she was bargaining for and begins to learn the meaning of what it is her work is really all about. Plus, she's got a really great sense of humor that will have you laughing a time or two!

The last story, "Love is in the Air", takes the last friend to the Rocky Mountains. Sometimes, just sometimes, people just have that little spark instantly and when the forces of nature and a four legged friend are involved, well, who can get in the way of that! Sophie is a character that you just can't help but love from the very second you meet her and once you meet Jonas and Rex... it's just a perfect story with a perfect start, middle, and ending.

These three short stories are brilliantly connected and showcase not only love, friendship, and good ol' romance at it's very best but also the writing talents of these three writers. I would not miss this book if I were you. It's well worth reading!

I won this ebook through the Early Reviewers program on LibraryThing.com. In exchange for this book, I promised to give an honest review, and here it is.

All together, it was a fairly decent romance novel. It had three stories going off the same starting event: a friend died, and told her five remaining friends to go out and experience life and love by traveling. The first two stories were a bit cliché, but otherwise pretty cute. The third story annoyed me, and if it had been that story only, I would've given it two stars instead of the three I gave to the whole book. I've seen other people review compilation books by each story, and I like that so I’m going to give it a try.

The Empress Of Ireland by Jennifer Conner -
This story was absolutely adorable. The characters were interesting, the ending was a happy one (I love those), and the plot was all around great. The only thing I had a complaint about was that it felt like she left out about two-thirds of the story. They meet, they're attracted, they start flirting, and then... it's the end of the story, and their weeks of bonding is dismissed with one sentence. With romance novels, it's always best to add in the parts that led to the romance, last I checked. If she had included the entire story instead of skipping over the most important parts, I'd have given this one a much higher rating. For now, with what little is there, I give it three stars. Good, but missing way too much to earn more.

Island Bride by Danica Winters -
This one was also incredibly adorable. Not as cliched as most romance novels out there. Not very often that you get something like that happening (being vague so as not to spoil things for anybody). I still feel like some of the important parts were cut out, but this time it was only a few days' worth instead of a few weeks. Still, I prefer to read the story instead of being told that they fell in love when I wasn't looking. I'm a bit torn between three stars and four stars on this one, so I'll go a solid three and a half, leaning towards four. It'd be a full four if the author had added in the parts she seemed to have cut out.

Love Is In The Air by Sharon Kleve -
Ahh, this one. A large part of this story felt like she was writing about a preteen's first relationship. I never thought I'd say this about a romance novel, but there was way too much kissing. There were parts where almost every other sentence was them kissing. Also, the first kiss? That seemed a little bit sexual harassment-y to me. He'd only known her for a few minutes, and they weren't on a date, or anything even close to a date. If you cut out all the kissing (which was at least 40% of the story), it was a pretty good story. Until he decided to move to the city where she lived after having met her only a few days beforehand. There's falling in love at first sight (which never happens even remotely as much as it does in romance novels, and nothing like what happened here), but that just screams “Vegas wedding between drunk strangers!” to me. I've read so much better than this one, but I've also read far, far worse, so I would give it a hesitant two stars. I highly doubt I'll be reading anything else by this author in the near future, as well, if the rest of her work is anything like this story.

When their friend Janelle died, this group of women were in for a surprise at what she leaves for them. Through a letter, Janelle challenges each of them to have an adventure, see the world and look for love. She even provided them with a world map, push pins and a scarf to act as a blindfold when putting their pin in their destination. This is a wonderful look at three of the women's journey towards love.

The Empress of Ireland by Jennifer Conner - Laila Byrne is the first to pick her destination, but when she arrives in a small town in Ireland things seem to go wrong. It's pouring rain, nobody answers the phone at the B&B she's booked, and when she stops into The Empress of Ireland pub the waitress ignores her. Being a chef who knows how a restaurant should be run, so she angrily confronts the owner. She never suspected this meeting with Alasdair would change her life.
~As a bonus, this story includes recipes for Irish Fish Stew and Soda Bread.

Island Bride by Danica Winters - Amy Oliver, a wedding planner, is the next to take a trip. She decides to make it a working vacation when her pin lands in New Zealand. While staying at a small hotel while planning a wedding she's intrigued with Liam, the man operating the elevator. They get to know each better and their feelings come to a head after they're involved in an accident together.

Love is in the Air by Sharon Kleve - Sophie Grant's pin lands her in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Since she owns a used bookstore, she reads up to prepare for a 3-day hiking trip. But nothing could prepare her for meeting guide Jonas and his big dog Rex. The weather doesn't cooperate, but Sophie leaves with some wonderful photos and memories, but without her heart.

I really loved these stories and how they were connected. There are also two more friends that haven't had adventures, so I'm looking forward to reading their stories, too.

The Empress of Ireland - 4 stars
This was a quick, sweet read. Although this was short, I still feel like I got a complete story. Laila and Alisdair had good chemistry, and Gran added some humor to the story.

Island Bride - 3 stars
Another quick read. I didn't connect with the characters in this story, but it was still an enjoyable read.

Love is in the Air - 4 stars
Although the romance happened a little too quick, I still enjoyed this story. I liked Sophie. She was cute and brought humor to the story. She and Jonas had good chemistry. The ending was satisfying, but I was left wanting more.

I received this book from one of the authors in exchange for an honest review.

What a great premise for the anthology-the fulfillment of a promise to a dead friend. Janelle knew she was dying and kept it secret. In a note she left for them, she made them promise to each other and to her to go someplace they'd never been. The promise also had a time element. They each had to do it soon and not put it off for years. With that in mind, each story holds a special charm that the settings enhance and play a role in the ladies finding love.

If you like sweet, heartwarming romance with a bit of travel to different places, these stories are perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

***ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***

Three friends travelling to pin points on a map to fulfill a dead friends wish. Nice and heartwarming premise. The stories were short and cute so a quick and easy read. But being short, there was not enough character and plot development for me. I think the best one for me was "Love is in the Air" - it was more gradual and did not fall into the insta-love thing. All in all a nice collection...beach worthy!
