I was born in Manly on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, Australia and grew up in the west after we moved there to help my brother’s eczema which was made worse by salt air. I now reside in the beautiful sunny state of Queensland.

My dad had the biggest impact on my life. I have always had an overactive imagination and would often tell him stories which floated in my mind. He encouraged me to put pen to paper convinced that one day they would become published books.

Apart from marrying the love of my life, the highlight of my life was being accepted into Nursing just before my 16th birthday. It had been a long-time dream and one which encompassed 37 years of my life. Along with nursing, being married to a Naval Officer for almost 47 years, and posted in numerous places, gave me experiences which I have written into many of my books.

We enjoy traveling the country with our Caravan/RV, and Jack Russell puppy by the name of Gemma who will be joining us.

As my parents were British, never Australian citizens, I hold dual citizenship and we plan to take advantage of this to spend two years traveling the UK and Europe in the near future. It will also give me the opportunity to catch up with many family members who reside in England.

My books are in various genres - Western Historical Romance-both steamy and sweet, Contemporary Romance-steamy and sweet, Male/Male, Australian Outback and City Romance. I also have one menage and one paranormal romance along with two children's books. As I said earlier, I have a rather overactive imagination.

I hope you will pick up one of my books and when you close the cover on one of my stories it will be with a satisfied sigh.

CAPTURING CHARLIE is a heartwarming, romantic Western adventure with believable, relatable characters, vivid settings, well-written, natural dialogue, and honest emotion. Ms. Horsnell has given us an exciting story of a young man searching for renewed purpose to his life and a place to call home. His journey is filled with laughter and tears, regret and hope, fear and triumph. I was so taken by Charlie Maxwell and the two families he comes to love that I could hardly put the book down. I loved Charlie's patient kindness with Chance, too, as the two strays – one human, one canine – found unconditional comfort and companionship in each other's company.

Burned once too often in the game of love, Charlie no longer trusts women. He doesn't know what to make of his feelings for Josephine Platt, the young woman who tenderly cares for him when he is wounded. Jo, in turn, is unprepared for the intense attraction she feels for Charlie. Will they find their way through tangled emotions, uncertainty, and danger to a future together?

If you are looking for an appealing, exciting story to lift your spirits and brighten your day, don't miss CAPTURING CHARLIE!

A sweet western romance set in Texas 1886.
The author captured the countryside making the reader almost smell the dirt.
Charlie is running from deceitful women and sets out to make a new life for himself. An unforeseen event finds him in a stranger's home with the family caring for him while he heals. The young woman living there ignites passion between them, but he is determined to remain single. A dramatic turn of events could have him lose her! Will she survive?
I read this book in one evening as I couldn't put it down.
If you love a good romance with real characters and a HEA then this book is for you.
