In this last installment of the Fallen Brook series, we find Elizabeth heartbroken and seeking help from the last person you would think of, Fallon.

Jennilynn has your heart skipping beats, stomach in knots and your eyes crying like a baby.

Liz has done something that she can never forgive herself for and goes to Fallon for help. She leaves Ryder, the love of her life because she cannot deal with the guilt and pain she has caused. She knows that Fallon is a safe person although his reputation says otherwise.

Fallon has always loved Liz. Kitten to him, but he has never acted on those feelings. He has tried to tell her over the years that he can hurt her with his secret. What does Fallon know that would hurt her and change her opinion of him? Fallon takes Liz away from the place that is causing her all the pain and guilt.

Over a few months, they travel the world, but only as friends. Liz knows how Fallon really feels about her but they are friends and he is trying to help her heal.

As time goes by Liz does heal but then the secret that Fallon has been keeping comes out and she is broken. Can she survive this information or will it set her back? A secret that she has been keeping also comes out and more than her heart is broken.

This romance is not a all happy and lovey dovey but full of twists and heartbreak. Jennilynn does a fantastic job of grabbing a hold of your heartstrings and not letting go. The way she writes is outstanding. I cried many a tear reading this book but they were well worth it. You know it's a well-written book when you are so emotional that you actually need to take a break but you are so engrossed you can't put it down.
Jennilynn thank you for writing such an amazing series and for sharing your passion with us.

The 3rd book came across as juvenile, unrealistic and cheesy. They all are in love with the girl, why? Beats me. Other than going on about how hot she is, I see few redeeming qualities about her. Plus the final epilogue was stupid. I rolled my eyes through the majority of the dialogue and situations in this book and skimmed the last half just to find out what happened and whether it redeemed itself….it didn’t.

The finale to Elizabeth's story and what an ending! I'm so happy with it but at the same time it's bittersweet. You won't see the end coming.

The writing, narration, portrayal of the characters turmoils, everything was perfect. My heart broke and healed again. All loose ends were tied up but there were many surprises. I'm honestly happy with the ending but I wasn't expecting that at all. Also I'm mad at Jayson, I'm glad he found peace but I'm still on the fence about him. Honestly, Elizabeth deserved better and I'm glad she found her peace and love. Overall, a perfect conclusion to an emotional saga.

Ok so..... I loved this book sooooo much and for many different reasons. 1. The character development. 2. The characters who play a bigger part in this story. 3. The fact that Jennilynn Wyer made me cry a AGAIN. I am not one to cry over anything so if I do, you know it’s a good reason. This book will test your emotional stability the ENTIRE TIME. It was one of those books where there is never a dull moment. I recommend you have tissues next to you. The ending was expected but unexpected at the same time. The heartbreak that I felt for these characters was unreal. I had a little bit of a mental break down but it’s OK because that makes a good book.... right? Jennilynn Wyer did not disappoint when writing this roller coaster. If i were to compare it to a real roller coaster it would probably be the Yukon Striker. (My fellow Canadians know what I mean) there were so many twists and turns. The ending was so sad but happy. It answered all my question, even to the ones I didn’t think to ask. To close off all I have to say is.......

For some it the end of the story but for other it’s a new chapter.

I normally don’t write reviews…I just rate it. However, this is probably the best series ending I’ve ever read. It’s usually so predictable…girl gets guy, girl has happy ending with marriage and kids. This one does give you that, but then more. I always feel like I root for the underdog. And for her to end up with who she does, in an acceptable manner, I love it. I hope there will be another book as I would love to see what happens next for Elizabeth.

This one right here ….. all the feels. Betrayal, endless love, second chances, heartbreak. MAN THE HEARTBREAK. I love this beyond words, the story really unfolded in this book in a way I didn’t see coming. The ending threw me but also left me with so much anticipation for what’s to come. Elizabeth really has blossomed through out this series. Jayson, Ryder, Fallon- each one a different type of love but all love nonetheless. Just absolutely amazing ❤️

Absolutely loved this series but the ending literally gutted me. It would be the only thing I would change about the book as I absolutely loved Ryder and would loved for him and Elizabeth to have grown old and grey together.

Broken Butterfly is the third installment in the Fallen Brook series, and it truly made me feel a whirlwind of emotions. Throughout reading this book, I was hoping that Elizabeth would finally achieve her happily ever after with the one she loved, but she had to resolve some issues before that could happen. After the cliffhanger in the second book, I realized that the only person who could help her and provide a distraction was Fallon. I was particularly intrigued by him, especially finding out in this book that he had a crush on her for a while. One thing about Fallon is that he is very respectful and protective of those he loves, and Elizabeth is included in that protection, and you’ll find out what he does for her in this book. I loved getting to know his character more since he had been a mystery since book one.

Fallon ended up being the supportive friend that Elizabeth needed throughout everything, but he is also hiding a dark secret that will finally be revealed in this book. I thought I had figured out what happened to Elizabeth and her family in the first book, but Jennilynn Wyer threw in several twists and turns that kept me on my toes. I’m so glad that Elizabeth finally got the closure she needed, and she was able to discover who she truly loved in the end. She has been through so much since the first book, and Jennilynn Wyer is still going to put her through a lot, even in this installment.

I loved who Elizabeth chose in the end because he was the better fit for her. I had always been rooting for this MMC to win her heart. He loved her from the moment they met and treated her like a queen. On the other hand, I was disappointed with how Jayson’s character developed in this book. I understood that he was upset, but he had no right to treat Elizabeth the way he did. I lost respect for him after a certain scene, though he did make amends. Ultimately, he won’t be a character I’ll admire as much as his twin brother, who was there for Elizabeth through it all. I just found out that Julien has his own trilogy, so I need to read his books as well.

Here’s the thing: I wasn’t expecting another cliffhanger at the end of the epilogue. Jennilynn Wyer, you sly author! Just when I thought Elizabeth was finally going to have her HEA, you twisted the story at the last moment. Don’t worry; Elizabeth does achieve her HEA in this book, finding happiness with the man she has truly loved for a long time. However, it seems she may also discover another form of joy later in life with someone else. It’s true what they say about Jennilynn Wyer’s books: she is the Queen of Cliffhangers, and she’s also known to make you cry. Make sure to have tissues handy when you read this series because you will definitely need them.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Single/Dual/Multi-POV: Multi-POV

Review of Broken Butterfly by Jennilynn Wyer
* * * * *
The grand finale that will have you guessing, wondering, wishing and bewildered with who falls, who breaks and who has their happily ever after.

After one mistake, Liz runs to the one person you would not believe to find soliace. She needs to find herself. The Old Elizabeth and her new found self are battling it out for control and it may have already broken what happiness she had found after all her tragedy and pain.
In steps Fallon.
He's a curious, sharp-tongued man who loves popping up in her life, and he is just the person she needs right now. Fallon will do whatever he can to help her find what she needs, to find her happiness...even if it doesn't involve him.
For Fallon has a dark secret.
A dark past.
A promise that Liz overlooks...he is to be a villain in her story.
As her past horrors finally get the resolution that is needed for Liz to move on, she must also try and fix what is broken and accept the path she has chosen is what she wants...and hopefully that happiness still wants her too.

Yay! Loved it! Didn't expect a lot of the shockers until towards the end and it all makes total sense! It is all bittersweet, some moments more of one than the other, and it just pulls everything together in a bow of satisfaction.
In the beginning of the series, I was confused at how she had three friends and was in love with two, and how one was not really totally involved with their own dramatic love affair with Liz - not that it wasn't complicatied. However, this book provided what I needed and it was great that I did not find it predictable.
Absolutely fantastic series!

I don't know what to say, other than I can't stop thinking about the last half of this book. My heart was slowly being put back together and then it was broken all over again. This book was Elizabeth's journey to figuring out what she wants after getting her memory back. She was conflicted between who she used to be and who she is in the present time. Everything led her to get help from the last person she never thought she would reach out to, Fallon.

I loved the building friendship between Elizabeth and Fallon, and how she brought out a different side to him. The twist about his family took me by surprise, but even with all of the secrets, Fallon did everything possible to protect her from everything and everyone. In the end, Fallon and Elizabeth needed each other to heal from their pasts and be able to move on. As much as I love Ryder, this book also made me fall in love with Fallon and how much he really cares for those who he is close to.

My opinion of Jayson has not changed since the first book. I never cared for him because even though he did love Elizabeth, he treated her like she was his property and got jealous of everyone else who was close to her, but he never realized that his actions were pushing her away. The way he went off on everyone when she chose Ryder says a lot about his character, especially since he did Ryder wrong in the first book by asking Elizabeth out right after Ryder talked about having feelings for her. Ryder was the mature one in that situation and supported them, even though it hurt him to do so.

I know there is supposed to be another book with the way this one ended, and I hope it also has a happy ending. I don't think I can handle more heartbreak from these characters.

**Contains Spoilers!! Wow, it's been awhile that I've read a series/author that gave me every single emotion imaginable. I've never laughed, cussed and cried as much as I did with these books. From the characters to the cliffhangers, you'll need a glass of wine or two!! I won't list every detail in this review but seriously, this was an amazing series that kept me captivated. Although, I've never personally had a great friendship like Elizabeth had with Jayson, Julien and Ryder (additionally Fallon and Trevor) I can understand how she had the compacity to love each of them. Broken Butterfly, brings the series together and I think Ms. Wyer ended this series beautifully. I think Elizabeth ended up with the HEA she deserved and anyone would be blessed to have with Ryder. So, glad we got to see bits of the life they got to build. I do wish we could have seen more of where Jayson ended up in life and if he became a better person. I could have strangled his character the most! I think Fallon ended up being the one that was the most Misunderstood, but the one that anyone would be lucky to have. Great all around story! Certainly, a 5 star read!!

I am shaking in awe.

Choices have led Elizabeth astray, to her love, and thru the aftermath of the the murder of her family. Every choice may not have been the right one, but it leads her life in the only way that I can see her life going.

I am in awe of this book. The details, the lesson that love is infinite, but the line between love and hate is not.

The struggle is real in the love triangle between Ryan, Jayson , and Elizabeth. Her memories come back, and her view of herself is shattered. She is two people: before the murders and after. It may sound odd, but she lives two lives, found two loves, made two separate choices. So who is she really now ?

Bless Fallon. That man has my heart. I’m officially licking him. He knows how to navigate Elizabeth’s nightmares even knowing that he may be her nightmares. Get ready for some serious chaos, trauma, and tears in this book. I loved the extended epilogues. Y’all…you’re not ready. I thought I was and I was not. I’m sobbing because it was so perfect.

Broken Butterfly by Jennilynn Wyer is the conclusion in the Fallen Brook Series and wow.... this book did not disappoint. The conclusion finally answers the mystery and it was not what I had expected.

Elizabeth, Jayson, Ryder, Julien and the rest of the crew took me on a wild and emotional ride that I will not soon forget. That's saying a lot since I have horrific memory. 😂

When I said that book 2, Paper Stars Rewritten, was a bumpy road, well, this one was down right earth shattering. I finished this book with conflicting feelings of happiness and fullness but also had my heart broken at the same time. The ending was powerful and real. The emotions has my heart hurting. It's a happy ending with a lasting pain that you will understand when you finish reading the series.

This whole Fallen Brook Series took hold of me and held me prisoner in their world until the very end. It took me on every emotional spectrum and spit me out with so much intensity that I'm left comatose and breathless.

This book... this series... it will keep hold of me for a lifetime.

5+ 🌟 Wow!

Ms. Wyer will have your heart skipping beats, stomach in knots and crying like a baby. I knew this one was going to be emotional but no matter what, each time I read Broken Butterfly, I’m a complete mess after. Even as I write this review, I’m fighting off the tears once again.
Broken Butterfly is a romance unlike all others. It is not all happy and lovey dovey but full of twists and heartbreak. I cried many a tear reading this book but they were well worth it. You know it's a well-written book when you are so emotional that you actually need to take a break but you are so engrossed you can't put it down.
As I turned the pages of Liz, Ryder, Jayson, Julien and now Fallon’s story, I was surprised by the fact that Liz turned to Fallon for help. He is the last person you would expect her to turn to for help. He has this bad boy persona that has people afraid of him and makes him feel that he is not able to love or deserving of love. Fallon takes Liz away from all the chaos that his happening in her life. While traveling the world, we find out that they have a lot in common when they exchange a secret for a secret.
I loved how Fallon showed us the person behind the mask. Each time he showed the love he had been hiding, my heart fell for him more and more. Yes, he had the capability of shattering Liz’s heart but he was also the one who saved her.
Be prepared for the ending. Talk about crying like a blubbering baby. I can’t wait for Reflections of You.

Words honestly can’t describe how I feel about this one. It’s such a beautiful part of Elizabeth's journey to her HEA. Finally, being able to discover the man Fallon truly is and how he literally sneaks up into your heart was amazing. The friendship that Elizabeth and he build is strong. I think it took Elizabeth’s life to fall apart for her to appreciate and connect to Fallon. Jenni captured this.

When Elizabeth finally finds herself again, with the help of Fallon, she can finally live the life and be the person she wants to be. Jenni makes you feel so many things throughout the book, and so many of them were both happy and sad tears. When a book can make me cry, it really has captured my heart. I can’t say much about who Elizabeth chose as it would spoil everything, but it was the right choice. Jenni makes it possible for both of the main mmc’s to get their HEA, or at least start the path to theirs.

I’m warning you now that the ending will make you feel a lot of things, and if you fall for both men who capture Elizabeth’s heart, this ending makes you completely sad but at the very same time happy as well. It ends in a cliffhanger, and the fourth book will be the true ending of how this will all finally end, and hopefully, everyone left without some closure will get it. Grab the tissues and fall in love with this story, and fall in love with Fallon and learn how he will get his HEA.

This is the much anticipated finale of the Fallen Brook series.

I am still on the fence about how I feel about the end. Last night when I finished it I was so mad, this morning I am more at ease with it. I love when an author can put me through the ringer like Jennilynn did. It may not have been what I was hoping for or expecting, but she took me through all of the feels and expectations that I was hoping for in this series.

Loose ends were tied up, decisions were made, feelings were hurt, hearts were broken then mended, I yelled in absolute frustration, I had a cat just at the mouse grin on my face, hours of silence as I read page after page unable to put it - I truly went through it all.

If you are looking for a series that will take you on an emotional ride, the Fallen Brook series is it for you!

Elizabeth Makes Her Choice

The ending was “chef’s kiss”. So much going on in this book. The author does a good job of answering all of your questions that have culminated over the last two book.

I won’t give anything away, but to say I’m glad Elizabeth finally took a stand for herself and what she wanted. Yes, she had some help from a certain friend, but she finally figured out how she wanted her life to go. You had the perfect combination of angst, heat, and laughter.

The epilogues were some of the best writing. It got me right in the heart. We may get a book for and I’m here for it! Cause life doesn’t stop in your twenties!!

Wow I loved the conclusion to this beautiful love story. It was a little sad knowing what happened to R but in a way I'm glad F gets his wish too I think he deserved it for everything that he did for protecting L and you could tell he loved her and I'm sure R was happy with who stepped up and took his place. I really enjoyed this whole series, im even going to read the other books related to this series I enjoyed it that much. Can't wait for book 4 of this series to come out 2024 so we can see where everyone ended up I can't wait to see what the author did with it. Highly reccommend.

I was so not ready for this book. I was ready, but the author wrecked me with this one. The author gives her name credit, again. That cliffhanger at the end of the book, I was just like ‘no what, this can’t be it?’, but sadly, yes, for now, this is it.
The entire Fallen Brook series has got me on edge. I loved every single thing in this book. I knew partly how the story would go, but there is lying so much more underneath that I didn’t knew about when I read Julien’s books.
If you’re new to Miss Wyer, I would definitely recommend this series to start with.
Oh, and now the wait for Fallon’s book begins…

I received a free ARC from Hidden Gems for the promise of an honest review.

This book is is the final book of the Fallen Brook Series and it is not a stand-a-lone.

This is the story of Elizabeth deciding her fate. She has dealt with the loss of her family to a violent murder. She has gotten her memories back. She has her best friends back and new friends. It it time for her to chose who is her forever love. She has to chose between Jayson, Ryder and Fallon. As she is navigating her way through love a new threat is thrown get way.

This isn't your typical love story. The characters are relatable and captivating. This book is a satisfying end to Elizabeth's tragic life.

I did not expect that ending. I cried and I cried hard. I have read the first book of the series by accident. I loved it. I couldn’t get enough of it.

Then I read the second one and it was better more mature more real. But this one really did me a number. Unfortunately happy endings are not forever and the choices we make in life have some hearts broken. It was raw and real and the ending was good. Was real.. and I cried a lot.

But …… I will have loved a second change with jay. A second chance in love or friendship. A better ending between them. Maybe Fallon could have his happy ending years before after everything. But nevertheless it was a good series. 👌

Slow burn series but worth the wait!

I rarely cry when I read a series, but this one gave me so many feels -good and bad- and made me spill actual tears. That means that emotion spills out of the author’s words in a truthful, palpable way. This is the second time I’ve read this series. And the second time was as good as the first. There were things that made me mad, sad, happy and rolling with laughter. Very well written—can’t wait for the spin-offs!!

Oh My Gosh

What a series!!! This ending. I am rubbing my eyes and trying so very hard to stop the tears from falling but I'm failing miserably, that final epilogue... make sure you have plenty of tissues at hand. Everything Elizabeth went through, the laughter I've had, the tears I've spilled, my emotions were all over the place. A fantastic series, Ryder & Fallon were definitly my favourites of the boys throughout the series.

Another ARC for this one and another roller coaster ride of emotions! The series is just so dang good! All of the ups and downs all of the hard moments in the good moments and everything in between and just enter play between the characters, the love that exist between the characters and the complexities of the relationship relationships, and how all of their lives, intertwine and ways no one could have predicted! Going through such an unimaginable trauma coming back healing, growing learning all of the things they’re not only Elizabeth, but the whole cast of characters has to go through is just madness, but so compelling and just fascinating! Even the parts of the story were really hard to read. I super enjoyed this one and I definitely did not expect things to turn the way they did throughout the book, but especially at the end And I am just feeling all of the emotions but also just so much anticipation to see where this story heads next I feel like it’s not always easy to keep so on their toes, but these kinds of stories and this one just doesn’t stop and the best way!

Wow, where do I start!!? I’ve read every single book in this series & they just keep getting better! Broken Butterfly takes the cake! There is so much to take in this story & I was hooked! I devoured this book! The book had me happy, laughing, sad, mad & crying! You will definitely need your tissues for this one!

I truly love each & every single character in this series! But I will say I started falling for Fallon, the growth in his character! Wow! Although I still adore Ryder but Fallon you stole the show! Fallon would go to the ends of the world for Elizabeth! Elizabeth is so loved by each and everyone one of those men! But the ending, oh my goodness my poor heart! This story was amazing, real & raw! I don’t want to say much more, because everyone needs to read this series! It is a MUST!

Easy 5 ⭐️ from me! Amazing!

If you’re looking for a book that will absolutely destroy you, you have to read Broken Butterfly by @jennilynnwyer. Broken Butterfly is the third installment of the Fallen Brook series, and is by far my number one in the series. We got to see a different side of Fallon, and I absolutely love this side of him. I will always be Team Ryder, but Fallon is a very close second after seeing how he helps Elizabeth navigate this insane point in her life. This book constantly ripped my heart out and played with my feelings so much so that I chucked an innocent chocolate bar across my apartment hurting my shoulder. 😂 How I still had a voice upon finishing this book is beyond me. Amazing job Jennilynn, and I can’t wait for everyone else to read this on May 13! Now I’ll just sit here twiddling my thumbs and stocking up for Reflections of You. 😂

Broken Butterfly

This book's raw emotions will rip you apart!!

You're really are put through the ringer. I personally felt torn in two rereading this book because I loved Ryder and Fallon's characters so much.

They are all great characters that leap off the page at you. These books are so addictive you just can't put them down.

The next book to come is Fallon's story I'm crying already because I want him to have his happy, ever after so much.

Just WOW

Not a normal read for me but wow I have never fell in love like this. Interesting plot with so many twists and my assumptions were wrong.....THANK GOD. This writer is very creative and does a great job with her story. The end will trigger painful tears but relief will follow. I was hooked on the first 3 fallen series. Trust me.
