Seven years of regret. One last chance to get it right.
JASPER
When Natalie Choi left Sable Point—and me—seven years ago, she took my heart with her. Now she's back for her father's funeral, and the sight of her hits harder than a summer storm. I should keep my distance. Focus on saving my family's struggling orchard. Instead, I'm falling for her all over again.
But Natalie's hiding something. The orchard's finances don't add up, and she knows why. I need to protect my family's legacy, even if it means guarding my heart from the only woman who's ever owned it. Problem is, I'm finding it impossible to keep my walls up when she looks at me like she never stopped loving me either.
NATALIE
Coming home to Sable Point was supposed to be temporary—just long enough to settle my late father's affairs. I didn't expect to find his accounting firm in chaos, or the orchard owned by my first love on the brink of financial ruin. And I definitely didn't expect Jasper Everton to still make my heart race after all these years.
As I dig deeper into the books, I uncover mistakes that could destroy everything the Evertons have built. Keeping the truth from Jasper feels wrong, but telling him could shatter our fragile second chance. Now I have to choose: run away again, or stay and fight for the future I was too scared to want before—with the man I never should have left.
Reclaimed Roots is first interconnected standalone in the Sable Point series with a guaranteed HEA. This book is intended for mature readers, as it includes explicit sexual content, strong language, and adult situations.
Lauren Kiser is making the contemporary romance genre a little bit sweeter—and a whole lot steamier. Navigating life from the driver's seat of her minivan, this Midwest mom of two transforms the daily grind into sizzling adventures, capturing the hearts of readers who like their love stories with a side of sass.
Oh, Jasper and Natalie. The poster children for how not to communicate in a relationship. These two had been together since forever, but instead of having one adult conversation, Natalie took one look at their future, panicked, and left Jasper cold—right after rejecting his marriage proposal. And what did Jasper do? Absolutely nothing. No grand gesture, no chase, not even a slightly dramatic airport scene. Just vibes.
Fast forward seven years, and they’re both still pining over each other like they’re in a Nicholas Sparks novel. And for the first 40% of this book, we’re just reliving their best-of moments while they both try to gaslight themselves into thinking it’s the past. Spoiler alert: It’s not. It takes Jasper’s own brother kissing Natalie (I’ll give you a moment with that) for them to snap out of their delusions and realize—shocker—they still want each other.
Then, we get another 40% of pure relationship bliss. Cute? Sure. But where’s the drama? The angst? The emotional stakes? It’s all frosting and no cake. And don’t get me started on the subplots that went nowhere. Sammy the psycho ex-fling? Ignored. Chase’s mysterious downward spiral into heavy drinking? Never explained. The shady new biker bartender? Might as well have been a fever dream. Even the mystery with the numbers? Unraveled with the weakest explanation ever.
I wanted something—a little tension, a little depth, maybe an actual obstacle that wasn’t self-inflicted. But this book gave me the literary equivalent of a sugar coma. Cake is great, but too much icing? Instant heartburn.
“I only want you to kiss me.” Reclaimed Roots is a sweet, small-town contemporary romance.
It follows Jasper and Natalie who are childhood sweethearts. Once upon a time, Jasper and Natalie loved each other and spent every waking moment together. Then Natalie fled their small hometown for the big city. Upon her father’s passing, Natalie has to return to her hometown of Sable Point, Michigan and the chance of running into her past love, Jasper Everton. He worked so hard to forget her and everything that they had between them. Seeing each other at the funeral stirs up left over feelings that they each still have for each other.
First the good - I thoroughly enjoyed Jasper and Natalie’s journey. Being from a small town, I liked the small-town dynamic. I can appreciate a slower way of life and when it is written well. I can envision the set-up of the town and where everything is located.
I loved Natalie and the fact that she is a smart, confident, strong-willed FMC. She was able to come in and run through her father’s records to find the errors and help Jasper’s family brainstorm things to help the orchard.
A couple of things that I struggled with in the story was when they finally got together. I understand that they are end game; however, there was no conversation about protection or the fact that it wasn’t used. Also, it felt a little fast-paced for me. I feel like it could’ve been slowed down and given a little more detail. I feel like this would have been a good opportunity for a dual timeline: past-present.
Overall, I did enjoy reading this book and about Jasper and Natalie. I love them together and separate and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Tropes: 🍎Small town romance 🍏Second chance romance 🍎Family drama 🍏Loss of parent grief
This is the first book of Lauren’s that I’ve ever read and I enjoyed it so very much! I love a second chance romance, and this served up an excellent example of it.🩷
Our main characters, Natalie and Jasper, were the epitome of young love gone awry. After seven years apart, they are brought back together by unfortunate circumstances, and in the ensuing weeks, discover that their love might not be quite as deeply buried as they thought.
This book was sweet, compelling, full of great and vivid characters that I’m sure we’ll see more of throughout the series, and has a bit of intrigue for good measure.
Lauren‘s writing style is excellent, and kept me turning the page throughout the book, without a doubt. What an introduction to this series, one that I cannot wait to continue to read!
This is the first book by Lauren Kiser I’ve read, and it certainly won’t be the last! This small-town romance follows the Everton family, and book one is Jasper’s story. After the accountant for his family’s orchard—who was like a second father to him—passes away, his daughter and the love of his life (but also, the one who got away) returns to town. Seven years ago, Nathalie left Jasper without so much as an explanation. But as soon as she’s back, old feelings come rushing back for both of them, and Jasper and Nathalie must learn to trust each other again. That trust is deeply tested when Nathalie uncovers suspicious discrepancies in the orchard’s finances…
This was such a heartwarming story! I really felt the small-town vibe, and the map at the beginning of the book was the cutest. I loved the Everton family and their strong bond, as well as the close-knit connection Nathalie shares with Jasper’s family. Definitely an author worth discovering!
💬 Have you read this series yet? What did you think?
This is the first book by Lauren Kiser I’ve read, as I have jumped on the chance to join her book tour and read the Stable Point series in preparation for her fourth book coming out in October.
𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩: This small-town romance follows the Everton family, specifically the Everton brothers and book one is Jasper’s story. After the accountant for his family’s orchard—who was like a second father to him—passes away, his daughter and the love of his life (but also, the one who got away) returns to town. Seven years ago, Natalie left Jasper without so much as an explanation. But as soon as she’s back, old feelings come rushing back for both of them, and Jasper and Natalie must both learn to trust each other again in order to make it work. That trust is deeply tested when Natalie uncovers suspicious discrepancies in the Ever Eden Orchard’s finances…
𝙈𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨: Lauren said she is known for writing short and spicy stories just like her, and well, this was definitely a short and spicy story, but also a very heartwarming story! I loved the Everton family and their strong bond, the brothers' crazy, chaos and banter, as well as the close-knit connection Natalie shares with Jasper’s family. If you are a fan of short, fun and spicy reads, you should add Reclaimed Roots to your TBR.
This was a good read. I actually did not know what to expect since this was my first time reading this author’s work but overall, I found it to be quite enjoyable. I was able to read it all in one day because it was so engaging and very well written.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝: • I though Kiser did a wonderful job with the worldbuilding in the story. Her descriptions of the small town of Sable Point were well done and I could feel, see, smell the town, the community, and its people. I read as a form of getting away from my regular life so reading a book that allows me to imagine myself as part of the characters’ world is always enjoyable for me • I also really liked the characters, especially the Everton family. I liked how the author used the primary characters internal thoughts/memories and callbacks to help us get to know Natalie and Jasper. Though this method, we were able to see how they were childhood friends that became lovers and then something happened that cause them to have to go their separate ways. This is really helpful in seeing how they got to where they are when we first meet them in the story and why they ultimately make the decisions they make. I found the characters realistic and quite relatable • In the same vein, the secondary characters, Chase, Elliot, Charlie, etc really fit into the story and were not just there to be there. Because this is Book 1 of an upcoming series, I understood, and really really really liked how the author was able to flesh out the different members of the Everton family. By the end of the book, I was so excited to read more about Chase and Elliot (and Tessa?). Fingers crossed, that Book 2 is Elliot and Tessa’s story. The Everton family was very welcoming and loving. I loved how they embraced and were there for Natalie when she really needed them. • Lastly, this is a very slow burn. The couple does not actually get together until about 60% into the story. However, there was no point in the story where I felt it was repetitive or a drag. I actually appreciated that the author gave us a lot of back stories on the characters and the reason they broke up originally is not one that you would easily forgive a person for so the fact that they had to sit in the hurt and make amends before coming back together made the story more real. In real life, we are not so quick to forgive and forget, even when it involves a person, we love a lot • Natalie and Jasper’s chemistry was great and hot (yes, with around four open door spicy scenes, this one was steamy!) I also enjoyed their banter, and you could see that these were two people that grew up as friends, knew each other, loved each other very much but life just seemed to have gotten in the way and now that they have a second chance to be in each other’s lives, they have to work on getting back to where they were before • Lastly, I loved how something in the story, something that happened in the past, really makes you love and appreciate the cover even more. I was like aww, that is so sweet. The cover was a beautiful homage to Natalie and Jaspers love. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 • See spoiler section if interested. • But know that the writing, characters, worldbuilding were all well done and I would definitely recommend this book and would continue to read this series.

🅴🆇🆃🅴🅽🅳🅴🅳 🅳🅸🆂🅲🆄🆂🆂🅸🅾🅽/🆃🅷🅾🆄🅶🅷🆃🆂 • So, there were two things in the book that kind of sort of confused me. First, Jasper’s relationship with Sammy which I found to be a nonfactor and found Sammy to be delulu so I though there should have been more there; it just confused me a bit • And I really did not like Chase’s relationship with Natalie. At first, we are told they were friends and stuff and he is the only one that kept talking to her after she and Jasper breaks up but then, knowing that this is the love of his sisters’ life, he continues to pursue Natalie when she comes home. I was not liking this at all. I understand that maybe Chase was going through a lot, and he was making really bad decisions but I don’t know, I just did not like those scenes too much. I wanted to like and understand Chase so much but every time this topic came up, it made me upset. Lol. If it were not for this part, I would have rated the book a little higher because I actually really enjoyed this book. I was able to read it all in one day because it was so engaging and very well written.

What a beautiful story about finding your person at a young age. The story isn’t all sunshine and rainbows though. It is also a story about coming home, forgiving yourself and others, and trusting your heart to lead you down the right paths. Lauren delivered a love story that was perfectly balanced with heartache, romance, touch of drama, and family showing up for family.
Natalie thought she wanted more than her small hometown could provide for her. Dreams of leaving her tiny town, moving to the big city, and living out her dreams led her to breaking her own heart and the heart of the only boy she’s ever loved. When he asked her to marry him, she didn’t know how to answer, so she just left. Now she is back for her father’s funeral, seeing the boy she left once upon a time. Seeing him for the first time has hit her harder than she thought and is bringing back feelings she thought were long gone. Did she make a mistake coming home? Or was the bigger mistake leaving in the first place?
Jasper has always loved the girl next door. Her family watched them grow up together, becoming close themselves, and watched the heartache as the two separated when she decided to take off. He has never been able to forget the one who got away, no matter the dates and hookups. There is only one woman he will ever love. When he sees Natalie again, he isn't ready for the ache he feels, not because of the hurt she caused, but because he has missed her. It’s a small town, it will be impossible to not run into her while she’s home.
Lauren gives us relatable characters throughout this book. Both MCs and side characters add vital storylines to this book. I can’t wait to see how side stories become the main event as this series continues. The Everton family is wonderful to read about and I love the interactions between them all. Lauren doesn’t give us the perfect, small town life that many think they want. Instead she writes about a real family, with real troubles; and two people finding their way back to each other through healing and forgiveness. Heartwarming story that I loved reading.
As always, review any author notes before reading.

This story was everything and more that I would want from a small-town second chance romance! I got the family roots and involvement, the heartache and rebuilding, the sweet tender moments and some spicy ones too, all the built up tension and looks between the main characters and the beautiful town and scenery within the story. This was a first read for me for one of Lauren Kiser's books, and I am so happy I found her! She created such a beautiful second-chance love story for Natalie and Jasper in the small town of Sable Point. I really enjoyed the pacing of this story, I didn't feel rushed, and it flowed so naturally for these two. I also was a big fan of all the little insights into their past relationship when they would look back on memories. This one definitely tugged at my heart strings but in such a good way. I love a book that can pull so many emotions from me while I'm reading, and this one did just that!
A quote that really stuck with me that Jasper thought of from his Papa. "If the roots are strong, the tree will survive." The same thing can be said of for love, and that's exactly what Natalie and Jasper are trying to figure out in their story.
"If the roots are strong, the tree will survive... Perhaps true love was a lot like a tree... Sometimes life brought a storm and a few branches got knocked off, but if the roots were sound, we'd still be standing when everything blew over."
I was given a digital copy of this book from the PR team as part of the "Re-release Team". & I've got to say I quite enjoyed this book. It was cute with just a bit of spice. The connections between the characters were flawless. Each character had their own personality that lept off the pages. I could picture every one of them perfectly. & you could really feel the connection between Natalie & Jasper. Yes, this book talked about the troubles of the business & helping it, & the grief Natalie was suffering, but I felt like it was more about second chances & reconnection. Not just a second chance on love but on yourself, forgiving yourself for the mistakes you may have made in the past & finding a way to move forward. Reconnecting, again not just with your first love, but with the person you once were. This book is more than just a love story with another person, but with yourself as well. Or at least that's my take from it. I can't wait to see who she writes about next in book 2. Will it be Elliot? Or possibly Chase? Maybe even Charlie? I guess we'll just have to wait & see.
Natalie left the small town of Sable Point as soon as she graduated high school and hasn’t come back since. Although she kept in touch with her parents while away in the city, there is one person she left on bad terms with. The boy who had a piece of her heart. The boy she broke both of their hearts when she left.
What happens when she has to come back to Sable Point and face him again? Go read and find out because heart strings were pulled on like a string instrument.
Guys, if you are looking for a romance that will keep you up reading all night until you hit the end, this one is for you. Makes you want to cuddle up with a nice glass of cider or slice of apple pie and indulge. You’ll fall in love with the main characters instantly. Definitely share the spreadsheet life with Natalie. And don’t even get me started with how my heart felt for Jasper (obv Natalie too) but gosh, Jasper just wanted his girl.
A big thank you to Lauren for letting me arc read Jasper & Natalie’s story. Cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Jasper and Natalie were high school sweethearts. Best friends turned lovers and together up until she left after high school, breaking Jasper’s heart in the process. He tried to move on, but he never could. Now, it’s 7 years later, and Natalie is back in town for her father’s funeral. While cleaning some things up in her dad’s office, she notices some discrepancies in the finances for Jasper’s family's orchard, the orchard for which her dad maintained the books. The hard part is that during her time in town, trying to get things in order and close up her dad’s office, she’s getting closer to Jasper again. Now, she’s keeping this secret that might destroy them, and he’s also worried about getting his heart broken again, but neither wants to let go of the other. So, yeah, they have some things to figure out. Overall, it’s a sweet story that isn’t super spicy, but a solid read with some great feels!

It has been seven years since Natalie left the small town of Sable Point and the love of her life. She went to chase her big-city dreams and hasn’t looked back since. When she returns home unexpectedly, how do you face the past that you’ve worked so hard to forget?
Jasper has worked at the family business, Ever Eden Orchard like a dutiful son would. It has been a welcome distraction since the love of his life walked away without a second look. But now Natalie is back, and this changes everything.
I loved the slower pace of small-town Sable Point. Lauren does an amazing job of setting the scene and helping you picture the quaint town and smell the pie and apple blossoms it is known for.
Jasper and Natalie are the perfect pair. I love Jaspers' kind nature and the thoughtful things he does behind the scenes. Natalie is a strong and independent woman, who cares deeply.
I would have loved for this story to be longer, as I felt like I was just getting to know our main characters by the time the story had ended.
I cannot wait to revisit Sable Point and reconnect with the Everton siblings as they find their own happily ever after.

Natalie returns Home After the Loss of her dad, Bumping into her first and Only love Jasper all the feels come Back along with Alot of Hurt, Anger and Resentment
I love Small town Vibes!!! this Novel Seemed to Focus on the Main two Familys - their was Tension Between Brothers, and a mum and Daughter healing together. The odd Mention of other characters were there but they seemed more the Backdrop which is fine, but i missed meeting all those small town Quirky Characters
Natalie and Jasper dont Have much Communication during the first half of the book... But that moment outside her house where he hugs her and the tears pour out brought me close... it was a Perfect mooment for Me.... I also loved all the Intricasies involved in the Apple Orchard.... I have never read a book with an Orchard Before... i Loved the concept.
I felt the Ending Moved A Lot quicker than the Start but all in all it was such easy reading and Had alot of the feels
This book was a short and cosy novel. Natalie Choi grew up in a small quaint town named Sable Point but fled when she was proposed to at eighteen by none other than Jasper Everton.
Jasper has seen his life working on his family’s orchard trying to move past his love and feelings for Natalie, but when she returns home after her father’s death, feelings are stirred up for the both of them. Feelings that were buried come back to light.
My thoughts on the book-
I enjoyed this book. I felt like it was an easy read and right now that’s what I’ve been needing! It was easy to follow the history of Natalie and Jasper, and it did keep you wanting to read. The reason I am rating it a 4/5 is due to my own personal preferences in books, which is down to no talks of STI/STD’s before sex, just straight to unprotected and also the fact that I did feel like some of the writing at the beginning felt rather forced. All in all, I did enjoy this, and I love small town cosy romances 💚
Reclaimed Roots is a heartfelt story of love, regret, and second chances. Nicole and Jasper, who grew up as childhood sweethearts in Sable Point, are torn apart when Nicole, fearing the intensity of their relationship, flees to Chicago after rejecting Jasper’s proposal. Seven years later, she returns for her father’s funeral, bringing her boyfriend, Liam, with her. The emotional tension between Nicole and Jasper is palpable as old feelings resurface. As Nicole struggles with her relationship and Jasper faces financial troubles with his family’s orchard, they start to rebuild their connection. The book beautifully explores their journey of healing and reconciliation, with tender and raw moments. The small-town setting adds depth to their story, making it feel genuine and heartfelt. The ending is touching, with a sweet proposal in the orchard that brings their story full circle. Reclaimed Roots is a lovely reminder that sometimes love is worth fighting for, even after time apart.
I’m so thankful i was able to ARC read this. When i got to read a little of it awhile back i just knew i was going to love it. So i was so excited to get my hands on it! 🫶🏼
Lauren just knows exactly what to write for me to be INSTANTLY hooked like at 4% i was like.. she did it again. I was hooked into The price of love series (10/10 btw) and i just know this series will do the same for me.
It’s a small town/second chance romance and it was perfect. Right amount of angst and spice. The time apart. The circumstances on them coming back into each others life. The letters.. the letters🤧🤧. (Iykyk) My heart ached for both MCs. Natalie & Jasper.. i love them so much. I love how we got many Jas chapters. Like i want to what the MMC got going on there. Lol.
I could not put it down. I got to about 90% and just knew i needed to slow down because i didn’t want it to end. I’m so ready to see where Lauren takes this series.
There's something about second-chance romances that always gets to me, and Reclaimed Roots was no exception.
This book pulled me in with its deep emotions and the way it explored love, regret, and personal growth.
At first, the pacing felt a bit slow, but once the emotions started unfolding, I was completely hooked. The story made me feel everything-the longing, the heartbreak, the unspoken words. I found myself truly connecting with the characters, understanding their struggles, and rooting for them. The way the author captured their emotions felt so real that I couldn't help but get lost in their journey.
By the end, this book left me thinking about how time changes people and how love, no matter how far you run from it, has a way of finding you again. If you love stories that make you feel deeply and stay with you even after the last page, Reclaimed Roots is definitely worth reading!
Natalie Choi lost her dad and ever so sad she’s back in her hometown . The same one she fled seven years past chasing city dreams leaving behind her beau was so heartbreaking too. Sable Point still looked the same but it’s a different place from the town she ,eft and she’s so bereft ,it’s hard. Jasper Everton tried to forget his lost love , working hard on his family’s orchard. But he never really fully buried his feelings for her. We find out why Natalie ran all those years ago. Putting down roots is a hard thing to do . It’s permanence. Natalie discovers discrepancies that her father’s accounting firm hadn’t picked up . This means that Ever Eden Orchard is in trouble…she finally sees that her fears were for nought and she no longer feels fraught over the thought of putting down those roots. She helps out her friend ,could they be more once more and his family take her into their hearts too. Wonderful storytelling.
"For the first time in forever, I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. As I started to drift off, one word echoed through my mind. Home."
"Rebuilt trust. Renewed love. Reclaimed roots."
What a charming second chance romance read. I devoured this book as it was the perfect read and soup for the soul.
Natalie and Jasper were in so in love, everything seemed perfect. Until, Natalie decided to chase her dreams and leave Sable Point and Jasper. She left for years and never looked back until she found out about her father's death. Being back in town to help with her father's accounting firm brings up so many untouched emotions and all that she ran away from.
The dynamic relationship between Natalie and Jasper is just what I expected and loved. I enjoy their banter, their chemistry towards each other, and how they maneuver through so much emotion and feelings. The town makes me want to just curl up with a coffee and apple pie by the fireplace. I truly enjoyed this read so much and recommend it to anyone who loves an enjoyable, romance book.
Such a wholesome read 🥹 Reclaimed Roots is cutesy, heartfelt, and down to earth. A good short read, for a little pick me up! 🫶🏼
Tropes:
• Small Town setting • Second chance romance • Childhood sweethearts • Slow burn
All the warm and fuzzy feelings. Jasper and Natalie’s story is filled with emotional depth, realistic struggles, and a slow-burning rekindling of love that feels natural and well-earned. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the tension between past regrets and present hopes keeps the story engaging. The backdrop of the struggling family orchard adds an extra layer of heart, making this more than just a romance, it’s a journey of growth and redemption. Soo many “awwww” moments! 🥹
While some scenes felt predictable, the charming setting and genuine emotional stakes make this a thoroughly enjoyable read, highly recommended if you want something quick, heartwarming and fun! ❤️
I absolutely loved the characters in this story, along with the irresistible small-town charm and the heartwarming family dynamic. The close family bonds added so much depth, and Jasper and Natalie’s journey felt truly meant to be. Watching them find their way back to each other was both touching and satisfying—it was such an emotional and heartfelt experience that even made me cry. The story struck a perfect balance between being fun and sweet, with just the right amount of spice. I especially appreciated the deep feelings and emotions woven into the story and the beautiful second chance at happiness they were given. This book is a must-read for fans of love, redemption, and discovering home in unexpected places. I can’t wait to continue the series and immerse myself even more in this cozy, small-town world!
2.5 stars. Overall, this book was cute. I loved the found family aspect. I was a little confused on why we learned so much about a side character like it was pertinent to the plot, but then it didn’t turn into anything and we really didn’t get to the bottom of it either, it stayed unresolved. The build up of stress that was implied at the end seemed a little silly given that anyone with a heart would know it wasn’t their fault and the blame would not be rightly placed on them, and it felt… off that the fault was actually where it was. I kinda wish the blame would have been placed on that unresolved side story and then it could have become a story of forgiveness as well one of healing with that side story we kept being reminded of. It had a lot of great concepts and many great sections, but it didn’t quite come together smoothly and it felt hard to commit to being invested.
This book is everything you could want from a small-town second-chance romance. Set in the charming town of Sable Point, the story follows Natalie Choi as she returns home after years away, facing old wounds, family ties, and the love she left behind—Jasper Everton. Kiser beautifully captures the heartache of the past and the hope of rebuilding, weaving in family connections, emotional depth, and just the right balance of sweet, tender moments and simmering tension. The chemistry between Natalie and Jasper is undeniable, making every glance and interaction filled with meaning. This was my first read from Lauren Kiser, and I couldn’t be happier to have discovered her storytelling. She has created a heartfelt, beautifully written love story that lingers long after the last page
Several years ago, Natalie left her hometown and her love to chase her dreams. In the process, she left behind a broken heart, Jasper. Now, he spends his days working on his family's orchard to forget her. Then, when they cross paths, he's in disbelief of the feelings beginning to resurface. Natalie has to decide if she's willing to dig past feelings up and stay permanently or run away again. The only problem is there's a lot more to lose if she runs this time.
The emotions, the chemistry, the utterly beautiful romance, the scenery of this small-town, everything was perfect✨️💞🥹 The author really captured every single essence of this small-town and it's definitely one I wish I could be a part of. I adored these characters, and I really appreciate the overall atmosphere of this story. This was a new to me author, and I'm so happy to have found her writing!

Grumpy Jasper is only grumpy because his heart was broken by his first love. Seven years later, Natalie is back in his life after her dad passed away. Being back in the small town she grew up in, brings back so many feelings and memories. How can she keep them separate if Jasper wants nothing to do with her after how she treated him?
I had some wild theories with this book that I was sending to Lauren. 😂
Jasper was a delight. His truck picnic was swoon worthy. Chase had some funny moments in this one too. Elliot had some sweet moments. I love the Everton parents and grandparents too.

Okay I am obsessed with Sable Point - this small town won my heart over fairly quickly 🥹
Natalie finds herself coming back home after losing her father - not having been back since leaving to secure what she thought was her dream life. Only when she runs into the boy she left behind, Jasper, she realizes how big of a mistake she made 👀
Natalie & Jasper were truly the definition of ‘right person, wrong time’ & I loved watching them find their way back to each other while navigating difficult life changes
I can’t wait to get to know more about the Everton crew as this series unfolds - Chase especially has peaked my interest 🤭
Huge thank you to Lauren for the gifted physical copy of reclaimed roots 🫶🏻
Seven years since Natalie ran away from her small hometown, chasing her big city dreams, but at what cost? Seven years since she has seen the man she left behind with a broken heart.
Okay this was the cutest, sweetest romance I’ve read to date! I couldn’t put my kindle down. I am sooo happy I got picked for this arc.
I’ve been obsessed with small town romances lately, for me personally some books can have a bit too much spice and not enough plot but this book was the opposite! Perfect amount of each. If you are looking for a cute cozy read then this is the book for you!
