If I had to choose a fictional billionaire boyfriend, Spencer would absolutely be the one. He’s steady, protective, kind—and just a little bit broody in the best way.

The story starts with Carly running out on her wedding and taking refuge in what she thinks is her dad’s empty house. Turns out, Spencer—her father’s best friend—is living there. And the moment they reconnect, sparks fly. What follows is a slow-burn romance filled with emotional healing, sizzling chemistry, and real-life complications.

There’s a 20-year age gap, a persistent ex who won’t let go, and emotional wounds on both sides. But there’s also Lily, Spencer’s 12-year-old daughter, who completely adores Carly and adds so much heart to the story.

This book is beautifully paced, letting the relationship unfold naturally while still delivering plenty of tension and swoon. A truly lovely read.

Carly has finally had it with her controlling fiancé. After running into the neighbor's home, she realizes that she can't marry Trenton because of his controlling and manipulative ways. Spencer is shocked to have her in his home but after really seeing Carly he realizes that she is in distress and comes to her rescue. It starts their path and journey along the road to happiness. Will they get their second chance for happiness.

OMG 😱 this story is complicated and it was a steamy page turner and the suspense was too intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Spencer can't resist on helping Carly out when she is in need. Trenton was the man she post to married but she called out of love with him in this moment. It was a love triangle of a love affair and affection between them all. One night with him will change her life forever.
I definitely recommend this book and you won’t regret or be disappointed. I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones

When you read this HOT romance book by Rylee you are getting the full meal deal right here. You get a stellar storyline, very spicy and full of sizzle characters, and a HEA ending that makes your heart sing with JOY. When I say you need to trust me that this is a book you will want to read after a busy day it truly is. I have LOVED reading every book by Rylee so far and man oh man this book is at the top of my list of favorites.

Protection and Value

Spencer can't resist helping Carly when she is in need of his assistance. Despite their mutual connection and their age gap, the chemistry between them can not be ignored. I loved how protective he was with her and did what he could to help her feel valued. This was a fantastic read.
