midlife awakening
In many ways, I could see myself and my husband in the characters of this novelette. It really spoke to my soul as a woman and as an author who wrote her first romance at 45. This is something everyone needs to experience just to see what it might look like for them! Well Done!

Quick and hot
This was a short 4 chapter book that was so hot. A married couple with three kids (the youngest in 5th grade) had a bedroom session that changed their marriage forever. It may have been quick but it definitely had the windows fogging!!!

This was a short and spicy book that I’m glad I started. I enjoyed how relatable this book can be for someone who’s been in a relationship for a long time.

When I say relatable characters, this is what I mean!
Allie and Erik have been married for 18 years, and life has consumed them. It is all work, PTA meetings, grocery shopping, and making sure that the kids are taken care of. When they do talk it is often more about making sure the bills are paid rather than carving some time out for themselves.
All of that changes the moment Allie grabs a book from the local grocer and begins reading. The passion, fire, and need for the characters in the book have her craving her husband in a way she didn't even know she could.
And that need for him is where this journey truly begins...
OBSESSED is the best way I can describe my feelings for this story.
Skylar and Logan have given every married couple a guide on how to reignite that passion for their partner. It isn't easy and it can be scary admitting to new desires, but communication is the heart of this story.
We are just getting started on Allie and Erik's BDSM journey, but I can't wait to see what else is to come as they discover new things. Not only about each other but the things within themselves.

A really good, quick read. I think i read this in about 10 minutes, a good plot and amazing smut
I think a lot of couples are like Allie and Erik, stuck in a continuous loop of daily family life. The love between them both is like no other and the communication and their commitment to each other makes my heart squeeze. I absolutely loved their story and the way the ending turned out, coming to the realisation together and finding out what they both enjoyed in a non confrontational way.

The spice is 5/5 with the authors doing an amazing job showing both Allie and Erik’s perspectives.
This is a short story with a very realistic plot, a topic that I’m sure a lot of us can relate to.

This book was very relatable. A couple you've been married for almost 20 years find their connection with each other dull and routine. When the wife starts reading spicy romance novels, it ignites a fire in her that makes her want her husband more than she ever has. This book is very hot. I definitely recommend.

Unbound: One Married Couple's BDSM Journey is book one of the Untying the Knot Series.
This is a quick read, and I found myself disappointed that it was over. However, since this is only book one, I know that there will be others so the disappointment didn’t last very long.
This is a story about one couple, Allie and Erik, and like the title says, their journey. Their marriage isn’t falling apart; it just has slowly been put on the back burner because of kids, exhausting schedules, and life doing what it does best: lifing. They both love each other and I feel like it made this book relatable, not in the specific sense to me (because I'm not married), but in the general “romantic” relationship sense.
I really loved that this book doesn’t treat desire like something shameful or reckless. Allie doesn’t want to leave her marriage; she wants to feel connected again. I feel that when she finally opens up to Erik, the story becomes less about “trying something new” and more about learning how to talk to each other honestly after years of assuming the other person just knows.
I love their dynamic because I feel like it’s rooted in trust and communication. Nothing happens without conversation. Boundaries are talked through. Feelings are acknowledged. I don’t know about any of you, but I feel like communication is very important in any type of relationship, especially in one that involves any type of intimacy. .
I also really love that this story is about a couple in their forties with kids and a full life behind them. They aren’t trying to become someone new; they are reclaiming parts of themselves they lost somewhere along the way.
This won’t be for everyone, and that’s okay. But if you enjoy stories about long-term relationships, emotional intimacy, and couples choosing each other again instead of walking away, this is a great place to start.

I am a KU reader, but I have a physical ARC to read and I want to keep my reading streak going. I stumbled across Unbound yesterday while scrolling the Book of Faces. Seeing it was a multiple novella series, I felt it would be perfect to read this week.
Allie & Erik have been married for years, have three boys, and are in their early forties. Life has become routine, leaving little to no time for their relationship. They’ve settled and have been fine.
Then, one day, Allie purchases a romance book and takes the time to read it that night. Erik is one of the recipients of the after effects, and Allie is the other. Allie wants a little domination in the bedroom, and Erik goes in fully (That’s what she said.) in more ways than one.
This was a 10-15 minute read that kept me hooked from start to finish. I’ll be making my way through the series. I like the fact that the authors kept it short and simple, while making it complete. It was like reading a chapter from a book, but not being left with anything unresolved.
For fans of stories with happily married couples who love each other and choose to introduce something new to rekindle their passion.

Where to begin… Quinn and Black nailed it with this one. They really captured the monotony and burden of real-world life with jobs, kids and a million other adult responsibilities. The toll it takes on even a healthy, loving marriage. The bedroom tipping point scene was so perfectly written—show me a couple together more than a decade that hasn’t had that experience.
Once things get rolling, the heat is scorching yet totally believable. You feel this couple. You want to be this couple.
Loved this story and cannot wait for the next in the series.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! What a great story. I think this needs to happen in a lot of marriages across the world. Should be mandatory reading when couples hit the 10 or 15 year anniversary. Might save a lot of marriages! I love that Allie expressed the power control is only in the bedroom. I think this would help a lot of people understand more the concept of transfer of power. I just love this book, read it twice immediately.
