This would have been perfectly adorable if not for the lack of editing. Even little mistakes can pull you out of the story unexpectedly.
For instance:

"He's so strong and powerful, he and can scoop me up into his arms and carry me up the stairs like it's nothing."

"He stills above me, throwing his back his head and letting out a roar."

There was also the inconsistency of the leading female pulling up her bra strap after feeding her baby earlier in the evening but describing her strapless bra a few hours later (without changing clothes in the interim).

The story was fun and sweet, a five-star read if not for the unfortunate editing issues.

This was such a fun and sweet holiday story set in the Monsters Love Curvy Girls world. A surprise Earthan Christmas party, staged as a Home Alone movie recreation, really pulled so many festive plans together and everyone, young, old, and everyone in between, had a fab time. Of course, there's some steam in here, too ;P I thoroughly enjoyed this coming together of the previous characters as they made the most of this fun celebration :D

Christmas visit with Hyrrokin/Human Familiea

This short novella is a glimpse at the first annual Christmas at Ashmoor Manor. All of the past characters Michele Mills has written about in her Monsters Love Curvy Girls and spin offs make an appearance. This was a fun quick read to follow how everyone is doing.

This is an OK sci-fi alien Christmas novella. It gets 3 stars from me.

Since it was a Christmas novella, it was very short, so there wasn't time for much character development. In this case, though, that didn't really matter, since all the characters were from earlier books. The problem with this was that I didn't remember the details on all the characters, since it had been a while since I read the earlier books.

Most of the characters in this series are likable, especially the Hyrokkin who are so welcoming to humans. I've always liked that they welcome them, even when the humans are afraid of them at first.

It was sweet that Thayne and his staff worked so hard to create a Christmas holiday for Charlotte and the other humans. Since Christmas wasn't a Hyrokkin holiday, it took a lot of effort on everyone's part.

I have always liked that curvy girls were considered beautiful to the Hyrokkin people, since everyone on their planet was much larger than any human. I've also liked that most of the people were openly welcoming to other races, and were fascinated with humans.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Okay. Okay. The big, scary looking Fire Lord planning a surprise Christmas celebration for his honey and the other human women who've settled on Tarvos is ALL SORTS OF SWEET. Sure, he fully expected everyone to be gone by 10 so he could seduce his mate and he was a teeny bit grumpy when people lingered, but that's to be expected, right? The grumpiness from the Fire Lord, that is. Well, and the lingering. After all, it's not every day the human ladies get to gather as a group and spend time together.

Anywho. Thayne wants to throw a holiday celebration for Charlotte and the other human women and they take their decorating cues from the classic holiday film Home Alone. Which...okay. I'm down with that. There's a lot of decorating, a ton of holiday cheer, a lively gathering, and some fire. As one might expect at the residence of the Fire Lord.

Sweet and fun with a splash of the sexiness these Hyrrokin males are known for when their mates are nearby. Oh, and there were lots of kiddos. So many kiddos. Because BABIES! *thumbs up*

This was a quick and enjoyable book that made me laugh out loud and look forward to my own family Christmas. Thayne is the fire lord of Ashmoor and a Hyrrokin male that would do anything for his human wife Charlotte to make her happy and so he invites everyone of there friends especially charlotte’s human friends to a secret Christmas party dinner at sunset and it’s themed to be like Home Alone because they cannot return to earth but must be gone by 10 pm because he has sexy plans for Charlotte afterwards. All the staff have come together to pull it off and will be rewarded handsomely. Charlotte is shocked and surprised by all the work Thayne has put into a Earth Christmas party and it about one of her favorite movies which he doesn’t understand the neglect of the parents in the movie but it makes his wife happy and so he is happy as well. Loved this book and look forward to the next one.

Thayne, the male alien lead, is determined to give his wife/mate, Charlotte, the female human lead, a Christmas celebration like she’s never had. His staff is willing to help and all their friends with human mates are coming too. And then they’re going to have a private celebration because their newest baby is now 6 weeks…

This short story is dual POV, well written and a cute fun and funny slice of life. It is best enjoyed after reading the rest of the Monsters Love Curvy Girls series. I enjoyed the sweetness of Thayne’s intentions and the effort both he and the staff exerted in making an awesome party. I enjoyed Charlotte’s reactions and the integration of all the other characters. A fun seasonal read.

But everyone better be gone by 10pm, because Thayne has some hot and steamy activities planned especially for Charlotte. Ok so there is baby cuteness in this book but that is inculded in the story and not the main interest of it. Thayne is determined to give his beloved, his bound, a special surprise Christmas. The thing is he is not working from books like "The night before Christmas", "A Christma Carol" or even "The Grinch"... nope, it is all based on a vid where the main charater is called Kevin McCallister. How would you go about making Christmas if that was all you had to go on? I have to say I loved the Hyrrokin males' views on it though plus you get to catch up on couples you already read about (if you didn't then go find their books too). Loved it.

This is a cut holiday read for the Monsters Love Curvy Girls series. Thayne is so happy with his new life with his bound and their children that he wants to celebrate humans. Human women have willingly celebrated Tavros' holidays but he wanted to give them a human holiday. The movie Home Alone has become very popular among both humans and Hyrrokyn so he and his staff decide to have a Home Alone Christmas. It is to be a secret but all human women, their bound and their offspring are to be invited. This is a cute and loving story.

Good

A fun Christmas themed short, set in the Hyrrokin world, and revisiting the Fire Lord Thayne Ashmoor and his human bound Charlotte, as they have a big old Christmas celebration. It’s all upbeat fun, though I have to admit I’m on the Hyrrokin’s side regarding the movie itself! There are lots of cameos and updates to the characters within the Monsters Love Curvy Girls series, so it’s an enjoyable quick read for fans of the Hyrrokin.
This one is strictly for those who have read and enjoyed the series because otherwise you won’t get most of the references, but it’s no hardship to go read those and come back to enjoy this one.

Fire Lord Holiday is a sweet, full of feels story that felt like a BIG hug and had feelings of butterflies flittering in the tummy.
What a joy it was to rejoin old friends from previous books in the series along with their darling little ones as Fire Lord Ashmoor brings the human tradition of Christmas to the manor.
Expertly written and delightfully yummy I loved everything about this excellent entry in the series!.

Thayne and Charlotte are back! They were one of my favorite Mills’ couples. Thayne once again wants to surprise Charlotte with a celebration. Having read Thayne’s love story, I love the addition of his offspring and the glimpse into their personalities. This book is sweetly sentimental and just a delight to read. I would encourage romance readers to read it. However, its best read about all the couples before reading this book. There is such depth that can be missed if do don’t know all the couples’ stories but its still an enjoyable book without reading the others.

It’s like seeing Christmas with fresh eyes! This novella is so freaking cute, and the fascination with the Home Alone movie is funny, but also a way better choice than some of the others they may have stumbled across. Yes, it could have used a proofread, but it was still enjoyable as it was. I loved that all of the previous characters were collected in this one holiday short and that the staff came together more as a family than servants to do something none of them had experienced before. It’s a fun, festive read and full of all the personalities I’ve come to love in this book series!

Not what I expected

After I saw the cover I expected a christmas kids themed book.
When I read the inspiration was home alone, I thought there would be kids pranking their families.
But the story was about a romanticized christmas.
Nice story to remind people that you can add your twist to the holidays.
Personally I wish they had mentioned sending ornaments to guests from the tree.
As well about some of the hybrids that did not inherit obvious non human traits. Especially since some of the planet did not like humans

I loved the Christmas story with all of the characters so far in the series. You definitely need to read the previous books to thoroughly enjoy the story.
The book is in Charlotte and Thayne's perspective. It includes all of the human/Hyrrokin couples and their offspring. Love the theme of home alone.
The Hyrrokin world is fascinating. I loved how the two worlds were combined.
Plenty of romance, action and mystery.
A nice ,fun story on a cold winter night.

A short fun Christmas holiday celebration that gives readers a chance to see all their favorite characters from the series and their offspring, but focuses on the couple from book 5 ( His Human Ward). I would definitely recommend reading all or most of the series before reading this book.

What a fun book! This story puts all the couple from the Monsters Love Curvy Girls series in one location for a human Christmas celebration—based on the movie Home Alone! Told from Thayne and Charlotte’s points of view, it’s a sweet, whimsical & cute story of honouring human Christmas traditions while trying to sneak some adult time. I loved visiting the Touchstones, Hellstones, Strikestones and Grindstones too. It’s a great holiday catch up of my favourite couples, their bounds, and their children.

Oh my! I love this story. Of course I love the whole series. This is a Christmas tale of Hyrrokins having a Christmas with their human mates and their half human half hyrrokin children. This story follows mainly Thayne and Charlotte and their three children, but also other characters from pervious books. Mailnly, its about family during the christmas season. It's interesting to read a how an alien may view our Christmas tradition.

Absolutely love the story. It was so wonderful that the Hyrrokin Fire Lord and his staff threw a Christmas "Home Alone" themed Christmas for all the human bonds, their children and their mates. I loved this story so much and it ties in with all the other stories with their children at their side. It was fun, exciting, and loving. It was great how everyone treated the staff as family members. I loved, loved, loved the story.

Embracing the holidays

If you have read the previous books in this story you are not going to want to miss this holiday special. The author took a holiday classic and used it as the roadmap for her alien holiday, but I think the staff far outdid themselves. We got to catch with so many of our favorite characters and their human mates. I love how she brought us updates on them all and their children. It’s a while until the holidays, but I needed this update in my life. I can’t wait to see who finds their other next.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Merry Christmas Hyrrokin style! It was so good to visit with old friends...made me want to go back and read their stories all over again. Thayne and Charlotte have always been a favorite couple and I love getting to meet their kids. I enjoyed visiting with the staff at Ashmore Manor, again, some of my favorite characters.  What a wonderful treat Michele Mills gave us in this Christmas story.

This author is a mind reader. I was wondering about the kids of the humans who were bound with their hyrrokin and here we are.

We have a nice Christmas celebration, and it was a surprise too for the humans. It was also nice getting to meet with old friends. But it is also heartwarming that our humans is living a happy good life with their bound.

Book eight in the Monsters Love Curvy Girls series, if you have been reading this series do not miss this story. Thayne wants to have a Christmas celebration for the human women, their offspring, men and other family members. Charlotte does not know about it. soooooooo soooo love this...I love this whole series...and have one that is dedicated to christmas? oh boy..
Fire lord will do anything for his mate..even celebrate human christmas...which he will organize wih his staf...for his mate...and her human friends who lives on Taros....and ..it is big hit...when it is all done..
you will have a chance to meer all couples from previous books.
