A beautifully written devotional that encourages you to not just simply share the message of Christianity but to BE the message. Very inspiring.

Be The Message is a nice 30-day devotional. It starts out with Day 1 which consists of:
Open Yourself, Open God's Word, Open Your Mind, Open Your Heart, Open Your Life, Open Your Arms, and it quotes scripture to go along with your daily walk with the Lord, it has spaces to write down your own personal thoughts, it tells how to BE THE MESSAGE for the Lord. There us a prayer that I like and it applies to a lot of us:
Lord, I spend a lot of time trying to close my heart to the needs around me, not because I'm unkind, but just to keep my sanity. There's a lot of need out there. I ask You to pry open my heart. Show me what I need to see. And help me deal with all of it.
A lot of us can relate to that prayer, if we let ourselves think of all the need in the world and just what we can do with the resources we have, a lot of us would fall short. We do need to ask the Lord to show us what we need to see and help us to deal with it all. This book is inspirational. It's small and compact, so you can carry it with you. It has other prayers too, that might helpful in your everyday life. Pick up a copy, you'll like it.

Welcome to my review for Be the Message Devotional by Kerry and Chris Shook . This is a really nice devotional that you complete in 30 days.

This is hardbound and so lovely. I love the message and that it gives you space to write your thoughts in . It starts off with a paragraph that says open your self. Than below that open gods word etc it will give you a short teaching on a subject and will fit into any devotional time you have.

This 30 day devotional will help you cultivate your life message and live it out.

If you are looking for a really nice devotional that is packed with insight in each daily reading than I hope you give this one a try.

I received a free copy in order to make an informed review but my opinions are my own.

*I received a complimentary copy of this book from Multnomah Publishers in exchange for my honest review.

Most devotionals that I read are usually composed of a thought, some Scripture, and some sort of action at the end like reflection or prayer.

This devotional is quite different in that it had those elements but also has a place to write the thoughts that the reader has during the devotional; not at the end.
What this does is allow the reader to go back and see what was written so that he/she can remember what he/she was experiencing and learning. By doing this, the reader grows to become the change that this world so desperately needs.
