One bed, two enemies, and three bottles of wine. What could go wrong?

Welcome to San Camanez, a humble, peaceful little island in the Puget Sound and home to the Vino Vixens. Four cousins—and single moms—who run a vineyard, love the wine they sell, raise their kids together, and still hold out hope that not all men are the like ones they married. This is Raina’s story …

Jagger
Raina Aaronson is my nemesis. The Poison Ivy to my Batman, the Fem-Bot to my Austin Powers. Wherever she is, so is a guaranteed bad time. So when the two of us wind up stranded, unable to get home, with just one bed left at the Inn, the only reasonable thing to do to pass the time is get drunk.

Raina
Jagger McEvoy can sleep in the woodshed for all I care. That bearded nuisance is the contaminated cork in my merlot. The black rot on my grapes. However, when the power goes out at the B&B, he goes all out helping the guests, making sure they’re safe, warm and comfortable—taking his shirt off in the process.
Wait, so this man isn’t the irritating, self-serving asshat I thought he was? He actually cares? And not just for me, but for my son as well.
Because when danger comes knocking on my door, threatening the safety and peace I’ve so carefully curated for my family, Jagger might be the only person able to stop it.
Unless I screw things up first.

*This is series two in the San Camanez Island world. Jagger is brother #5 from series one (The Brew Brothers). You don't have to have read the first series to start this one. Each book focuses on a different couple, with no cliffhangers, and an HEA for all. There will be lots of crossover between the series, and everything takes place on the quirky, fictional island of San Camanez. Happy reading!

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when the kids are at school and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.

A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, Whitley’s books have all the funny and fabulously filthy words you could hope for.

Jagger's story was worth the wait - the animosity between Jagger and Riana has been an item of note through the previous series (The Single Dads of San Camanez: The Brew Brothers) and I loved that their story kicked off this new series. Something that I have discovered about Whitley Cox's writing is that she will leave these breadcrumbs in earlier books and then readers get to have that lightbulb moments.
Something that I adore about this book, and the previous books that I have read by Whitley Cox, is that they feel like spicier and adultier versions of Hallmark movies. Readers are taken through the full gamut of emotion - there is pain, humor, grade-a spice, suspense, and satisfying conclusions.
It was so much fun watching Raina and Jagger fall for each other. This book was very much a rivals to lovers and if a reader has read the Brew Brothers series, they really understand how long running this animosity is. But in this book readers get a chance to see that Raina uses wit and cutting comments as a defense mechanism, which is incredibly relatable. And Jagger, that snack of a lumberjack was just perfect. - he would push Riana's button yet offered a safe space for her to turn to. This book is an easy 5/5 read and I cannot wait to find out more about the rest of he vino vixens.

Last year, I was lucky enough to read all four books in the Brew Brothers series, which centred around the McEvoy brothers (if you haven’t already read them—do it!). Five years ago, they tragically lost their wives in a car accident, and the series beautifully told the stories of the four single dads: Clint, Bennett, Wyatt, and Dom.
Now, we finally get Jagger’s story—the fun uncle, the fifth brother—and it's the first book in the Vino Vixens series.
But really, this is Raina and Jagger’s story.
It’s Raina vs. Jagger, Winery vs. Brewery…and of course, it all starts with a storm...

What follows? Two nights. One bed. A B&B. Bottles of wine and bottles of beer. What could possibly go wrong—or very, very right?

Neither of them wants to be stuck together. They’d both rather poke themselves in the eye! But fate has other plans. We learn they met through online dating a couple of years ago, chatted for weeks, and then... Raina bailed right before they were supposed to meet. No catfishing, just cold feet. She blocked him, disappeared, and that was that. Fast forward: she’s now on the island, in his world, running a local winery with her cousins. At odds with Jagger at every turn. The whole island knows. And here we are.

This sets the tone for the Vino Vixens series: a close-knit family of strong single moms running a business together, raising their kids, and leaning on one another. It’s full of heart, community, and hope.

As expected, the banter is top-tier. The chemistry between Raina and Jagger is hilarious, sharp, and downright addictive. You’ll genuinely laugh out loud.

We already saw glimpses of Jagger in the Brew Brothers series—flirty, carefree, the life of the party. The best Uncle. But here, we see so much more. He’s selfless, grounded, and quietly longing for what his brothers have found. The way he’s patient and kind with Raina, even when she’s at her iciest, is everything. Honestly, he’s like this with everyone he meets.
Raina, on the other hand, is prickly and guarded—and I loved all the “Frozen” and “Little Mermaid” references. The Elsa quips were perfection.
I still remember messaging Whitley after the first Brew Brothers book about the Ariel vibes, because as a massive Little Mermaid fan, I was thrilled. To see those nods again? Disney princess heart: full.

But this story is more than just a steamy rom-com. It’s about healing. Trusting again. Letting go of past hurt and allowing love back in.
Whitley’s writing, as always, delivers:
Banter. Check.
Chemistry. Check.
Lovable characters. Check.
Depth and emotion. Check.

It’s not all tied up with a neat little bow, and that’s what makes it real. Even if steamy romance isn’t usually your thing, there’s enough substance, character development, and side plots to fully draw you in.

Note: While this book is a crossover with the Brew Brothers series, you don’t have to read that series first. But if you do, you’ll definitely appreciate the references and returning characters even more. It’s not a requirement—it’s just a rewarding bonus!

--

Thank you so much to Whitley for sending me an early copy to read and review - all opinions are my own.

The first book in the new series, The Single Moms of San Camanez, is about Raina Aaronson, the youngest cousin, and Jagger, the youngest of the McEnvoy brothers.

Most of the book is centred around the couple and I normally would like more about the ‘problem’ in the story. However, their situation is another issue and it works well. I also love the crossover of characters from the Brew Brothers series.

Both of the lead characters would rather poke their eyes with their fingers than get trapped together with no way of escape but that’s exactly what happens. To say there are some humorous scenes would be an understatement. The fun banter between the two literally had me chuckling out loud at times.

Raina has her reasons for being the prickly woman she is but she definitely needed someone like Jagger to help her reevaluate her thoughts on quite a few things. Jagger is the biggest tease but he also gets stung a few times by Raina’s barbs. I like both characters and they make a fabulous couple.

Some excellent expressions in the story show exactly what the character is thinking and feeling. One of my favourites is when Jagger says this about the local school principal, “Who the f*ck cares what that washed up, p*be in a potato salad thinks?…” 🤣

When the action gets going in this story so does your heart rate. Holy moly talk about excitement plus. This is writing at its best where the author stirs readers to the point of desperately needing to know how things go and I love how there isn’t a magic wand making everything right and all tied up in a bow.

I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series, Hot for the Hockey Player with Gabrielle!

Jagger and Raina. Oh how I loved this couple! This enemies to so much more was everything I wanted and so much more. Jagger and Raina have been dancing around each other for years. Their feud is well known among the islanders as well as entertaining for them as well. The insults come swift and downright funny. When they are stranded on a near by island with no way to get away from each other, they are forced onto a one bed accommodation. Love that!!! Two days, two enemies, one B&B, lots of working together to make the best for others, some wood chopping, and a dark room with lots of confessions later makes them see each other in a new light. Once enemies now sort of more than friends.
Jagger has had my heart for a while now. His brothers' books solidified that for me. He is selfless in that he took care of all their children while they needed to work, or decompress, or fall in love. The way he is patient with Raina...is everything. He knows what he could have with her if he can get past her Elsa like behavior. Also? The nicknames he comes up with? Pure gold!
Raina is complicated. And for good reason. Her past is what made her what she is and how she defends herself. Jagger is so much more than she can believe. She has never had someone like him in her life. And that is a good thing. No, its an excellent thing. She just doesn't know how to process it all. I loved how she trusts Jagger to take care of her in every way.
The two of them build something strong until its shaken by her past. They need to overcome it together but Raina will do everything to get in her own way. Jagger won't have it, at least with respect to her son and will do everything to make sure they are safe. The dangers that come at them are something Raina must take on. Her power, her strength is what they both need.

Tropes:
-small town
-single mom
-forced proximity
-one bed
-enemies to lovers
-trauma healing
-dual POV
-suspense
-band of brothers

I can already tell I am going to adore this series. I love how Whitley branched into this with Jagger. I knew I was going to love his story. He has always had a special place in my heart from the previous series because he always helped with the children. He was the best Uncle. I loved that he was always a little grumpy, too. I was anxious to see him open up.

Raina and Jagger started their first meeting off on the wrong foot. They have been enemies since then, despising each other for years. Mother nature had her own plans, forcing these two together when a storm hit, leaving them with only one room and one bed.

The forced proximity allows them to see through their hatred for each other and start to see each other’s sides. From there, a relationship begins to bloom. I was giddy over the nicknames Jagger kept coming up with. It was so stinking cute. Jagger showed his true nature with his patience and understanding. Raina has been through a lot in her life. She carries trauma. Jagger was more than willing to help her work through it, and in the process, they fell in love.

I highly recommend this book. It is a spin-off series from The Single Dads of San Camanez. Jagger is the fifth brother of the men from that series. I also highly recommend reading that series. It was fantastic. I hope you will read this and love it, too.

Quotes:
“Kill each other, or add to the population. I don’t care. Just don’t damage anything and don’t disturb the other guests.”

I had a date with Jagger “The Jerk” McEvoy, and I wasn’t nearly as terrified about it as I thought I’d be.

“What exactly do you want, Raina?”
“I want you, you jerk.”

“Okay. I would very much like to have sex with you again. Many times, in fact. As many times as you would like. And if my dick needs a break, you are welcome to sit on my face and drench my beard.”

Spicy Chapters:
-Chapter 11
-Chapter 20
-Chapter 21
-Chapter 25

Whitley Cox kicks off her brand-new The Single Moms of San Camanez: The Vino Vixens series with everything we’ve come to expect from her — razor-sharp banter, sizzling chemistry, emotional depth, and characters who stick with you long after you turn the final page. Hot for the Jerk is the kind of story that grabs your heart and refuses to let go, balancing whip-smart humor with gut-wrenching vulnerability in only the way Cox can.

Raina is one of four cousins — all single moms — running a vineyard in sunny San Camanez. Not only does this unique backdrop serve as a beautiful setting for second chances and family healing, but it also adds a rich layer of closeness, community, and hope. These women are raising their children together, leaning on one another, and daring to believe that not all men are like the ones they once married. It’s warm, it’s messy, it’s real — and it’s utterly compelling.

Enter Jagger — the titular “jerk” — and the man who pushes all of Raina’s buttons. The tension between them is electric, a perfect mix of love-hate friction and undeniable attraction. With Jagger’s family owning the local brewery (yes, fans of Cox’s Single Dads of San Camanez series will love this crossover), there’s already history and heat simmering beneath the surface.

But when a storm strands Jagger and Raina together at a cozy bed-and-breakfast? Pure romantic gold. From chopping firewood to building puzzles, the intimacy grows as fast as the banter flies. Those chapters are swoony perfection, showing Cox at her best — playful, passionate, and emotionally rich.

Back on the island, though, danger creeps in, threatening the fragile peace Raina has built for herself and her son. With twists, turns, and tension mounting, the stakes rise — and so does the intensity of Raina and Jagger’s bond.

Hot for the Jerk is more than just a rom-com with heat (though it definitely delivers on the spice!) — it’s about healing, learning to trust again, and finding love where you least expect it. Whitley Cox has laid the perfect foundation for what promises to be a standout series full of heart, sass, and sexy single parents finding their happily ever afters. Bring on the next Vino Vixen — I’m already hooked. 🍷💖🔥

Wow! I was already in love with Jagger with the way he was with his family & really wanted him to find that special person like his brothers had. There was a spark between him & Raina when they were around each other but not in a lovey dove way & when they get stranded because of the storm & forced to be together we find out why. Realising that they are going to have to spend time together they try to numb thr bubbling fued by drinking the wine & beer thar had been left in their vehicles but it only leads to some drunken truths, secrets, sexy times & the different nicknames he comes up for her had me smiling most of the time.
Spending time together made them in up to why they became enemies & as they become closer Raina opens up to him about her past which only makes him fall for her even more bring a strong determined woman who loves her son Marco so much.
When they finally get back to the island Jagger wants Raina to know his feelings for her are strong & we see sassy, fun Raina but just as they were about to start dating her past came back unexpected.
She is terrified when her dead husbands family find her & try to take Marco from her but Jagger is determined not to let that happen & together with both their family & friends they make sure nobody will take him.
There's a lot of dark, emotional & painful times before we have a chance of them having a happy ever after as a family.
This is a story that had me desperatly turning the pages wanting more & i definitely recommend reading this, its full of some wonderful characters especially Leorna.

Ready for some sweet and spicy? Here's a new book in The Single Moms of San Camanez-The Vino Vixens Series. Set in Puget Sound with backdrops of two family-owned businesses and you'll arch-enemies Jagger and Raina who are stranded together during a winter rainstorm. You can put two and two together and think of a few scenarios that occur during the 48 hours of being stranded and life to follow back on the island. And don't forget to add in the sweet, hot, and spicy scenes while you're thinking about what you'll be reading.

"The Poison Ivy to my Batman' is a one of the many lines Raina uses to describe Jagger "The Jerk" who really is not a jerk at all. This was a fun read, but it's deeper than you'd think from the title. While the main story is about Raina and Jagger going from enemies to lovers, there are so many side-stories that need to be mentioned: both are totally devoted to their families, having each others back, and working together to run their businesses and home. All of the main characters have faced deaths of family members and many have experiences abuse which becomes a main part of this book. It's got some terribly funny scenes at the B&B where the two are stranded, great characters who are well developed, and a few twists I was not expecting. It also has several scenes where the topic are neither fun, nor funny, and quite serious - but it all works out in the end, of course.

Even if you are not into hot and steamy reads, I think there are enough deep story lines going on that you should give this book a chance. It's full of so many other substories that are worthy of your time.

Thank you, Whitley Cox, for allowing me to read an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Hot for the Jerk is a crossover story set in San Camanez World and it’s Jagger McEvoy and Raina Aaronson’s entertaining story. It’s a well written, steamy, captivating read that hooked me from the first few pages and there was no putting down until the final word was read.
There’s nothing Jagger likes more than butting heads with single mum Raina, one of the owners on the island winery but when they end up stuck in the small bed and breakfast with only one bed durning a storm things are about to get a lot more interesting.
What could possibly go wrong when two enemies are stuck with one bed and three bottle of wine……..
Jagger may flirt and let everyone believe his is not looking to settle down but underneath the face he puts on he wants to have what his brothers have. It seems he may get the opportunity to prove his is capable of love when Raina’s past catches up with her and he and his brother step up to protect her and her son.
What follows is an entertaining, steamy and witty read with characters I feel hard and fast for. This is This is book one in The Single Moms of San Camanez: The Vino Vixens about four cousins who are single mums, run a winery and all have a tale to tell. I loved everything about this book from the hot men to the loveable single mums and everything in between.

For those of you that read Ms. Cox’s Brew Brothers series and didn’t know, the Vino Vixens series takes up where that series left off. For those that haven’t read the first series, I Strongly recommend you do - because it’s a fantastic 4 book series. But I will say, it’s not a must to read the Brew Brothers series before you start the Vino Vixens, but it will make for a Much Better reading experience.

All that said, this is Jagger, the youngest brother from the prior series and Raina’s story. These two have been at odds for years, to the point they literally spit fire and insults at one another whenever they are in the same room. Trust me, their banter throughout the book makes for some hilariously fun reading. Especially when they get stuck at a B&B with only one room available due to a heavy storm and to survive the night they decide getting drunk is the only way to survive it. Secrets come out and challengers get made which only add to the fun of the storyline. But what happens when the storm stops and they have to return to their island homes? What happens when Raina’s past comes calling and Jagger is not only a witness but comes to her and her son Marco’s aid? Will Raina finally let him into her life?

Excellent story and this reader can’t wait for the next Vino Vixen book to hit the shelves.

Of all the Brew Brothers books, this was my least favorite. However, it was still well-written and entertaining!

The OPENING SCENE was one of my favorite scenes of all time. I loved it! It set the tone for the chemistry between the two love interests very well. This is definitely a haters to lovers trope.

This book is sort of like a cross-over, where it co-stars Jagger, the youngest of the Brew Brothers from the San Camanez series, but really Raina, the first of the Vino Vixens, is the central character of this book. In the other books, all the men were Single Dads and in this book, Jagger is childless and Raina is the single parent.

While I enjoyed the set up for the Vino Vixen cousins, this book still fell short for me. As there are children involved, I look forward to seeing the new partner bond with the child. Jagger and Raina's son did not have enough time together on page and it was a little disappointing. Also, they did spend a lot of time hating each other, which was a somewhat off-putting. It was difficult to feel their connection when they finally did...connect. *ahem*

All in all, I am still glad I read it because I love this world and I can't wait to see what the Island Elders decide!

Thank you Whitley and team for sending me an advanced copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily!

Was wondering if we’d get Jagger in a book of his own and the wait was worth it.

Classic friends to lovers trope with a few twists and turns in there made this book a great read. We knew Raina and Jagger had a troubled past, to say the least, what with their families fighting over Bonn’s land for their businesses.

But having to be stuck in a B&B while storms ravaged the island was not on their list of things they ever wanted to happen. Especially having to share 1 room.

You saw something shift between the two slowly and surely as you learned a bit more about Raina and her life and you got to see how nice, caring and helpful Jagger could be to Lenore the B&B owner.

Loved seeing his and Raina’s interactions together. Love the animosity between them and the playful back and forth. You could see something building and just waited for the penny to drop on both sides.

Only an outside problem could threaten to rip them apart. A danger to Raina and her son Marco, to which Jagger jumps into defensive mode (totally hot!)

Will this danger tear them apart? Would jagger ever crack that tough exterior of hers? Would Raina trust him a bough to let him try.

Loved being back on San Camanez island and seeing the McEvoy Brothers and their families again as well as Rainas family.

Bring on the next book in the series.

Raina and Jagger have hated each other for years. But when a storm strands them at a bed and breakfast with just one bed, everything starts to change. The banter is sharp, the chemistry is intense, and the tension builds in the best way.

Jagger completely stole my heart. He is rugged and real, but also incredibly patient and kind. Watching him break down Raina’s walls and bond with her son was pure magic. And his constant stream of goofy nicknames made me smile the whole way through.

Raina’s story hit hard. She is strong and protective, a devoted mom with deep wounds from her past. Her healing journey felt honest and earned. The vineyard setting she shares with her cousins adds warmth and richness to the story, creating a world I already want to revisit.

This was my first Whitley Cox read and definitely not my last. If you love heartfelt romance with steam, sass, and strong women, this one is for you.

Hot for the Jerk is a crossover book set on the island of San Camanez. Jagger is the last of the McEvoy Brew Brothers and Raina the 1st of the Vino Vixen cousins to butt heads and fight their way to love and a HEA. A brilliantly written romance that combines a multitude of tropes but is totally unique. I loved everything about it, from the dialogue to the sparks and tension, the heartwarming and thoughtful actions and the family interactions. The kiddos are the absolute best! There's also a touch of darkness with Raina's horrible and traumatic past rearing its ugly head which takes a truly heroic effort to overcome. You do not have to have read the previous books to love the story, but you most certainly will want to once you meet this amazing bunch of people. A page-turner and keeper to be sure and I can't wait to find out what's next! I was fortunate to have received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

As a huge fan of the Brew Brothers series I was so looking forward to this new series and the questions I had regarding the younger brother Jagger and the tension and animosity towards Raina would finally be answered. The banter between these two is absolutely hilarious and has you gripped to their story just because of the smiles and laughs it pulls from you. The barbs these two traded and the tension that always surrounded them gave the outside appearance of distaste, however as the layers got pulled back and eyes were opened these two might find that it was so much more. There was plenty of drama and suspense to this story that will have you on the edge of your seat at times. It was also filled with passion, heat and overflowing with emotion. The protectiveness that Jagger shows towards Raina and her son is just another big tick in this storyline that has you falling in love with this couple.

Hot for the jerk is so good! Wow just wow! This book has everything you need enemies to lovers, single mom, one bed! I was giggling non stop! Hot for the jerk had me up for hours after putting my kids to bed! The banter and tension is just everything! From fighting at the b&b front desk, to sharing a bed and drunk sharing porn kinks, to asking Jagger to go down on her after he offered and she said no the first time, and then going back home and Raina’s like no stay away from me but don’t and starts chasing after him! Then trying to push him away again when her past come back to haunt them and he’s there the whole time and saves her and her son, and her brothers and brother in law deserve to rot in jail! And just the perfect ending finding out she’s pregnant the same time she got engaged!! I’ve only read one other book by Whitley Cox but I’ve been impressed both times definitely going to have to pick up a few others!

Hot For The Jerk is the perfect start to the new Single Moms of San Camanez series!! Finally, Jaggers story is coming out! I have loved Jagger since the beginning and this book did not disappoint. Whitley Cox has done an amazing job of building up Jaggers character throughout the Single Dads series and then going to his point of view was perfect!!

Jagger and Raina have been rivals for as long as they can remember. Raina and her cousins run a vineyard while Jagger and his brothers run a brewery. Both families are vying for some prime real estate for their crops. When Raina and Jagger end up stranded together they only have one option to stay at an inn with just one bed left. When the power goes out Jagger instantly starts helping where he can and Raina finally gets to see the selfless side of Jagger. Then getting back home Raina has trouble at her door and the only person who might be able to help is Jagger himself.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Rescued by the Single Dad (The Single Dads of San Camanez: The Brew Brothers Book 1)
Summer with the Single Dad (The Single Dads of San Camanez: The Brew Brothers Book 2)
Smitten with the Single Dad (Brew Brothers #3)
Challenged by the Single Dad (Brew Brothers #4)

This is Raina and Jagger’s story. After her husband died she moved to the island and is just trying to raise her son. She met Jagger and they connected but her past made her walk away. Now years later they are stuck together after a storm. They figure out that they have things in common and learn about each other. They form a kind of friendship. He wants more and is willing to work at a relationship, but will they be able to have that when her past comes for her? Or will they lose everything to the danger of her past?

While reading The Brew Brothers series isn't necessary to enjoy this series, I highly recommend it. It sets up the players for this series and gives you the background on our character's rivalry, and the series is oh-so-good!

Jagger is the last uncoupled brother from the Brew Brothers series and this bearded brooder has been a source of mystery throughout. I knew he'd be dynamite once we busted through this hard shell and he did not disappoint!

Raina is his nemesis from the island's nearby winery. Smart-mouthed, sassy, and more than a little sexy, she's gasoline to his dynamite. Together, they're a 5 alarm fire.

I loved this book, the BB series that ends here and that this starts the Vino Vixens stories (we'll stay on our favorite island for a while longer, yay!) This story is signature Whitley Cox with tons of heart, heat and loads of humor! Can't wait for the next one!

Hot for Jerk by Whitley Cox is a fun, steamy, and entertaining contemporary romance that kept me hooked from start to finish. The story follows the fiery and determined heroine, whose chemistry with the “jerk” hero is electric and full of playful banter. I loved the way Cox balanced humor and heat, making their interactions both laugh-out-loud funny and sizzlingly passionate.

The characters felt well-developed and relatable, with enough flaws and growth to keep things interesting. The story’s pacing was spot-on, moving briskly without sacrificing emotional depth. I especially appreciated the authentic emotional moments that balanced the lightheartedness and added real stakes to their relationship.

While the plot follows some familiar romance tropes, Whitley Cox’s witty writing and strong character dynamics made the story feel fresh and engaging. Overall, I’m giving Hot for Jerk four stars. It’s a perfect pick for readers who enjoy a spicy, humorous romance with heart.

This is the first book in a new series, and this is Jagger and Raina’s story.
This story is about four cousins who are single moms, and they run a vineyard together. A s far as Jagger is concerned, Raina is his nemesis and he loves to push her buttons, and they try to avoid each other. When these two end up stranded together with only one bed, and three bottles of vino, is this the turning point in their relationship?
This is a well written easy to read, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, danger, action, suspense, intrigue, enemies / lovers, forced proximity, opposites attract, animosity, humor, witty banter, revelations, trust, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Hot for the Jerk by Whitley Cox is a romance book and the very first one in the author's single moms of San Camanez series regarding the two characters Riana and Jagger. These characters do not like each other at all at the beginning of the book. They are enemies for sure;) But then they both end up stuck with each other and one bed. I love one bed enemies to lovers stories, so this was a must read! Riana and Jagger have been arguing with each other for many years and are stubborn.
I loved the relationship between these two characters. Riana is untrusting of people and Jagger is a big softee who takes care of kids. I love how Jagger eventually helps Riana with her trauma, that kind of relationship is very close to home for me. I highly recommend this author and the single moms of San Camanez series!

This was full-on.
Enemies to lovers.
Matchmaking families
‘Competing business’

This was a seriously fun read but it had some very heavy topics too.
Our heroine has had a very tough life - coercion, a**se. My heart broke for her.
Our hero, Jagger (love that name!) started off with hate in his heart but as he got to know Raina, that soon changed.

This was a long book, so I couldn’t read in one sitting. If I had, I would be going to work on no sleep 😴- otherwise it would have been devoured.

The humour was top notch - how many times can he double flip the bird to his brothers.. 🤣
You could feel the love in their families and you could certainly feel it between them. It didn’t hurt that it was a wee bit spicy either…
Awesome book!

5 Star Review Hot For The Jerk (The Single Moms of San Camenez #5) by Whitley Cox

I was so excited when I heard that Whitley Cox had a new series releasing and that the hero is none other than Jagger McEvoy the only single brother of the Brew brothers.

The woman he falls for is Raina Aaronson. I love my visits to San Camanez island and now we have the Single Moms series. Hot for the Jerk is a crossover story and I loved everything about it.

The sparks fly between them and the chemistry intense. When they get trapped together during a storm, lines are crossed.

This was a passionate, witty story with characters whose story you cannot help but be drawn into. It was well written and entertaining.

I expected to enjoy this story since the hero is Jagger, the youngest of the five McEvoy brothers (Single Dads of San Camanez) and the heroine is Raina, one of the four cousins who own the winery (Single Moms of San Camanez: The Vino Vixens). Most of Cox's readers were already in love with 'Uncle Jagger.' But I would not recommend reading this book unless you'd already read the four older brothers' books, because the first scene is a Christmas open house with all the brothers, their new wives, and their children as hosts, and most of the island in attendance. Other tidbits, like the fuss over the land use proposals, wouldn't be fully appreciated unless they understood from previous books why the Council of Island Elders were judging competitive propositions.

Loved Raina and Jagger, their banter was fun, witty and the two were made for each other, they just haven’t figured it out yet. These two met on a dating app and when the time came to meet she ghosted him for reasons she wasn’t ready to share yet, not realizing they are both on the same island, small town and no way to avoid each other, this is not going to be easy especially with the attracting they both have. When thee two are thrown together due to a storm and stuck together in the same room for a few days because they can’t get back to the island, what’s left to do but get to know each other better. I’m always a sucker for an enemies to lovers story and their story did not disappoint.

I was so delighted that the cousins with the winery are getting a series. This time it's the single moms' turn. I was even more excited that Jagger is the hero for the first book in this series. This book definitely gives off enemies to lovers vibes. This had everything I love about the setting on San Camanez island. It has the perfect combo of heart, heat, humor, and suspense. There are some bad characters in this one. Jagger is going to show us why he is the lovable uncle that steals our hearts, but also the protective guy who will burn down the world for those he cares about. I love that Raina is a spitfire and keeps Jagger on his toes. A great kick off to the series and I can't wait for more from this series.

Jagger is the last McEvoy brother to fall! Locking horn with the Ice Queen, Raina one of the owners of the winery is like a sport for him until it isn’t and they are stuck in small B&B on another island during a storm. The confinement will bring a lot to the surface. Jagger wants what is brothers found and protecting the ones he love is on top of his list. When Raina’s past come knocking, him and his brother will do everything in their power to protect Raina and her son. Funny, steamy, soul searching and the way abuse is presented makes you reflect. The four cousins have a story to tell and Raina is the first, she is strong, resilient and so smart. Thank you Whitley for the amazing story.
