Another great volume in this series, though it is a very sad one. I know it's partially explained later, but .
Yen Press/Ize Press needs to update their translation standards for their Korean books and keep honorifics. There's a line Hanjoon has that makes no sense in context and even in the "translation notes" at the end because the publisher is so stupid about removing honorifics from Korean works. The publisher at least some of the time keep honorifics in their Japanese works, so the publisher knows honorifics matter. There is truly no reason to have a different policy for Korean works, even if this translation isn't as ridiculous as the nonsense they're doing for "Semantic Error". It's especially worrisome as they turn to getting into translating Chinese works, as well. I appreciate the diversity and that more English publishers are getting into translating Korean and Chinese works, but this policy of removing honorifics - and as many Korean cultural markers as possible, I was honestly pleasantly surprised one of the dishes this volume kept its Korean name, given how bad the policy of removal is - is dumb and needs to be removed entirely.
They finally got together at the end of book two and then this. I get that there has to be ups and downs but I'm starting to really dislike Jaeha's cowardly ways. He never seems to have an opinion and always goes with whatever is the easiest. It makes Eunho seem almost like a doormat. Saying that, the artwork is great and I love the silk pages. I hope that this story turns around soon
Jaeha! He has such low self esteem… It makes me so damn sad. And Eunho… he’s trying so hard to reassure Jaeha but you can tell he’s anxious that Jaeha’s going to run away.. Time apart can help but Jaeha definitely needs to help himself…
